No Voice - Sophie
---Lucy's POV ---
"How exactly did this happen?" I asked as I started over at Natsu, whom was pouting as he glared at Gray and Gajeel as they began to taught him.
"He read a spell that took away his voice and... yeah..." Cana explained briefly, taking a swig of her beer.
"He needs to be put on a leash." I sweat dropped and watched as he attempted to curse at his rivals, but when he opened his mouth, nothing came out.
"He can even groan..." Levy noted as Natsu sank down in his seat and slammed his forehead against the wooden table.
"Not even laugh?" I ask with disbelief looking back and forth from Cana and Levy.
"He doesn't even make a noise when he sneezes." MiraJane said from behind the counter, shaking her head.
"How is he going to make another one of those speeches about friendship?" Cana jokes. Unfortunately, he noticed and started stomping over to us angrily. But Cana only smirks. "He cant do anything."
Natsu tried to yell at her, but failed of course. So he cracked his knuckles as a threat. Cana just shrugged and turned away from him.
The cursed boy then looked at me and gestured at the drunk as if saying, do you believe this girl?
I giggle and pat his shoulder. "Dont worry, I'm sure Levy is finding a cure for you right now."
We both look over at the bluenette who was reading a book intently next to me.
"Right Levy-chan?"
I received no answer. Slowly, I took a peek of the title of the book to see that she was reading some fiction book about pirates, with some boy with a straw hat on the cover.
A tick mark appeared on Natsu's head as he noticed Freed didn't even acknowledge the problem, as he was busy trying to help Laxus pick a job frantically.
"Levy!" I snapped and she jumped, shutting the book with wide eyes. "You're supposed to be helping Natsu!"
Natsu nodded in support.
"O-Oh I'm sorry. We just all wanted him to be silent for once." She stuttered and avoided eye contact with guilt. "Sorry Natsu, I'll start tomorrow."
I looked over at him to see hurt in his eyes. But it soon turned to anger and he marched to the exit of the guild, pushing Gray out of his way, ignoring the ice mage's insults.
I looked at everyone who overheard the conversation and scoffed. "Some friends."
"Lucy-" Mira tried to speak but the master cut her off.
"Even though you think Natsu is annoying, brats, doesn't mean you should wait until tomorrow. He's your family, so I expect all of you to get to work and fix the curse on him, NOW." He ordered and went back to his saki.
I got up bitterly and walked out of the guild, slamming the doors behind me as I went to search for Natsu.
I expected them to care, like they did when I went invisible. Of course Natsu could get annoying but without his constant talking, I wouldnt even be here. And I'm sure there were a bunch of others back at the guild who weren't smart enough to realize the same about them.
As expected, I found Natsu face first on my bed. Once I entered, he rolled his head over to look at me, but looked away almost immediatly after.
"Hey..." I said, sitting down beside him. "They are working on it now, its alright."
Natsu got up and walked to my desk, picking up a pad of paper and a pencil, writing sloppy words down quickly, as he sat across from me. "They are ass-holes."
I smile sadly, "Yeah but I know that deep down they care. They're just rough on the outside."
"Even Happy thinks I'm annoying." He wrote.
"Well... I dont care if you're annoying. You're still my best friend so stop pouting." I pointed out, crossing my arms, "And they are all still your family. They are just being the ones annoying this time."
Natsu smiled and patted my head as a thank you.
I blush and pull his hand away. "Yeah yeah... Did you want to go back to the guild or-"
Natsu cut me off by putting his big hand over my mouth, while writing on the pad of paper.
"Im staying here, I dont want to see their vaces..."
"Natsu, faces is spelt with an F not a V." I corrected. He blushed lightly and fixed his mistake. I didn't really know how he messed that one up...
Natsu smiled sheepishly and looked around the room, not knowing what to do.
Usually with these kinds of spells, the victim has to do something of the opposite. But there was no way for him to do that since he couldn't even yell. Maybe there was some other way to make him loud...
Natsu interrupted my thought as he snapped his fingers in front of my face. I looked over to see him patting hiss stomach with pursed lips.
"You're hungry?" I asked.
He nodded.
"I might have something for you in the kitchen." I mutter, getting up from the bed to go to the other room.
He nodded again and watched as I left him alone to get his food.
I scavenged through the cupboards until I found a container of strawberries I was given on a job with Erza. She secretly wanted all the gifted fruit but I managed to split it up before she realized what she was doing.
I walked into the room to see Natsu staring at me intently. It nearly scared my socks off as he didn't even blink once.
"Um..." I wave my hand in front of his face and he snapped back into attention, though his eyes drifted from mine to the strawberries. He quickly looked back at me and pouted. "It's a healthy snack, don't look at me like that."
Natsu attempted to mutter something under his breath and stood up, flipping me over his shoulder and walking into the kitchen.
"Natsu!" I shriek, kicking my legs frantically.
He ignores me and makes me watch as he opened the refrigerator and pulled out a can of whip cream, and then returning us to my living room and placing me on a chair and pushing my chair in so that I was near the table. He did the same thing and placed the food in between us.
