Prakash: what happened what did ali say ?

Neil looked up the stairs and then back at his family

Neil: ali will arrive on tuesday night I found a flight on toueday coming from delhi to mumbai too so I have booked 2 tickets for aman and nanno as well

Bebe: didnt ali question?

Nejl: he did but I told him he will get the answer to his question when he comes

Bebe: I'll call aman and famtima ji

Neil: bebe dont worry I called aman and told him

Bebe nodded

Shweta: bebe I'll go and see what needs to be made for dinner

Bebe: wait I will come too

Shweta nodded as she and bebe walked into the kitchen

Prakash: neil ...let's go for a walk till then

Neil smiled and nodded

Meanwhile in America ali was looking thoughtful when someone walked into the room

Person: hey

Ali: hey he said looking up to see the person in front of him

Person: what happeend ? Looks like something is bothering u

Ali: neil called...he wants me to come india

The person looked surprised

Person: y india all of a sudden ?

Ali: that is what I'm wondering about as he said once I get there I'll get the answer to my questions

Person: so when r u going?

Ali: not me...we r going

Person: we? Ali u know I cant come who will be here the person said

Ali: dont worry about that... I got the tickets booked he said showing the email to the person to see the tickets ali booked

Person: but wont it be risky because....

Ali: no...I told neil we will leave from here at 20:45 tomorrow and reach to india on tueday at 23:45

Person: but the ticket times r different

Ali:I know that is y I told him we will reach at that time when the truth is we will reach early so that we get time he said while The person nodded

Person: I'll get packing... ali nodded while the person left

Back in India avni had come down to find nobody in the hall when suddenly she heard a mixture sound in the kitchen

She walked to the kitchen to see bebe cutting vegetables while shweta taking the onion paste out of the mixture

Avni: mummji bebe u could have called me I would have helped

Shweta and bebe looked up to see avni

Bebe: puttar we didnt call u as u was busy sorting the kids room out  na

Shweta: haan and we know how cooking is not easy for you so we didnt want to trouble you.

Avni: some things may not have changed in these years but one good thing has happened she said smiling at them

Shweta: kya?

Avni: I know how to cook.

Shweta; you learnt cooking she said not able to believe her ears

Avni: haan..the avni who didnt know how to make a cup of tea learnt that by staying far away from you all she said getting lost for a second

Bebe and shweta looked at each other and then at avni

Shweta: really.... if that's the case then chalo u cook today she said brining avni back to the present...right bebe

Bebe: right she said smiling

Avni looked shweta and bebe

Avni: I promise I wont let u down

Shweta: ok so now tell us how shall we help you

Avni: for now you both go out of the kitchen and dinner will be ready soon

Bebe: but puttar will u be able to manage cooking alone

Avni: haan bebe you dont worry

Shweta and bebe nodded and left while avni got started

20 mins later neil and prakash came back and sat on the couch after their walk

Shweta: u both took your time she said bringing water from the table and gave it to neil and prakash

Prakash: maybe you finished cooking early if we had known you would have finished making dinner we would have taken u

Shweta:I'm fit thanks she said

Bebe: haan we can see that she said mumbling but all heard that

Shweta: bebeeeee

Bebe:what bebe

Neil: ok please dont start now he said placing his glass down

Prakash: by the way what is for dinner

Shweta: dont know she said sitting down

Prakash: hein ? u made dinner and u dont know what you made he said while neil was also surprised

Bebe:she didnt make dinner.

Prakash: then who?

Shweta: avni

Neil and prakash looked surprisingly at shweta

Neil: avni he whispered

Shweta: haan avni...she told us that she learnt cooking and also how to make tea

Neil looked at shweta

Neil; I'll go and see

Shweta was about to stop him but bebe held her wrist

Bebe: let him go shweta ...let them have small moments together like this.

Prakash and shweta nooded

neil started walking towards the kitchen he was able to smell the aroma of what avni was making ...as he entered he saw avni busy cutting tomatoes

Neil: avni he said walking towards her

Avni looked up

Avni:neil? When did you come ?

