Lucas

We spent about a week with the Amazons, recovering from our battle with them. Honestly, the only person who needed more time to recover was Mia, who had gotten a hole in her stomach.

During the time, I decided to go to a makeshift shooting range every day to sharpen my skills. I fired off a few bullets, hitting bullseyes each time. Not a single bullet missed.

Lily: "Now do it with your eyes closed"

I looked up at Lily, who was hovering over me upside down, as usual. She had completely recovered due to Idril's healing sessions, however she didn't seem the same after what was told to us. She was secluded before it, but it was rare to even hear her talk anymore.

Lucas: "If I was shooting live targets, I could. I can sense souls, even with my eyes closed"

I fired off a few more bullets until she spoke.

Lily: "Do you see one in me?"

I turned to her.

Lucas: "Of course I do"

Lily: "Are you certain?"

Lucas: "Yeah, why?"

Lily: "No reason"

She turned away.

Lily: "I... need to go lay down. I'll see you later"

She flew out of the room, which was definitely out of character. She always stayed by my side, even when it wasn't convenient, like in the shower.

I wiped up some sweat from my forehead and drank from my water bottle. As I left the room, I saw a few Amazons scowling at me. Normally, I would think it was because I was male. But then I heard them whisper under their breath.

Amazon: "Monster"

It took everything I had not to blow her brains out right there.

I walked to Sky's room, who I hadn't really talked to since we had gotten here. I knocked on the door and she opened it, however she was all sweaty.

Lucas: "You got a sec?"

Sky: "Uhhhh... yeah, give me a sec!"

She closed the door and I heard Idril giggling from inside before a few noises I wish I could forget. Then, Sky came out and closed the door behind her.

Sky: "What's up, emo boy?"

Lucas: "We need to talk"

Sky's ears perked up.

Sky: "Is it about it?"

I nodded.

Sky: "Alright, let's go outside"

The two of us walked through the compound, with Amazons eying up Sky. She wasn't helping by winking and flirting back. I had to grab her hood to keep her walking forward.

When we finally got outside of the compound, we found ourselves coming out of a steel door built into the side of a hill in the Japanese country side.

Sky: "So what do you want to know?"

Lucas: "What exactly is your relationship to The Destroyer?"

Sky: "Like I said before, me and a group of my old friends had prevented its revival back in medieval times. So it holds a grudge"

Lucas: "That's not it. That thing seems to seriously hate you, more than the rest of us"

Sky: "Because I'm a serious threat"

Lucas: "How so?"

Sky: "It underestimated me. It thought me and my group were weak, unable to do anything to stop it. We showed it that we were more than strong enough. An immortal being holds grudges longer than you think"

I nodded.

Lucas: "How's Apophis?"

Sky: "Hiding in the corner of my mind, he's a pussy~"

Lucas: "I can't believe you just called Apophis that"

Sky: "He's a deadbeat!"

Lucas: "And I think he's scared of you"

Sky: "Fu fu~! That's right!~"

I smirked.

Sky: "Did you just smile?! I think Hell froze over!!"

Lucas: "At first, I thought you were annoying and a complete pervert. Well... you still are. But you've really come through for us. You've saved Idril from Ares and saved all of us from Apophis's hold on me"

Sky: "What are you trying to say~?"

Lucas: "I'm saying thank you"

She smiled, sincerely this time.

Sky: "It feels good to be part of a team again. The centuries I've spent in Tartarus really messed with me. I had everything I could ever want, but no one really formed a connection with me. After losing everyone I used to know... it was rough for a while"

Her ears drooped a bit.

Sky: "I felt alone and powerless. But now... I feel loved. Not just by Idril, but by all of you. I guess almost dying a few times forms a connection"

Lucas: "Whatever you say"

I placed my hand on her shoulder.

Lucas: "I have one warning for you though..."

Sky: "What?"

Lucas: "Make any moves on my sister and I'll pump you full of lead"

Sky: "Is she hot~?"

