Lucas

Damnit... Lucy...

It's all my fault...

All I could think about this past week was how I failed Lucy. Every single day, the thought lingered in my mind, taking over every though I had. I wanted to be there for Mom, but I just couldn't. I couldn't face her after how badly I failed.

I only recently saw her today when we summoned that Sky girl from Tartarus. But that's a whole can of worms I won't get into. The second Mom and I were alone back at my dorm, a shadowy aura surrounded her, like what happened to me when I got angry.

Angel: "Y-You were supposed to keep her safe..."

Lucas: "I... I couldn't have done anything—"

She suddenly slapped me, rage the only thing in her eyes. I didn't even flinch as a large red mark appeared on my cheek. However the second she did that, all of the anger vanished from her eyes. She immediately broke down crying and grabbed onto me tightly.

Angel: "L-Lucas...! I-I'm so sorry...!! I'm sorry...!!!"

I hugged her back. I had never seen Mom so angry like that in my life. Even though she apologized for the slap, it was completely justified. I'm the reason we lost Lucy and Dad. It's my fault.

Of course I'm not mad at her for slapping me, even though she's hiding it, she partly blames me for it.

Later that night, I just gave up. I laid in bed, wishing for all of this to go away. I even managed to get Lily to leave me alone for a bit, which was a blessing.

I had taken my shirt off, since it was more comfortable this way. Even in the complete dark, I could see recent cuts on my wrist and arm. Thankfully, no one has caught this yet.

Once tears began running down my face, I formed a dagger made out of the shadows and held it up to my arm.

Suddenly, my bedroom door opened and Mom walked in. The light from the hallway revealed everything. The second Mom saw me, she gasped and ran over to me.

Angel: "L-Lucas!!"

She grabbed my arm, making my dagger go away. I couldn't look at her.

Angel: "W-What do you think you're doing!!!"

My hair covered my eyes.

Lucas: "It's... my fault... I need to... repent somehow..."

I felt a tear fall onto my hand.

Angel: "S-Sweetie, it's not your fault...!!!"

She grabbed me and pulled me into a big hug. She cried into my shoulder, making me almost cry too.

Angel: "P-Please... stop this... It wasn't your fault... I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier... I... I just... I can't take this.... I lost Connor before, many years ago... and... I just can't take losing him again... then I lost my daughter... Lucas... I can't lose you too...."

She rubbed my arm.

Angel: "I've done what you're doing now... back when I was your age, I had these kinds of problems too... I still have scars from it... but... please... I'm here for you, sweetie... you've been trying so hard to be strong for me, I don't think I've even seen you cry... Please... Lucas, just let it out..."

I couldn't keep it in anymore. I cried into her shoulder.

Lucas: "M-Mom... I'm sorry...!! It's all my fault!!"

She rubbed the back of my head.

Angel: "No, sweetie, it's not your fault... please don't think that... I've also experienced that feeling... You'll dig yourself a hole you won't be able to get out of. You aren't alone, we'll get them back... I promise..."

We locked eyes, however I immediately knew she was lying. We weren't going to get them back and she knew it. But I had to try.

Lucas: "O-Okay"

I wiped my eyes with my arm.

Lucas: "I-I think I'm okay now..."

Mom wiped her eyes clear too.

Angel: "We need to stop sulking like this. They wouldn't want us to be like this. Do you want to get something to eat?"

Lucas: "Sure, I need something to get my mind off of things..."

Suddenly, Lily appeared above us.

Lily: "Can I come? Nice abs by the way, Lucas"

Angel: "O-Oh my, you're an ab lover? I'm more of a—"

Lucas: "Can you not!!"

Mom giggled.

Angel: "Well, I'll wait out in the living room for you two to get ready"

She rubbed my arm before getting up and walking out of the room. Lily's face then appeared floating upside down in my face.

Lily: "I really like your Mom"

Lucas: "And she seems to like you too... As if this couldn't get anymore annoying"

Lily: "Quit brooding like an emo boy"

Lucas: "E-Emo boy?!"

I tried to swipe at her, but she moved out of the way.

Lily: "I'll see you out in the living room~"

She flew out of the bedroom, leaving me alone again.

Lucas: "Damnit, why do they have to go cheering me up like that, so annoying"

I smiled and put on a shirt before going out to join them.

