Celestia's Tale of The Four Year Eclipse Part 4: The Final Battle
"Heh heh heh, boss has been expecting you." One of them snarled out. Nala ignored them and kept moving forward, her friends at her heels doing exactly as she instructed. Zayzu struggled a bit to stay silent but a quick intense death glare from Suziet helped keep his mouth shut. She was the master of willpower, capable of instantly forcing her own will over anyone who maintained eye contact with her. It was very useful for combat, and for keeping Zayzu under control. Only Nala is able to withstand her gaze but not without effort.
They made it through, entertaining Rau's arena, and there he was, sitting on his throne under the blood red sky. Surrounded by an army of his followers. Nala told her friends to stay back. This was her fight to finish. Rau gazed down at her and laughed maniacally. "Well, now look what we have here." He grinned, his words were cold and laced with mockery. "You finally decided to show your face to me again. The great light spirit and oh.... what's this? I see you brought a few friends with you this time. Funny, I never pegged you as being the social type. Have you fallen so low that you need others to stand on..?? Heh heh.. how pathetic. "The shadowy figures haunting the air around them began to chuckle. "Leave them out of this Rau." Nala barked lowly. "This is between us alone. I'm going to give you one final chance. Move the moon away from the sun and return my power to me. We can still walk away from this without any bloodshed." He laughed evermore. "Yeah, no. Do you honestly think that you could just come into my territory and intimidate me into giving this all up. I've been around you long enough to know that you could never bring yourself to harm a living creature. Not even me. So why don't you just give it a rest with the bluffing." Nala's eyes narrowed, "I can assure you I'm not." She stated strictly. "Oh really?" By then he had gone down from his throne and was now standing face-to-face with Nala. "Prove it then." He leaned in closer. Their noses just inches away from each other. "Hit me. I dare you." His head tilted to the side. "Come on, hit me, everyone's watching." He teased, before pulling his ears back and growling out. "Just. Do it." Nala didn't move. She was a statue, death glaring him. He grinned. "See, I knew you didn't have it in y-" His words were cut short as Nala scratched him hard across the left side of his face. Leaving behind two red claw marks just below his eye.
The crowd gasped, then fell silent. Even Nala's friends were standing there with their mouths agape. Rau recoiled blinking rapidly. He touched the scratch with his paw, then looked down at the blood smudged on it. His eyes narrowed, and with a loud growl he bared his teeth and became engulfed with rage. "Fine. If it's a fight you want then so be it." He pounced, and the two began violently biting, clawing, and tackling each other. Their bodies were soon caked in the blood of their wounds. Despite his overwhelming strength, Nala managed to hold her own for a while. She pinned Rau down and bit viciously at his neck. He kicked her hard in the stomach and she sprung back into a nearby wall. It was a hard hit, and she almost lost consciousness from the force of the impact. Rau got up and snarled, "Is that seriously all you've got? You really are pathetic. Killing you is such a wasted effort." He turned. "I'm done with this nonsense. Enjoy spending the rest of eternity in darkness, you worthless mutt." He spread his wings and started to fly away.
Nala's anger burned fiercer inside her then ever before, and in that moment, she finally had enough. She leaped up off the ground and threw herself on Rau's back. His flying grew frantic as he tried to shake her. Pushing and shoving all the while. Nala refused to let go and Rau was too distracted by her struggling to notice the cliff side they were rapidly approaching. He crashed into it head first at high speed and they both fell to the ground. Landing with another hard crash that finally separated them. Nala was more than dazed but she got up and stumbled over to Rau as he attempted to collect himself. She grabbed him by his neck and slammed him against the wall; glaring at him with an intense look in her eyes, teeth bared, and ears folded back.
