It was the time of the sunset, an ambulance was moving on the road and it went to a large building where the sign and name of the hospital was marked on it. A stretcher was taken in the corridor. Avni was laying on the stretched and she was unconscious. Neil, Prakash, Mitlai and Sunehri were walking witht the stretched fastly. Neil looked on the way and then he looked at Avni who was unconscious.

They came to the OT and the stretcher was taking inside and everyone stopped outside there. Neil and others were looking at Avni. Avni was taken inside and then door got closed. The staff draw the curtain. Neil and others looked at the door. Neil sighed. Soon, Shweta came there and everyone saw her.

Shweta: Avni?

Neil’s eyes got moist and he gulped. Neil  signed at the door. Shweta cupped her mouth and cried. Shweta came to Neil and hugged him. Shweta cried and Neil suppressed his lips and his eyes were moist. They waited there. Prakash was looking really very worried but he was trying his best to control his emotions. They waited there for the good news.
Shweta was sitting on the bench and Neil was standing. Neil remembered something.

Neil: Mom, Moghli?

Shweta was wiping her face with her dupatta and she looked at him.

Shweta: Usay Sukoon house chor kar ayi hun.

Neil nodded.

Shweta: Bohat sawal puch raha tha. Papa kahan gaye hain? kyun woh ase chale gaye? Mama ko kya howa hai?

Neil felt bad. Others also felt bad.

Shweta: bohat mushkil se usay shant kiya.

Neil felt bad. Prakash was looking at them and then he looked at Mitali. Prakash thought.

After some time, a doctor came out and everyone saw him. They came to him.

Neil: doctor, Avni.

Prakash looked at Neil and then he looked at the doctor.

Doctor: dekhiye, filhal hum kuch nahi keh sakte. Bullet un ke chest main right side per lagi hai.

Neil and others were shocked.

Doctor: aur shayad pehle bhi unhe goli lag chukka hai.

Everyone said, yes except Mitali.

Doctor: but thankfully bullet un ke right side per lagi hai left per nahi.

Neil was shocked and others took a sigh of relief. Neil thought.

Neil whispered: lekin Avni ka heart to…

Neil was shocked and he looked at the doctor.

Neil: doctor, Avni ka heart right side per hai.
The doctor was shocked. Others also got shocked.

Doctor: what?

Neil nodded.

Neil: yes, doctor.

Doctor: are you sure about it?

Neil: I am 100 percent sure about it. She is my wife.

Everyone looked at Neil shockingly especially Mitali.

Neil: I know everything about her. Avni ka heart right side per hai.

The doctor was shocked and everyone said, han, Avni ka dil right side per hai.

Doctor wiped his mouth.

Doctor: oh no. Yeh to bohat bari gadhbar ho gai. (Neil and others were shocked) Mujhe doctors se discuss karna parega.

The doctor went inside hurriedly and everyone was looking at him worriedly, Neil thought.

The doctors were sitting in the cabin and they were discussing about Avni’s treatement. They nodded.

The doctors got ready and they came to the corridor. A doctor asked other doctors to go. The doctots nodded and they went. The doctor came to the family. Everyone was looking at him.
The doctor sighed.

Doctor: Dekhiye, hum doctors bhi insan hote hain. Hum sirf koshish kar sakte hain baki sab upar wale ke hath main hai. Hum apni taraf se 100 percent koshish karenge patient ko bachane ki. Aap bhi dua kijiye.

Everyone was looking at the doctor emotionally. Prakash joint his hands and Neil looked at his father. Neil was shocked.

Prakash: Please.

Shweta cried. The doctor held Prakash’s hand and nodded.

Doctor: Hum apni taraf se puri koshish karenge. Yakin rakhiye.

The doctor went from there and everyone broke down. Shweta took the support of Sunehri who held her and they cried.

A nurse came out and everyone alerted but she ignored them and went from there. Neil and others were looking at him. Neil looked at the OT. Soon, the nurse came back and a pad was in her hand. Everyone looked at her and she looked at them. The nurse looked at Neil.

Nurse: Aap patient ke pati hain?

Neil was shocked. Mitali also got shocked and she looked at Neil. Others were also surprised and they looked at Neil. Neil was just looking at the nurse. Neil nodded slightly and he hesitated. Mitali was shocked. The nurse came to Neil.

Nurse: is form per sign kar dijiye.

Neil looked at the form and he was shocked. Neil was very well aware of the form. Neil took the pad and he was just looking at the form. Prakash was looking at Neil.

Nurse: sir, jaldi kijiye.

Prakash: laiye mujhe dijiye. Main sign karta hun.

Neil looked at Prakash.

Nurse: aap kon?

Prakash: Main Avni ka Pita hun. Is shaks se Avni ka koi rishta nahi hai.

Neil and Shweta were shocked. Sunehri and Mitali looked at Neil.

Prakash: Avni ka pita main hun. Mujhe dijiye, main sign karta hun.

The nurse looked at Neil. Prakash took the pad from Neil who was looking at him. Prakash signed the form.

Prakash: yeh lijiye.

Prakash gave the pad to the nurse.

Nurse: aap counter per paise jama karwa dijiye aur baki ki formalities bhi puri kar dijiye.