Lucas: "I can't believe you..."

I walked past her.

Lucas: "Later tonight, we're gonna have a meeting to discuss what we do next. Make sure everyone is there"

Sky: "Got it!~"

I walked back into the compound, then into my room. I shut the door behind me and locked it.

I saw the letter Seth had given me. Mia had gotten it from Seth during their meeting, but I didn't have the courage to open it until now.

Lucas: "It could be a trap..."

I picked up the letter.

Lucas: "Yeah right..."

I opened the letter to see what was written inside.

Yuna

What a bitch!!!

Adora: "Every word I said, I meant. The only reason you're not dead is because Andra told me not to"

Yuna: "Screw you too!!"

We sat in the dining area, even though I sat down first, she sat down second and had the nerve to complain that I was sitting near her.

Adora: "Your mother killed my father, so the first chance I get, I'll take something from her"

My body began to spark with pink electricity.

Yuna: "You can try"

Her body began giving off a massive amount of heat.

Adora: "I won't just try, I'll succeed"

Suddenly, we heard Hali the water girl speaking loudly into her phone while streaming.

Hali: "Good to see you all again!!~ I'm Hali and this is the Demigod Beatdown!~ Today, we've got two Demigods in the Amazon Compound dining hall who are about to duke it out! Who will come out on top, the fiery hot Adora or the shockingly sexy Yuna!~"

At the same time, both Adora and I punched Hali in the face, sending her to the ground. For some reason, she chose not to turn into water.

This punch led to a few Amazons coming over and restraining both Adora and me.

Amazon: "Quit your fighting!"

Yuna: "She started it!!"

Suddenly, I heard someone yell.

Andra: "Enough!!"

We all turned and saw Andra standing at the doorway to the dining hall.

Andra: "Adora, I will talk with you later. To your barracks"

Adora scowled at me, however she walked out of the room.

Andra: "Yuna, come"

I walked out of the dining hall with her.

Andra: "I know you and Adora don't get along, but please try not to fight"

Yuna: "She's the one with a problem with me. She's taking out our family's past on me"

She sighed.

Andra: "I had a feeling that would happen when I sent her to take care of you specifically..."

Yuna: "Why does she believe Surtr was murdered like that? She didn't believe me when I told her he had tried to destroy Mytho-Academy"

Andra: "Adora is a confused girl, she has grown up alone for the most part. It was only a year ago that we found her and took her in"

Yuna: "What happened to her mom?"

Andra: "Suicide"

Yuna: "Oh..."

She patted me on the back.

Andra: "Even I have told her the truth, but she refuses to believe it. She's angry and confused, but I believe she'll understand in time"

Yuna: "I hope..."

As we walked, we passed the infirmary, where we saw Adrian talking to Mia, who was still in bed.

I saw tits, so I knew Mia was in girl mode today.

Yuna: "Mia!!"

I ran in and hugged her tightly.

Yuna: "I'm glad you're okay!!"

Mia: "O-Ow!! Y-Yuna! Take it easy!"

Andra pulled me off of her.

Andra: "I've been informed that she will recover within a few more days. Between your elf friend's healing and our medicine, she will be as good as new"

Adrian bowed to her.

Adrian: "Thank you so much, Miss Andra"

She looked at Mia.

Andra: "Are you sure he's not a girl?"

Adrian: "I-I'm not!!"

Andra smiled.

Andra: "I'm not usually a fan of men, but you're an exception, Adrian. You have my respect for protecting Mia"

He blushed a bit and looked away.

Adrian: "T-Thank you"

She straightened up a bit, getting more of a serious tone.

Andra: "Tonight, we will have a meeting to discuss our next plan of action. Unfortunately, Mia will not be able to take part in it due to her current condition"

Mia: "That's okay, Adrian will fill me in"

Andra: "Yuna, Adrian, please report to my throne room in an hour"

We nodded and she walked out of the room.

Yuna: "Now that you're awake, I have to make this joke"

I smirked.

