Lily: "Lucas"

Lucas: "Leave me alone..."

I tried walking faster, but she just hovered over me.

Lily: "We can't split up right now, who knows when the Amazons will strike"

I stopped.

Lucas: "They don't get it..."

Lily: "About Lucy?"

Lucas: "I've told everyone that she should just be left in the Human world. She's not strong enough to survive in our world. We're always taking care of her and bailing her out of trouble. It's only a matter of time..."

Lily: "She's stronger than you give her credit for"

Lucas: "But she's not strong enough for this world"

Lily: "You're not really talking about her, are you?"

I avoided eye contact and looked down at the ground.

Lucas: "I... I'm talking about myself..."

Lily: "What do you mean?"

Lucas: "She's my little sister... it's my job as her brother to keep her safe. Mom asked me to watch over her and make sure she came back alive... But in the end... I wasn't strong enough... I failed her..."

She lowered until we were face to face.

Lily: "No, Lucas, you didn't fail anyone"

Lucas: "Yes I did...!! I wasn't strong enough to fight off Seth!! I wasn't strong enough to keep Lucy safe!!! I-I wasn't fucking strong enough to save Aunt Emiko!!!!"

Lily suddenly wrapped her arms around me and pushed my face into her chest.

Lily: "It's not your fault..."

Tears ran down my face.

Lucas: "I... I-I feel so worthless...!! I'm a fucking failure...!!!"

Lily rubbed the back of my head.

Lily: "None of that is true. You did everything you could, but you need to realize that you're still young. What happened to Emiko was something that was caused by her own actions at your age. It was going to happen one way or another. As for Lucy, all of us could've stayed and gotten her through the portal first, any of us could've waited those few seconds, but we didn't. The blame for losing her is on all of us. So please... don't let it burden you"

I hated crying, especially in front of others. But somehow, I felt safe with Lily. It was a feeling I wasn't used to. I was always alone, being a descendant of Hades, but Lily didn't care.

I cried into her as she held me, whispering comforting things into my ear.

That's when we heard Idril scream out.

Idril: "Lucas!!! Lily!!!! Anyone!!!!"

We saw her run around the corner of a building. She tripped and fell onto the hard concrete.

Lucas: "Idril!!"

I quickly ran over.

Idril: "T-They're here...!!"

Before I could react, Lily appeared in front of me and blocked a powerful punch by catching it.

The person smirked.

???: "Damn, guess you're her then"

She was a black girl with long blonde hair with pink highlights that was tied into two large twin tails. Her pink eyes were sharp like an animal. She wore a short hot pink hoodie that she left unzipped, revealing her white sports bra underneath. She wore a hot pink skirt with a black bow on it. She had fishnet leggings as well as hot pink heels. She had a pair of thin circle glasses on her face. The oddest thing about her was the wolf ears coming out of her head and the wolf tail coming out by her lower back.

???: "Lily, am I right~?"

Lily said nothing as her eyes started glowing blood red.

???: "Not even taking the time to speak to me~? How rude~"

She pulled her hand back and took a few steps back.

???: "You're strong willed... I like that~"

She licked her lips.

???: "It's so much more fun to break down someone strong willed~ Almost like hunting prey~"

Her eyes grew sharp like a beast. Suddenly, the air around us felt heavy, almost like there was a force being pushed down on us just from her being here.

Lucas: "Lily, are you afraid of anything?"

Lily: "Not that I know of, why?"

Lucas: "Phobikinesis, she can manipulate fear like me"

Lily: "It doesn't affect me, I'm not scared"

???: "Trust me, you will be~"

She lashed out and went straight for a slash with her extra long and sharp claws, which grew out of her nails. Lily managed to block it, however the sharp claws cut deep into Lily's arm, causing blood to flow out.

Lucas: "Hold on!"

Before I could run to her, a figure jumped down from the building above us.

Andra: "We meet again, boy"

I stayed silent, however I formed my twin pistols.

Andra: "I suggest you stand down. By now, Hali and Adora should've captured your other friends and are on their way now"

I pointed my gun straight at her head.

Lucas: "Give me one reason why I shouldn't just blow your brains out"

Andra: "Because we aren't here for you, we only want Lily"

Lucas: "And why's that?"

Andra: "She needs to die"

Lucas: "Not happening"

I pulled the trigger and a bullet flew straight towards her, however she swiftly swung her spear and cut the bullet down.

