Lucas

The Blue Oni tried to get up, however my soul spear kept it down. I twisted the shaft, making the spear tip tear into the Oni's heart.

Lucas: "When you get to hell, give Grandpa my regards"

I twisted it again, making the Oni scream in pain as it's body exploded, turning into a large red soul orb. I held my hand out and it floated into my hand. I pressed it into my chest, absorbing some of its energy. Immediately, any fatigue I had before the battle was now gone and any wounds were now healed.

Once the shadows around me faded, I immediately ran over to Lily, who was still unconscious.

Lucas: "Lily!"

I shook her shoulder, however she didn't move.

Lucas: "Come on! Stay with me!"

I placed my ear up to her chest. Her heart wasn't beating.

I immediately began cpr, pressing down on her chest. Normally, if I did this to a human, I would shatter their ribs with my Demigod strength. However since Lily was a vampire, it took a lot more.

The more I did it, the more I started to panic. No matter how desperately I tried, nothing was working.

That's when I suddenly heard a voice from behind me.

???: "Hey! Are you two okay?!"

I heard the sound of running footsteps suddenly stop.

???: "Oh, It's you again"

I instantly recognized the voice. I turned around and saw the same Demigod who attacked the school, Kuragari.

Kuragari: "The hell happened to you two?"

I instantly formed my shadow pistols.

Lucas: "Like hell you don't know!! Your Oni attacked us!!"

Kuragari: "An Oni? Here?"

He ran his hand through his black hair and mumbled to himself.

Kuragari: "Damnit... if Oni have infested this place, it'll be my job to get rid of them. What a pain..."

Lucas: "It really wasn't you?"

Kuragari: "Of course not, Oni are just annoying"

I immediately remembered why we were here, though I was still worried about Lucy and the others.

Lucas: "Look, we came for peace negotiations, we can't have the last two Demigod schools going to war. The last one nearly wiped us all out"

Kuragari: "The war that was Mytho-Academy's fault"

Lucas: "You can't blame the new generation for the problems caused by the old!"

Kuragari: "Don't get me wrong, I know going to war is a poor idea. But in the end, it's not my decision"

Lucas: "Then take us to someone who can help"

Kuragari: "Before any of that, is your friend going to be okay?"

Lucas: "I... I don't know! That's why I we need to get help!"

Kuragari: "I can help, but I won't do it for free"

Lucas: "Okay, deal, what do you want?"

Kuragari: "I want Lucy Yukari. She needs to come with me"

Lucas: "No way in hell!!"

I aimed my shadow pistols at him.

Lucas: "Help her now before I put a bullet between your eyes!!"

Kuragari: "It's a simple request, I don't get why all of you are so against it"

Lucas: "You are not taking my sister, she has nothing to do with any of this!! She's just mortal!!"

Kuragari gave a weak smile.

Kuragari: "But that's why she's so valuable"

Lucas: "Look, if you heal her, I think about it, just please help her, she doesn't have much time left!"

Kuragari: "Guess that's the best I'll get out of you"

He suddenly vanished from my sight and appeared behind me. He knelt down to Lily, holding his palm onto her forehead. The ground around them became a veil of shadows, almost too dark for even me to see through. Then, the shadows faded away just as quickly as they came. Lily suddenly shot upright, gasping for air.

Lucas: "Lily!!"

I ran over to her and knelt down next to her.

Lucas: "You okay?"

Lily: "Y-Yes, I think so"

I looked up at Kuragari, who seemed more bored than anything.

Kuragari: "There, she's healed. Now, can I have Lucy Yukari or not?"

Lucas: "Why do you even want her so badly?"

He got up and turned away from us.

Kuragari: "Don't you think it's strange how she's the only mortal in history who's been able to see the mythological? Not only that, but she's being targeted by something even greater than the Gods themselves. Haven't you ever found that strange?"

Lucas: "Of course I have, but she's recently developed demigod powers, though I don't know how. I got mine when I was way younger. There's no way they would appear now"

Kuragari: "Whatever the case may be, she is a key component in what's to come. And the storm that's brewing, I'll tell you, it's bigger than anything the Gods have gone up against"

Lucas: "If it'll be that bad, the Demigod schools should be working together, not going to war"

Kuragari: "Again, not my call. But handing Lucy over may convince our school that Mytho-Academy doesn't want conflict and are willing to cooperate"

He tossed me a small flip phone.

Kuragari: "That is programmed to only call me and only be used once. You know what to do"

Before I could even blink, he vanished again.

I looked down at Lily, who was already back to hovering over the ground.

Lucas: "You sure you're okay?"

Lily: "Are you feeling okay, Lucas?"

Lucas: "Why? You're the one who—"

Lily: "You actually seemed concerned over the life of another, how unlike you"

I sighed.

Lucas: "Yeah, you're fine"

I stood up and brushed off my clothes of dust.