Yuna: "Shot through the heart—"

Adrian immediately threw an ice cube at me.

Adrian: "Knock it off"

Yuna: "Fine~ But I am glad you're doing okay. If you need anything, let me know"

Adrian: "Thank you"

I walked out of the room and decided to just go into my room. It wasn't much, just a bed, desk, and dresser. There was one outlet to charge my phone, but that was it.

I sat down at my desk and pulled my phone out. I opened my photos and saw a selfie I had taken with Lucy back in Japan. I didn't realize it until I saw a tear land on my screen that I was crying.

I'm supposed to be the top student in Mytho-Academy, but I couldn't even safe my girlfriend...

I didn't know if it would be safe to call, but I didn't care at this point. I dialed up Mom's number and hoped she would answer.

Siyuka: "Yuna?"

Yuna: "H-Hey Mom"

Siyuka: "What the hell?! Why did you run off like that?! You've had me and July really worried!!"

Yuna: "I-I know, but we couldn't sit around anymore. We left to find Lucy"

Siyuka: "Did you find her?"

Yuna: "Not yet, but we have an idea of where she is"

Siyuka: "That's good. We can send a group to come get you guys and Lucy"

Yuna: "No, we've got this"

Siyuka: "After the way you stormed out? The Gods have a bounty out for you right now. You'll be punished pretty bad when you get back. You're gonna really get it"

Yuna: "That doesn't matter to me"

Siyuka: "It should!! You could get kicked out of the school for this! Do you have any idea what kind of punishments the Gods dish out?!"

Yuna: "I can't just sit around and do nothing!! I finally know where my girlfriend is after a full month and now you're telling me to let someone else handle it?! That's not the kind of person I am and you know this!! If you were in my position when you were my age, I know you would've done the same as me!!"

There was a long pause.

Siyuka: "You're right..."

Yuna: "M-Mom"

Siyuka: "No, you're right. When I was your age, I did all kinds of stuff that pissed the Gods off. I didn't exactly grow up with parents, so I'm sorry I've never been too good of a mother, but I'll support you in whatever you need"

Yuna: "Don't say that... You've been an amazing mother... the best in the world"

I could hear Mom tearing up.

Siyuka: "I love you, Sweetie..."

Yuna: "I love you too... I promise I'll come home safe"

Siyuka: "If there's anything you need, please let me know"

Yuna: "Actually... there is one thing"

Siyuka: "Name it"

Mia

Adrian: "Mia... I'm sorry..."

Mia: "Why?"

Adrian: "I couldn't protect you... even after I gave my oath..."

I reached my hand out and cupped his cheek.

Mia: "You did everything you could. That's all I can ask of you"

Adrian: "But everything I could wasn't enough..."

Mia: "Then... maybe it's time you tried to learn to use your water abilities"

His eyes grew wide with fear.

Adrian: "I... I can't..."

Mia: "You can't keep your fear from letting you learn what you were born with"

Adrain: "You know why I'm scared..."

This is a secret only me and his parents know. When he was younger, he went to a public pool in the mortal world when his powers first awakened. Sadly, he couldn't control it and he ended up drowning someone. Ever since, he's held that over his head. It's put a mental block over his water powers.

Adrian: "I don't like water... it's so wild and unpredictable... Ice is easy to manipulate, it has a form that can be changed to how I like"

He held out his hand and formed a perfect ice figure of me, which I'll admit made me blush.

Adrian: "I'm scared that if I try... I'll hurt one of you..."

Mia: "You're forgetting that I can shapeshift, I can give myself gills. You can't drown me"

Adrian: "That's not the point...!!"

I grabbed his hand and pulled him down next to me in my bed. I then wrapped my arms around him.

Mia: "You'll have to learn sometime. I know you're afraid of what'll happen, but you won't know what will happen until you try. If you don't try, you'll always fail"

He buried his face into my chest.

Adrian: "W-Will you help...?"

