The People Behind The Game
In the castle, where King Zeref and Queen Mavis sat upon their thrones.
"Fairy Tail has lost two of their own by the hands of your brother. You're aware of this, correct?" Mavis said, turning to face Zeref.
"I'm aware that my brother has been awoken. But he hasn't been fully released from the books imprisonment obviously." Zeref said.
"You think he'll live up to the prophecy as one of my own has? To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be Lucy Heartfilia until just recently. She fits the prophecy perfectly. It's all up to your brother to complete it as well."
"He's getting there. The book has already dropped it's barrier once because he met up to the standards. But that was only once, and not good enough."
"You can at least give him some credit. You said that he'd never be able to learn, yet he's learning ever so slowly." Mavis smirked.
"You're right. Now, should we put Jude Heartfilia into play?" Zeref said, raising a map of their whole country with tiny figures of people on them.
"Yes, we should, and be sure to take away your brother's sense of smell for this one. And limit his strength, but not by so much that he can't protect Lucy. Let's see if this does anything to him. You have the emergency plan ready in case this goes wrong, correct?" Mavis said sternly.
"Yes, yes I do. Now, time to set Mr. Heartfilia into course of his long lost daughter." Zeref said, turning one of the piece that looked like Mr. Heartfilia, to face two other pieces, which were Lucy and a book.

Lucy and Natsu were walking in the forest, sure that nothing was following them.
"Should we take a break? I'm getting tired." Lucy said, leaning against a tree.
"I guess that will be fine. We can stop here for now."
They both sat down and sighed out a long breath.
"I'm getting so annoyed. I hate all of this running away." Lucy complained.
"The maybe you should come back home."
Natsu and Lucy immediately stood up and looked over some bushes, seeing Jude Heartfilia walking up to them, alone.
"What?! Natsu, why didn't you tell me he was coming?!" Lucy shouted.
"I couldn't smell him coming! He's giving off no sense of smell! I can't smell anything in fact!" Natsu panicked.
"Well then, take him out so we can run!" She shouted once more. Natsu began to light a fire in his fist, but it went out before it was fully complete.
"My magic isn't working! What's going on?!" Natsu yelled, trying again and again.
"Lucy, let's go before I take you by force." Jude said, walking up closer.
"Just run!" Natsu yelled, picking up Lucy and running.

But Lucy dropped the book, making Natsu get trapped behind the barrier.
"Looks like I now have your precious Demon Book. And if you want it back, you'll listen to me." Jude said, holding the book closed in his arms.
.
.
"Did the plan work?" Mavis asked back at the castle.
"It worked perfectly." Zeref said with a smile plastered on his face.
"Will your book allow your plan to proceed as is?"
"If everything works accordingly, the book will open, for as long as Natsu allows it to. The moment he forgets his goal, he'll be taken back to the books barrier until he sticks to his goal. It's all up to him weather he breaks the books prophecy or not."
With that, Zeref and Mavis sat and waited for the outcome of their plan.
