Nadine's POV

"Here's your key to your dorm. I grab my things from the woman across the desk. After an hour of searching for the admissions office I finally found it.

"Thanks so much" I say before heading out into the hallway. I drag my suitcases towards an elevator already seeing my room was on the fifth floor. This would be my first time having a roommate so I was a bit nervous.

When the elevator arrived I got on and pressed the fifth floor. Taking deep breaths I prayed that my roommate wouldn't be some random weirdo. The elevear opened and I made my way to room number 45.

I walk down the silent hallways finally arriving at the proper door. I inhale deeply before opening up the door. I come face to face with a blonde headed girl sitting on her bed with headphones in her ears.

"Hello, you must be my roommate. My name is Ina what's yours" she asks jumping up from her bed and taking out her headphones. I'm shocked at her friendliness, but I soon relax.

"I'm Nadine, it's nice to meet you" I say giving her a small smile.

"Well thats your side over there. I wasn't sure which side you wanted and I didn't know when you would arrive" she says nervously.

"It's no big deal, either side will do just fine" I say lugging my suitcases towards my side of the room. There was a twin size bed with the mattress bare, and a small desk pushed to the other side.

"This room sure is big for two people" I say placing my things off to the side. The was quite spacious and we had a nice sized couch with a gleaming flat screen TV. Who would have thought I would have earned that scholarship and be able to attend one of the best schools in the state.

"Yeah this school is known for its lavish style. So where are you from"?

"I'm from Ohio, I've pretty much lived in a small town all my life" I say jokingly. I take a seat on the comfy couch and Ina sits on the opposite side.

"I've never been to Ohio, I'm from California. My family runs a business company and that's really the reason I'm here to learn about how to run a business even if it's something I don't want to do" she says rolling her eyes.

I nod my head not understanding how she could be so open with me when we just met. I continue examining the room still starstruck by its size. "Welp I should probably get started unpacking my stuff" I say hopping off the couch.

"Did you need any help or-

"No thanks I think I'm good but thanks for the offer". I haul one of my large suitcases, dropping it onto my bare mattress.

"Oh by the way your uniform was dropped off, I placed it in your closet" Ina says before walking back to her side of the room.

"Thanks"

I continue silently putting my things away. An hour later I had finished putting my stuff away, I put brand new bedsheets on my mattress that I got from target.

Feeling exhausted I plop down onto my soft bed. It's not long before I doze off taking a small nap.

"Hey Nadine... it's dinner time". I felt slight shaking and I internally groan. I open my eyes to see a nervous Ina hovering over me.

"I uh... wasn't sure if you wanted to come to dinner" she stutters. I wipe the sleep from my eyes before stretching out my limbs.

"Yeah, thanks for waking me up I'm actually starving. I'm just going to wash up a bit and then we can go".

I get up from bed making my way to the bathroom. I'm even more starstuck by its beauty. The bathtub was absolutely huge, as well as the shower. There was a huge mirror and tons of space I could dance naked in here if I wanted!

I grab my toothbrush brushing my teeth and then washing my face. I brush out my dark hair as it rests against my shoulders. Once done I change into a school sweater with my comfy great sweats.

"Alright I'm ready" I say stepping out of the bathroom. Ina and I make our way towards the elevators, the hallway was filled with commotion of the other students.

We exit out of the elevator and I follow after Ina as I had no clue where anything was. Everything in this school seemed gigantic!

The cafeteria was more like a food court where you could choose from different restaurants. "Wow this school just keeps surprising me" I say as we step into one of the lines.

There is sudden commotion. "What's going on" I mutter. I try peering through the small group of girls standing by the entrance of the cafeteria.

"The royals must be here" Ina says standing next to me not looking surprised.

"Royals" ?

"Well there like the elite of the school. Ya know there parents are filthy rich they are pretty popular here at Clear Lake Academy".

I frown at the information. "So they are popular just because they are rich" I scoffed.

"That's not all of course, they all just so happen to be good looking" Ina says wiggling her eyebrows. Just then three boys make there way into the cafeteria, one with pale blonde hair and blue eyes, the other with brown hair and brown eyes.

And of course last but not least

The arrogant piece of shit I knocked into this morning.

"Pfft I don't see what the hype is" I say crossing my arms. Just then my eyes meet with the dark haired boy with sharp green eyes. I quickly look away saving myself from an embarrassing moment.

"You'd have to be insane to deny they are good looking. I mean they practically ooze of hotness. I'd give anything for one of them to notice me". I watch as Ina practically drools over the three mysterious boys.

"Yeah well I could care less about some royal snobs. I'm starving we should order" I say having enough with this conversation.

I was here for only one thing. That was to improve my skills so that I could one day become a well known artist.

I didn't have time to worry about a bunch of rich guys I didn't know.

In other words I could care less.