Prakash nodded and said, Ji. The nurse went from there. Neil was looking at Prakash who looked at him and then Prakash looked away. Neil was shocked and hurt too.

Sunheri: Avni ke operation aur baki ki treatement per to bohat kharcha hoga. Itne paise kahan se aenge.

Everyone looked at her.

Mitali: Yeh hospital bhi kafi expensive hai.

Neil looked at Mitali and Prakash got angry.

Prakash: Avni ka Baap abhi zinda hai. Kisi ko kharche ki fikar karne ki zarorat nahi hai.

Mitali was shocked. Neil was looking at Mitali angrily. Prakash looked at Sunehri.

Prakash: fikar mat karo main sab sambhal lunga. Tum bus Avni ke liye prathna karo.

Sunheri got emotional and she nodded. Prakash sighed.

Prakash: Mujhe bus meri beti theek kar ke de den. Main usay is mahol se kahin dur le jaunga.

Neil and Shweta were shocked. Neil got hurt by his father’s behavior. Neil looked down.

Neil: Main formalities puri kar ke aata hun.

Prakash: koi zarorat nahi hai.

Neil was shocked. Shweta was also shocked.

Prakash: Main Avni ka baap hun. Main sab kuch sambhal lunga.

Neil looked at his father with hurtful eyes.

Shweta: Prakash Ji, aap…

Prakash looked at Shweta.

Prakash: Main aata hun formalities puri kar ke.

Shweta and others were looking at Prakash. Neil looked down. Prakash went from there. Neil looked at the OT and he thought.

Neil was looking at the OT. In the OT, the doctors were trying to save Avni’s life who was laying on the bed unconsciously. Neil was looking at the door and the memories from their first meeting till Avni got shoot engulfed him. Neil closed his eyes and a deep grief was clearly shown at his face. Neil opened his eyes and looked at OT.

Shweta was sitting on the bench and Mitali was sitting with her. Sunehri was standing while leaning with the wall. Neil was standing and Prakash was standing at a few steps away from him. Prakash looked at Neil, Mitali and Shweta. Prakash thought.

Prakash: Shweta Ji.

Shweta and others looked at Prakash.

Prakash: Aap ko, Neil aur Mitali ko ghar chale jana chahiye.

Neil and Shweta was shocked. Shweta got up and to see her Mitali also got up. Shweta looked at Neil.

Prakash: Waise bhi aap logon ka yahan koi kaam nahi hai. Main aur Sunehri hain yahan.

Sunehri looked down.

Shweta: Prakash Ji, yeh aap kya keh rahe hain? kya ho gaya hai aap ko?

Prakash: kyun mujhe kya howa hai? Maine kya ghalat kaha hai?

Shweta: Avni yahan hospital main hai. Hum bhala kaise ghar jaa sakte hain?

Prakash: Kyun? Kyun nahi jaa sakte. Aaj Neil aur Mitali ki shadi thi na.

Neil looked at Prakash shockingly. Mitali looked down.

Prakash: Aap ne aur aap ke bete ne Avni ki jaga Mitali ko chunna tha.

Neil was shocked.

Prakash: Aaj Neil ki Mitali se shadi thi.

Neil was shocked and he looked at Mitali who also looked at him. Neil felt bad and he looked down.

Prakash: Ab jaiye karwaiye in ki shadi. Aap dono ne Mitali ko chun kar Avni ke sath sare rishte khatam kar diye the. Ab aap logo jaiye, aap dono ki yahan koi zarorat nahi hai.

Neil and Shweta were looking at Prakash.

Prakash: aap inhe le jaiye. Waise hi bohat dair ho chukki hai kahin muhrat naa nikal jaye.

Neil looked at his father.

Shweta: Prakash Ji, muhrat to kab ka nikal chukka.

Prakash: to kya howa. Aaj in ki shadi thi. Aap jaa kar Pandit Ji se baat kijiye. Koi na koi rasta nikal ayega. Aap log jaiye. Aap jaa kar Neil ki shadi karwaiye.

Neil was looking down and he lost his senses. Neil behaved like a mad.

Neil said instantly: nahi.

Everypne looked at Neil.

Neil: main meri Avni ko chor kar kahin nahi jaunga.

Mitali was shocked.

Prakash: Meri Avni?

Neil looked at Prakash with amazement and his eyes were moist.

Prakash: Meri Avni? teri Avni kaise hoi?

Neil looked on with teary eyes.

Prakash: tu shayad bhul raha hai ke tu ne Avni ko divorce de diya hai.

Neil was shocked.

Prakash: tum dono ka divorce ho chukka hai.

Neil was shocked.

Prakash: ab tera meri bachi se koi rishta nahi hai.

Neil gulped and his eyes were moist. Neil got angry.

Neil: to kya hogaya? Kagaz ka ek tukra humara rishte ka status nahi bata sakta. Avni meri thi, Avni meri hai aur meri hi rahegi.

Mitali looked at Neil shockingly.

Neil: aur main Avni ka hun aur sirf aur sirf Avni ka hi rahunga.

Mitali was shocked and she looked down. Shweta looked at Mitali with pity eyes. Prakash was looking at Neil.

