Part 16

In December, Delhi city usually curls in chillness. But today, it drizzles since morning suppressing the cold weather. Climate looks cloudy. Seems it will rain anytime heavily. The weather cannot be predicted these days. Arnav was returning back home from AR. He saw a familiar figure was standing in bus stop. She was none other than Khushi. Obviously Arnav's focus would not have gone there if it was not Khushi. He stopped the car near her foot and she jerked. She was about to scold the Driver but she stopped her utterance seeing Arnav. She rolled her eyes and glared at him. Arnav smirked at her and gestured to get in. He raged when she didn't obey. He came out of the Car.

Arnav: Is it necessary to be adamant at every point?

Khushi: I came by myself. And I know to return back home in the same way.

Arnav: Khushi it's already late evening and seems like it can rain anytime. Come on.

He opened the door and waited for her to get in. He was right, it can rain anytime. If it is so then it is not wiser to stay here. It may end her up in trouble. And most of all, Arnav won't leave the place until he gets the assurance of her safety. Then there is no point in denying. She gave up and sat inside. Arnav started the Car, in few minutes it started raining. Arnav looked at Khushi smirking.

Khushi saw a girl who was standing in the rain and selling ROSES while drenching. She felt sad for that girl. It's not hard to guess that girl's requirement. If she stays in the rain without worrying about her wetness, expecting someone to buy her flowers, then she must be in need of money.

Khushi: Stop the car.

Arnav pulled the break with the jerk.

Arnav: Whaaaat?

Khushi: Rose.

Arnav rolled his eyes. She waved her hand at the girl. The girl came by running towards their car. Khushi took out her Umbrella and covered the girl from drenching in rain sitting inside the car.

Khushi: How much?

Girl: Each ten Rupees. Didi.

Khushi: What? It's too much.

Girl: No Didi( she said pleading)

Khushi: Total how many Roses?

Girl: Eleven.

Khushi: I will give only hundred. Ok?

Girl nodded ok, as she can go home soon.

Khushi gave her hundred rupees. When the girl turned to leave...

Khushi: Wait, take this umbrella.

Girl: No Didi, it's ok.

Khushi: I'm not giving you in free. I will take it from you when I cross this path next time. Ok?

Girl: When will you come next time?

Khushi: Mmmm.. I don't know. Untill then you can use my umbrella. Ok?

The Girl nodded happily smiling at her.

Khushi: Go home before rain gets heavier.

The Girl ran from there taking Khushi's umbrella. Khushi smiled in satisfaction and she was embarrassed by Arnav's content smile.

Arnav (smiling): Drama over?

Khushi (embarrassing): which drama?

Arnav: You purposely stopped the car to help the girl right?

Khushi: Is it wrong to help others?

Arnav: I didn't say that either. But why did you bargaining then?

Khushi: She should not think that I am sympathetic to her. Now she will feel confident. That's why.

Arnav was looking at her devotedly.

Arnav: You think a lot about others. Don't you? Especially when it comes to "hurting emotions", only I'm exceptional. (He said arching his eyebrows)

Does she hurt his emotions? Khushi didn't want this talk to extending. She wants to alter the topic.

Khushi: By the way how did you come here?

Arnav: This is my regular way to home. How did "YOU" come here today?

Khushi: I came to Devi Maiya temple.

Arnav: You are worshiping her everyday at home, whereas is it necessary to visit temple?

Khushi: You are also working from home right? Then why did you go to office today?

Arnav: All kind of work cannot be done from home. Such work need right place which is called office.

Khushi: Same here. Temple is a special place which is suitable for prayers. And It's kind of showing respect, as we will go to their place and receive blessings. They will feel happy and also gives their blessings too. (pause)

It's not so hard to guess for Arnav that Why did she go to the temple in this unpleasant climate? She wants to pray for her mother because tomorrow is her operation.

Arnav: You are missing your mother right?

She was bowled over. How did he know? She didn't even take anything about her mother here then?

Arnav (gulping): Me too.(Khushi looked at him bewilder.) I read somewhere that "god can't be everywhere so he sent MOTHER to earth". I didn't even get that LUCK. (pause) You are a small version of my mother. You are making me remember her by your acts. She would have been happy seeing you if she is alive.

Khushi swallowed her emotions.

Arnav: She was also kind hearted person like you. Whenever I see you, I think of my mother. After her demise, I never saw anyone like her until I met you.

Khushi thought that he fell in love with her just by seeing her on TEEJ. Information which she was getting right now was unexpected to her.

Khushi: But you met me in unconscious state right?

Arnav: I already saw you before that incident when you were defending a sewer man from your Mousi. (Khushi was surprised.) That was the first incident, I lost my self. I touched my MAA's mangal sutra unknowingly which is always with me. The interesting thing is, I didn't see your face that time.( he smiled) And I didn't even know that you are the same girl when I saw you fainting on TEEJ. (Khushi was falling weaker by his declaration.) I was surprised when I came to know that both girls are same. Until then, I had no idea, why my life goes behind some unknown girls. I started getting into you deeply when I came to know that both girls are same.

You believe that everything is happening with the reason right? Now tell me what was the reason that you to came in my life? Why did I like you even without seeing your face? Why should I cross the same bus stand exactly at the same time when you faint? Why should I break your fast? (Khushi looked at him shockingly) Doctor told me that you might faint because of your fasting as that day was TEEJ. It was confirmed when you asked me again and again about "feeding water". You believe your Devi Maiya right? Then why did she make us meet at her Temple? Why did I feel the pull towards you? I'm searching answers for those questions from the first day of our meeting. You always has answers for every question right? Answer me now. If you can give answer beyond my Howard Brain then I will surely accept it.

Khushi was wordless. What answer could she give? She never knew that she was getting in to someone's life without her knowledge to this extend. Arnav started the car.

Rest of their journey went in the domination of silence. But their mind was utterly opposite to it like an enraged ocean. Arnav's questions were echoing in Khushi's mind. She turned her gaze to Arnav who was concentrating on the road though he felt her gaze. He knew she was disturbed. Let her be disturbed. If he wants to happen something then he should do something which he never did. So he confessed everything today as this is the best chance to speak with her. Or else she won't give him a chance to pour his heart ever. What's the use of hiding the truth and feelings? "LOVE" only gets its respect when it gets recognized by the particular person whom belongs to it. She is the one who is the owner of his Love and feelings. He showed her unknown side of his heart by giving enough transparency.

But they didn't know the truth that they are not allowed to decide their life as it was already decided and it's already gone into someone's responsibility.... THE ALMIGHTY.
