Alistair is a very confident person. He's comfortable in his own skin, and always likes to show off. He's rather talkative and has a loud personality, which can either be seen as a positive or negative attribute. He's outgoing and friendly to everyone he meets. However, Alistair can be quite cocky at times. He's a little egotistical. Alistair never thinks things through, he always jumps into any impulse. Alistair loves to have fun, but he knows when he has to take things seriously, even if it might not seem like it. Alistair constantly makes sarcastic comments or lighthearted quips about any situation, it's his way of diffusing tension. Alistair is a person who runs from his problems instead of facing them, and he uses humor as a coping mechanism at times. However, he has a hard time coming to terms with problems and lacks the experience to handle them. Additionally, Alistair is very indecisive. He can't make important decisions on his own and usually lets others take the lead. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have his own opinions. Alistair was born in the slums of Eirlan. His father left when he was only three, leaving his mother to work dead end jobs to support the both of them. He never grew up with much, but he tried to make the most out of what he had. When he was sixteen, his mother caught an illness and ended up dying. He was taken in by a man who was an army officer and his wife, they took care of him. The army officer taught Alistair to use a sword, which was natural to the boy. When he was 18, he left their home to go off on his own, doing mercenary to earn money. Alistair made a name for himself in that community, as he was efficient and a skilled fighter.