I rubbed the back of his head.

Mia: "Of course, but I'm not sure how good of a teacher I'll be"

Adrian: "You'll be amazing"

Mia: "Oh~? Does little frosty have a teacher kink~?"

Adrian: "W-What?!"

Mia: "I think you do~"

He blushed wildly and tried to get out of my arms.

Mia: "Nuh uh~ You're not getting away that easily~"

I kissed him on the lips.

Mia: "How about this, when all this is over, I'll give you a little treat~"

Adrian: "H-Huh?"

Mia: "Just hope I'm not a boy for it~"

I winked at him, making him blush more.

Sky

Later that night, we had all gathered together in Andra's throne room, which I remember spending a lot of time in, however it wasn't the same one. I guess she had a throne room in every compound, the dominatrix~

Andra: *tugs on Sky's ear*

Sky: "I'M SORRY!!! I won't call you that again!!!"

She sat on her throne while the rest of us stood.

Andra: "Thank you all for coming. Even though Mia is absent, she is out due to medical issues. So she will not be taking part in this mission"

Adrian seemed a bit worried over that.

Andra: "Lucy is currently being held at Mythical University, under the watchful eye of Hayu, the school's principal and leader. Rest assured that she is safe and being taken care of. The Amazons are on good terms with the school, so entering should be child's play. Getting all of you in however will be a challenge"

Lucas: "I'll take three people via shadow travel. Lily can float, so she'll be fine. The other two will probably be Yuna and Adrian"

He looked over at Idril and me.

Lucas: "You two will have to find your own way in"

Sky: "I can talk my way into anywhere"

Yuna: "How?"

Sky: "As long as there are girls who are bi curious, I can get in there—"

Idril grabbed ahold of my ear and tugged.

Idril: "Will you please show some respect?"

Sky: "Ow ow ow!!"

Andra: "They will be perfectly fine getting in. Once we are all in, you must lay low while I negotiate Hayu. We have been giving her information for a long time, so she will be likely to trust us"

Yuna: "What if they don't let her go?"

Andra: "Then we resort to force. However I hope it doesn't come to that"

Lucas: "When do we leave?"

Andra: "Tomorrow morning. Me and a few Amazons will go to the school while the rest of you sneak in. Once we can get our hands on that blade, we will decide on how to destroy it, prevent needless death"

She glanced over at Lily, who hadn't said a word.

Andra: "Any questions?"

No one spoke.

Andra: "Good. You should all get your rest, as I do not know what tomorrow will bring"

She dismissed us, so Idril and I headed back to our room. We decided to share since we, though we haven't told anyone yet, made it official~

WE ARE OFFICIALLY DATING!!!!!~

What? You're not surprised?

Was it when Lucas walked in on us that gave it away? Damnit emo boy!!!

As we walked, we passed the girl named Lexi, the wolf girl who had given Lily some trouble.

Heh~ Wolf vs Vampire~

As we passed, Lexi suddenly grabbed me and pinned me up against the wall.

Lexi: "I saw how strong you were fighting off that demon boy~"

I blushed a bit as her face was super close to mine.

Sky: "T-Thanks"

She leaned in closer, however could hear a small growling coming from her.

Lexi: "Strong and strong willed~ Oh how I would love to break that down~"

She licked her lips.

Suddenly, time froze around us and Idril pulled Lexi off of me.

Idril: "Hands off my Kitty"

Sky: "T-Thanks, I could see the sadist in her a mile away"

I leaned in close to her.

Sky: "So you can stop time~? You never told me. I wonder what lewd things you could do with that~"

She tugged on my ear again.

Idril: "Don't let other girls hit on you, meanie"

She pulled on my ear the whole way back to the bedroom. Then, she sat down on the bed, looking a little sad.

Idril: "I can't stop worrying about Lucy... I'm scared of what they could be doing to her"

Sky: "Andra said they wouldn't hurt her, and she's not the kind of person to lie"

Idril: "It's been over a month"

Sky: "You need to calm down a bit"

I walked over and rubbed her shoulders from behind.

