I am certain that your independence day is a big important thing but honestly,even if I'm someone who doesn't like my country,I believe ours should be a bigger event.

Yet the only thing people know about is our myths mainly due to Percy Jackson.Excuse you but we were also enslaved for 300 years!

Anywho,since we have the parade on 9 days(I'M FRONT ROW)I think we could all use some useless info with which we can act all smart on our fellow citizens.

Example:

-Hey what's the date?
-The 28th.Interesting fact,today the Greek War of Independence is celebrated.
-Who cares?I just wanted the date!

As you are probably aware six years earlier there was a law between Austria,Prussia,Russia and one more country that escapes my mind.

Despite the spirit of ethnicism during that period,every revolution should be stopped.Of course ours and Turkey's war was believed to be a simple revolution.

Why learn about another country?

I personally find it very boring.On that note I'd like to point out that the French revolution was very fond of sending people to the guillotine.
