Mia

Mia: "C-Come on... k-keep it under control...."

I was in my dorm room in the bathroom, trying so hard to keep my shapeshifting in check. My body was trying to change again, like before right after Lucy was saved from Cerberus. My body kept resisting my will. I leaned over on the sink, looking into the mirror as I watched my body change.

Mia: "S-Stay.... Inside...!"

Finally, I managed to return my body to its normal state. My forehead was dripping with sweat, my body trembling.

Mia: "I... I-I think I need a shower..."

I hopped in the shower quick, which helped me calm down a bit. Afterwards, I changed into my pajamas and sat down on my couch. I pulled out my phone and started stalking Adrian.

Okay, before you say anything, I wasn't stalking him. I was just hacking into his phone to access his camera so I could see what he was up to.

...

Shut up!

So when I went to hack into his phone, the camera showed me what the phone would see. When the video finally came on, I saw him sitting on his couch, eating a cherry popsicle. His lips were red, as if he'd been wearing lipstick.

I wish I was there to tease him about that...

Suddenly, he sighed and started talking to himself.

Adrian: "Why does Mia have to tease me all the time... I want to hang out with her, but it's so difficult when she makes me blush every 5 seconds..."

He held out his hand and formed a small figure out of snow. It was an exact replica of me.

He made it disappear and leaned his head back on the couch.

Adrian: "I don't know what to do..."

He picked up his phone and started going through something, probably his photos. He stopped on one and smiled while blushing slightly. But then his smile faded.

Adrian: "Why am I so afraid to tell—"

Suddenly, my door opened and Terran ran inside. I quickly put my phone down before I could hear what Adrian was about to say.

Terran looked extremely panicked.

Mia: "What's wrong?"

Terran: "Sorry to burst into a girl's room, but the Gods need to see us, now"

Before I could even react, an explosion rang through my ears as the wall to my dorm room exploded, engulfing me in a fiery explosion.

Lucy

I awoke to Idril cuddling me extremely close, a little too close, but she looked so peaceful in her sleep. Her elf tail was wrapped around my waist, so I had no way of getting out. So I just sat there and kept her comfortable until she finally woke up.

She opened her eyes and blinked a few times before realizing how close our faces were. She blushed slightly and backed away.

Idril: "S-Sorry, Lucy. Good morning"

Lucy: "Morning, Idril"

I rubbed the top of her head before getting up and stretching. Then, I remembered last night with Terran. If only that could've lasted longer... it was just the two of us, alone, talking. I'm actually kind of glad at the same time it didn't last too long, it was only a matter of time I said something stupid and embarrassed myself.

I took a quick bath, with Idril helping me out. Still not my choice... but she insists. While in the bath, she ran her soapy hands up my back.

Idril: "You have a lot of bruises back here, I think Emiko's being a little too rough with you. Maybe I can talk to her..."

Lucy: "No, it's okay. I'm fine. The training is really helping"

I suddenly remembered Seth's deal. With his powers, why would I need to train with Emiko? But then I remembered that's what this whole school is about. Training people who have these types of powers.

Though I wondered what kind of powers I would get if I took his deal. Maybe storm manipulation, or maybe sand manipulation! I could be Gaara from Naruto!!

Sadly, I was still conflicted on what I should do. Should I accept the deal?

My thought process was interrupted when Idril got a little too close to a no-no spot.

Lucy: "I-Idril! I can do that part myself"

Idril: "It wouldn't be the first time I've done it, I've helped Lucas there too"

Lucy: "Not an image I needed in my head..."

Suddenly, Idril leaned away from me, since I was sitting in the bath chair in front of her.

Idril: "S-Sorry... I.... I just wanted to help...."

Her elf ears drooped down and she got a sad puppy dog look in her eyes.

Instantly, I regretted saying anything. Idril was too cute to be sad, it would make anyone fall for her.

Lucy: "F-Fine... you can clean it...."

Idril's ears perked up again.

Idril: "Thanks Lucy! I'll be sure to be extra thorough!"

I gulped, preparing myself for the most embarrassing part of my day.

But you're not going to see this, sorry my dear reader, but this isn't that kind of story.

After the bath and a delicious breakfast, I got ready to head over to the Roman coliseum to train with Aunt Emiko. However just as I was about to leave, I got a text from her.

Emiko: "Hey, sorry, but I won't be able to be at training today, something big came up. Take the day off, kid"

Lucy: "Oh, guess I don't have training today"

I suddenly got another text, from.... Oh no....

I called for Idril, who was in the kitchen cleaning the dishes from breakfast.

Lucy: "H-Hey Idril...."

Idril: "Yes? What's wrong?"