Neil:just now...mom told me you learnt cooking

Avni smiled

Avni: haan... I had to she said smiling at him

Neil: when did you start learning he said standing next to her leaning his back against the worktop

Avni: when I decided to open sukhoon ghar I know I wouldnt be able to bare the expense of buying outside food all the time and I couldnt use neela ma money otherwise u all would have known..so I decided to learn cooking from sunheri and also from an aunty who teached me she said

Neil: it was tough for you na

Avni looked at neil

Avni:it was but then I would imagine you and  you would motivate me...then when i would be motivated enough you would dissapear

Neil moved to avni and hugged her from the back

Neil: im sorry that you was all alone he said

Avni: dont be...you was always with me neil but the only difference was  it wasnt real but my imagination which yet felt real even if it was  for few seconds..

Neil:even I have imagined you avni not once but many times..I would risk my life thinking u will come and meet me just to get a glimpse of you in my imagination..

Avni: now no more imagination she said turning to face him while he pecked her forehead

Avni: acha taste this she said taking some gravy in a spoon and gave it to neil 

Neil: you feed na he said and opened his mouth

Avni shook her head smiling and placed the spoon in his mouth

She saw neil moving his mouth with a frown with the smile disappearing from his face as he looked at her.

Avni: what happened isnt it nice she asked ?

Neil: did u make this ?

Avni:haan y? Is something wrong

Neil: no nothing is wrong it's nice but u see I am not able to digest that you made it he said with a hint of playfulness

Avni: but I made it only ..who else will make it she said

Neil: dd he said pretending to think

Avni: dd she said frowning

Neil:haan remember when you had come into this house for the first time and u had to cook at that time dd gave food secretly since you didnt know how to cook

Avni: those days were different I know how to cook now ok..besides u even liked my tea which I had made for you

Now neil was surprised

Neil: tea?

Avni slowed the gas and looked at Neil... she held his hand placing hers on top of his

Avni:haan...when I first saw you at the holi party after 10 years....I wasnt able to believe it that you was in front of me..I wondered what would be your reaction only to realise u was not in your sense due to the bhang... I had tried to send u away but u didnt go and then I got a little selfish and thought to spend some quality time with you so that I can have more memories of us she said as her voice became a little shaky

Neil:avni he said softly as he cupped her cheeks...avni smiled and chuckled

Avni: and u know when I bought u too sukhoon ghar i made tea for u so that u believe I'm your imagination even in your bhang state ... and u enjoyed the tea I made thinking I'm your imagination as for everyone avni never knew how to cook she said smiling at him

Neil: avni I dont remember that but I know one thing that you have made this...I just got a little playful...however I wish that I remembered that time but I know it must have been special...u know when I was leaving that day I felt I was leaving something behind... a feeling which was close to me yet I was unable to recognise it and now I know what that feeling was he said

Avni moved in to hug neil while he wrapped his hand around her

Neil: by the way wifey if we continue to stay like this then the food might burn..even though I dont mind staying like this he said

Suddenly avni pushed him away and checked her food..luckily had lowered the gas flame

Avni: neil u go now I need to get food ready on time otherwise you will keep on distracting me she said

Neil: acha ? Tell me how do I distract u he said standing next to her as he whispered in her ears

Avni: neil go otherwise I'll call mummy ji

Neil: come on avni here I'm trying to spend time with u and u r trying to kick me away

Avni: haan because I want to cook and make everyone happy now goooo she said and pushed him away

Neil:ok I'm going but at least tell me what this gravy is for

Avni: that u will only find out at the dining table now go she said

Neil:I dont feel like going

Avni: neil tum...but she couldnt continue as sunheri came into the kitchen

Sunheri: avni u need any help

Avni: haan can u cut some salad she said

Neil looked at avni while she gestured him to go..neil looked at sunheri to see her getting things ready to cut...before she would turn neil placed a peck on avni cheeks and left the kitchen while avni went still not expecting that when sunheri was in the kitchen