Andra: "Lexi, finish her off so we can get out of here"

The wolf girl grinned.

Lexi: "So I don't get to toy with my prey~?"

Andra: "Do not underestimate her, she will kill you given the chance"

Lexi: "That would be cute~"

Lexi ran in and tried to cut Lily's throat out, however she managed to dodge in time and landed a powerful gut punch to Lexi, sending her flying back into a building.

I looked over at Idril.

Lucas: "Go help Lily, I'll handle her"

Andra: "All by yourself, boy?"

Lucas: "Call me boy one more time. I dare you"

She looked at me coldly.

Andra: "Then your life is forfeit, boy"

She swung her spear with all her strength, holding it from the base, giving her much more reach. I used the barrels of my guns to block the attack and parry, going in for a close up strike. She spun her spear around and slammed it right into my stomach, however I was still close enough to get off a few bullets. Despite that, she avoided all of them.

Andra: "Guns are a coward's weapon"

Lucas: "They're so I don't get my hands dirty with inferior blood"

We clashed once more, however the result was the same. I couldn't get a hit on her while she managed to get a few on me. I had a cut from her spear on my cheek.

Andra: "It has been over a thousand years and not a single person has bested me in combat. I won't let some boy fight like he's my equal"

Lucas: "I hated you the moment I first met you..."

Shadows began to engulf my body.

Lucas: "Sexist bitch"

The ground began to shake and crack. From the cracks, the ground ripped open and skeleton warriors emerged.

Andra: "One of Hades's offspring, even worse"

The army of skeletons charged Andra, however almost gracefully, she destroyed each and every one of them. That was enough though, because it gave me time to think and strategize.

If I could pull this off, I could win easily. But I couldn't risk hurting the others.

I saw Lily was covered in blood from all the cuts and bruises she had. After all the time we've spent together, it was hard to believe that someone could keep up with her, let alone have the upper hand. Despite the injuries, Idril kept healing them from a distance.

Lucas: "Idril!!"

She looked over.

Lucas: "Code: Tenebris!!!"

Idril's eyes opened wide, unsure of if now was a good time. However she nodded.

Idril: "Lily!! Fall back!!"

Lily flew back to Idril, barely able to keep herself floating.

Lexi: "Give up already~?"

Lucas: "I'll give you two one chance to stand down, otherwise, you won't live to see the sun set..."

Lexi: "Oh you're definitely a top~ I wonder how much punishment you can take before you're licking my shoes~"

Lucas: "You asked for it..."

Idril threw a black key to me, a skull carved into it.

Andra: "What is that?"

I held my hand out and formed a big padlock made of shadows directly in front of me. I inserted the key and turned the lock.

Lucas: "Come forth... the power of Hades..."

Shadows danced around me, almost like a flame. I closed my eyes.

Lucas: "I swore to never use this, but you're in my way to finding Lucy... You were warned..."

I opened my eyes, revealing nothing but pure black eyes. The white of my eye was now completely black from the shadows.

Andra: "W-What is this?!"

Lily: "Is that Lucas?!"

Idril: "I-It's his failsafe plan! Like Angel, he has a Demon state that amplifies his power greatly, but because it's so strong, we keep it locked under key"

Lily: "Demon?! I knew he was part succubus, but I didn't think this would happen"

Idril: "H-He almost killed a God in that state, he can't control it"

Andra: "You're simply a monster!"

I stayed dead silent, looking at Andra. My fear manipulation washed over Andra and Lexi, so powerful due to my amplified state that they fell to their knees.

Andra: "W-What is happening?!"

I only spoke one word.

Lucas: "Death"

I appeared directly in front of Andra and slammed my fist into her stomach so hard that she went flying into the air. Right before she could land, I kicked Lexi and sent her flying straight into the falling Andra, making them crash into an abandoned building. I formed two massive shadow guns and let loose a flurry of shadow bullets straight where they were sent into the building. I probably shot a thousand bullets before I heard Idril cry out.

Idril: "L-Lucas!! Stop now!!"

I turned my head in her direction. That alone was enough to send Idril to her knees.

Idril: "L-Lucas, I-It's me"

My expression didn't change. I slowly began walking over to her.

Lily: "Hey! You have to listen!"

I suddenly grabbed Lily's face and slammed her into the wall of a building. Idril cried out again.

