Mia

Despite how worried I was, I kind of wanted to see this fight for a while.

I know Lucas has always been easily stronger than Lucy, but after her time training here, she seemed more serious about what was going on around her.

With the two of them being family, maybe I should've tried a bit harder to stop them, but I knew there was no stopping them now.

Lucy and Lucas stood on opposite ends of the training ground, Lucas already holding his twin pistols while Lucy held her dagger with the Rope of Aphrodite tied to the handle.

The world around us suddenly began to change. I was told that the training grounds could morph into any environment to allow for better training.

As for why they chose this....

We were now standing on the top of the wall surrounding Mytho-Academy. I could see everything from the school up here, which made me kind of homesick. I could even feel the wind as if we were really there.

Lucas: "I won't even give you the chance to back out, you've had this coming for a long time. You need to realize this isn't your world"

Lucy: "It's way too late to say it isn't my world. I've been living it for over a year. It may have only felt like a month to you, but I've spent every single day training and studying mythology so I can be on par with all of you"

Lucas just glared at her.

In a split second, Lucas raised his gun and shot a bullet straight toward Lucy.

Mia: "LUCY!!!!!"

My cry may have been a bit late, as by the time I had gotten it out, Lucy had swung her dagger and cut the bullet down.

She lashed out, tossing her dagger straight towards Lucas, who sidestepped. She immediately slammed her hand against the rope, causing a shockwave on the rope to bend where the blade was, causing it to swipe inward from behind Lucas. He knew it was coming and jumped over it before the blade came back to Lucy's hand.

Lucas: "At least you have some basic combat skills"

Lucy didn't even bother responding, she rushed in, twirling her rope around with the knife on the end. Every movement was fluid, causing strike after strike of her blade from all different directions. Lucas managed to block most of them with the barrels of his guns, but one cut landed on his cheek. Blood ran down his cheek.

His body began to glow a dark shadowy aura.

Lucas: "That's it..."

He held his hand out and hundreds of souls appeared in the air. He closed his fist and they all morphed into spears like his own.

Lucas: "Take this!!"

All of the soul spears launched themselves at Lucy, however she started running. I forgot she had the Shoes of Hermes, letting her run super fast and gain enhanced reflexes in her legs. She weaved, dodged, outran, and sometimes parried the spears, faster than I could ever imagine for a human.

Mia: "H-How is she able to keep up with all that?!"

Bella: "We gave her two new magic items during her stay here to even the playing field. The first, The Eyes of Horus. They're a pair of contact lenses that give her the sight of Horus, like an eagle. She can perceive those attacks fast enough to counter them"

Adrian: "What's the second item?"

Bella: "See that belt around her waist? That's the Pouch of Loki. The belt has multiple pouches that can form anything the wearer desires, as long as it isn't magic of course. She can however store magic items inside to call upon. She just can't make any new magic items appear"

Mia: "So not only did she go through the training... She's also using multiple magic items to make up for her lack of a Demigod's enhanced abilities..."

I smirked.

Mia: "I thought she was absolutely helpless"

Adrian: "Why?"

Mia: "I love her, but she was stupid back in school. I was the ace student while she was barely passing. I... never expected anything like this"

Brittany: "Take a close look, this is what she's dedicated a year of her mortal life to achieving. You losers better appreciate it"

Lucy reached into a pouch on her belt and pulled out a small pellet. She threw it at Lucas's feet, creating a large puff of smoke to surround him.

Sadly for her, that wouldn't keep her hidden. Lucas was able to see souls. Even if she could physically hide herself, her soul was easily detectable.

He fired hundreds of shadow bullets straight at Lucy. She swung and twirled her dagger by the rope like crazy. Cutting down every single bullet.

Lucas formed his soul spear and charged in, realizing long range wasn't going to work. They grew locked in close quarter combat, Lucy parrying and blocking any attack Lucas could throw at her.

For once, Lucas saw what Lucy was truly capable of.

But all it took was a single scratch.

Lucas's spear tip grazed Lucy's thigh, which made her flinch for a split second. That's all he needed to slam the shaft of the spear straight into her side, sending her flying back almost to the edge of the wall. I knew it was just an illusion, or... maybe it wasn't.

Mia: "Something's wrong, are you normally supposed to feel wind?"

I looked over and saw Bella's eyes grow wide.

Bella: "No... We're not in Alfheim anymore..."

Lucas held up his spear to Lucy's neck.

Lucas: "Give me the dagger, Lucy. You have no idea what you're wielding. Give it to me now or I'll take it"

Lucy managed to sit up and spit on his shoe.

Lucy: "G-Go to hell..."

Lucas: "Fine..."

He raised his spear.

Yuna: "Lucy!!!!"

Yuna vanished in a flash of lightning and appeared between Lucy and Lucas, blocking his soul spear with her katana.

