Emiko: "Hydra!! On your left!!"

Me and my team of Demigods ran through the dead forest just outside of Mytho-Academy's walls. I leaped out of the way to dodge a fire ball about the size of a minivan. I quickly drew my bow off my back, which was made of dark wood, however there were some designs carved into it that glowed a light blue. The string attached to it was pitch black. I pulled back on the string and an arrow made of Arcane formed on the bow.

I aimed it at the giant green hydra we were attacking. It had eight heads in total, each attached to long, thick necks. Each head had razor sharp teeth that could cut anything open.

I aimed for one of the middle heads, however even though it hit, it barely did anything. The only thing I'd accomplished was getting its attention.

Emiko: "Oh crap!!"

I started running in the opposite direction as fast as I could.

Emiko: "Idril! Help me out!"

A girl that had pale skin with platinum colored hair ran passed me. The hair went down to just passed her shoulders. Her ears were pointy, like an elf. She was wearing a full maid outfit and a tail was poking out from behind the skirt.

She was holding a rune stone with a Nordic symbol carved into it. Idril held the rune stone out towards the Hydra. The second the stone started glowing, the Hydra's movements slowed almost to a complete stop.

Emiko: "Himari!! Wrap up its necks!!"

A hawk flew overhead. As it got closer to the Hydra, it morphed into a red haired girl. Her red hair was pretty long and she had bright green eyes. She wore a green shirt with a black skirt. On her wrists, were two bracelets with gems hanging down off of them from small chains.

Himari: "Got it!"

Himari thrusted both of her hands towards the Hydra and the chains dangling down from her bracelets extended and grew larger and larger. The chains wrapped around all of the Hydra necks. Then, with a swift pull from Himari, all of the chains pulled together, holding the necks of the Hydra in one place.

Emiko: "Kaito! Cut their necks!!"

From the trees, a boy with short, dark blue hair and green eyes ran towards the immobile Hydra. He was wearing a light blue shirt and dark pants. On his head, was a pair of blue goggles, the kind you would use for swimming. In his hands, was a giant, thick claymore sword.

Kaito dashed towards the Hydra as the water from a nearby river emerged out of the water and shot straight for him. The water condensed and covered his huge claymore. He then leaped into the air, swinging his sword at the tied necks of the Hydra. He then cut clean through all of them, leaving the stumps of where the necks used to be.

Kaito: "Emiko! Hurry! The heads will regenerate!!"

Emiko: "I'm on it!

I pulled back on the string of my bow again, however instead of forming a bow of Arcane, I formed something else.

Emiko: "I call upon the power of Khet! Oh wielder of fire, allow me to strike my enemy down with your infernal flames!!!"

A massive arrow made of pure flames formed on my bow. I aimed towards the Hydra and released the arrow. The arrow split into 8 fire arrows, each hitting directly where each neck was cut. This set them on fire, preventing them from regrowing.

Emiko: "Angel!! Finish it off!!"

On the hill right behind the Hydra, was a girl with long black hair and dark, almost silver eyes. She was wearing a black shirt with a purple heart in the center. She wore a black skirt, as well as a black ring of some kind of black mist above her head. Beside her, were two grey skulls with red eyes and a dark purple flame engulfing them. However, over her original clothes, she was wearing Connor's dark blue hoodie.

Angel held her hand out, and out of the skull's mouths, a few glowing red souls floated towards Angel's hand. They then combined to form a long, glowing red spear, made of the souls of the dead.

She leaped into the air, ready to throw her spear at the body of the Hydra.

Angel: "Spawn of Typhon and Evhidna, I hereby send you back to the pits of Tartarus in which you came!!!"

She threw the spear at the body of the Hydra with lightning speed. It pierced the Hydra in its heart, meaning the end for the beast. It's body started to disintegrate into a fine red powder. The only thing that remained was a glowing red soul. Angel landed nearby and grabbed the soul with her bare hands. She then tossed it in the air, where the two skulls quickly ate it.

We all gathered.

Kaito: "Phew, that was rough"

Himari: "Tell me about it, that thing was a lot bigger than the others"

Idril: "That's the fourth Hydra in the past ten days. Thank goodness the Gods are building a wall around the school"

It's been exactly one year since the battle with Apophis. Ever since the battle, the Gods knew it was only a matter of time before the next disaster hit. Multiple members of the Fallen Demigods were still out there, and Surtr hasn't been seen at all.

So in order to help protect Mytho-Academy from attacks in the future, the four major Gods decided to build a large wall that would keep monsters out.

Himari: "I'm tired, I think I'll head back to my dorm. Wanna come with, Emiko?"