Sky: "You're stressing yourself out"

She nodded.

Idril: "Y-You're right"

I leaned in and kissed her cheek.

Sky: "I'll try making some chocolate cake to cheer you up"

Idril: "P-Please don't burn down the kitchen again"

Sky: "I won't burn it down!! I'm responsible!"

Idril: "That's what you said last time"

I blushed a bit but walked out of the room, only to hear Idril giggle a bit as her elf tail swayed.

Lily

I kept hearing voices in my head.

???: "...Murderer..."

???: "...Traitor..."

???: "...Liar..."

I grabbed the sides of my head, trying to keep the voices out. They kept repeating over and over again until I felt someone grab my shoulder.

Lucas: "Lily, are you okay?"

I looked over at him as sweat dripped down my face. He was usually stoic and emotionless, however I saw genuine worry in his eyes.

It was only then that I realized I was in his room, laying down on his bed.

Lily: "I-I'm fine"

Lucas: "I know you're not"

I paused. I levitated up off of the bed.

Lily: "I... I'm remembering..."

Lucas: "The past cycles of life?"

Lily: "Each one... it's filling my mind..."

I thought back to my first experience with The Destroyer.

The first cycle ended naturally, The Destroyer erasing everything it had created just to start again. Not a single creature was left after that. Not one except me.

I was left floating alone in an empty abyss. No oxygen to breathe, no light to see, nothing to hear, smell, or touch. It was a void of pure nothingness.

That's when a voice boomed inside my head.

Destroyer: "After the infinite destruction and death I have inflicted upon my sandbox, you are the sole survivor"

I couldn't see who was talking, but the very voice made my skin crawl.

Destroyer: "This was a test run, more will follow. I faced resistance in the destruction of this time and they almost succeeded"

I suddenly was blinded by a bright red light. Then, another light lit up. Two more after it. Four red lights stared down at me, the only thing lighting up the darkness.

Destroyer: "Perhaps a little something to ensure my success if this next trial fails..."

A ring of fire surrounded me, lighting up whatever creature spoke to me. It was only then that I realized the lights were eyes.

I saw a sickeningly skinny and malnourished body, with black skin and long arms and legs. Claws sprouted out from the fingers and toes of this creature. A long tail with a sharp spike on the end protruded from its back. Its face didn't even have a mouth, just the four blazing red eyes.

Destroyer: "You shall be my everlasting catalyst"

It's long, skinny fingers and hands began moving towards me. I tried to get away, however I had nothing to use to get away.

Destroyer: "Do not struggle, you belong to me. You always have. Everything belongs to me"

A voice snapped me back to reality.

Lucas: "Lily"

I looked at him.

Lucas: "Maybe you should stay here"

Lily: "N-No, don't do that"

Lucas: "Why?"

Lily: "I... I can't be alone... no more... not again.. please..."

For the first time in a long time, I began crying. Lucas wrapped his arms around me, pressing my face into his chest.

Lucas: "You're not alone and you never will be. I promise"

I gripped his black hoodie.

Lily: "Why... why didn't you just let them kill me...? If I was dead, The Destroyer wouldn't be able to be set free at all"

Lucas: "Because you're important to me"

I looked up at him.

Lucas: "You know I'm not the most expressive of my emotions, but I really do care about you, Lily. You're annoying at times, but you're always there for me. You have my back whenever I need it. The least I can do is be there for you when you need it"

Lily: "I... I'm scared... I'm scared of what it'll do to you..."

Lucas: "It won't do anything"

I looked deep into his eyes.

Lucas: "I'll protect you until my dying breath"

I leaned up and gently pressed my lips against his.

For the first time in my existence, I finally found someone who could love me. Despite the trillions of lives lost that I've been the cause of, he looked past that. He didn't care about any of that. He just cared about me.

I always wondered what that felt like... I'm glad I was able to experience it...
