---Natsu's POV---

"What?" I growled at my enemy, stepping forward in front of Lucy protectively.

"Oh you didn't hear me?" He cackled and tapped his long, bony fingers against his cheek.

"The hell I need to know anything. All I heard was that you were gonna take Fairy tail. I won't let you hurt them!" I yelled but he didn't flinch, even the slightest.

"Ohh its alright. I'll start off easy..." The man peered over my shoulder at Lucy and grinned. "I'll start off low and work myself up from there." {A/N: I don't think Lucy is weak FYI. -Jason}

It took me a moment before my eyes widened in sudden realization. In a matter of seconds there was a ear piercing scream... From Lucy.

I turned around quickly to see her in the middle of dark pillar of shadows that looked as if they were shifting around her, as little ghosts taunting her as she shrieked at the top of her lungs. Her hands were closed around her ears and her eyes were wide, and shaking with fear.

"LUCY!!!" I yell and try to get inside to her but it was as if the shadows were solid.

"You can't get to her, boy." The villain said and I turned to him with bloodshot eyes.

"Let her go." I grit my teeth, saying the three words very clear and separate.

He shook his head and gave a sly grin, showing off his rotten teeth. "Sorry Lad. I can't allow that."

I guess he wasn't really thinking that I would attack. I'm not afraid to fight back, especially if he took something so dear to me.

So I easily got a hit, knocking him off his feet. the pillar around Lucy flickered but went back to normal when the man stood up.

I get it...

I lunged at him again as he wasn't looking and knocked him back to the ground with an Fire Dragon's Iron Fist.

"If you don't give her back willingly, I'll knock it outta you!" I threatened and punched him until he was completely out... not dead, but close to it.

The pillar disappeared but Lucy kept screaming. Without hesitation I ran over to her and wrapped my arms around her. "Lucy, Lucy it's ok now."

She stopped screaming, but then started crying into my chest, holding onto me tightly. "I-It was... Dark and... cold... It was h-horrible..." she sobbed, which pained my heart.

"It's ok. it's over." i comforted and rubbed her head.

A sudden breeze surrounded us, making our clothes fly around in the wind. Lucy flinched and gripped the back of my shirt.

"I'm here." I whispered and kissed the top of her head, leaving my lips pressed up against her blonde hair.

Lucy looked up at me, with tears at the brims of her eyes.

"And I will never leave your side." I say, blushing slightly after that.

I helped my partner get to her feet, and just realized we were holding hands. But what was strange was that she never pulled away, like I knew she would in the past.

Slowly, I smiled down at her and brought her closer to me. "lets get back to the guild." I say, picking her up.

She blushed and looked at me questionably when I helped her on my back. "Natsu-"

"You were just blasted with very strong magic. I ain't gonna let you walk." I snapped stubbornly. Reluctantly, she held on.

I supported her by holding her up by her thighs. Slowly, my cheeks began to heat up uncontrollably at the touch of her warm skin.

Don't think dirty thoughts, Don't think dirty thoughts, Natsu.

On the way back to the guild I felt light headed. Lucy's boobs pressed against my neck wasn't helping anything.

Whenever I was on the verge of passing out, Lucy would yelp when I make a slight mis footing but I'd just calm her down by standing straight and saying, "I'm here, I'm ok. You're ok."

Together, we made our way to Fairy Tail. We both looked pretty banged up from our fight with the man... whom I forgot all about. He's probably looking for us right now...

Mira hurried over and went to help Lucy to the infirmary but I waved her off and set off on my own. I guess Wendy noticed her condition and also rushed over to help heal our injuries.

"Everyone is watching, Idiot." Lucy muttered into my ear. I just gave a shrug, showing I didn't really care.

Once Wendy was done healing the both of us, she left the room. The two of us volunteered to bandage ourselves. So lucy bandaged me, and I poorly bandaged her. Though she redid it anyway.

"Thank you, Natsu." She smiled and took my hand.

"Team mates look out for one another." I grinned and intertwined our fingers. "besides, seeing you like that was creepy."

Lucy looked at me for a moment before slapping my upside the head. "You Dumb ass!!" She yelled and I laughed as she began chasing me out of the guild.

Originally that was going to have a dramatic ending but I got Lazy and I just watched 21 jump street so yeah, I'm in more of a comical mood XD