Mia

Finally, that dumbass finally kissed me. I've been waiting years for that moment and I will treasure it forever.

Even though he was too shy to do anything further... we'll work on that~

Just being with Adrian kept my mind off of things, so I cherished every second we cuddled on the couch. I was the big spoon while he sat in my lap~

I wrapped my arms around him and just rested my chin on his shoulder. We were watching some anime he really wanted me to watch. It was called... what... Yuri On Ice? Despite that title, no Yuri goes on in it, only Yaoi. Which is why I think Adrian wanted to show it to me~

Adrian: "M-Mia, can I ask you something?"

Mia: "Sure, what's up?"

Adrian: "W-Would it be okay if... you stayed the night...?"

I grinned and poked him on the cheek teasingly.

Mia: "Why do you want that~? Maybe it's so we can sleep together~?"

Adrian: "N-No...! I-I just... I want to spend more time together, that's all"

I pecked him on the cheek.

Mia: "Sure, I'll stay the night. On one condition~"

Adrian: "What?"

Mia: "You have to shower with me~"

Adrian: "W-What?!"

I winked at him, showing him I was messing with him.

Adrian: "Q-Quit teasing!"

Mia: "Okay, okay, I'll stop. But seriously, I do want something"

Adrian: "Yeah?"

Mia: "You can make perfect ice sculptures, right?"

Adrian: "If I know the details, yes"

Mia: "Can you... make a sculpture of Mom..."

Adrian's smile faded.

Adrian: "Mia... are you sure..?"

Mia: "Please... just... for a few seconds... I want to see her again..."

Adrian: "O-Okay"

He held his hand out and in front of us, a life sized model of Mom appeared out of ice. It was perfect, down to every detail. I couldn't even look at him afterwards. I just got him off of my lap and walked up to the sculpture.

Mia: "M-Mom..."

Even though I knew it was ice, I wrapped my arms around it and hugged it tightly. I started crying into the shoulder of the ice sculpture. Adrian quickly got up to comfort me, wrapping his arms around me too.

Adrian: "M-Mia..."

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make myself let go of her. I wanted to hug Mom with every fiber of my being, but I knew I wouldn't ever do it again.

Adrian: "She wouldn't want you to hang on this forever, she would want you to move forward, even when she isn't here. She'll always be watching over you, I'm sure of it"

I was finally able to let go of the ice, pulling Adrian into a bigger hug.

Mia: "I-I'm sorry... I-I'm such a crybaby"

Adrian: "I-I know what that's like"

He rubbed the back of my head.

Mia: "T-Thank you..."

Sky

Sky: "SALMON!!!!!!"

I stared down the large plate of grilled salmon that Idril had just made. She was wearing a cute maid apron that made me want her as my main course.

But— Duty calls.

SALMON POLICE!!! I must inspect all salmon in this house!!

I immediately started digging in as stars filled my eyes.

Sky: "Y-Yummy!!!"

Idril giggled as she washed the utensils and pan she used to make the salmon.

Idril: "Do you like it?"

Sky: "I love it!! You're definitely the main girl in my harem!"

Idril: "H-Huh?"

Sky: "I'm going to start a harem!~ The whole anime style, girls falling for me left and right! I'm talking Tsunderes, Danderes, Kuuderes, Derederes, Himederes, and especially the Sadoderes!!"

Idril: "E-Eh... I'm not sure I get it"

Sky: "Don't worry, you'll get it as we go along!"

I continued to eat until almost all of the salmon was gone, leaving only the bones.

Sky: "S-So good~...."

I leaned my head back in the chair I was sitting in. Idril then sat down across from me, gently nudging my foot with her own to get my attention.

Idril: "Are you sure you're okay...? Your eyes were all red when you came in, and... if you want to talk, I'm here"

I did my best to hide it, but a single tear ran down my face, ruining my act.

Sky: "Everything I once knew is gone... Everything and everyone I knew in life has been destroyed or has been dead for a long time"

She rubbed my hand.

Idril: "What was your time like? If you don't mind me asking"

Sky: "I guess you call it the Medieval Era, that's the time I lived for a while. I... had a girlfriend too..."

Idril gripped my hand tighter.

Idril: "Y-You don't have to—"

Sky: "She was beautiful, had long scarlet red hair that was like silk. She had cute glasses that she would always adjust cutely. I would always lose myself in her beautiful amber eyes. She would get embarrassed every time I teased her, but it always made it more fun"

My lips began to quiver.