Sunheri: avni what happened she said as she came near her

Avni looked at sunheri

Avni:nothing happened she said coming up with a nervous smile and got back to cooking

Once the cooking was done avni and sunheri along with bheema came out to see neil playing with all the kids while the rest were watching with a smile

Avni: dinner is ready she said 

Everyone turned to look at avni while the kids ran

All of them sat down while avni and sunheri were about to serve everyone

Bebe: avni, sunheri u also sit down

Avni: bebe I actually want to serve you all first then I'll sit ...sunheri you  sit

Sunheri: no I'll help you

Neil:avni we all will take it u both sit down

Avni: I will but let me serve ...it will Give me happiness she said

All smiled while sunheri and avni started serving everyone

The kids were useto avni taste so it was normal but the khanna family was surprised with how the food looked

Neil: rajma he said getting happy and looked at avni who nodded and smiled

All started to eat while avni and sunheri sat down too

Prakash: avni beta this taste amazing

Bebe: haan avni you have become a master

Avni: no bebe it's nothing like that I'm still learning she said

Shweta: tillu wont you praise avni food ?

Avni looked at Neil

Neil: its only food mom what is there to praise avni cooked just like you all he said

The smile from avni face faded as she wanted to see what neil would say ....even though he had tasted her half cooked gravy but she was actually expecting him to say something about her dish when it was complete

Bebe: tillu sometimes u r like your mom haan she said

Shweta: exactly..wait what she said realising what bebe said

All chuckled while avni gave a small smile ..neil noticed avni reaction when he didnt give much response to her food and smiled inwardly

Later on tara sitara and sunheri took all the kids to their room with milk so that they can get ready to sleep after some reading.

Meanwhile avni was walking up the stairs mumbling to herself

Avni: I cooked for everyone and especially for neil but no he didnt even praise my food properly..at least he could have praised nicely like how he did in the kitchen but no neil is neil na she said

Avni reached  to the bedroom she didnt know if she should unpack or not as she and neil had ended their marriage even though they r married by souls

Suddenly avni heard the door close and turned around to see neil

Avni: y did u close the door she said taking few steps towards him

Neil:, so that I can spend some romantic time with u...

Avni: but I dont want to spend time with she said crossing her arms 

Neil: y he said standing next to her as he placed his hand around her shoulder

Avni: I thought I will cook your favourite dish and once its complete i will wait for your reaction but u didnt show any interest at all...in the kitchen when you tasted the gravy you showed so much interest but didnt say much at the dining table she said moving his hands away and walked back to her suit case

Neil watched as avni took out her nightwear ...he walked near her and took her nightwear placing it down and made her face him

Neil: that is because I wanted to praise you in my own way he said

Avni: how she asked with a frown.

Neil didnt say anything ..he held both her hands and placed a kiss on both of her palms making avni tighten her grip around his fingers not expecting him to do that

Neil: like this he said looking at her lovingly ..

Avni gave a shy smile as she looked down ..

Neil held her cheeks and moved his face closer to hers...avni looked at neil and then his lips...her heartbeat getting faster each second...as their lips were close enough avni turned her face away 

She took a step back and was about to turn when neil held avni wrist and pulled her closer while avni gulped...neil caressed her lips

Avni: neil somebody will come she said nervously

Neil:nobody will he said pulling her a little more closer

Avni heart beat started increasing making neil hear her breathing unevenly

Neils hands went around avni waist while avnis hand move around Neil's shoulder as both their eyes closed..their lips getting closer

Precrap: neil: avni

Avni:hmm

Neil: shall we go to avni ayesha house tomorrow

Avni looked at neil

Avni:y?

Neil: avni our son knows my side of the family but he also needs to know his mumma side of family too...we can take him to ayesha ma house and tell him about her

Avni looked at neil while he hoped she agrees
