"What I want to be able to do one day I'd be up in first class..." Natsu said as he sat down in his seat, beside he friend, Lucy Heartfilia, whom was too busy reading a book to even listen. "Want to know why? I'll tell you why. Because then I have an excuse to give dirty, judgmental looks at strangers... Since they always do that to me... When I only need to take a piss."

Lucy managed a giggle and looked up at the pinkette. "Well I wouldn't hate being up there either. I mean... My legs are killing me. Next time I need to bring knee pads because the backs of these seats are so not legal."

Natsu chuckled and leaned his chair backwards, despite the upset whine of the man behind him.

After a few seconds, the plane hit some turbulence, which made the pinkette clasp a hand over his mouth. Lucy glanced over at him with a small giggle. "Can't handle a little turbulence?" She snorted.

Natsu opened his mouth to retort back, but the plane suddenly began to shudder some more. Everyone else on board the plane gave out confused mumblings and freaked out yelps when the lights flickered out.

"Everyone stay calm." The pilot spoke over the noise. As the plane continued to shake, Natsu reached over and grabbed Lucy's hand reassuringly.

Suddenly, the plane began to loose altitude as it fell down to the ocean. Lucy was frozen in fear as she slowly watched the clouds outside her window flash past her. "Natsu..." She whispered shakily, gripping his hand.

Natsu looked at her helplessly before studying his surroundings. Quickly, he got out of his seat and slowly stumbled over to where the flight attendant had showed everyone the emergency landing gear, grabbing two life jackets and a palm sized box that she had mentioned was a boat.

"Everyone!" He hesitantly called out, struggling to keep his balance. "You're all going to be fine. Just... Stay calm, grab a life jacket... And stay in your seats."

Everyone gave him panicked looks, though he kept his eyes on Lucy.

"We are all going to be fine..."

After a couple seconds, a couple people got up to get their supplies before returning to their families, friends... And strangers.

Natsu sat back down beside Lucy and gave her hand a squeeze. After a moment of silence, he wrapped his arms around her in a tight embrace, right as the plane shuddered once more and plummeted into the ocean.

Lucy and Natsu gasped for air as they escaped from the wreckage of the plane. Unfortunately, only a few people actually survived... Or really only four.

Quickly, Natsu and another man opened their rafts which immediately filled with air. And, soaking wet, we crawled into them, breathing heavily.

"Everyone okay?" Natsu wheezed, trying to make himself comfortable on the small thing, feeling a little bit seasick.

"Yeah." The other two said. One was a woman with red hair and the other was a man with blue hair and a red tattoo around his eye.

Lucy nodded, refusing to look back as the water was stained red around the metal. There were body parts popping up at the plane's sides.

Natsu noticed the horrifying sight and quickly looked away. "Here." He breathed, tying a piece of rope to his raft, tossing it the to the lady on the other one. "It's best if we don't drift apart. I'm Natsu by the way. This is Lucy."

"Erza.." The redhead said with a steady voice. "This is my husband, Jellal."

---

"There's land." Jellal said after a couple moments of silence. "I can sorta see it in the horizon. We're lucky."

Lucy looked down at her leg. She had cut it pretty bad off a piece of scrap metal from the plane. "We don't have any paddles. But if we wait just a little while, we should be pulled to shore."

Natsu noticed the blood running down her leg and frowned. With a sigh, he pulled off his shirt and ripped off a bit of cloth to wrap it around her wound. "I guess I'll have to try and find something better. But for now this'll do." He said softly, earning a smile from the blonde.

Erza watched the two with a hopeful sparkle in her eyes before looking towards the land. She and her husband were only on their way to their honeymoon. Of course she was happy they both survived but... She had trouble keeping a positive attitude.

Jellal only sighed as he saw the sun starting to go down before looking down at his wedding ring. He was so glad that it stayed on his finger this whole time.

Lucy looked over at the couple as they made themselves comfortable on the small raft and laying down beside one another. Natsu had been busy trying to clean up the blood that was left from her wound, trying not to get the salt water in the gash. The blonde reached over and brushed the pink hair out of the boy's face so that he could see better. "We should try to get some sleep..." She whispered.

Natsu looked back up at her, sliding his hands down to her ankle, and then let go to sit up straight. "How are we going to rest? This thing is really small..."

Lucy blushed lightly and nodded over to Erza and Jellal whom were laying on their sides, rather close to one another. "That's the only comfortable position."

The pinkette was silent for a moment before smiling softly and pulling her down, copying the other couple in their positions. Lucy yelped and turned bright red as Natsu hugged her close to his chest. And although she felt a little awkward and nervous, she found the feeling comforting and fell asleep in a matter of seconds.

---

Its been what they thought was five months stranded on an island. Luckily for them, it was rich with food and a spring located in the forest supplied them with fresh water. Once or twice someone would get ill, and it took forever for the others to find something to ease their sickness. But they somehow managed for almost half a year.

Natsu and Erza had decided that every other day they would go out and track the land, in hopes they would find some civilization. Erza even made a map so they wouldn't repeat their footsteps.

And every night, Natsu would sneak his way into Lucy's sleeping area to rest beside her, hating the feeling of being alone without something to hold onto and remind him he is still human.

"Natsu..." Lucy said one night, cracking her eyes open to look at the boy, right as he got comfortable. He flinched and looked at her brown eyes hesitantly. "Natsu... Do you think we'll ever get off this island?"

He blinked, not expecting her to say that. Honestly, he thought she was going to scold him for sleeping with her. "Of course we will."

Lucy sighed and looked away from him. "I guess you have no choice but to say that..."

Natsu frowned for a second before giving a reassuring smile. "Chin up. I know for sure we'll be fine. We're a team, we look out for one another." He grasped her hand and brought it up to his lips. "Am I know we'll get off this island together."

Lucy blushed and looked at her hand, managing a smile before hiding her face on his chest. "Yeah... We're the best team ever."

Erza tapped Jellal's shoulder frantically the next morning as she spotted something in the misty horizons. "Wake up!" She yelled and jumped off her spot on her rock. "A boat! Make a fire! Show them we're here!"

Jellal flinched out of his sleep and hesitantly stumbled over to Natsu and Lucy, shaking them awake. "Code S.O.S. Guys."

Natsu took a moment to process what was happening before hurrying to set a fire. The blonde who was laying beside him moments earlier quickly grabbed a broken part of a mirror and flashing it at the boat from the Sun's rays.

"Heyyyy!!!!!" Erza and Jellal yelled, jumping up down and waving their arms around.

After a moment, the boat honked and began to turn towards them.

Lucy's heart fluttered around in her chest from the immense joy she felt, watching as Jellal laughed and spun his wife around in his arms. Finally they could be a real couple again.

Natsu cheered and took both of Lucy's hands, pulling her close as they jumped around the fire he made. "We're going home, Luce. Didn't I tell you? We're going h—"

Natsu paused as he felt a soft sensation on his lips... And he enjoyed it. With a loving smile he returned the action towards the girl in his arms. "Home..." He finished, gazing at her until the boat came to their little island.