Sky: "I just... I can't believe she's gone..."

I could feel Idril's elf tail wrap around my waist, as if giving me a hug.

Idril: "I'm so sorry... Sky..."

Her elf ears perked up.

Idril: "Why were you in Tartarus to begin with?"

I wiped my eyes.

Sky: "Because I pissed the Gods off"

Idril: "I could tell that much, but what specifically?"

Sky: "I had a run in with something really powerful, and I used something forbidden to get rid of it. That's about all I can say"

Idril: "Okay... You said you're a slime, but.."

Sky: "I know, doesn't make much sense. My dad had sex with a slime, and out comes your favorite kitty"

Idril: "That's right, you're a Demigod too, right? Who's your Godly parent?"

I grinned.

Sky: "What would be the fun in spoiling that~?"

I stood up and stretched.

Sky: "I think I'll take a bath before bed. Care to join me~?"

Idril actually responded differently than I was expecting.

Idril: "Sure, just give me a minute to finish up the dishes"

She took the large plate that held the salmon.

Sky: "W-Wait, you actually want to bathe with me?"

Idril: "Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time. I bathed with both Lucas and— Lucy..."

I got up and rubbed her back. She started tearing up, but I quickly managed to cheer her up.

Sky: "Sorry for making you think about that. But I promised that I'd fix all of this. And I intend to keep it"

I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her from behind.

Sky: "I know we just met, but... you really remind me of her..."

Idril: "S-Sorry"

Sky: "No, that's a good thing. It's like she's still here with me, watching over me"

Her tail wrapped around my waist again.

Idril: "We'll get through this"

Sky: "Yeah, but before any of that serious stuff, bath time!~"

Connor

My body was aching all over and I could barely even move. My eyes were red from crying and I lost my voice from it too. I just laid there, in a large cage hanging from the ceiling of a large cave looking room.

Below me, was Seth's throne and war room table. I could faintly hear the sounds of Seth having a meeting with some other people. I even heard Deidamia's voice at one point.

Suddenly, my cage started to be lowered down until I was now eye level with everyone at the table. Everyone besides Deidamia and Seth had some kind of dark robe on, so I couldn't tell who they were or what they looked like.

Seth: "And this one here is the key to it all. By possessing his body, I gain not only his natural power, but also that of Apophis. His chaos mixed with mine will finally set our plans into motion"

I managed out one sentence.

Connor: "S-Screw you..."

Seth walked over to the cage, a twisted grin on his face.

Seth: "You're going to make me say it, aren't you? Fine. I'm so sorry for killing your sister. But to be fair, you tried to kill me first. That's honestly your fault—"

I slammed my fist against the cage in a fit of rage. My fist had connected right where Seth's head was behind the bars of my cage.

Seth: "My~ What a temper~ Makes you all the more valuable"

The door to my cage opened.

Seth: "Do you want to see your sister? She's currently serving me in my home"

I could only manage a nod as I fell back down in the cage.

Seth: "You'll have to answer me, I won't take you if you don't talk"

Connor: "Y-Yes..."

He grinned.

Seth: "Beg for it. Bow to me and beg to see your pathetic sister"

Using up the rest of my energy, I got down on my knees and hands and bowed my head to him.

Connor: "P-Please... l-let me see my sister... I'm begging you..."

He started laughing at me.

Seth: "Haha! You really are amusing!"

He grabbed me by my hair and pulled me up.

Seth: "I'll take you to see her, but not in the way you think"

The last thing I saw was his face mend with mine, Seth taking over my body once again.

Emiko

Dying fucking sucks....

Don't believe any of that "Oh, it's painless" nonsense, this hurt like hell. I was literally bleeding out from a hole in my chest, not a pleasant experience.

When I "woke up", I was laying on the ground in what appeared to be a very fancy looking bedroom. The bedroom was like one you'd see royalty sleeping in. A massive bed and chandelier, even a flat screen tv on the wall. There was a bunch of other stuff, but it didn't change where I was. I knew exactly where this place was.

Seth's Home.

Specifically, his own little dimension that he has complete dominion over. I saw the whole castle at one point when I was a younger, it looked absolutely beautiful on the outside, but if Seth ruled it, it wouldn't be a pleasant place.

