🔑No one's P.O.V🔥

"Lucy, we just suffered from loosing mom, and now you're down here with a boy?!" Sting said.

"If you have a problem with boys, then you should go change your gender." Lucy replied. Natsu and Yukino both held in a laugh.

"Lucy! Sting! Let's not cause anymore drama today. Sting, Yukino, we'll see you later. Lucy, we should get home." Their father, Jude, said.

"Fine. Bye dad, Lucy." Sting said as he pulled Yukino to his side and left.

"I'm not going home where all of her stuff is!" Lucy yelled.

"Lucy, I can't do anything about it. I miss your mother as well, but we have to face reality here. She's passed. Now we need to go home." Jude said as he'll grabbed her wrist and pulled her out.

🔥Natsu's P.O.V🔥

My mom came out right after they left, which was horrible timing.

"Hey Natsu! How was school today?" She asked.

"It was fine. Hey mom, do you know the Heartfilia's?" I asked bluntly.

"Oh dear, yes. I was in charge of their passed mother. Let me guess, Lucy Heartfilia is taking it pretty hard?"

"Yes, but how did you know that?"

"She always came here after school to talk to her mother. Her mother was the only person that she would open up to fully. Do you know Lucy? Know her enough to get along with her?"

"Yes. Why?"

"I want you to try and befriend her. She needs someone to open up to who has had some of the same experiences. You remember when your father died. You remember the pain you felt. You can connect with her that way."

"I can try, but at school, the groups we hang out with are polar opposites."

"I've heard. You're in The Populars, she's in The Non Populars, or The Nons. Well, as your mother, I'm telling you to break that line you created."

"Alright fine. I'll work on it."

🕛One month later🕛

🔑Lucy's P.O.V🔑

I haven't talked to anyone. My brother, my friends, my dad, Natsu. I've placed myself inside of a cocoon.

I was walking home from school one day, when I saw the ambulance in front of my house. No! Not him too! I thought as I ran over. Police, paramedics, and other government authorities were there.

"What's going on here?! Is my father OK?!" I said as I ran up to one of them.

"Oh no. You're his daughter, aren't you?" They asked.

"Yes?! Now what happened?!" I said as I was pushing past them to my front door.

"Wait! You're not gonna-" They started, but I had already opened the door. It was horrifying.

🔥Natsu's P.O.V🔥

"Mom! I'm done with my homework!" Wendy called out from the dining room. I was on the couch, watching a Netflix series that I had memorized inside and out.

"OK! Dinner will be done in ten minutes!" My mom called out. I stared at my phone, waiting for a call, or text from Lucy, but none came. My mom gave me her number, so, I used it.

"Hey Natsu! Can you go water the garden up front before dinner?!" My mom yelled.

"Yeah! Be right back!" I yelled back. I walked outside and turned on the hose. My dad loved to garden, so mom tried to keep this small piece of him alive. That's when I noticed someone walking sluggishly on the side walk, leaning against the fences.

"Is that you Lucy?" I said when they came close enough for me to see her face. Her head jolted up, and before I knew it, she was hugging me so tight.

"Why are parents so cruel?!" She yelled in my chest.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I looked at her tear stained face.

"Why do they have to leave you?! Why do they do it because they think it's best?! Why would my father go that far?" She said the last part to herself, but I still heard.

"What happened?" I asked, brushing her hair out of her wet face.

"MY FATHER LEFT ME! AND MY BROTHER'S ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD! MY DAD...My dad...daddy..." She cried to herself.

"Come on onside. You can tell me after we get you something to eat." I said. She silently nodded and walked inside with me.