Yuna: "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Lucas: "Get out of my way, we need that dagger"

Yuna: "She's the one it was given to, she has every right to use it!"

Lucas: "Get out of my way or I'll cut you down too"

Her eyes grew wide with pain.

Yuna: "You know what..."

Her body began to spark with pink electricity.

Yuna: "I can't believe I ever had feelings for you. I tried to look past all that, hoping you were just keeping your emotions in check..."

Her body grew covered in a veil of pink flames.

Yuna: "But you're just the worst!! I can't believe you're even related to Lucy!! You're just... you're just a monster!!!!"

The wind suddenly died down. Everything grew silent. I looked around and nothing seemed to be moving. The clouds in the sky had fully stopped.

Lucas: "A monster... huh..."

He lowered his spear.

Lucas: "That's all you people have to say about me... Monster monster monster...."

His body became enveloped in a dark aura, the darkest I've ever seen.

Lucas: "None of you... know anything..."

I felt something shift in the air pressure around us.

Mia: "We— W-We have to stop this!!"

Bella's eyes were wide in shock.

Bella: "T-This can't... no... I didn't foresee this..."

Mia: "W-What?!"

Bella: "Lucas.... He's...."

Lucas's eyes suddenly began glowing a cold, pale blue.

My heart stopped.

I thought back to my last conversation with Seth when I made the deal. Something in my head just clicked.

Seth: "One of you is a traitor"

Mia: "N-No..."

Lucas: "Give me the dagger... now"

Mia: "Lucy!! Get away from him!!"

The dark aura started to turn the shade of nearly dried blood. Powerful winds radiated off of him like he was the center of a hurricane.

Lucas: "The dagger!! Give it to me!!"

Yuna ran straight for Lucas. The two clashed weapons, creating a shockwave of power. Lightning struck the ground while fire made the air hot around us.

Idril: "L-Lucas!! Stop please!!"

He didn't even glance at us.

Lucas: "Give it to me!!!"

Yuna: "No way!!!"

Her eyes glowed a bright pink, trying to use her emotion manipulation on him, however the males in the Yukari family are known to resist the charms of Aphrodite.

Instead, an intense pressure of pure fear pushed down on all of us. Lucas used his fear manipulation to make Yuna literally fall to her knees, trembling with fear. She tried to resist, but he slammed his foot into her side, sending her flying back.

I then heard a voice behind me.

Sky: "I've had enough..."

She vanished from sight the second I turned to look. I heard a clash and turn back to see Sky holding her Egyptian sword, clashing with Lucas's soul spear.

Sky's eyes were no longer blue, but chaotic yellow.

Sky: "The hell do you think you're doing... attacking your family!!"

Mia: "Sky...!! He's not... H-He's working with Seth!!!!!"

No one spoke a word.

Lucas: "For someone who's so smart, you took your sweet time"

He vanished into his own shadow, reappearing twenty feet away.

Lucy: "N-No... Lucas..."

She gripped her dagger.

Lucy: "How long... How long have you been working with that monster?!!"

Lucas: "It's not important"

I grew sharp claws on the end of my fingers, ready to charge in, however Adrian somehow managed to hold me back.

Mia: "YOU FUCKING TRAITOR!!!!!!!!"

I struggled in Adrian's arms.

Mia: "YOU'RE WORKING WITH THE GOD WHO KILLED MOM!!!!!!!"

Lucas's expression didn't change at all.

Mia: "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!!!! YOU'RE DEAD YOU MONSTER!!!!!!!"

Lucas looked down at the ground.

Lucas: "Every time I hear that word... something inside me cracks..."

His shadow aura became even larger.

Lucas: "Crack after crack after crack...."

His eyes glowed a brighter blue.

Lucas: "Until finally... I shatter..."

The aura finally exploded from his body, creating winds so power it almost knocked us all off the wall.

Lucas: "YOU WANT TO CALL ME A MONSTER?! I'LL SHOW YOU A MONSTER!!!!!"

His the aura around him began to form something monstrous. At first, it was just a massive ball of shadows, however four long legs grew out from it, followed by a long tail. Dark wings formed out the back while a dragon head formed in the front. After a few short seconds, Lucas stood in the center of a dragon made purely off of darkness. It gripped the sides of the wall and let out a terrifying roar that shook the wall.

The dragon swiped at Sky right as she turned her sword into a beautiful golden scythe with a blood red blade. She used the shaft of the scythe to block the attack, however it still sent her flying into the air.

Idril: "Sky!!!!"

She flipped in mid air, not smiling.

Sky: "Apophis!!!"

Her body seemed to turn into slime like it did when she fought Ares, however instead of it just being blue, it turned black and red. The slime then began to expand, growing larger and larger in mid air. I quickly realized the slime had grown into a large serpent.

