Part 24

Finally...Khushi decided to cook Dall tadka, mutter paneer and bengan ki sabji. She tasted the food. She didn't like it as there was nothing called taste. She frowned. She asked HP to taste the food.

Khushi: Hpji, please taste the food and say how it tastes.

HP(panicking): No no Khushiji, Dhadiji will become anger if anyone tastes her food.

Khushi's eyes popped out. Hey Devi Maiya, what will happen if Dhadi get to know that she already tasted it? Without tasting it how could it get altered if needed?

HP: Khushiji, Dhadiji came to dinning.

Khushi prayed DM and brought the dishes to the dining. She prepared the same dish with required spices for Arnav separately.

Dhadi started eating. Khushi was staring at her face to know her expression. There was nothing she could see. Dhadi finished eating and went to her room. What that means? She didn't say anything..

Arnav looked at Khushi who was still nervous.

Arnav: What are you thinking?

Khushi: Ohh I don't know Dhadi liked the food or not.

Arnav(plainly): She liked it.

Khushi: But she didn't say anything about it.

Arnav: She liked it that's why she didn't say anything about it.

Khushi: Means?

Arnav: if she didn't like then she would not have eaten.

Khushi sighed in relief. Arnav gave her a plate and gesture her to eat. She nodded no.

Arnav(frowning): Why?

Khushi: What if Dhadi sees me eating here?

Arnav: She won't come.

Khushi: No, I will eat in the kitchen after you finishes.

Arnav( taking his plate): let's go to kitchen then.

Khushi(shockingly): What are you doing? Are you mad? What Dhadi will think if she sees you eating in the kitchen?

Arnav(smirking): What will she think?

Khushi: She will get doubt on us.

Arnav(pretending): How?

Khushi(sighed): She will think that you are behind me.

Arnav: There is nothing to doubt because it is a pure true.

Khushi: why won't you understand?

Arnav: I said she won't come out if she once went to her room after her meals. It's her routine. Even though if she needs anything then she will call HP. Now sit and eat.

Khushi sat there hesitatingly and started eating looking at the pathway which connects Dhadi's room. Arnav rolled his eyes seeing her being so scared. Khushi was thinking about Dhadi's dinner. She should prepare something again following her instruction. Arnav went to his room to get ready as he got an urgent work in the office.

Evening.

Khushi was in the kitchen preparing dinner. She was about to turn and bumped on Arnav who was there to say something to her. He circled her waist and saved her from falling.

She looked into his eyes. He looked new with "thilak" on the forehead. Dhadi should have applied it. Arnav smiled seeing her lost. Khushi pulled herself from his clutch and looked down in embarrassment. Didn't he go to office? When did he come?

Arnav: Dhadi won't eat anything at nights. She only drinks milk. You no need to prepare dinner for her.

Khushi nodded ok without looking at him. Arnav smirked at her panting figure and left the kitchen. She gasped. Uff. Now a days she was suffocating by his sudden impacts. His eyes..... She had seen it before somewhere. But where?

Next day.

All the required work of shradh was done by Dhadi. She herself did it without any one's help as it have to be done by family members. HP came with the lapm and about to pour oil in it. Dhadi stopped him.

Dhadi: What are you doing? Who asked you to do it? Don't you know only family members should do these work?

HP: Sorry Dhadiji.

HP left the place. Khushi Gulped seeing Dhadi was in anger. It will be better if she will not go in front of Dhadi.

Subhadra took out Arvind and Ratna's photo from the cupboard. She caressed it. Her vision got blur due to tears.

Subhadra: Why did you do that Ratna? How did your heart let you leave your chotte all alone? You never got enough of his love then why didn't you think about him at least for once? Couldn't you see him yearning for love? Help him to get what he wants, give him what he likes. She wiped her tears and saw Arnav was standing there hearing her talks.

Dhadi(looking at Arnav): I thought in some days you will come to me with a girl who wears minimal clothes. But you amazed me Arnav.

A content smile appeared on Arnav's face.

Arnav: Do you like her?

Dhadi: Why not, when you are so much in love with her? I want nothing more than your happiness Arnav.(pause) Shall I talk to her?

Arnav(smiled): No Dhadi. I don't want to make her embarrass. You just behave like what she said.

Dhadi: Mmm.

Arnav: Doesn't mean you should treat her like a Maid. He said smilingly.

Dhadhi(smilingly): you want me to treat her like my Bahu?

Arnav(rolling his eyes smilingly): Dhadhi.....(pause) Tell me, how did you get to know about Khushi?

Dhadi: A girl called me and told everything.