Lucy: "So.... Am I allowed to ignore the Goddess of Love if she sends me a text message saying to go to the Biology classroom?"

Idril: "N-No, you shouldn't"

Lucy: "Oh god... what am I going to do? Every time I'm around her, I can't even think straight"

Idril: "Maybe take someone with you who can help balance you out"

Lucy: "Balance me out?"

Idril: "Yeah, maybe some you li—"

I suddenly got an idea before she could finish.

Lucy: "I've got it! Thanks Idril!"

I ran over to her and gave her a big hug before leaving.

I arrived at Yuna's dorm, which was still the huge mansion. I had the key to the place, so I unlocked the door and walked in. I walked up to her room, and saw her sleeping at her desk. I walked over and looked at what she had on the table.

Seriously...

There was a bunch of... revealing... drawings of Lucas on her table. She was obviously drawing them, and if they weren't of my brother, I'd say she has a real talent for drawing.

I shook her shoulder to wake her up.

Lucy: "Hey, Yuna, wake up"

She gasped as she woke up.

Yuna: "L-Lucy? What are you doing here?"

Lucy: "I need some help, I've been summoned by Aphrodite and I need someone to help balance me out"

Yuna's face grew a slight pink.

Yuna: "Y-You mean...?"

Lucy: "Yeah, I was hoping you could use your emotion abilities to kind of balance me out, so I don't fall under Aphrodite's spells again"

Yuna: "O-Oh... Um... Yeah, I can help with that!"

She quickly got up and started getting dressed before I could leave. I quickly turned away so she could have some privacy. When she was done getting dressed, we left for the Biology classroom.

When we arrived, I was kind of mystified by the school itself. I'd only been to the History class, which was kind of out of the way of everything else. The Biology classroom was close to the center of the school, so I got to see everything else the main building had to offer.

The building took inspiration from all four mythology, which gave the place a real mythical look to it. When we finally got to the Biology room, it wasn't what I was expecting.

A typical Biology room would have pictures of animal's on the wall and diagrams of different living cells and all that. But this was crazy. It was more like a huge library, filled with bookshelves and hundreds to thousands of books filling them. There were floating candles that burned so bright that they managed to light the whole classroom. In the center of the room, all of the desks were lined up.

???: "Oh, hello there Darling~"

I suddenly heard a voice that made my legs turn into noodles. I looked over at the desk in front of a big chalk board and saw Aphrodite sitting at it. She looked so gorgeous it was almost enough to make me pass out. Thankfully, the second Yuna grabbed my hand, I immediately felt better.

I guess my plan was working after all! Her emotion manipulation was working!

Though I found it weird that she didn't have to look me in the eyes first like last time, but I decided not to question it.

Aphrodite: "It's so good to see you, Darling! Please, take a seat. We have much to discuss"

The two of us sat down in front of her desk. I could still feel her love aura spread over me, however Yuna was greatly lessening the effects.

Aphrodite: "How is my granddaughter doing, Yuna?"

Yuna: "She's good, though I'm constantly hearing noises from their room whenever I'm over"

Aphrodite: "Ah~ I knew they'd make a great couple. Do you have any idea who's dominant?"

Yuna: "It sounded like they were switching throughout the night"

....What is this conversation....?

Lucy: "So, um... why did you call me down here?"

Aphrodite: "I wanted to discuss something that I fear is long overdue. You are the first Mortal to ever enroll in, let alone enter, Mytho-Academy. And it would seem that the day you arrived here, things started to fall into place"

Lucy: "What do you mean?"

Aphrodite: "Whether it's been you or the school, Monsters have been attacking at random times. Most of these monsters are extremely powerful, not just something you would see walking around outside our walls. You, however, seem to be the main target of whoever's sending these monsters after you"

Lucy: "Why do they want me dead so badly?"

Aphrodite: "I do not know. If we knew, there would already be many plans in motion. There have been students that have been targeted by evil forces in the past, your father and aunt for example"

Lucy: "They were targeted too?!"

Aphrodite: "Oh yes. It feels just like yesterday when they first arrived. I knew immediately that your father had much potential. He was the first to ever resist my Godly charm~ I'm still trying to this day~"

Actual hearts started to fill her pupils as she started drooling a little.

Yuna: "Earth to great-grandma, are you in there?"

Lucy: "G-Great Grandma?!"

Aphrodite: "Our ancestry can get a little... complicated. My demigod daughter married another demigod, giving birth to July. And July is Yuna's mother. But that's probably not something you want to think about"

Aphrodite cleared her throat.