The top part of it was a pitch black and the under part was blood red. It had long spikes running down its body. The snake itself was so long that the end of its tail was sticking out from the clouds. Its razor sharp fangs could pierce the toughest metals and its mouth could likely bite a giant hole in our wall.

Sky had turned into Apophis!!

The serpent let out a bone chilling hiss as it plummeted down to face off against Lucas's shadow dragon. The dragon stood on its hind legs and grabbed ahold of the serpent, attempting to rip it in half. It succeeded, however the two pieces of Apophis simply mended back together like slime.

While all this happened, the rest of us could only watch in horror.

Mia: "T-This can't be happening"

Bella: "This... this is not what I saw in his future. Something must have been clouding my vision"

Yuna: "We have to stop this!!"

Adrian: "I-I don't think we can"

I ran over to Lucy, who was beaten up but definitely not injured too bad. Though she was crying.

Lucy: "No... Lucas... no...!!"

I held her in my arms.

Mia: "Lucy, it's okay..."

I knew it was complete bull, I was crying too.

Sky and Lucas clashed in the sky when the dragon flapped its wings and took off. Every collision created a shockwave of darkness and chaos.

For some reason, Mytho-Academy didn't seem to be on high alert at all. The Gods would've sensed the battle easily, yet not a single God or Demigod had come to see.

It was then that I realized Lily was nowhere to be seen.

I looked over at Idril.

Mia: "Can you stop time?"

Idril: "I-I can try, but it may not last for very long, a few seconds at most"

Mia: "That's all I need"

Before she could even reach for her rune stone, Lucas came flying out of his dragon avatar, crashing down to the top of the wall. He didn't take much damage, since he faded into a shadow at the last second.

He appeared not too far from us, however when I looked back up, I saw it wasn't Sky who had knocked him down, it was Lily.

She flew straight down towards him. I thought she was going to slam into him, but she stopped a few inches from his face. For once, I could see emotion from Lily's face. Nothing but pure pain.

Lily: "You... you're working with..."

Lucas: "Yes"

Her eyes started glowing red.

Lily: "All this time... have I just been some big joke to you?! All that stuff you said to me, was it just a lie?!"

He spoke without hesitation.

Lucas: "Yes"

I didn't know it was possible to step back while floating, but she managed it. Her face filled with shock and sadness.

Lucas: "Go to Lucy. She's your Master now"

She didn't realize it, but a ball of soul energy formed in his hand and blasted her back. Luckily, Terran jumped up and caught her.

Terran: "I had a bad feeling about you from the start..."

Sky had left her Apophis avatar and jumped down next to us.

Lucy stood up, slowly limping towards Lucas.

Lucy: "I... I seriously can't believe you..."

She gripped her shirt, right over her chest.

Lucy: "Do you have any idea what you're doing?! Y-You're fighting with the same God who killed Aunt Emiko...!! The same God who took over Dad's body and wants us all dead!!"

Tears ran down my face.

Lucy: "Look me in my eyes and tell me you betrayed your family!!!!!!"

Lucas stared into Lucy's eyes.

Lucas: "I betrayed my family. I betrayed you, Mom, Dad, Aunt Emiko, and all of you"

He pointed his gun at Lucy.

Lucas: "Now give me the dagger"

She clutched it in her hand.

Lucy: "Go to hell... Go to the deepest pits of whatever's worse than Tartarus, Hellheim, and Ammit's Stomach!!!! You'll have to kill me before I give it to you!!!!"

Lucas: "So be it"

???: "Now now, that's quite enough~"

From Lucas's shadow, Seth formed. He wasn't in Connor's body, so he was back to his weird jackal like self. His boney, decaying face still shook me.

Seth: "Well! I would say it's a pleasure to see you all again, but it's not"

He pointed his sharp claw straight at Lucy.

Seth: "You, the dagger, now"

Lucas: "She already said over her dead body.

Seth: "That can be arranged~ I grow weary of all this waiting. I haven't had a decent fight since your parents~"

His body exploded with a chaotic blue aura.

Seth: "Lucy and Mia, your souls are due~"

Faster than we could react, his razor sharp claws were already at Lucy's throat and my face. The sheer fear that filled my head paralyzed me. Then I realized he wasn't moving any closer.

Sky: "You're not cute and petable at all..."

Sky had her twin daggers piercing his arms, preventing him from getting any closer. Her eyes glowed bright yellow.

Seth: "Ah! You must be Scarlet~"

Sky upped her strength and pushed Seth back.

Sky: "Don't call me that"

Seth smirked, showing off his fangs.

Seth: "Lucas told me all about you, the Gods's Ace in the Hole! I would be impressed if you weren't so short"

Sky began to glow a dark red aura.

Sky: "Oh... you're definitely not getting pets now..."

Her daggers merged to form her scythe. She dashed in, attempting to slice Seth's head off. He weaved out of the way and began a close combat battle with Sky, blade clashing against claw.

