"I hate you.. I hate you so much.." Lucy let out a gasp as her sobs filled the room. She sat on her bed and covered her face with her hands.

Natsu looked down at the floor in guilt, his fist tightening with every sob.

"Listen.." he spoke as he bit his lip.

He sighed and took few steps towards her. He bent his knees and crouched down in front of her.

His hands found a way to her hands as he gently disconnected them from her face. She slowly opened her watery eyes to see the compassion in his.

"Lucy.. I'm so sorry for what I did.. I should've never done that." He apologized sincerely.

"I guess it's okay.." she smiled.

There was a small pause between them before he stood up and sat next to her. His palm went around her body and caressed her waist.

"I swear it won't happen again." He spoke as he put her hand on his heart.

"You know.. sometimes my heart beats shallow, and sometimes it beats so strong I think my chest will burst, but it always beats for you." He said softly.

"It's like, the two for me go together, ba boom, I love you, ba boom, I love you."

"I know your heart beats for me too, beats for our child, as does my own. I wish it to beat as long as yours does, no more, no less." They both smiled at each other as he rubbed her, now, big belly.

"To me, that makes perfect sense. For me, it is you that makes my world warm. No matter the weather outside, you are my source of warmth, y'know.."

"I know.. i'm sorry for how I acted.. it's just-" he cut her off.

"I know, sweetie.. don't worry about it." he finished on her behalf as she laid her head on his shoulder, both of them enjoying the silence with their fingers collided.

"You've grown so much.." she said bluntly, staring in front of her.

"How so?"

"You're not that immature and oblivious boy I once met in Hargeon anymore. You've changed.. There's that part that disguises the greatest pain we can ever know. To take account of your actions is growth; to protect others instead of being selfish is growth; to react to a disaster with calm thought and decisive leadership is growth." She glanced at him with adoration in her eyes.

He responded to her words by placing a soft kiss on the top of her head.

"I love you, I can't wait for Nashi to be born and be raised by such a beautiful mother.."