Idril: "Lucas!! Stop!!!"

I towered over her, looking down with my dark as night eyes. Tears ran down Idril's face.

Idril: "I-It's me..."

Suddenly, I felt a sharp object pierce my chest. I looked down and saw Andra's spear pointing out the front of me. I looked back and saw Andra standing with her spear in hand, pushing it into me.

Andra: "You men...! Nothing but monsters!!!"

Every time I heard that word, every time I was called it, something inside me started to crack. Every single time either a classmate or an enemy said it, it would slowly build up.

Lucas: "Monster huh..."

Andra twisted the spear.

Idril: "L-LUCAS!!!!!!!"

Though I didn't realize it, using my Demon powers at its max level had exhausted me of all my energy. I saw Idril crying, reaching her hand out to me. I also saw Lily laying motionless on the ground.

I felt myself slowly losing consciousness.

...

???: "No"

I heard a voice speak inside my head. I looked down and saw Dad's necklace start glowing.

???: "It would seem I am needed once more~"

Everything around me turned dark until a bright yellow light appeared in front of me. It didn't take me long to realize that the light wasn't just a light, it was an eye.

???: "To think that Connor lost to Seth~ If I was still the serpent I once was, I would devour him for giving me away~"

Immediately I knew who this was, which sent adrenaline through my entire body.

Lucas: "You must be Apophis"

The eye backed away as red lightning crashed around us, lighting up the monster in front of me.

I saw a massive serpent, so large that a single scale was ten times as big as me. From the head all the way to the tail were black scales, however the underside was filled with blood red scales. From its cobra shaped head to about a quarter way down its body, boney spikes protruded from itself. Long and sharp fangs hung out of its mouth and its glowing yellow eyes stared down at me.

Apophis: "Mmm~ I like this soul~"

Lucas: "Huh?"

Apophis: "So much hate, so much anger, so much darkness~"

I clenched my fist.

Lucas: "What do you want?"

Apophis: "When Connor tossed you that necklace, he sealed my soul deep within it, preventing Seth from having every bit of chaos within him. But since you put it on and nearly died, I took it upon myself to step in and offer you a deal~"

Lucas: "The Gods' deals are bull, you expect me to make a deal with a Demon?"

Apophis: "My deal is simple, really~ I will help you fight off the Amazons while in return, you are to give me to young Sky~"

Lucas: "Your kid, right?"

Apophis: "A family reunion is all I ask~"

Lucas: "I've heard stories about you, there's more to it than you're letting on"

Apophis: "You have been pierced through the heart with an enchanted blade. That elf cannot heal you. You will die the second you return to your body. So if you don't accept my offer, you will never live to regret it~"

Lucas: "You will aid us in finding Lucy too, right?"

Apophis: "Of course~ I think of you and your sister as my family as well. After all, you two are my grandchildren~"

I sighed.

Lucas: "Fine, I accept"

A ring of golden flames appeared around me.

Apophis: "Embrace the chaos~"

When my eyes opened, I felt power surge through my body. My eyes went from black to bright yellow. The shadows around me began to turn blood red.

Andra: "No..."

I grabbed the spear and pulled it out the front of me, stealing it from her. My wound immediately closed up.

Andra: "Those eyes... you're—"

She didn't have enough time to finish before I slammed the spear straight into her side, sending her flying back and onto the ground.

Lexi dashed in to stop me, clawing and slashing, however I dodged each with little to no effort, landing a powerful gut punch that sent her flying into Andra again.

I could feel the power coursing through my veins, growing stronger by the second. I had always wondered how Dad was so strong, this must've been it.

There was a problem though. The power kept increasing, taking over my body.

Lucas: "I-Idril...! G-Get Lily and... run..!!"

Chaos energy exploded from my body, knocking Idril to the ground.

Idril: "L-Lucas!!"

Lucas: "I said run!!!!"

My body moved on its down and began moving closer to her again. Before she could get up, I reached down and grabbed her by her neck, holding her up.

Lucas: "I-I can't stop...!!!"

Idril looked down at me with tears flowing from her eyes.

Lucas: "Apophis!!! Stop it...!!!!"

I heard him cackling inside my head.

Suddenly, I felt a powerful punch land against my head, sending me to the ground and dropping Idril. I was thankful, however I couldn't think of who had the power to do that. When I turned, I saw Sky standing by Idril. Chaos energy engulfed her body.

