You were getting your shoes on as your mom knocked on the wall. "Hey mom! Come in!" You said as you pulled the laces tight. "(Y/n), can you please do me a favor?" Your mom asked with her tail low. "Of course." You replied as you stood up.

"If you ever move out, please take Abigail with you..."

You looked at your mom and frowned. Your mom had been depressed for years after your father became a millionaire. You only saw him on the holidays and on your or Abigail's birthday. You hugged your mom as she started to cry.

"I promise mom." You reassured before your mother pulled away and held your paws in hers. She gave you a sad smile before leaving your room. You sighed and got your bag filled with new school supplies. Abigail then came in. "Are you ready?" Abigail asked.

"Yeah. Are you?" You asked as you ruffled your sister's soft fur. "I don't know... is it normal to feel sick?" Abigail asked. You chuckled and booped her nose. "You'll be fine! You'll get a grade scholarship in no time!" You said as you both started towards the door.

You looked back quickly.

You frowned at your mother hopelessly watching TV. "Let's go Ab." You said as you both headed out the door. Abigail saw your ears were down as your tail swayed slowly. "Is mom going to be ok?" Abigail asked as she held your paw.

"I don't know. I'm sure she'll be ok though." You replied before you ruffled her fur again. Abigail smiled as you both rounded a corner and saw the school. You took in a breath as Abigail nervously shuffled.

"You ready sis?"

"Ready as I'll ever be..."
