Natsu's POV

The bell rang that signalled lunch time. Usually, I wouldn't skip lunch if someone paid me a million jewels to, but today was one of the exception.

It was Luce's birthday.

We had planned to just sit outside with our friends, but knowing how popular she had become, it wasn't gonna happen.

You see, Luce has changed in the past year. She stopped wearing her hair in a ponytail, started wearing contact lenses, and suddenly she became miss popular queen.

She started hanging out with the popular kids, and ditched us 'nerds'.

So, hear I am, outside, trying to find a space to just..... relax.

I hear people yelling from the cafeteria.

"Where's Lucy?"

Ha. They don't know.

The thing is, when ever it's her birthday, she likes to hide. And the person who can find her gets a gift from her. Every year someone else finds her. Last year it was Gray. However, this year is gonna be my turn.

I run into the cafeteria, barge past all the people and stand on the table. I get curious looks from the others around me.

You see, they don't know about my secret weapon.
On the count of three.

"EVERYONE GIVE IT UP FOR AMERICAS FAVOURITE FIGHTING FRENCHMAN!!!!"

"LAFAYETTE!!!" I hear a voice shout.
"Found her!"
I get even more looks of curiosity as I see Luce coming from her hiding spot.

She jumps on the table next to me.
"Congrats Natsu. You've won this year."
"Yep. So, what gift do I get. Ice cream or s-"
I was cut of by something soft being placed on my lips. It was Luce's lips.

I slowly kiss back, and after a few seconds I feel her pulling away.

"I love you, Natsu. I always have."

"I love you too, Luce."

I pull her in for another kiss.
Once we finish, she looks at me with happiness in her eyes.

"I hoped you would remember that trick."