We watched in amazement, Sky was keeping up with Seth no problem. She was even starting to get the upper hand.

Seth: "Yes!! This is more like it!!!"

He began cackling like a psycho, his strikes getting faster and stronger by the second. After a bit, I could see Sky was slowing down.

I bet her fight with Lucas had already drained her pretty bad, but this was pushing her limits.

Seth: "You know... now that I think of it... you look familiar!!"

Sky: "I didn't think you would be the same God... but now that I know it's you... the one who took her..."

Her body exploded with a new source of power.

Pure rage.

Sky: "I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!"

Despite the new power she had, Seth was matching blow for blow. I didn't know what they were talking about, but I pushed that to the back of my mind for now.

Adrian formed a bunch of ice shards and launched them at Seth, however his chaos aura destroyed them before they could reach him.

Seth: "I wonder how much longer you can take!!"

Seth looked right at Idril.

Seth: "I remember you~"

Sky: "Don't touch her!!!!!!"

She swung her scythe so hard and fast that Seth couldn't react in time. His body was sliced in half.

Seth's body laid in two pieces by Lucas.

Idril: "S-Sky, you did it!!"

I couldn't blame her, since she hasn't seen Seth in action before. But the rest of us knew it wasn't even close to over.

Seth's upper half suddenly began to move, grabbing ahold of his lower half and pulling it back on. His body mended itself completely. He stood up, twisting his body around like he was stretching.

Seth: "That was unpleasant"

Sky: "H-How"

Seth smirked.

Seth: "Chaos against chaos just creates more chaos~"

He extended his claws.

Seth: "Now... I think I'll start with the shapeshifter!!"

???: "The hell you will!!!!"

A massive eagle flew over our heads before transforming into my Mom, Himari.

Himari: "SETH!!!!!"

She thrusted her hands out and the gems on the ends of her bracelets shot out, connected to the bracelets with thin chains. They slammed into Seth with enough force to send him flying back.

Mia: "M-Mom!!!"

She looked back at me, smiling and tears forming in her eyes.

Himari: "You are in so much trouble young lady! But that can wait, I need all of you to get back!"

Seth was already back on his feet, ready to attack once again.

A powerful bolt of lightning struck him, leaving him stunned and seriously damaged. His already decayed face and just lost a few more inches of skin. A burst of yellow flames gave him no time to recover. To douse the flames, a massive wave of water crashed into him before the water froze over, encasing Seth in ice.

Himari: "Glad you all got my text"

Yuna's Moms, Siyika and July ran up from the left of us while Adrian's parents, Kaito and Frostine came from the right.

Siyuka: "Yuna, you're grounded. Now get over here!!"

Yuna immediately ran to her Moms who pulled her into a tight hug. Adrian's parents did the same for him while Mom ran up to hug me.

Himari: "I know you get your mischievous nature from both me and Emi, but please don't do anything like that again!"

I couldn't keep myself from crying into her shoulder.

I didn't realize it until then, but I saw Angel rise up from Lucas's shadow like a Demon.

Angel: "Lucas... what did you do..."

He didn't even look back at her.

Lucas: "What I had to"

Angel: "Why...? Just... tell me why..."

Lucas: "I can't"

Angel: "You know that doesn't cut it..."

Lucas: "It's what you're getting"

Angel's aura grew dark like her son's.

Angel: "I don't think you understand the severity of the situation you're in"

He finally turned to face her.

Lucas: "I understand it fully"

Angel smacked him so hard across the face that he stumbled back.

Angel: "This is not my son!! This is not the son I raised!!!"

Lucas: "Then maybe you should've kept me away from the darkness instead of letting me embrace it"

With that, Seth shattered his ice prison.

Seth: "Well, it would seem the whole gang's here. Continuing now would simply be a waste"

He looked over at Lucas.

Seth: "Let's go"

Lucas nodded, but Angel grabbed his wrist.

Angel: "You're not going anywhere!"

Lucas: "Mom..."

He looked up at her.

Lucas: "Get your hand off of me"

His other hand held his shadow pistol, which he shot straight into Angel's arm. She recoiled and grabbed her arm.

Lucas quickly got to Seth's side.

Seth: "It has been fun, but I must be going. I will be back for what is rightfully mine~"

Before they could vanish, Lucy screamed out.

Lucy: "LUCAS!!!!!!"

She looked him dead in the eyes.

Lucy: "You better fucking hide... Because the next time I see you, you're dead"

He completely ignored her and looked over at Lily, who was just now regaining consciousness.

Lily: "L-Lucas...."

Lucas: "Be ready"

He then looked at Lucy and formed a finger gun pointed at Lucy's forehead, lowering his thumb to mean he fired the gun.

With that, the two of them faded into their own shadows.
