Chapter 8 ~ Natsu's Past
(Lucy's P.O.V)
I wake up in an unfamiliar room. It's still dark outside and the light from the moon shines through the window. I look around at my surroundings and see that I'm in a small cabin with a kitchen across from the bed and a small living room on the side of it. A small TV is placed on a table, with one couch and two comfy chairs.
This must be one of the staff's cabin. It's definitely an upgrade from ours. I hear footsteps and the bathroom door opens.
"Lucy." Natsu looks at me, worry in his face. "Your awake." His eyes are bloodshot with tiredness and his shoulders are drooped. Although he looks really tired and worn out, his hair still stays in it's cute spiky way. Has he slept at all? What time is it anyway?
"Hey." I say, trying not to let my voice break and meet his eyes, once I remember the past events. "A-am I in your c-cabin?"
"Yes, I took you hear after I taught that filthy bastard a lesson." His voice is low, but full of anger. Although he looks angry, his eyes are full of sadness and worry. I never knew he could seem that way. He always seemed so tall and full of strength. But now I can see his weakness. Did I really mean that much to him to make him worry? No, he probably would have acted if any of his friends or any of the campers got hurt. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm alright." I try to stand up, but then my head begins to hurt. I yelp and lay down, hoping it will help.
"Stay still, you must have hit your head when you fell." Natsu stands up. "I'll go get a wash cloth and an Advil for you to take." He walks into the bathroom and two minutes later comes out with a white wash cloth and a pill. After filling water in a glass, Natsu places the cloth on my forehead and hands me the glass. "Here, drink some water, it will also help."
"T-thank you." I sit up and try to ignore the pain while taking the pill and drinking the water. The cold freshness of it helps me a little and I sigh, feeling the throbbing in my head go down a bit. I feel Natsu's gaze at me and try to not look at him. "What time is it?" I finally say, knowing it's still night.
"It's around three in the morning." Natsu sits down beside me and sighs while rubbing his head. "I couldn't sleep until I knew you were fully ok."
"Why though?" I question, still trying to look away. I can't face him, not after what happened between us. "Why did you bring me here instead of taking me back to my cabin?"
"I didn't want anyone to see and I wanted to keep a close eye on you, Lucy." He says, I can tell he's looking at me.
"But why? You made it clear that you weren't interested. So why did you care?" I yell harshly and turn to him. I'm so annoyed at him for making me feel this way.
"But I do care about you Lucy!" His voice is full of pain. "But us being together, is too risky! And it's just not because I'm your coach." He takes a strand of my hair. "Your so innocent and sweet. I'm not good for you, and I'm scared of hurting you because of my past and history." He says bitterly. "And because of that I should stay away from you."
I grab his hands. "Then tell me! Let me choose instead of you choosing for me." I look into his eyes, very intently. "You can trust me, Natsu."
He hesitates for a moment and then sighs, taking a huge breath before starting. "I became an orphan when I was five years old. My parents died in a car crash, during a horrible storm. I was in the car, but for some miracle I survived." He says sadly. "I was in a coma for three months in the hospital. My grandparents refused to take me in, because they hated my father and couldn't bare looking at me after my mother died. So for eight years, I went through foster homes and in order to survive, I stole." He smiles a bit. "But a few days after my thirteenth birthday, Igneel and Grandeeny Dragneel, took me in and raised me from then on. They had a daughter, who was seven years younger than me. From then she became my little sister." I listen to his story, feeling sad about what he had gone through.
"They were so kind. I finally found a home and parents to call mine. My little sister..." he smiles while thinking about her. "Wendy is her name, she's sweet and kind. Funny and silly." I smile, while I hear him describe her. I can tell she means the world to him. "When I became a soccer player, it changed my life in such a good way." He plays with a strand of my hair. "But still, I was the same bad kid even when I had a happy home."
"Natsu, you experienced something traumatic at a young age." I put my hand on his shoulder. "But that doesn't mean, your bad for me."
"But that's not it, Lucy!" He whispers loudly. "Although my life was better, I was still struggling and even had a dark moment where I stole and was part of gangs!" He looks at me pleadingly. "I was in juvy for three years because of it! I'm not good for you, don't you see?"
I place a kiss on his cheek. "No I don't see, that doesn't stop me from wanting to be with you." I place a hand his shoulder. "Please don't push me away."
His shoulders slump. "Alright, but still I..." He looks so exhausted. "We'll talk more about it in the morning. For now, let's sleep."
"Alright." I say and lay down, with him beside me. In the next few minutes, I drift off to sleep.

(Natsu's P.O.V)
The next morning, I wake up to see Lucy beside me. I know she doesn't care about who I am or my past, but still I can't be with her. But then again, I want to, so badly. I look at her and admire how beautiful she is when she's asleep. Her lips part slightly, making me long to kiss her again.
"Mmm..." She mumbles and wakes up, while opening her eyes. Her eyes look up at the ceiling and then linger to me. "Morning." She sits up and stretches while yawing. "What time is it?"
I look at my watch. "It's 10:00 am."
Lucy gasps. "Oh no! My friends must be worried! I should head back." She stands up.
"Wait, let me just make you breakfast." I smile. "Why don't you get ready and I'll cook something for us."
"Ok, thanks Natsu." She smiles and walks into the bathroom, shutting the door behind us. I walk to the kitchen, take out a pan and some eggs. Once I'm almost done cooking, she walks out of the bathroom.
"It smells amazing." She sits down at the table. "Thank you, Natsu." I smile at her in response and we begin to eat.
"That was wonderful." She sighs at the taste. "Much more better than the cafeteria food."
"I'm glad you like it, Luce." I grin widely as I watch her blush at my new nickname for her.
"I-I s-should get going." She stutters and stands up. "Thanks for everything, Natsu." When I see her walk to the door, I instantly react, not wanting her to leave.
"Wait!" I say and grab her waist, spin her around, making her face me.
"Natsu?"
"I'm sorry, Luce. I can't hold back." I take her face in both my hands and smack my lips to hers, knowing I can't go back now.
Her eyes widen at my sudden move and I can tell she's thinking and struggling with what to do. I was a bit bold, but I couldn't hold back, I needed her, more than anyone knows. The attraction I held all week, needed to be seen. I was malling it over breakfast and decided to go for it. She has feelings for me too, so if we can go through it together, we will make it through anything. No matter how wrong it is, kissing and being with her feels so right.
Finally, she decides to accept and kisses me back with as much passion. I pull her closer to me and our bodies closely touch. Her breasts are pushed against my chest and I love how it feels, just like it did at the party. I want her even closer, so close that we can never let go.
After a few minutes of what felt like eternity, I stop the kiss and look at her. Her eyes are glazed over and her face is flushed red.
"W-why d-did you d-do th-that?" She stutters, confused as ever.
"I can't stay away from you any longer." Was my response.