We just sat there for a moment, with him looking at me expectantly. I shook my head, signaling that I had no idea what he was trying to show me.
He gave me a look as if I were the idiot out of the two of us and took a strawberry in his hands, spraying the whip cream on top of it, and putting it to my lips. I reluctantly bit down and my eyes widened.
He smirked and got his message almost immediately. It was great, sweet and tart. It was a perfect combination.
Natsu dipped another in whip cream and plopped it in his mouth hungrily, even eating the leaves of the strawberry. What was I expecting? He was in no way gonna eat normally, the curse didn't do anything with that trait.
I ended up letting him have most of them, though he did feed me a few from time to time. And yes, he refused to let me feed myself because he thought he was the only one who could make the whip-cream-on-top-of-strawberries recipe. I let him think that as it made him happy.
"I think we should go back to the guild." I said suddenly, but she shook his head almost just as quick. "Natsu, You'll have to show your face someday."
He reached forward and grabbed my hand, putting it against his heart, and mouthing one word... Tomorrow.
"But-"
He bit his lip an gave me a pleading look.
"Okay fine. But if you say the same thing tomorrow, I'm gonna force you to the guild. Now time for bed." I say waving my hand and grabbing my pajamas.
Natsu nodded and watched as I entered the bathroom, closing the door behind me.
I took a deep breath before taking a shower and changing my clothes. Natsu made no noise outside, which was expected, but also was very uncomfortable.
When I stepped out, I see him already passed out on my bed.
I try to push him out but instead, to my surprise, he grabs me and pulls me under the covers.
I felt my cheeks warm up to rival a volcano, as he hugged me to his chest.
I was at loss of words, almost as silent as he was. But his warmth was already lulling me into a deep sleep. And then I was out.
---
The next morning, I woke up to the smell of something burning. And then I saw Natsu trying to eat the flames off the stove. Great.
I quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher and put out all the food he was attempting to make.
Luckily, the toast made it out okay and we settled with that for breakfast even though he was still hungry.
"We should head to the guild now." I say after I got changed into my usual attire. "I'm not sure if they found the cure yet or not."
Natsu frowned, and hesitated before nodding.
Together, we walked out of my apartment and toward the guild hall. My partner looked pretty nervous about facing everyone, but I also saw that same anger from before when Levy said that they didn't want to help him right away.
Once we opened the door, nobody was around. Did they quit on finding the cure?
Natsu tapped my shoulder and pointed to a book on the bar table. We hesitantly walked over and started to read the page it was flipped to.
"This has to be a joke." I breath, backing away. "This only happens in fairy tales!"
Natsu just continues reading.
"True loves kiss? But you don't love anyone."
He looks back at me and takes a step forward.
"Maybe the book says something else." I snap my fingers and started to walk back towards the said book to read further, but, Natsu stopped me before I could get there in time. "What are you doing?"
Before I could say anything else, he wrapped his arms around my waist and gently touched his lips to mine. The kiss was short, yet I felt like I had no breath.
"That worked." Natsu said, his voice a bit raspy from its lack of us.
"Y-you're... You're..." I stutter, holding onto my mouth.
"So I'm your true love." he smirked and cleared his throat, though it still sounded rough.
"No I'm your true love." I shriek before slapping my palm right back against my lips.
"I'VE GOT PROOF!!" Someone yelled from my right. Natsu and I turned to see MiraJane standing up in triumph as she held a camera in her hand.
I squeaked with embarrassment and hid in Natsu's chest, though I heard her snap another photo.
I looked up to see that Natsu still had anger in his onyx eyes, but he wrapped his arms around me anyway.
"Was this planned?" He asked bitterly.
"You reading the spell was completely your fault and we knew the answer to it from the beginning..." Levy smiled sheepishly.
"We just decided to make things interesting." Mira grinned evilly.
"It's pretty twisted now that I think about it." Gray sighed, crossing his arms.
"Damn right ice prick. I wasn't gonna come back here for a week." Natsu growled.
"A week?" I whispered. I didn't know he was going to hide at my place for that long.
"Your voice is all scratchy." Happy said out of no where, while flying over to the two of us.
"Your voice is high pitched." Natsu shot back.
"I wasn't in on this. I'll make sure to er... punish them." Master said as he walked out of his office. "Meanwhile, you two go out on a date or something."
"Huh?" I say, moving away from Natsu though he keeps holding onto me. "Date?"
"If its away from you guys, then im gonna do it." He huffs and drags me out of the guild... no one argued as they ll wanted us together anyway.
"Wh-where are we going?"
"To get strawberries and whip cream." He says, his raspy voice almost gone.
I smile and matched pace with him. "And...?"
"And prank everyone afterwards." He grinned and interlocked our fingers. "We are the power couple now, right."
I blush and nod. "Of course. I think I might have some pranks in mind too."
He chuckled, and we both, as a couple, ran off to get the supplies.

Yeah that was bad. I had no idea how to end it. But I hope it was enough for your NaLu needs!