Lily: "Where did Terran go?"

Lucas: "Guess he went to find Lucy and the others"

Lily: "We should probably go make sure they're okay. The Oni are very powerfully. Which makes me wonder, how were you able to beat it?"

Lucas: "Not important"

Lily hovered close to me, with her face in mine.

Lily: "Fine, keep your secret"

I moved away so I didn't have a vampire in my face.

Lucas: "Come on"

As we started walking away from the tower, a sudden explosion went off a few blocks away from where we were. Obviously, because I'm a demigod, we went to investigate.

When we arrived, we saw Terran was terribly wounded with bruises and cuts all over his body. His one arm had gone limp, so he was only holding his mace with one hand. He was looking up at one of the billboards in the area.

When I looked up, I saw a shadowy figure wielding a large, curved Egyptian sword. It looked like if a jackal and a human mixed together, however it's eyes looked normal. Well, not completely normal, they had a kind of evilness to them that could make anyone afraid, except me. It was the same shadow that's been bothering me.

I formed my shadow pistols and ran into the fight.

Lucas: "Terran!! You okay?!"

He looked back at me, just barely able to deflect a large dagger that was thrown from the figure.

Terran: "N-Not doing so good, mind taking a turn?"

Lucas: "Got it, just stay back"

I faded into my own shadow and appeared on the top of the billboard, a few feet away from the shadow. I aimed my gun at it, however it didn't seem phased.

???: "It's so good to see you again, Lucas~"

Lucas: "What the hell are you doing here?!"

???: "My dear boy, I've come to talk. However this one isn't exactly the talking type"

Terran yelled from below.

Terran: "That's bull!! You came at me with that sword!!"

I aimed right for its head.

Lucas: "You have five seconds to leave before I put a bullet in your head"

The shadowy veil around the figure started to fade away until it revealed its true form.

???: "I would like to see you try, Yukari. But your shadow bullets will do very little against the God of Chaos"

My eyes widened. I'd heard stories from Dad about how Aunt Emiko made a deal with a God of Chaos. That God was Seth.

Seth: "It's so good to finally meet face to face"

He bowed to me, with a crooked grin.

Seth: "Have you considered my deal?"

I pulled the trigger and shot a shadow bullet straight through Seth's head. However, even with the hole it left, Seth didn't seem affected.

Seth: "See? What did I tell you"

He suddenly appeared directly in front of me. He sliced at my neck with his razor sharp claws, which I was just barely able to avoid. Not completely though, as a small cut formed on my neck.

Seth: "You will want to refrain from doing that again. Unless you want to be the next meal I partake in~"

Lily suddenly appeared behind him, sending him flying into the air with a devastating kick. She jumped up and slammed her fist right into his stomach, sending him flying back to the ground.

Seth: "Lilith!! It's good to finally see you again!!"

Lily's eyes opened wide with fear, which I now realized was caused by a memory returning. However this was just enough time for the God of Chaos to appear behind Lily and slash into her back, his long claws soaking in her blood. She crashed down onto the ground, next to Terran.

Lucas: "Not again!!!"

I set off multiple clips on Seth, making him look like Swiss cheese by the time I let go of the trigger. However his body easily mended itself back to perfection. His eyes were glowing a pale blue, rage the only thing in them.

Seth: "I gave you a warning, Yukari"

He appeared behind me, with a ball of chaos energy in his palm. He thrusted it towards me, creating a massive wave of chaos energy.

Have you ever been hit by a really big wave of heat? How it kind of sucks all the air out of your lungs? That's basically what it was like to get hit by the chaos energy. It didn't burn, more like it ate away at my very soul.

When I regained consciousness, I was laying on the ground, my clothes tattered and ripped, with holes all over the place. I had just enough energy to open my eyes, which allowed me to see Seth slowly walking over to me. His claws were still stained and dripping with Lily's blood.

Seth: "I originally thought I could use you for what is coming, but I now see it was a bad idea. So let's just end this before you become more than a nuisance"

He prepared to jab his hand right into my chest. That's when a large wave of chaos energy crashed into Seth's back. He turned around and saw a figure on top of one of the buildings nearby. When I looked at who it was, I gained the slightest bit of hope.

Connor: "SETH!!! GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY SON!!!!!!!"

Adrian

When I woke up, I was laying in a bed back in the love hotel. My head was laying on something soft and warm, which I quickly realized couldn't have been a pillow. I tried to open my eyes, and when I did, I saw Mia looking down at me. I then realized what my head was laying on...

Oh no!!!!

My face burned red as I jolted upright, still remembering the warmth from the thigh pillow.

Suddenly, Mia grabbed onto me tightly, pulling me into a big hug. She started crying into my shoulder.

Mia: "Y-You're such a big dumbass!! Don't you ever scare me like that again...!!!"