Sky: "You hurt Idril..."

She drew her twin daggers, connecting them together to form a blood red scythe with a golden shaft.

Sky: "You'll pay..."

Her eyes glowed bright yellow, filled with the same chaotic energy associated with Apophis.

Lucy

Lucy: "W-What do you mean?!"

Kuragari: "I mean that they're attacking us!!"

He punched the tree next to us.

Kuragari: "I thought we would have more time..."

Before we could take it in, flying demons descended from the mountains, causing a bone chilling alarm to go off.

Terran: "Lucy!!"

Terran ran up to us.

Terran: "Is there anywhere safe we can take Lucy?"

Lucy: "No! I can fight!"

Kuragari: "You're in a wheelchair"

Lucy: "I can still fight! I can't just sit around while people are dying!"

He ignored me and looked at Terran.

Kuragari: "Take her to Hayu. She'll keep her safe"

Terran: "What about you?"

He smirked.

Kuragari: "It's a drag, but I'll go kill some Demons"

Just like that, he vanished. It was like when he first came to Mytho-Academy, however I still don't know how he does it.

As Terran hurriedly wheeled me to the main building, I found myself crying.

Lucy: "I hate being human..."

Terran: "Lucy, now's not the time for this"

I knew he wasn't being mean, but those words still hurt.

We arrived at the main building and Terran forced the doors open, wheeling me in and closing them behind him.

Before we could go any deeper, Hayu flew out to us.

Hayu: "What's happening?!"

Terran: "We're under attack, Demons. We think The Destroyer is the culprit"

Her eyes opened wide.

Hayu: "We... can't defend this place"

Terran: "What do you mean?!"

Hayu: "Look at how this school is set up. We're completely surrounded by Demons coming from all directions. They've trapped us inside our own fortress with no way out"

Terran: "Then we fight them back!!"

Hayu: "We will try, but our top priority should be keeping Lucy safe"

Lucy: "What about everyone else?! Don't prioritize me!! Keep them safe!!"

She suddenly snapped at me.

Hayu: "We can't save every life, Lucy!!!"

Lucy: "But why are you prioritizing me?!"

Hayu: "Because I have discovered the truth about that dagger you wield"

I placed my hand on my dagger on my belt.

Hayu: "We had taken it off of you when you first arrived and I gave it a long inspection. According to ancient texts that have survived countless lifetimes, that dagger was forged to combat The Destroyer. More accurately, that dagger is what seals its prison"

That last sentence sent chills down my spine.

Hayu: "Only those chosen to wield it may use its true power. So if this Seth God tried to steal it, it would be powerless with him. He needs you to unlock the prison"

Lucy: "B-But I would never do that!!"

Hayu: "I sense that is why he has taken your Aunt"

My eyes opened wide as I realized what she meant.

Lucy: "He's using her as a hostage... to force me to set The Destroyer free..."

Hayu: "If The Destroyer is set free, no one will be able to stop it"

She spread her wings out.

Hayu: "We will do our best to fight them back, maybe prevent them from taking over. If we fail, take Lucy down to the basement, you'll know what to do"

Terran nodded.

Hayu: "I will send any injured here. I will also send Chloe here as extra backup. Do not leave this building under any circumstances"

She held her hand out and massive gust of wind forced the doors open. Just from the few minutes we had spent in here, the damage was already done.

Buildings were lit ablaze, forests were already burning to the ground, the clouds above a sickening blood red, the very ground cracking and splitting, bringing forth more Demons. Groups of Demigods tried to fight them off, but they were taken out one by one.

Hayu: "No..."

I could see the pain in Hayu's eyes. Suddenly, they grew sharp. She spread her arms out and began chanting in some strange language. The clouds began to swirl around, forming what looked like a hurricane in the sky.

Hayu: "I will not allow this!!!!!"

Powerful gusts of wind blew throughout the school, all converging at the center of the hurricane. Then, the clouds began to lower as the biggest tornado ever seen descended from the sky.

Demons screeched and tried to fly away, however the second it started, all airborne Demons were immediately sucked in and shredded to pieces by the winds.

Hayu: "You will not take my home!!!!"

Suddenly, an arrow made of blood red and pale blue energy shot straight into one of Hayu's wings.

Hayu: "AGGHHH!!!!!"

She plummeted towards the ground, however Sylliba flew straight into her and caught her, slowly descending.

