Do you know what is worse than shipping uncanon?

SHIPPING PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT UNIVERSIES.

So in this part of my Appreciation I will talk about my first ship which up to this day is one of the most important parts of mine.I still read fics about it from time to time,I write my own,I watch videos and edits and well...you get the idea.

I'm talking about the ship that has such a large fanbase,it's concerning.

Aka the Winter Spirit also known as Jack Frost from Dreamworks' Rise of the Guardians and the book Guardians of Childhood and Elsa from Disney's Frozen.

Together they make Jelsa <3

I really want to point out that I don't have many reasons why you should ship them because...well...they have never met.

But I'll do my best!

The usual first thought of many is...

They could be related.

Hahahahaha no.

I mean yes.

For starters,the entire opposites attract is somewhat unrealistic.Two completly different beings could never work out.

(By the way I'm only using the word beings because I'm also reffering to fictional characters.I do not in any way imply that-as a friend pointed out-that e.g a human and a dog would never work out.Nor am I now suggesting that they would.In conclusion;Love animals and objects in a friendly way and please avoid bestiality)

Back to what I was saying.

We have these two who share some traits;

-Love without limits for their siblings.

Here I would like to add that no,not all siblings love each other and I have many examples.Secondly,please do not alter my words and think that you should ship Elsanna.

That's DIRECT incest and I'm strongly against it.Despite a common custom of other times when royals married/did the frickle frackle with other family members.Even then,however,the spouses never were direct family members such as siblings or parents.This is just disgusting.

OKAY EXCUSE YOU BUT THAT'S ONE OF THE FIRST REASONS WHY PEOPLE SHIP THIS.

Of course no one support Jelsa due to their magic but it would be a lie to say that people-including me-haven't thought of it.This is the common "they are the same so they can understand each other better than anyone" way of thinking.

To completly ignore this trope would be illogical.

Then again,if you think of other canon ships,you'll realise that it is some shared abilities that bring them together.

E.g Percabeth,Hinny,Everlark,Fourtris and*cringes*Trenda

-The entire fear thingy

(Why do I keep using the word thingy?I blame Class for this)

Frozen deals with Elsa's fear.

RotG literally has Jack fighting fear himself.

Just throwing facts there!You got two people who are sometimes scared of what they create,of what they can do and in fact of their entire selves.This is personally one of my favourite reasons on why shipping Jelsa.

For who can understand you better than someone who feels the same?

Personally I think it's the cutest ship-and Buzzfeed agrees-and if you still aren't convinced that it's worth it,I can even think of more reasons.

Surely enough,due to the lack of scenes they have together(which are none)it isn't exactly OTP material...

If I was to describe Jelsa in a song then my first choice would be

Find a way-Working with lemons

Which is literally a Jelsa song.

No,you don't understand,it actually is.

See?Told you there's a big fanbase.

I don't really have to point out some lyrics because the entire song is written in a way that would fit the characters.

Another good choice would be Demons by Imagine Dragons

Both of them had a specific plan of what they would wish life turned out.Elsa just wanted a good relationship with her sister meanwhile Jack wanted to be seen and feel connected.

But since the universe is a bitch-and plots were needed-these dreams needed to be changed.

The second part,I believe,is more fitting for Elsa since she was the one wanting to let the truth show whereas Jack didn't really care.

In conclusion;Both of them were at some point in a very bad place.In case you didn't noticed,they returned from there themselves and not with the help of someone else.

This is why I don't think it will last.

You can't get back from Hell by yourself.

If you do,this means the Demons were never killed,they lure around the shadows and wait.

That's all they do.

If anything,in a fantastic meeting between them,this song would be a perfect fit.

Yes,I am shamelessly promoting myself because for God's sake The Rising is the best thing I've written and you can all fight me.

But I have also not read any new Jelsa fics so I'll just give my recommendations on some of the best writers' works I have in my library.

Like I said,I probably haven't had a big Jelsa fanfiction problem since March 2016 so I don't even know if these authors are still around.