The last thing I remembered was Mia getting hurt from the Oni. I didn't remember a single thing after that.

Adrian: "A-Are you okay?"

Mia suddenly punched me in the side.

Mia: "Seriously?! After everything that happened to you, you're asking me if I'm okay?! Gods...!! I love you and hate you so much...!!!"

Both of our faces suddenly burned a bright crimson.

Mia: "I-I mean, I-I didn't mean love!!! G-Get that thought out of your head right now!!!"

Adrian: "I-I don't know what you're t-talking about!"

Mia: "G-Good!!"

Suddenly, Yuna spoke out from the table near our bed.

Yuna: "You two are just precious~"

Mia: "S-Shut it"

Yuna: "Not going to happen~"

I noticed cuts all over Mia's body, however they were mostly healed.

Adrian: "What happened?"

Mia: "You don't remember?"

Adrian: "N-No, what happened to the Oni?"

Mia: "That doesn't matter now. The Oni is dead and that's that. It's a good thing you regained consciousness, because we may need to move soon"

Adrian: "W-Why?"

Yuna: "Terran stumbled in with Lily and Lucas, all three of them were pretty beat up. Lily woke up a little bit ago and told us what happened. If what she said is true, we're not safe here anymore"

Adrian: "Where should we go?"

Yuna: "No clue, we should wait for the rest to recover before we go anywhere. Now's when I wish we had a healer in the group. The most I can do is limit the pain sensors in the body by canceling the pain signals to the brain. And Mia can kind of self heal. But the rest of us don't really have anything"

Mia: "Having Idril with us would be great right now. Honestly, anyone would be good right now"

Suddenly, a door to another bedroom opened and Lucas limp out, with Lily floating behind him.

Lucas: "We do have someone, though I'm not sure what happened to him"

Mia: "Who?"

Lucas: "Dad, he's here in Japan"

Lucy

Ever since the three of them stumbled into our hotel room, I've been in the back room keeping an eye on them. I knew Lucas and Lily would be fine, but it was Terran that I was worried about. His whole body was wounded, with multiple serious injuries. He had a few cracked ribs and a bad concussion. He lost a lot of blood during his fight.

Lucas and Lily had already left the room since they were conscious, leaving me alone with an unconscious Terran.

While I was worried, looking at him sleeping made my heart throb in my chest. He looked so cute while he slept. Every part of me wanted to just hug him, but the thought of him waking up right as I was hugging him prevented it from happening.

I looked down at the mark on his arm, the supposed curse that was placed upon us. I was the only one in the group without it, everyone else did. Then again, Dad still had his, so it would likely be transferred to me soon.

Part of me was scared of what it could do to us, but the other part of me was intrigued about it.

I looked down at Terran again, being this close to him and no one else around made me feel a little weird. My heart always raced when I was with him, and seeing him to vulnerable...

I leaned down and got my face super close to his. With a second of hesitation, I pressed my lips onto his, unable to hold this feeling back anymore.

Then, I suddenly remembered what I had done with Yuna the previous night. I quickly pulled away and slapped myself in the face.

Lucy: "What's wrong with you... even if all of that wasn't going on right now... there's no way he would ever like you..."

Suddenly, Terran's body flinched.

I-Is he awake?!

He opened his eyes and look at me, his face filled with blush.

Terran: "D-Did that really h-happen?"

Lucy: "Y-You were awake?! O-Oh my god...!"

I covered my face with my hands, regretting everything I just did. That's when Terran sat up in his bed and pulled me close. My eyes opened wide was I looked straight into his. He pulled me even closer, pressing his lips onto mine.

My brain melted completely—

After he separated, both of us were so embarrassed we didn't know what to say.

Terran: "W-Wow, t-that was—"

Immediately, I got up and turned away from him.

Lucy: "I-I'm really sorry...! P-Please pretend like that n-never happened...! A-And don't you dare tell anyone else..."

Terran: "O-Okay, I won't"

After that, I walked out from the bedroom and saw everyone else having a meeting.

Avoiding eye contact with Yuna, I sat down next to Lucas.

Lucas: "So Dad's out there somewhere, but he probably needs our help"

Adrian: "Are you sure? From the stories I've heard about him, he's one of the strongest Demigods out there"

Lucas: "None of you even know why he's so powerful, do you?"

Everyone went silent.

Lucy: "What do you mean?"

Lucas: "Can you guess who our grandpa is? Hades is from Mom's side. But Dad's side is much worse"

Mia: "Mom was close to telling me once, but she always stopped herself"

Lucas: "Apparently, after the last Demigod war, all information involving Dad's parents were kept locked away and hidden from all those who didn't need to know. All of our parents know, but no one outside that who isn't a God"

Yuna: "Quit beating around the bush, tell us!"

