Sage POV

"What the hell Sage! Your always finding ways to screw things over! So much for keeping our cover and staying below the radar"! I continued painting my toenails as Teague threw his annual hussy fit. It he wanted to act like a child that was on him.

"I did what was necessary. Let's not forget who earned the highest title in the pack" I gloated rolling my eyes. Teague seemed to have forgotten who was in charge.

"Sage you can't go around killing students! And what about Nadine?! Why would you go so far as to erase her memory"? Teague fisted his hands in fury. Why the hell did he care so much for the girl anyway.

"I will not explain myself. Now could you please leave I'd like to have some peace and quiet and your tantrum is irritating" I waved a hand towards the door. Getting the message he angrily slams the door leaving me in the room alone.

I was glad my stupid roommate was at cheer practice which meant I would have the room to myself for a couple of hours. When my nails finished drying I layed back in my bed ready to take my annual nap.

Who needed class anyway?

Nadine's POV

"I can't believe all we got is a stupid pizza coupon. Ina says slamming her book on to her desk. It's been two days since the annual race took place and Ina had been complaining about was the fact that we didn't win money .

"You do know they aren't aloud to hand out money to students right"? I ask shaking my head, she simply shrugs. We were currently in the library trying to get some work done.

Ina let's out a deep sigh as she stares out the window. "Victor has barely paid me any mind since we won the race" she says glumly. I glance out the window to see all three of the royals playing a game of basketball.

My eyes couldn't help but rake over Oskars fit body. His muscles gleaned with sweat and for some reason he looked taller. His dark hair ruffled atop his head and he looked so in tune with getting the ball into the basket.

"Why can't you two just be a couple already" Ina says loudly causing the librarian to give us deathly look. I look at Ina as if she's crazy.

"He's with Sage". I put it simply not wanting to discuss things further. Me and Oskar would never be more than acquaintances. We weren't friends that much was clear. I remained quiet the rest of the time we were in the library.

After an hour had past I looked to see Ina softly asleep with her head down on the table. Rolling my eyes I start packing my things back into my bag. I lightly shake Ina trying to wake her but she doesn't even flinch. With a sigh I write a note leaving it for her for when she wakes up.

I walk out the library deciding to stop by my locker. I'm in my own world when I see Teague and Sage arguing down the hall. It looks heated as Sage flails her arms about. Teague looks all the more frustrated as he clenches his fists.

I was probably being too nosey so I quickly went to my locker to drop off some books. Shutting it closed I'm shocked when I'm greeted with a red faced Teague.

"Uh hey..." I greet awkwardly. His features soften a little as he takes a deep breath. He suddenly places a hand on my shoulder.

"Could we... talk for a moment" he asked his voice almost pleading me to say yes. Sage looks at us from down the hall a dark scowl on her face.

"Sure" I answer and he pulls me by the wrist. We head down the opposite the direction into the gym. Only a few students are there playing a game of volleyball.

We sit down on the bleachers side by side. It's silent at first as we stare at the volleyball being thrown back and forth. Sweat starts to form across my forehead and I dab it off before it can leak down my face.

"I'm sorry if this seems akward. I know we've only spoken a few times". He runs a hand behind his head his face turning a bit red. I almost smile at his embarrassment.

"It's cool, I don't mind" I say teasingly holding back a smile. Teague was a mystery that was for sure and he was the opposite of Oskar. Not that I was comparing them it's just they acted completely different.

Teague was more on the shy side. He rarely spoke and when he did he came off friendly. While Oskar was very straightforward, it didn't matter what, he would always speak his mind.

Maybe that's why you like him...

Stupid inner voice. Always making an appearance at the worst of times. I shake my head focusing my attention back to Teague who seemed to be in his own little world. In my head I was wondered what exactly he wanted to talk about. He licked his lips before turning his head to look me in the eyes.

"I know Sage is... hard to get to know. I just wanted to apologize on her behalf... she can be a little... intimidating" he says with a frown. I held back a smile as his face resembled a puppy.

"You don't need to apologize for her. And besides I've grown used to her unpleasant attitude" I say with a grin. His face soon relaxes into a smile of his own.

"Dina... go out with me. I mean... only if you want to" he says with so much hesitation the sight makes me giggle. His bright red hair flops atop his head as his face turns redder by the second.

"Of course I'll go out with you Teague" I say trying to ease his worry. I genuinely liked him, he was far different from the other guys I had met but his personality was warm and inviting.

So much for saying I didn't have the time to date someone.

Later that night...

While the academy was asleep outside stood a pack of hungry wolves . Front and center Sage stood tall her dirty grey fur shining brightly against the moon. She reeked power end envy and she demanded it. It was only a matter of time before they would make there presence known.

But for now they would hide in the shadows. Until the full moon would soon appear. And then finally they would own over every land and every human.

They were the last pack to exist and they planned to live for a very long time. Sage would make sure her pack would live to see another century no matter the cost. She would show her father how fully well and capable she was.

Without a mate.