Arnav gritted his teeth in frustration getting that who could be that "girl". Sheetal. She is the one who is sending funds to ashram from AR every month after getting his signature. No one except Aman and Sheetal knows about Dhadi's existence.

Dhadi handed his parents photo to him and obviously he got emotional seeing that. That's why Subhara not prefers to keep it out side.

Few minutes later in AR

Sheetal was so excited about what was happening in RM. After lighting the matter to Dhadi she was expecting very strong action against Khushi. Arnav didn't even want her to enter into his residence and that low fashioned girl could stay at RM? How pathetic?

Sheetal(inn mind): Now I will see ASR, what can you do? I knew how orthodox your Dhadi is. What excuse will you give her? I'm sure she will kick her out of your life.

She was so engrossed in her imagination that she didn't look at Aman who entered her cabin. She neatened herself when she saw him.

Aman: Sheetal.. give back your transfer order.

Sheetal(excitedly): Why? Has ASR canceled it?

Aman: Yah, he canceled it. (her face brightened hearing that) He gave you another order.

He gave the cover to Sheetal and she opened it hurriedly. It was her terminating order. Sheetal's face drained seeing that.

Sheetal(angrily): What's this Aman? Why he is doing this? Is this the way to conduct his loyal workers?

Aman: You don't need to say how should he treat his workers.

Sheetal: I won't leave until he tells the reason.

Aman: Don't try to touch frustrated Lion. It's your good time he did not handle you directly.

He opened the door and stopped.

Aman: By the way, you made our work easier. (Sheetal looked at him confusingly) Arnav's Dhadi liked Khushi so much. Thank you for calling her to RM. He left her cabin smirking leaving horrified Sheetal.

RM

They started the pooja. Khushi was curious to see Arnav's parents especially his mother whom he loves so much.

She peeped from the kitchen to see the photo. She got mesmerized seeing his mother. She looked so beautiful and young. Yes it was her young age photo. Arnav never prefers to see his mother's "last- time" photograph with his father. It makes him aggressive. Khushi saw Subhatra was opening her eyes and looked Khushi. Khushi got nervous and hide behind the wall. She gulped hard. She remembered how Dhadi scolded HP in the morning. So she kept herself busy in the kitchen. She thinks "Doesn't his mother seem to be a little bit familiar?" She started comparing her with some old cine actresses.....

Subhadra was getting ready to leave RM as there was nothing she could do. She gestured Khushi to come. She came with hesitation. Arnav was looking at them standing beside Dhadi.

Subhadra: I have to leave.

Khushi: Jee Dhadiji.

Subhatra: Try to understand your point clearly in upcoming days. She said without expression.

Khushi didn't understand, about what she was talking.

Khushi: Jee... I can't... she stammered.

Subhatra: I mean, you told me yesterday, you are not clear about Arnav that "he is good or bad".

Khushi widened her eye while Arnav smiled at her teasingly.

Arnav: when did it happen Dhadi? I don't know that many things are happening in my back..

Khushi looked nervous. She didn't expect Dhadi would break the egg in front of him.

Dhadi: She said a lot about you but not so bad. She smiled.

Khushi was embarrassing like hell.

Arnav(with his lop sided smile): Hope you will say everything to me when I calls you Dhadi.

Dhadi: Sure. You should know what people are talking about you in your absence. Khushi... take care of everything here.

Khushi: Jee Dhadiji. She looked down.

Dhadi(looking at Arnav): Won't you take my blessings?

Khushi who was looking down thought that Dhadi was asking her to take blessings. She bent down at the same time with Arnav and touched Dhadi's feet.

Arnav looked at her surprisingly. Khushi was hell embarrassed as only a couple could take blessings together.

Khushi(panicking): I'm sorry Dhadhiji, I thought that...

Dhadi(cutting her): I asked Arnav to take blessings, but you thought I'm asking you right?

Khushi nodded yes nervously.

Dhadi: It's ok. Sometimes coincidence also looks so interesting. She smiled at Khushi who gulped her uneasiness.

Dhadi took their leave. Arnav ordered Mohan to drop Dhadi. Arnav looked at Khushi who was going towards her room. He rushed hurriedly and came in front of her. Khushi jerked at him who blocked her way.

Arnav: You believe that everything is happening with a reason right? Then what's the reason which made us take blessings as a couple?

He wanted to put something in her adamant brain. So that she might start think something useful.

She pushed him and rushed inside the room in no time she locked the door before Arnav enters inside. She closed her eyes leaning on the door. Yes, what made them take blessings together like a couple? She didn't know why such things are happening to confuse her to the core? Why??
