--- Lucy's Pov ---

Death. It's not so bad. of course it hurts that I left the other Natsu and Lucy, but it wasn't like I was going to survive anyway. And now I had my Natsu, and my guild... and my right hand again.

"I don't think I'll ever get used to this." I said, when I first came into the golden fields, "It's like a dream, it can't be real."

"That's fine," Natsu had said, "I felt the same way. It was hard to take in I was defeated by a dragon."

I also found that surprising, considering he was a dragon slayer.

But now, in the so called present, Natsu and I sat alone in a little hut made of stone and wood. Up here in the golden fields, we can have what ever we want, as long as it keeps the scenery beautiful and natural. So I wish for a nice cottage and here it is.

Natsu had one not too far away, in which he shared with Happy. But lately he's been sneaking into my place, just like old times.

And once someone starts abandoning a wish, it slowly disappears... so now his home has vanished, as if it were never there.

"Natsu..." I pout, sitting across from him, outside my home. "You aren't gonna wish for another?"

He shook his head and crossed his arms, "It's boring living on my own... happy goes off with Carla anyway."

"How about Gildarts?"

"I'm not living with that pervert. You're my best friend, so I'll live with you." He answered with a proud look on his face.

We sat in silence until I finally agreed. "Fine. But no sneaking into my bed."

"But-"

"No buts'"

Natsu sighed and got up from the golden grass. "Lets explore."

"We did that already."

"Then let's go the other way."

"We did that also."

Natsu went on listing a bunch of ideas, but everything he said, we've already done.

"Then let's wish up a bunch of shit." he groaned and collapsed next to me. "Oh wait," he mocked, "We did that already."

I smile sadly and rest my hand on top of his rosy pink hair. "I have an idea."

"What?" He grumbled, with his voice muffled by the ground.

"I found something." I grin, catching his attention. "It looks like a tunnel."

"A tunnel?" He repeated, bolting upwards onto his feet, offering a hand "Lets explore!"

"It might be dangerous." I warned.

"We are already dead, aren't we?"

My breathing hitches as I was reminded of that fact. But, hesitantly, I stand up, taking his hand in mine... and he interlocks his fingers.

"It doesn't matter anymore alright? We'll be fine no matter what." he smiles softly, "besides, im right here, okay?"

I nod and return his smile.

Together, we walk hand in hand as I lead him in a certain direction and we did in fact, reach a tunnel.

It went straight into the ground, with a spiral staircase that served as our transport downwards.

"Let's jump down." Natsu said with a smirk as he let go of my hand.

"Wh-what?!"

"It's not gonna hurt." he pressed on, "let's jump!"

"You're an idiot."

Natsu laughed and grabbed my arm, pulling me closer to the hole with him. "C'mon."

"S-stop!" I struggle, trying to get away, but it was to late. He jumped forward causing me to fall in after him. "NATSU!!"

Natsu laughed as we fell downwards, our limps spread out like we were stars. "ITS FUUUUN!!!" He yelled over the wind and held both of my hands in his, bringing me closer to his body.

Then he gave that oh so famous grin, that I loved so much. I would die for it... at least, I will die again.

Natsu wrapped his arms around my waist, making us fall upright, like we were standing on air. It made me blush of course but it was better than body slamming into hard ground.

"HOW LOOONG?!" Natsu yelled.

"WHAT?!"

"HOW LONG?!" He screams again.

"I THINK I SEE THE GROUND!" I respond, gripping onto him. "MY LEGS BETTER NOT BREAK, IDIOT!!"

He snickered before we finally made impact, and was surprised to see that we hit a soft surface that looked like stone but felt as soft as a pile of pillows... kind of like clouds.

Natsu and I laid side by side, no longer holding onto each other. After a shocked filled minute, he burst out laughing and covered his face. "Wow."

As he continued, I roll my head to the other side, on my left, to see another tunnel. "Natsu." I sit up and shake his arm. "come on."

Natsu looked at me and then to the tunnel, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "There's more!" He beamed.

With a bit of trouble, we got off the squishy surface.

Since we came to the golden fields, I tended to grab my right hand when I needed comfort. But now... Natsu's hand had slipped into mine. So I squeezed it, and he squeezed back, showing he was right there next to me.

"There." I pointed with my free hand down the hall to a bright light, "I see something."

"It looks like a... Camera? A bunch of cameras?" Natsu noted and dragged me inside to get a better look at the objects.

"Not cameras... they're.... projectors"

"Huh? There's no power source..." he added, making me somewhat surprised he observed something like that.

I opened my mouth to say something but was cut off when the projectors turned on all on their own, changing our scenery somehow.

We were in a town... looking at ourselves? But they weren't us, they looked different. The other version of me had long hair in a side pony tail, while Natsu had a bandage covering most of his right arm.

Natsu called out to them but they didn't notice us. "I think..." he started but I finished for him, "That's the present us... the ones who are alive."

"Wendy..." Natsu softly, pointing to the blue haired girl... "She has Lamia Scale's emblem..."

I haven't seen you two since the disbandment, Said Wendy.

Natsu and I both choked on air as me realized what she meant. Fairy Tail had broken up... by why do Natsu and Lucy both have the fairy tail emblem still?

The alive Natsu immediately answered that question by saying, we're getting everyone back together.

Natsu and I followed our other versions the whole day, watching how much we had grown. But sadly, the projection shut down once Natsu and Lucy went to sleep.

We stood there for a moment, holding onto our marks, until Natsu turned and pulled me into a bone crushing hug. "I can't believe it." he muttered, burying his head into the crook of my neck.

"I'm sure the other us will succeed. Wendy will agree eventually." I reassure him, wrapping my arms around his waist. "It looks like she was our first stop."

"Let's come back whenever we can, okay?" He offered, breaking away to look at me. I nodded reluctantly and he gave a sad smile as he pressed his forehead against mine.

I couldn't help but giggle at how gentle he was being.

"What?" He asked, cracking a grin.

"You're being so kind and soft. I'm not used to it." I snort and giggle some more, making him join in to the laughter because of the odd noise I made.

This went on for awhile but the laughing slowly turned into something else... kissing.

It was warm... and soft, and it was my first kiss, but it didn't feel like a normal one, possibly because we weren't really alive? But it made me feel that way.

His hand made its way to my jaw, his index finger grazing my ear.

After a long moment, we broke apart, much to my dismay. But then he gave that smile again and my heart nearly melted into a pool of lava.

"Tomorrow." He said, "If this is going to happen again, I'm definitely coming back."