Lucas: "Fine, his father is—"

Before Lucas could finish his sentence, Dad came flying in through the destroyed wall, landing directly in front of us.

Lucy: "D-Dad?!"

He looked up at us, fear in his eyes.

Connor: "R-Run!!! Now!!!"

Before anyone could get up, Seth flew in and grabbed Dad by the throat.

Seth: "Oh my, would you look at that! The gang's all here!"

He held out Dad to us.

Seth: "After I finish you off, I wonder if I should pick them off one by one. That shapeshifter is looking delicious~ It's been so long since I've eaten a shapeshifting Demigod!"

Everyone immediately went on the defensive. Forming weapons or blocking the less capable of us from conflict, mainly me.

Lucas fired off multiple rounds of shadow bullets into Seth, however all the did was leave small holes in him, which easily healed.

Seth: "Oh my! A volunteer!"

Seth reached out for Lucas. That's when Dad exploded with some kind of red energy, sending Seth back out from the hole they came.

Connor: "A-Adrian, you have the portal ring your dad gave you, right?"

Adrian: "Yes!"

Connor: "Then use it, I don't care where, just get far away from here!!"

Dad jumped through the hole.

Adrian: "I-Is everyone here?"

Lucy: "No!! Terran is still back in the other room!!"

I ran for the bedroom, however before I could reach it, the ceiling of the room collapsed when Dad was sent flying back into the building. The debris covered the door to the room.

Lucy: "Terran!!!!!"

Lucas grabbed me and pulled me away.

Lucas: "Come on!! It's too late!! We can't help him!!"

Lucy: "L-Let me go!!!"

Lucas: "Adrian!! Portal!!"

Adrian held out his hand as the eyes of the crocodile on the ring started to glow. From it, a large vortex formed in front of us. Everyone rushed in at once, with Lucas having to pull me in. The last thing I saw of the room was the debris that had likely crushed Terran.

On the other side of the portal, was a barren wasteland. Nothing was around us for miles. The portal closed behind us, with no way of going back for Terran.

Lucy: "No!!!!"

I looked back at Adrian.

Lucy: "Open another one!! We have to go back!!!"

Adrian: "I-I can't, it needs to recharge!"

Tears rolled down my face at the thought of Terran's dead body being crushed by all of the ceiling. I clenched my chest and started crying. Both Mia and Yuna ran to me and pulled me into a warm embrace.

Lucas: "Damnit... Why did he have to show up..."

Adrian: "Was that Seth?"

Lucas: "Yeah, but I don't know how he found us. We're supposed to be out of reach of the Gods"

Suddenly, a familiar voice boomed through the air.

Seth: "Normally, that's the case. But I have a little extra help!"

We looked up into the air to see Seth, hovering in mid air with Dad by the throat. He was clearly unconscious with wounds covering his body.

Lucy: "Dad...!!!"

Seth: "Oh don't worry, he's alive, for now. He's still of use to me"

Lucas: "How the hell did he find us!! The portal closed behind us!"

I stepped forward.

Lucy: "Why are you doing all of this?! Why would you help me just to do all of this?!"

Immediately, I regretted speaking.

Lucas: "What?! What do you mean?!!"

Lucas's eyes opened wide

Lucas: "You... You made a deal with him to get powers!! Are you fucking kidding me!!!!"

Lucy: "N-No! I-I mean yes...! I-I..."

Seth: "It doesn't matter much now, does it?"

Seth dropped Dad, leaving him to crash onto the ground.

Seth: "Now, all of you have been a huge pain in the ass. So who would like to be the first to die?"

Lily shot straight for Seth, punching him so hard in the stomach that he actually coughed up blood. Seth only grinned and looked at Lily with murderous intent.

Seth: "Sadly, I can't kill you. Or that mortal down there due to his orders. But there was nothing against chopping off your limbs!!!!!"

Seth slashed his claws at Lily, making her fall back. Lucas provided some cover fire for when Lily went on the offensive. The two of them together were amazing. Lily would go in for the strong close up attacks while Lucas would distract him and divert his attention to him. Lily was landing in some good hits when a spear maid of pure shadows shot down from the sky, impaling Lily in her foot. She screamed out in pain.

Lucas: "Lily!!!"

Seth: "Ah, just on time!"

From Seth's own shadow, a girl emerged, just like how Lucas did with his shadow travel. She looked maybe 10 years older than us. She may have looked innocent enough, but her face looked more like something out of a horror movie. One half of her face looked normal, however the other half was filled with decay. Her light green hair was wild and unbrushed. She wore a long pink dress, almost going down to her feet. She only held a small bunny plush in her hands.

Seth: "Deidamia, would you please deal with the rest? This vampire and Hades spawn need a personal lesson. Though, please leave the mortal alive. She is needed"

Deidamia looked up at Seth, a cruel and unforgiving glare in her eyes.

Deidamia: "Of course, Master"