Emiko: "Sure, just need to stop by Aphrodite's class and let her know about the Hydra"

Kaito: "I got that, you go hang out with your girlfriend"

It's been a year... and... me and Himari got together... Don't get me wrong, I seriously love her, but it's still embarrassing to admit..

Himari took my hand.

Himari: "I bought some cake from the cafeteria today, we can have some there"

Idril's eyes opened wide as her mouth hung open, drooling a little.

Idril: "C-Can I please have some...?"

Himari: "Sure, I'll drop it off in the morning"

Idril: "Yay!! Thank you!!"

Idril's elf ears perked up out of excitement.

I looked over at Angel, who seemed to be a little distant from the rest of us.

Emiko: "Hey Angel, are you okay?"

Angel looked at me with a weak smile and sad eyes.

Angel: "Yeah... I'm fine... I'm going to head back too, see you all tomorrow..."

Angel faded into her own shadow before I could say anything.

Himari: "What's wrong with Angel?"

Idril: "Last year, today, was the day Connor... you know..."

Himari's face went pale.

Himari: "Oh... right..."

I squeezed Himari's hand, trying to change the subject.

Emiko: "Come on, that cake won't eat itself"

After arriving at Himari's dorm in the Norse wing of the school, I plopped down on her couch. The second we got there, I changed into my pajamas, which was a thin white tank top and purple pajama shorts. I let my brown hair down, so it wasn't in the two pigtails it normally was.

Himari walked over to me and sat down next to me. She was also in her pajamas, however they were a pair of pink bunny footie pajamas. She moved closer to me and wrapped her arms around me, which felt kind of nice...

Himari: "Are you feeling okay? Considering... you know..."

I looked over to her and rested my head on her shoulder.

Emiko: "I'm fine, don't worry"

Himari: "You'd tell me if something was bothering you, right?"

Emiko: "And you'd tell me if you were stealing my pudding cups from the fridge, right?"

Himari: "E-Eh?! W-What are you talking about?! I-I-I never stole any chocolate pudding cups!!"

Emiko: "Never said they were chocolate"

Himari: "I-I— uh..."

I quickly pushed her down onto her back and pinned her down with my body, making her blush hard.

Himari: "I-I promise! I-I didn't take them!!"

Emiko: "I don't think I believe you"

I quickly pecked her lips before sitting up.

Emiko: "I'm just kidding, but yeah, I'd tell you. And nothing's wrong, just... a little sad"

Himari sat up and wrapped her arms around me again.

Himari: "I'm always here for you, no matter what happens"

Emiko: "I know, thanks"

Himari leaned in for a kiss, however I covered her mouth with my hand.

Emiko: "Nuh uh, only I get to start them"

Himari pouted cutely.

Himari: "N-No fair!"

Emiko: "Fine, I'll allow this one"

Himari pulled me closer as we shared a warm kiss.

Later that night, when Himari and most of Mytho-Academy was already asleep, I snuck out of bed and into the bathroom. I quickly changed into my purple hoodie and black skirt. I tied my long brown hair into twin tails with red ribbons. I looked at myself in the mirror, staring into my bright blue eyes.

I then snuck out of the dorm, making my way to the Egyptian wing. I found my way to the graveyard that was kept in the Egyptian wing. Each wing had its own graveyard for its Demigods. I looked around until I found Connor's shrine. However, at the base of it, I saw a sleeping Angel, leaning against the shrine.

Emiko: "She must've been out here all night..."

I knelt down and gently shook Angel's shoulder. Her eyes opened wide as she woke up. She yelled something as she woke up.

Angel: "C-Connor!!!"

The second she saw it was me, she covered her face and turned away from me.

Emiko: "Angel..."

Even though she was turned away, I could tell she was crying.

Angel: "I'm fine..."

I wrapped my arms around her, giving her a big hug.

Emiko: "I know you still miss him, I do too"

Angel pushed me out of the hug, instantly regretting it.

Angel: "P-Please... just leave me alone... I want to be alone right now"

Emiko: "You shouldn't be alone when you're feeling this way"

Angel: "I don't want to bother any of you with my problems..."

Angel knelt down and pressed her forehead again the golden name plate on the shrine. It read Connor Yukari.

She then whispered something under her breath before getting up and walking passed me.

Emiko: "Please, Angel, let us help"

Angel finally snapped.

Angel: "I don't want your help!!! I just want Connor back!!!!"

She turned to me, with tears running down her face.

Angel: "I can't take it anymore!! I-I miss him so much...!!!"

