Part 40

Khushi was so worried seeing Garima and Bauji's interest on the alliance. Even though Garima couldn't participate in the preparation, she didn't sit inside the room silently. Buaji came to Khushi's room.

Buaji: You didn't get ready yet? They will be here anytime.

Khushi: I don't want to see the groom.

Buaji: What!! But why?

Khushi was stuck and became silent. What would she say that she was already married?

Buaji: Just shut up and get ready.

Buaji dragged her in front of the dressing table and made her sit. She stuffed the comb in her hand and commanded her to get ready. Khushi sat there doing nothing.

As the groom reached home, Khushi was called out. Buaji handed over the coffee tray to Khushi. She came to the living room with coffee tray. Her eyes glued on the ground. She was hell angry on Arnav. He gave her phone asking her to call him anytime. But his phone was on voice mail then how could she talk to him?

Buaji: Give him coffee Khushi.

Khushi jerked hearing "hope it's a sugar less coffee". She lifted her head swiftly and saw Arnav was smirking at her. She looked at him unbelievably with her open mouth.

Buaji: Haan Babuwa, yesterday you told us.

Khushi(in mind): "Yesterday?" Did he come here yesterday? Did he lie that he was busy in the meeting? Did he come here to meet Amma and Buaji before I reached here? So that he could surprise me?

She gave the coffee while glaring at him. Arnav folded his lips to control his smile seeing her cute angry expression.

Buaji: What are you looking at him Koosi? Do you know who is he? Arrey he is none other than your Ratna aunty's Chotte. He had seen her letter two days before and got to know about her will. So he came here yesterday to meet us. Your wait was not gone in vain.

Arnav(controlling his smile): Seems like she is not ready to believe me.

Garima (worriedly): But why Khushi?

Arnav: Do you remember Buaji? She didn't like when I helped her on TEEJ day.

Buaji: You don't need to take her seriously Babuwa. She is a crazy girl.

Khushi dropped her jaw.

Garima: Haan Beta, she is like that. We trust you. Wait I will bring you snacks.

She went inside the kitchen. Buaji followed her to help. Khushi looked at him gritting her teeth. Arnav lifted his eye brows smilingly. She reached him.

Arnav: Do you like my surprise?

Khushi: Surprise? Did you lie to me and come here yesterday?

Arnav: What do you think? I went to attend the damn meeting?

Khushi: Didn't you say, you have some work to complete?

Arnav: Then what I did yesterday night?

Khushi: That's why you asked me to sleep in my room?

Arnav: yah...

Khushi: You said, you will come to Lucknow to finalize the deal?

Arnav: Undoubtedly I'm here to finalize the deal. (He winked.)

Khushi(dropping her jaw): Am I a deal for you?

Arnav: Of course. Tum mere zindagi ki sabse bade deal ho. (You are the biggest deal of my life).

Khushi was speechless.

Khushi(composing herself): You made me restless. Go, I won't marry you.

Arnav(smirking): I will pick you to the stage and tie the Mangal sutra.

Khushi (sarcastically): oh really? What do you think of my Buaji? She will cut your hands if you touch me before marriage.

Arnav(cocking his eye brows): ohh really? What will you do if I pick you with her acceptance?

Khushi: Don't you think you look over confident?

Arnav: Bet?

Khushi: ok fine. I will do whatever you say.

Arnav(raisin his eye brows): Really?

Khushi: Yes.

Arnav(huskily): Whatever?

Khushi(stammer): Haann...Whatever...

Arnav: Don't underestimate me.

Khushi: of course I won't because I have never seen such a cheater like you.

Before Arnav replied,

Buaji: Cheater?

Khushi shocked and saw Buaji was standing there glaring at her.

Arnav (making face): Didn't I say Buaji? She is thinking that I'm cheating her.

Buaji: Sankadevi, you waited for him since long and you are fussing when he came searching for you?

Khushi composed herself and started playing.

Khushi: What's the proof that he is Ratna aunty's chotte?

Garima: What's the necessary for him to lie? How did he know about Ratna and Chotte then?

Buaji: You just be quite. Don't make me angry Koosi. She warned.

Khushi pouted at Arnav who was controlling his smile. They saw Aman rushing inside with hands full of sweet boxes.

Aman: Sorry guys I'm late.

He took two steps backward seeing Khushi was glaring at him.

Khushi(in gauzy sound): Another cheater cock.

Aman grinned at her comment. Arnav took the boxes from his hands and gave it to Buaji.

Arnav: Sweets to celebrate sweet moment.

Aman: ASR, Is she my Bhabi? (Aman asked seriously.)

Arnav (controlling his smile): Oh yah, sorry I forgot to introduce her. She is Khushi.

Aman: Namaste Bhabi. I'm Aman, ASR's friend cum manager.

Khushi greeted him with joining hands sarcastically.

Aman: Sorry Bhabi, We don't know which sweet you like the most, so I bought all kind of sweets.

He said looking at Arnav who nodded yes folding his lips.

Buaji: She eats all kind of sweets. In fact she can't live without sweets.

Arnav: Ohh really?

He asked like he really didn't know that.

Buaji: Babuwa I asked our panditji about the marriage date. (Arnav looked at Khushi lovingly who already was looking at him.) He gave me five dates. You can finalize it as per your schedule.

Aman(murmuring): There is no schedule until the wedding.

Buaji: There is a very good date in next month.

Arnav(shocked): Whaaaat?