Aphrodite: "Back to the main issue, you're being targeted. If it were a Demigod, it would make more sense. But a mortal such as yourself shouldn't have been. I've been talking with your parents, and they think it may have something to do with—"

Suddenly, a large explosion rang through the school. Aphrodite vanished in a flash of golden light.

Yuna: "What was that?!"

Lucy: "Come on!"

The two of us ran out of the Biology classroom and outside of the main building. In the distance, over by the Norse wing, I could see smoke rising into the sky.

Panic suddenly shot through my body.

Lucy: "Oh my god!! Mia's in her dorm room!!"

The two of us rushed off for the Norse wing. When we finally arrived at where her dorm room was, the wall had been blown to pieces and a deep fire raged inside her room. The ceiling had collapsed as well.

Lucy: "Mia!!!"

From the rubble, a large cone of rock pushed the rubble away. The cone crumbled apart, revealing Terran and Mia hiding inside. They both had dirt all over them and their clothes were singed. Terran was holding Mia in his arms while she looked unconscious.

Yuna and I ran over and helped them out of the rubble and got them to safety. We sat them down in the grass.

Lucy: "W-What happened?!"

Terran: "T-There was an explosion, I just barely had enough time to encase us in a rock shield. B-But I don't know who did it"

Suddenly, I heard a voice from behind me.

???: "Looking for someone?"

I spun around and saw a boy standing a few feet away from us. However before I could get a good look at him, he vanished faster than I could blink.

Lucy: "They're still here!!"

Terran lifted his gem mace while Yuna formed her twin katana out of fire and lightning. I drew my dagger out of its sheath. Mia was still unconscious, so we formed a circle around her.

Terran: "I don't see anyone, are you sure?"

Lucy: "I heard him and I saw him for a split second"

Yuna: "He can't be far, keep your guard up"

???: "Won't do you much good, but you can try if you'd like"

I quickly turned around and saw the boy literally standing on top of Mia's unconscious body. He was also there long enough for me to get a good look at him.

He had very pale skin and dark hair that almost seemed to suck the light out of the air. His hair was messy and it covered one of his eyes. It was slightly long to the point where he could've had it in a ponytail. He wore a somewhat torn brown leather jacket that he left open. He wore a grey shirt underneath with a picture of a white crescent moon on it. He wore torn black jeans and white sneakers. He had dull grey eyes and had a dagger in his one hand. He was giving off this dark aura, kind of similar to Lucas.

Lucy: "Get away from her!!!!"

He looked down.

???: "Oh, my bad"

He suddenly disappeared and reappeared a few feet away.

???: "Sorry, didn't realize she was there"

He spoke in an emotionless tone that made me uneasy.

Terran: "Who are you?! Why did you attack us?!"

???: "I'm Kuragari. As for why I attacked you..."

He pointed at me.

Kuragari: "You need to come with me"

Terran and Yuna stepped in front of me protectively. He ran his fingers through his hair.

Kuragari: "Listen, the building blowing up was on accident, never meant for that to happen. I actually slowed the process down so the two of them would have enough time to protect themselves"

He held out his hand one more time. A ball of a black flame formed in his hand.

Kuragari: "I don't want any fighting, so please don't make me. Just come with me and everything will work out"

Lucy: "Take me where?"

Kuragari: "I cannot tell you, so please, just come with me"

Terran: "She's not going anywhere"

Yuna: "You'll have to go through us first"

Kuragari: "Come on, guys. I'm making this as simple as possible"

Terran: "We said no"

Kuragari: "Fine, if you insist"

He held his dagger with a downward grip. Before any of us could react in time, he appeared in front of Yuna and Terran. Their weapons were on the ground and the dagger was being held at Yuna's neck.

Kuragari: "I'll say this one more time. Hand her over"

Yuna: "Over my dead—"

He pressed the dagger against her neck, making a very small cut.

Kuragari: "I'd choose your words more carefully"

Lucy: "Yuna! Stop! I'll go with him!!"

Kuragari: "See? Was that so hard?"

He sheathed his dagger.

Kuragari: "Now I trust that you two will behave yourself now that—"

Terran immediately tried to punch Kuragari. But right before it could land, he vanished and appeared behind Terran.

Kuragari: "Guess not, well, can't say I didn't expect that"

He struck Terran on the back of his head with the handle of his dagger, knocking him out.

Lucy: "Terran!!"

Kuragari sighed.

Kuragari: "Guys, I'm not making this complicated"

Suddenly, something shot down at us with bullet like speed. It grazed Kuragari cheek. We all looked up at where it was fired from. On top of one of the dorm buildings, was Lucas and Lily. He was holding his shadow pistol which had smoke from just being fired.

Kuragari: "Another one? Come on, I'm not making this difficult, all of you are"

Lucas: "Get away from them, now"

Kuragari actually grew a slight grin.