Angel fell to the ground, quickly pulling the hood to Connor's hoodie over her head. She kept crying, hiding her face from me.

Angel: "He was the first who treated me like a person!! Kaito and Himari barely knew me... He didn't even know me a day and he was willing to fight someone to protect me...!! I can't just move on from someone like him!!!!!"

Suddenly, a giant explosion could be heard in the direction of the Norse wing.

Angel: "W-What was that?!"

Emiko: "That was the prison!!!!"

Angel and I sprinted out of the graveyard and into the Norse wing. We approached the prison, where smoke could be seen coming out of it. A giant hole was blown into the side of the prison.

Emiko: "Oh crap!!"

Out from the smoke, four Demigods ran out of the building, four I knew all too well.

The first was pale, skinny girl. She was dressed up in all winter clothes, almost like she was ready for a blizzard. Her hair was white as snow, and her eyes were just as white. Her name was Frostine, the daughter of Chione, the Greek Goddess of Ice.

The second person was a buff, tall man. His hair and beard were red, almost like he had Irish or Scottish blood in him. He was wearing traditional Viking armor, which wasn't much. His name was Barak, the son of Thor, the Norse God of Lightning.

The third was a tall, but very skinny boy. It was actually very disturbing how skinny he was. He wore a long black and purple robe. A black hood was pulled over his head, hiding his dark purple hair. A torn and worn cape was attached to his back, and the torn pieces looked like knife blades. One eye was blood red, while the other had a big scar over it, only giving off the white of his eye. Out of all of them, this guy looked the most intimidating by far. His name was Alder, the son of Apocalypse, the Greek God of Gravity.

The fourth was a small girl, maybe about half our age. She may have looked young, but her face looked more like something out of a horror movie. One half of her face looked normal, however the other half was filled with decay. She wore a long pink dress, almost going down to her feet. She only held a small bunny plush in her hands. Her name was Deidamia, the Daughter of Hel, the Norse Goddess of Death.

The second Angel saw them, her eyes grew dark. She reached her hand around to the back of her neck where her seal was. I quickly grabbed her arm, preventing her from erasing the seal.

Emiko: "What are you doing?!"

Angel: "They're the reason Connor's dead!!! I'll kill them!!!!!!"

Suddenly, a fifth Demigod ran out of the smoke. It was a girl that had long blonde hair tied in a ponytail. She was wearing a white button up shirt with a black skirt. Her eyes were light blue, almost the color of the sky. Her name was Siyuka, daughter of Jupiter, the Roman God of Lightning.

She was now a close friend, so why was she escaping with them?!

Out of nowhere, Siyuka slammed her foot into the side of Barak's head. Barak went to grab her, but in a flash of lightning, she managed to dodge and jump away.

Barak: "The hell are you doing?!! Let's get out of here!!!"

Siyuka: "Like I'd let you"

Alder: "We don't have time for this. Just forget about her, she's not worth it"

Siyuka: "You're not going anywhere"

Deidamia: "You're strong, but you can't take all of us at once. Barak kicked your ass more times than I can count! I saved some of your blood, by the way!"

Frostine: "I thought you were on our side"

Siyuka: "Fat chance of that, I'm done with the Fallen"

Siyuka's body started to generate yellow lightning. Barak stepped forward as his body started to spark with blue lightning.

Barak: "Your lightning is inferior to mine, you can't win with it"

Siyuka smirked.

Siyuka: "Jupiter's lightning is the strongest there is"

Siyuka literally turned into a bolt of lighting, appearing right in front of Barak. She threw an electrifying punch at Barak, however Barak met her punch with his own. The clash from their punch created a massive shockwave of lightning, pushing all of us back.

The two of them kept clashing, blow after blow. Right away, I could tell the difference in how they fight. They both use lightning, however the way they used it was vastly different.

Barak used his lightning to amplify his strength and raw power, releasing it from his body in powerful blasts. Meanwhile Siyuka used it to increase her speed, keeping the electricity inside her to boost her energy.

Suddenly, Siyuka froze in mid air. She then slammed into the ground. I looked over and saw Alder was holding his hand out, manipulating Siyuka's gravity.

Alder: "I've had enough of this"

I quickly pulled my bow off my back and aimed at Alder. I shot an arrow made of water straight for him. However before it could hit him, he used his gravity powers to make it stop in mid air.

Alder: "I understand it's been a year, but you must've known that wouldn't work on me"

I smirked.

Emiko: "Oh I knew"

Suddenly, the arrow exploded, drenching everyone in water.

Barak: "Great, you made my beard wet"

Emiko: "Siyuka!! Now!!"