I grabbed my chest and found there wasn't any hole left, thank Gods. I managed to stand up and look at myself in the mirror.

Emiko: "W-What?!"

I stumbled back when I saw my reflection. I looked exactly like I did back when I first made my deal with Seth. I was back in my teens, my long twin tails and my purple hoodie.

Emiko: "I... guess this makes sense. Back near my prime, this may not be so bad"

I started walking around my room, not seeing anything that noteworthy. There was a small kitchen through a doorway and a big master bathroom through another, which had a full hot tub inside.

I know I would be serving Seth, but even now, I remember him saying it would be a pleasant stay as long as I behaved. And after looking at all this, it wasn't looking so bad.

Of course, that's when things started going wrong.

The first thing that really made me nervous was that the door to my room was locked. I couldn't leave and there were no windows. The second thing was a few security cameras scattered around the rooms, which would always have an eye on me. Third was that my bed had leather shackles on the four corners, which definitely creeped me out.

That's when I heard a familiar voice behind me.

Connor: "E-Emiko?"

I quickly turned around and saw Connor standing behind me. Just like me, he was back in his teens. His clothes were tattered and he looked horrible. His body was all beaten up and he looked very tired.

Emiko: "C-Connor?"

I was wary about him, since he was possessed by Seth. However when I looked into his eyes, I saw the bright blue I knew. I reached out and he actually flinched when I held his hand. I then pulled him into a tight hug as we both began crying.

Connor: "E-Emiko... I-I'm so sorry..."

Emiko: "N-No, don't you dare be sorry. I'm... just so happy you're here..."

Connor: "I am too..."

His voice suddenly changed into one I knew all too well.

Seth: "My dear bride~"

I quickly pushed him back as his eyes were now pale blue. He had an evil grin on his face.

Seth: "Sorry to disappoint, but he's not able to speak with you at the moment~"

Him going into Connor's body was a blessing in disguise. His God form was terrifying and made my limbs tremble just looking at him. But since he was in Connor's body, he wasn't very intimidating.

Emiko: "Shut up!!"

Seth suddenly pushed me down onto the bed and pinned me down.

Seth: "Feisty~ I love it~ But don't forget your role here, my dear bride~"

Since I still had most of my courage, I spoke with a bit of sass.

Emiko: "L-Look, take any other form besides your God form, because... t-this is way too weird... you being in my brother's body"

Seth actually seemed to think on this for a minute.

Seth: "You're quite right, perhaps this body isn't the best for interacting with my bride... I'll fetch another host on a later date"

I suddenly kneed him in the stomach, sorry Connor. He vanished in a veil of shadows and appeared standing at the foot of the bed. He still had that crooked grin on his face.

Seth: "As fun as this is, I have work that must be done. In the meantime, enjoy what I have given you! Because when I return, you're servitude will begin"

Before he could turn away, I jumped off of my bed and yelled.

Emiko: "Take me if you want, but leave Connor out of this!!"

Seth looked back at me.

Seth: "He has also made a deal with me, so simply letting him go isn't an option for me. As well as the power this body gives me, it can kill multiple Gods at once if I wish!"

He held out his hand to me, pointing right at my throat.

Seth: "Believe it or not, I control everything that happens in this world. I could make you die a hundred deaths if I so wished. So I suggest you be a good bride and do as you're told"

His eyes opened wide with insanity.

Seth: "Though it would be cute to see you try and escape, watching you squirm helplessly as the hope you once had slowly drains out of you would be the most amusing thing I've seen in hundreds of years!!"

Seth then vanished in a veil of shadowy smoke. Immediately, I fell to my knees when they gave out. The amount of fear that was now coursing through my veins was more than I could handle.

Emiko: "There is no way I can survive down here this long... I-It's not possible... I'll go insane before my time is up..."

I cried into my hands, the fear and anger filling my head.

Emiko: "Why...!!! Why does this have to happen...!!!"

I suddenly heard a whisper in my ear.

Seth: "Because you made a deal with the Devil~"

His psychotic laughter filled my head, the only thing that would ring in my ears for thousands of years.

I'm going through a lot of emotional stuff irl right now— so sorry if this chapter was super depressing, I'll try to make the next one more positive. I just wanted to show how everyone is reacting to everything that happened without just glossing over it like I've done in the past with Mytho-Academy.