He shouted making Buaji and Garima jerk. Aman almost threw up the coffee. He was horrified hearing that. Who knows other than him that what Arnav would do? He would kill him by blabbering about their separation. He had experienced it today. If that was the case in one day separation then no need to say about one month. It is a pathetic thing to be with someone who is fallen in love.

Arnav(composing): I mean, I may have to go to London next month for an important deal.

Khushi(cutting him): Buaji, then arrange the marriage after he comes from London. Problem solved. (she said mischievously)

Arnav glared at her while Aman took lead.

Aman: No no, we can't say we will be free after that too. So it's better finish it soon. (He sighed.)

Buaji: there is only one date before that which is next week.

Arnav&Aman: Then fix it Buaji. (They said together.)

Buaji looked at them amazingly. Khushi faced hard time to control her laugh seeing them working hard to finalize the nearby date.

Buaji: But how can we get Marriage Hall in short period?

Aman: You just leave it on me. I will take care of it.

Buaji: Then we have no issues.

She took the sweet box to feed it to everyone.

Arnav: What about the Bride Buaji? Is she fine with that?

He asked looking at Khushi.

Khushi: What will you do if I'm not fine?

Buaji: Hai re Nandukishor, who cares? Just shut up and do what we say.

Arnav: Thank you so much for trusting me Buaji.

Buaji opened a sweet box and supposed to feed it to Khushi. She shoved her hand off and went to Garima.

Khushi: Amma, come with me. You strained yourself too much today.

Buaji(confused): Arrey... this is the first time she refuses sweets.

Arnav: I think she is upset.

Though he knew she is playing but he didn't like her refused to eat sweet.

Buaji: We will take care of her Babuwa.

Garima: Haan beta,  she was waiting for you for long time. We were worried about her, thinking that she is ruining her life. But as Ratna said, You came  knowing her wish. I'm so happy beta. (She said emotionally.)

Arnav and Khushi also got emotional. Aman took lead.

Aman: shall I leave? I have to go  to find marriage hall.

Arnav: yah....

He said looking at Khushi.

Buaji: I too want to see Panditji to do Marriage arrangements.

Aman: I will drop you Buaji. Call me if you need any help. I will be here any time.

Buaji: Thank you so much Babuwa. Let's go then. Garima you roamed a lot today. Go and take rest.

Arnav: Haan aunty. Please take care of yourself.

Khushi took Garima inside. Buaji and Aman left to see Panditji. When Khushi came out of Garima's room she saw Arnav waiting for her.

Khushi: You didn't leave yet?

Arnav: How could I go without bidding bye to my wife?

Khushi: Bye.

Arnav(smirking): Seems like someone became an angry bird?

Khushi: I won't talk to you. Saying she went to her room.

As expected, Arnav followed her.

Arnav: Good idea to bring me here. (He teased.)

Khushi: Do you know how worried I was seeing marriage arrangements here?

Arnav: Who else other than me can dare to enter my wife's place?

Khushi: Stop flaunting.

Arnav(moving towards her): I thought I will get something from my wife if I surprised her?

Khushi got hit on the wall making Arnav's work easy to trap her in between his hands.

Khushi(pretending): What?

Arnav: You know what I want.

Khushi switched her gaze to somewhere. Arnav lifted her chin.

Arnav: Won't you say anything?

Khushi: You have no idea how happy I'm.

Arnav: I know.

Khushi: I was so worried about conveying our marriage to Amma and Buaji. You made my work easier. Thank you so much.

Arnav: Only thank you? Nothing more than that?

Khushi: What do you want?

Arnav(huskily) : I'm so greedy when it comes to your matter. I will make you embarrass asking something "BIG".

She hugged him blushing. Arnav responded it back.

Arnav: I just wanted this, to be in your embrace, that's all.

Khushi: You said you are so greedy? Is this what your greediness?

Arnav: You will get to know about it after our marriage that how greedy am I.

Khushi: Ok go before Buaji comes.

Arnav: She won't come soon. And Aman will ring me before she leaves from Panditji's place.

Khushi(dropping her jaw): Did you gesture him to do so?

Arnav: Aman doesn't need my gesture.

Khushi: Partners in crime.

Arnav(with lop sided smile): Now, a new member has joined in our team. You performed well in front of Buaji. I thought you would blabber something.

Khushi chuckled. She thought something and she asked excitedly.

Khushi: Does Dhadi know about our marriage?

Arnav: Yah I spoke to her before coming to Lucknow.

Khushi(nervously): What did she say?

Arnav: She was so happy as her grandson trapped you finally.

Khushi: Tell me what Dhadi said.

Arnav: She told me to give her blessings to you.

Khushi: Means, She is not coming to our marriage?

Arnav: She won't... because she is in Nepal.

Khushi: Nepal? But why?

Arnav: She is in her yatra to "Kailash" with her crew.

Khushi: Ohhh. She said feeling sad.

Arnav: She would have come if she went alone. But she is with her crew. This is a very big dream of her. They crossed all the formalities, training and medical checkup. It's really very tough to get selected to go Kailash.

Khushi: You are right Arnavji. It's very rare chance anyone can get. Will you take me to Ashram after our marriage?

Arnav: Sure.

Khushi: did you eat anything? (Arnav nodded no) wait I will bring you something to eat.

She went to kitchen to fetch something. Arnav gave a look to Khushi's childhood pic which was hanging on the wall. He smiled at the pic as she looked so cute with chubby cheeks.

Arnav felt someone's gaze on him. He turned his face swiftly to the direction of the window and saw someone was running from there. He rushed to the window and saw a woman in Burqa was running towards the compound wall and jumped over it in the empty land that was next to GH.