She slammed her hand down onto the ground, sending an electric current towards them. Because they were drenched, the electricity shocked them. They kept getting electrocuted until, out of nowhere, a figure fell out of the sky, slamming their fist into the ground. The punch was so powerful, it broke the ground around them, canceling the electricity surge.

The figure was dressed in all red and black. They wore a red and black cloak, with a hood over their eyes. Their mouth and nose were covered by a mask. On their hands, were big gloves with sharp blades on the end of each finger tip. I could see some dark brown hair peaking out from under the hood.

The figure turned to the Elite Fallen.

???: "Stop wasting time, let's go"

The cloaked figure gathered everyone around them.

Emiko: "Wait!!!"

I aimed my bow at them, shooting an Arcane arrow. However the second it got close to them, the figure grabbed it with their bare hands and crushed it.

???: "I suggest you surrender now. A great war is coming, and you will be at the center of it. Leave Mytho-Academy and never return, Emiko Yukari. Do this, and you may just see your brother again"

Those words repeated in my head, over and over again. I was consumed by rage.

Emiko: "Connor's dead!!! Shut up!!!"

???: "Things aren't always as they seem. You're on the wrong side. There are other teams you could be on. Join us, and we can reunite you with your brother"

I shot a few more arrows, not wanting to listen to their lies. However before the arrows could hit, they all faded into their own shadows, disappearing into the night.

Multiple school guards surrounded us with spears and swords in hand. In addition to the guards, a beautiful woman approached us. She had long golden hair with pink eyes. Her skin was perfect, as well as her pink and gold clothes. Just being around her made everyone feel like they were looking at their secret crush.

This woman was Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love.

She was a teacher here at Mytho-Academy. She was the Biology teacher and one of the many nurses at the school. She was also the Sex Ed teacher, but we don't talk about that class....

Aphrodite: "My My, what an unfortunate turn of events"

I saw multiple soldiers point their spears at Siyuka, who was still laying on the ground. I quickly pushed passed the ones in front of me and got between Siyuka and the guards.

Emiko: "Don't!! She helped us! She tried to keep them here!!"

Aphrodite spoke to the guards.

Aphrodite: "Stand down. If what Emiko says is true, then you have no reason to threaten her"

One of the guards spoke up.

Guard: "She's still a traitor, she worked for Apophis"

Aphrodite: "Be that as it may, you will not harm her. She will simply return to her cell. No punishment will be allowed"

I helped Siyuka get up by putting her arm over my shoulder and helping her stand.

Emiko: "Miss Aphrodite, please, let me take her back to my dorm. She needs healing"

Aphrodite: "I'm sorry, but I cannot allow that. You will have to heal her in her cell"

I managed to help Siyuka back down into the prison. I then set her down in her cell's bed. She was practically out cold, but I wasn't going to leave the prison until she woke up.

I pressed my hand onto her chest, and my suspicions were confirmed. Broken ribs.

I quickly closed the cell door. I then ran back over to her and unbuttoned her shirt. I quickly took it off of her so I could heal her quicker.

Don't worry, she still had a bra on.

I placed my hand onto her ribs, then my hands started emitting the healing green light they'd always glow. After about a minute of healing, Siyuka finally opened her eyes. However... I didn't think of the repercussions of taking her shirt off...

Siyuka: "E-Emiko?!?"

Siyuka's face was beet red as she attempted to move away from me. However the second she tired, she grunted in pain. She grabbed her ribs.

Siyuka: "Shit... that hurt..."

Emiko: "I'm sorry, I needed to take your shirt off so I could heal them. It isn't a permanent fix, but it will do for now"

Siyuka laid her head back onto her pillow as she covered her chest..

Siyuka: "They got away... didn't they...?"

Emiko: "Yeah, they did. But it was only because some stranger helped them"

Siyuka: "What did they look like?"

Emiko: "Red and black cloak, mask covering their face..."

Siyuka's eyes opened wide out of fear.

Siyuka: "D-Did they have big gloves on their hands? With blades on the fingers?"

Emiko: "Yeah, why?"

Siyuka's face filled with worry.

Siyuka: "This is seriously bad!"

Emiko: "What do you mean?"

Siyuka: "There's... something the Gods have been keeping from everyone"

Emiko: "What do you mean?"

Siyuka managed to sit up.

Siyuka: "Mytho-Academy isn't the only school for Demigods. There are others, in separate places around the globe. Hell, some of them don't even worship the Gods anymore. But none of them can get along. It's always been about who can train the stronger Demigods. And... with this most recent incident.... we could be going to war with the other schools"