Kuragari: "You've got some balls. You actually managed to surprise me and lay a blow on me. But thanks to you I'll have to get this scrape disinfected. That'll suck..."

He held his dagger up towards Lucas.

Kuragari: "But now that I know you're up there, that won't happen again"

Lucas: "We'll see"

Kuragari vanished from where we were standing and appeared behind Lucas. However before he could land a hit, Lucas turned and blocked the dagger with the barrel of his gun.

Kuragari: "Not bad, definitely better than those people down there. Maybe you'll actually make being here interesting"

Lucas: "Go to hell"

Lucas formed another pistol in his other hand and shot at Kuragari point blank. However the bullet missed when Kuragari vanished again.

Lucy: "How is he vanishing like that?!"

Yuna: "Super speed, maybe teleportation, I'm not sure"

While Lucas was keeping Kuragari at bay, Lily was just floating there, watching.

Yeah, don't help or anything!!

Kuragari managed to scrape Lucas's arm, blood soaking into his black hoodie.

Kuragari: "Payback's a bitch, isn't it"

Kuragari appeared in front of Lucas and kicked him back. Lucas landed right in front of Lily.

Lily: "He's beating your butt"

Lucas: "Really? I couldn't tell"

Lily: "How could you not tell?"

Lucas: "Did sarcasm not exist back before you were sealed away?"

Lily: "Sarcasm? I think I had one of those once"

Lucas: "You— never mind"

Lily turned so she was laying on her back while floating.

Lucas: "Whenever you'd like to help, that would be great"

Lily: "You want me to help?"

Lucas: "No, I want you to just stand there and watch. Yes I want you to help!!"

Lily: "As Master commands"

Lucas: "Stop calling me that!!"

Lily floated in front of Lucas. She then faced Kuragari.

Lily: "Leave now or die a gruesome and painful death"

Lily's eyes suddenly went sharp like daggers. Her pupils turned into slits like that of a snake. Her blood red eyes started glowing slightly as fangs started to show from inside her mouth.

Kuragari: "You're acting like I just killed your best friend. All I want is for her to come with me. A simple request and I get all of this resistance. I never wanted to fight, but you had to make things difficult"

Kuragari flipped his dagger into the air and caught it by the handle. The blade of the dagger began to emit some kind of shadowy aura.

Kuragari: "Last chance before things get bloody"

Lily stayed silent.

Kuragari: "Okay, just remember that you asked for it"

Kuragari appeared directly in front of Lily, shoving the dagger straight into Lily's shoulder. Fear and panic shot through Lucas's veins.

Lucas: "LILY!!!!!"

Lily suddenly grabbed the wrist of the arm holding the dagger. Kuragari tried to pull his hand back but he couldn't get free from her grip. She looked deep into his eyes as the glowing in her eyes began to increase.

Lily: "Rot in hell, sinner"

With a single movement, Lily slammed her fist into Kuragari's stomach, sending him flying extremely high into the sky. I looked up to see him falling back down to the ground. However before he could crash to the ground, something flew across the sky and caught him mid air.

On a closer look, I saw what had caught him.

It was a girl a little older than him, maybe a few years older than the rest of us. She had long, dark green hair that was tied in a bun with flowers. She wore a fancy looking dress that had some kind of scales covering her chest. The things that really stuck out to me were her red and blue heterozygous eyes, as well as the fact that she had literal wings. She had four wings, two smaller than two of the larger ones. One side had yellow and red wings while the other had green and blue.

???: "Kuragari, are you okay?"

Kuragari: "I may have a broken rib... But seriously, those people down there are just rude"

???: "You blew up a building!"

Kuragari: "Not like it was on purpose"

The girl sighed and Kuragari yelled down at us.

Kuragari: "I'll be back! Next time, please don't make me fight! I'd rather not!"

And with that, the two of them flew off.

Lucas and Lily leaped down off of the building and ran over to us.

Lucas: "Are you okay?"

I smirked.

Lucy: "Aw~ you do care~"

He rolled his eyes.

Lucas: "Yeah, you're fine"

Lucas knelt down to Terran and Mia.

Lucy: "Will they be okay?"

Lucas: "Yeah, Terran's just knocked out. Mia's in bad condition, but she'll live"

Yuna: "Who were they?"

Lucas: "No clue, but we should tell the Gods right away"

Suddenly, thunder clouds started forming over the school.

Yuna: "Zeus and Jupiter are seriously angry"

Lucas: "Guess they already know"

Lucas sighed.

Lucas: "Grab them and let's carry them back. Chances are, we've just been a part of the beginning of a new war"