Sylliba: "M-Miss Hayu!!"

They landed on the ground, however blood poured out from Hayu's wing.

Hayu: "T-That energy..."

???: "Chaos~"

Walking slowly up the hill to where we were was a figure shrouded in a blood red and pale blue aura.

Lucy: "N-No..."

Even though I could barely feel my legs, if I was standing, they would've given out. I saw Dad, however I knew it wasn't really him. It was Seth.

Seth: "What a beautiful school you have~ A shame it must burn to ash~"

Terran: "T-That's the guy Lucy was talking about!"

Lucy: "S-Seth has taken over Dad's body!!"

Sybilla set Hayu down in the grass and formed a staff made of wood.

Hayu: "D-Don't...!"

She smiled back.

Sybilla: "Don't worry, Miss Hayu, I know I can't beat him alone"

A massive barrage of spears and swords shot down at Seth, however the chaos aura exploded, sending all of the weapons away.

Chloe: "Did you really think you could attack us and get away with it~?"

She appeared behind Seth with a dagger to his neck. I saw nothing but a murderer's glare in her eyes as she went to cut his throat. However before she could, Seth grabbed her by her hoodie and tossed her away. She flipped in mid air and landed next to Sybilla.

Chloe looked down at her dagger.

Chloe: "I got a bit of his blood on my knife~"

She licked the blood off of his dagger and licked her lips.

Chloe: "War is Love and Love is War~ War brings blood and I love blood~ Meaning... I fucking love War!!!!"

She dashed in and formed a claymore in her hand, swinging it at the right time to make it extremely difficult to block, however Seth formed a Khopesh, an Egyptian sword, and blocked the attack with ease.

Chloe immediately made the claymore vanish and formed a new sword in her hand, which due to the change in size, was able to go right by Seth's sword and cut right into his shoulder.

Sybilla: "Good job!!"

Lucy: "N-No!! He's in my Dad's body!! If Seth dies, he will too!!"

Hayu: "W-We do not have the luxury of trying to save your father! If we don't kill him, he will kill us!!"

Suddenly, Seth began chuckling, which slowly turned into laughing, then a blood curdling cackling.

Seth: "I might have overestimated you people~ This is nothing compared to what Connor and Emiko Yukari were able to do~"

He grabbed Chloe by her neck.

Sybilla: "Chloe!!!"

Seth: "Let this be a testament to my strength~ Let this be in honor of my dear friend Connor Yukari who made all of this possible!!"

With a single movement, Seth squeezed and twisted his wrist, snapping Chloe's neck in front of all of us.

The world fell silent. Time froze.

Sybilla: "CHLOE!!!!!!!!!!!"

Her body exploded with arcane, all condensing into the tip of her staff. Tears ran down her face as she pointed it straight at Seth.

She screamed at the top of her lungs and fired off an arcane blast so massive that it cleared the clouds in the sky.

When the smoke cleared, my heart sank.

Seth: "That would've been very impressive if you weren't blinded by rage~ Makes your magic unstable~"

Seth was standing directly in front of Sybilla, his sword straight through her chest.

Hayu: "N-NOOO!!!!!"

Hayu tried to stand, but the blood gushing from her wings became too much for her.

Hayu began crawling over to us, unable to stand.

Seth: "Crawling~? Do you honestly think that will save you~?"

He appeared behind her and thrusted his sword down into her back.

Seth: "Playtime is over~"

She screamed and let out one final word before the light went out in her eyes.

Hayu: "RUN!!!!!!"

Terran immediately slammed the doors shut. He then ran to me and hurriedly wheeled me down the hall.

Lucy: "E-Everyone..."

Terran: "NOT NOW!!!!"

I looked up and saw tears streaming down his face.

After a few seconds, I heard the door explode. He wheeled me down a flight of stairs using rocks to make a smooth path. At the end of the new hallway was a pair of golden doors. He forced them open and the other side was a massive green portal.

Terran: "We have to—"

The hallway began to shake as hundreds of Demons began flooding it, crawling over each other to get to us.

Terran: "Lucy..."

He looked back at me, his eyes still red from crying. He then leaned down and pressed his lips onto mine before pushing me into the portal.

Terran: "I'm sorry"

Lucy: "TERRAN!!!!"

Just before I fell through the portal, I saw Terran slam his mace into the ground and collapse the portal just as I fell through.