Neil: main meri Avni ko chor kar kahin nahi jaunga.

Prakash looked on. Neil expressions changed from anger to sadness. Neil got emotional and he cried. Neil came to Prakash and he hugged hum. Neil cried. Prakash felt bad and his anger flew away to see his son’s devastated condition.

Neil: please Dad. Please mujhe meri Avni se dur mat kijiye. Please mujhe jane ke liye mat kahiye. Please.

Neil cried. Neil: please… main nahi reh sakta us ke bina.

Shweta also cried and Sunehri’s eyes were teary. Prakash hugged Neil and caressed his back and hair.

Prakash: Tu ne bohat dair kar di is baat ko smajhne main, Neil.

Neil was crying.

Prakash: Main to kab se tujhe yeh baat samjhane ki koshish kar raha tha. Main tujhe roz samjhata raha lekin tu ne meri ek naa mani.

Neil cried. Prakash caressed his hair. Mitali looked down. Prakash broke the hug and cupped Neil’s face. Prakash kissed Neil’s forehead and Shweta was crying.

Prakash: tu chinta mat kar. Kuch nahi hoga Avni ko.

Neil was crying.

Prakash: kuch nahi hoga usay. Hum sab ki duain hain us ke sath. Usay kuch nahi hoga.

Prakash smiled. Neil smiled while crying.

Prakash: ek baar Avni theek ho jaye phir hum tum dono ki phir se shadi karwa denge.

Mitali was shocked. Sunehri looked at Mitali and she felt bad. Neil was crying.

Neil: Avni theek ho jayegi na?

Prakash: bilkul theek hogi. usay hona hi parega.

Neil hugged his father and cried. Prakash consoled Neil. They broke the hug and wiped their eyes.

Prakash: chal ab rona band kar. Apne baap ko bhi rola raha hai.

Neil and Shweta smiled and wiped their eyes. Neil’s eyes fell on Mitali and he got shocked. Neil felt bad to see Mitali who smiled slightly. Neil thought and now he was in dilemma what he do but his heart want to see Avni fine right now nothing else.

The doctors were treating Avni. The staff was coming and going. Neil and others tried to ask about Avni but they ignored them. Neil was sitting on the bench and he thought.

Neil in mind: aaj phir se wahi dar, wahi dard mehsos kar raha hun jo maine dus saal pehel mehsos kiya tha.

Neil remembered the dreadful day of his life where he saw the burning house of Vidyut and saw Avni burning.

Neil in mind: us din maine Avni ko khoya tha.

Neil looked up and prayed: God, please meri Avni ko theek kar dijiye. Pehle hi ek baar usay kho chukka hun ab dubara nahi kho sakta.

Neil thought.

Neil in mind: Main nahi janta kismat ne humare liye kya soch rakha hai. Na jane hum sath honge yaa nahi.

Neil sighed.

Neil in mind: chahe hum sath hon yaa naa hun bus Avni meri nazron ke samne rakhe. Theek rahe mere liye itna hi kafi hai.

Neil looked up and closed his eyes. Neil prayed.

The moon was shining in the sky and the silence was all around the Sukoon house where the kids were sitting in the living area.
Moghli: Samrat Bhaiya, Mama ko kya howa hai? wahan sab keh rahe the ke Mama ki Jaan ko khatra hai.

Samrat looked at Tara and Sitara. They felt bad. Samrat looked at Moghli and smiled.

Samrat: kuch nahi howa. Woh ek bad man aye the aur tum to jante ho na ke Jaan Didi super woman hain.

Moghli nodded.

Samrat: to unho ne un gande uncle se fight ki to bus usi waja se unhe thori si chot lag gai hai.

Tara and Sitara nodded.

Samrat: to bus usi ka treatement karwane gai hain woh. Kuch din mai wapis ajaengi.

Moghli: uff ho yeh Mama bhi naa. Zyada chot lagi hai kya?

Everyone felt bad.

Samrat: Nahi. Hum sab mil kar pray karenge to woh jaldi theek ho jaenge. Chalo, chal kar pray karte hain.

Moghli nodded. They went and pray for Avni. In the hospital, Neil looked at the prayer side and he thought. Neil got up and he went there. Neil joint his hands and closed his eyes. Neil prayed.

Neil in mind: God, pehle hi aap kai baar meri Avni ko mujhse dur kar chukke hain ab aur nahi. Is baar aap ko Avni ko mere pass wapis bejhna hi hoga.

Neil prayed for Avni and Mitali was looking at him. Neil and the kids prayed for Avni.

In the operation theatre, Avni’s condition got worsen and she started to sink. The doctor got shocked. They were trying their best. Neil and the kids were praying for Avni whose life was in danger. A nurse came out and everyone saw her worried.

Prakash: Kya howa?

Neil was coming back and he saw Prakash and the nurse. Neil started to walk fastly.

Nurse: Patient ki halat bigarti jaa rahi hai.

Neil was coming and he stopped to hear the nurse. Everyone got shocked. Neil was looking at the nurse shockingly. The nurse went from there. Neil was looking at the nurse and he looked shock and numbed.
