Connor

The last thing I remembered was waking up in a red desert. The sand was dark red, while the sky was more blood red. I quickly sat up, remembering I was in Duellum with Siyuka. However when I looked around, there was nothing around me.

Connor: "What the...."

I kept looking around, however there was only sand. I then felt the ground start to rumble, like there was an earthquake. In the distance, I saw a hole start to form in the sand. The sand then started to spiral around the hole, like it was sucking everything in. Thankfully, I was just far away enough to not get pulled in.

However I quickly noticed something start to rise from the hole. First, I saw the black scaled head, along with 2 chaotic yellow eyes. Next, I saw it's long fangs, which could easily pierce the toughest metals. Then, it's head rose into the sky, allowing me to see the blood red of his under skin. It's bones protruding out from its body.

Connor: "A-Apophis"

I practically fell over from fear. I'd dodged death once by him, however I was alone this time. Apophis then spoke in a deep and scratchy, almost echoey voice, with emphasis when he pronounces S.

Apophis: "We meet again, Connor Yukari"

I attempted to yell at him in an intimidating, commanding tone, however it came out more like a whimper.

Connor: "W-What do you want"

Apophis: "Merely to talk, boy"

He started slithering in giant circles around me, very slowly and creepily.

Apophis: "I must thank you, for you have freed me from my infernal damnation"

I wanted to say something in response, but it felt like something had me by the throat. I was practically trembling. This snake was easily as tall as the Empire State Building, and it wasn't even his full length. If you wouldn't be scared by this, you're either a liar or crazy.

Apophis: "However you are not the first to free me. There has been many more, lost in history. Genghis Khan, Vlad the Impaler, Adolf Hitler, all of the evil figures in history are connected to chaos. When enough chaos is produced, I'm freed. However, just like them, I was eventually stopped"

Suddenly, his face appeared right in front of mine, making my heart skip a beat from fear.

Apophis: "However you are a special case. You were not an evil figure, despite how you look to everyone currently"

Connor: "W-What?!"

A giant circle appeared in the air next to me. It was almost like a giant window. However, something started to be projected from it. I could see the stadium, I could see everything around it. I could see Siyuka holding her bow staff with a special stance. I then saw myself, engulfed in a dark red aura, which was about 20 feet tall. The top of the aura formed the head of a snake. I was hunched over, staring directly at Siyuka with a blank, emotionless expression. My eyes were the same as Apophis's eyes, the same chaotic yellow.

Connor: "What's happening!!"

Apophis: "You've given in to your rage and chaos inside you. There exists chaos in everything, however yours is particularly plentiful"

I stared at my unmoving body, which was very unsettling. I watched in horror as the fight continued.

Siyuka: "W-What are you doing?!"

My motionless body just stood there, not saying a word.

Siyuka: "Y-You freak!!"

Siyuka charged me, swinging her bow staff, and hitting me all over. My legs, my arms, my head, my chest, everywhere. However none of the blows seemed to affect me, not even making me flinch or move an inch.

Siyuka: "You bastard!!!"

She condensed a giant ball of lightning onto the tip of the staff. She then slammed the ball of lightning into me. However that didn't affect me either. All I did was stare at her.

Suddenly, my fist slammed into her stomach with the speed of a bullet. The force of it was so strong that it sent her into the wall, cracking the wall. My body then slowly started to limp towards her

Connor: "Oh god!! Stop!! I'm gonna kill her!!"

Apophis: "Why save her? She is a horrible person who would be better off dead. She has wounded many allies just because they spoke up to her. So what's the problem?"

Apophis appeared in my face again.

Apophis: "Don't fight the rage, don't resist the chaos. Let it flow through your body. With my power, you could become a god!!"

Connor: "I-I don't want to!! I won't kill someone!"

Apophis: "You're weak, just like your mother"

I clenched my fist and my face grew fierce.

Connor: "You never knew my mom!!"

Apophis let out a laugh, that shook the ground.

Apophis: "Oh, I knew her, and I know what happened to her"

My breath left my body. My eyes opened wide as shock filled my body.

Connor: "What?! What happened to her!!"

Apophis: "Since it's clear you don't want me here, supplying you with my power, I guess I'll just go, with the knowledge you so desire"

Connor: "NO!! TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!!!"

Apophis: "A great war is coming, Demigod. You and your sister will play a crucial role in it. A word of warning..."

Apophis's body started to get sucked into the hole, with a giant sandstorm picking up, only finishing his sentence before disappearing.

Apophis: "One of you, will not walk out of this war alive..."

When I opened my eyes again, I was back in the arena. The dark red aura was now gone and all my injuries were gone. I wondered if that entire conversation with Apophis was just my imagination, or maybe some weird dream. I looked up and saw Siyuka was still recovering from the powerful punch. The crowd was silent, not a single person made a sound.

Siyuka: "Y-You... *cough cough* I'll kill you...!!"

Siyuka held her staff in the air, making the clouds go dark again.

Siyuka: "I HOPE YOU ROT IN TARTARUS!!!!"

She swung her staff downwards, in which, caused a giant lightning bolt in the shape of a lion to come down from the sky. It shot towards me at incredible speeds. I wasn't going to be able to dodge it. So I did the only thing I could do, I tossed my boomerang sword passed the lightning. Then, right before it hit me, I snapped my fingers and appeared right in front of Siyuka, right where the sword would've been. I quickly grabbed the staff out of her hands, only being successful because she was in disbelief, and pushed her down to the ground. I then held the staff towards her. She looked up at me with a scowl.

Connor: "Looks like I win"

Now, I don't want to sound like I was expecting everyone to start cheering for me, well actually, I was. However no one made a sound.

Suddenly, Odin appeared next to us in a flash of a bright light. He then said something to me, without letting everyone else hear.

Odin: "Meet me in my office after this is over"

Odin then turned to the crowd.

Odin: "The winner is Connor Yukari!!!"

The crowd then started cheering, however I saw a good amount of people who looked like I didn't deserve it. I looked down at my hand and saw the mark had disappeared. I then looked down at Siyuka, who was knocked out.

Connor: "Oh crap! Is she gonna be okay?!"

Odin: "Do not worry, as long as you are within these walls, you will not be able to die. You'll be very close, but not dead"

A couple Roman soldiers came out and put Siyuka on a stretcher. They then carried her off, while I went with Odin.

Now, I've been to all of the wings in this school except for the Norse area. The entire area was like a showy forest, which I guess made sense since Norse mythology originated in the north.

Odin brought me into a big building, which looked like something right out of a Skyrim game.

The inside was nice and cozy, like a log cabin in the woods. Odin took me all the way to the top floor and into a room. This room looked like his work space. It had a desk, bookshelves, and a bunch of tools to make magical items. He sat down at his desk, and signaled me to sit down as well. I sat down in the chair right across the desk. He cleared his throat before speaking.

Odin: "What happened out there? Never in my entire life have I seen a Demigod with that level of power. However that power may not be a good thing..."

Connor: "If I'm being honest... I don't really know either"

Odin: "Did you see anything? Maybe a vision or a dream like scenario?"

Connor: "Actually... yeah. I had a dream where... I was in a giant desert with red sand. Apophis was there"

Odin didn't seem surprised.

Odin: "What did he say?"

Connor: "He told me that he was giving me that power, so when he left, I came back to my body"

Odin: "Did he say anything else?"

Connor: "He said something about a big war. He says it's getting closer and closer"

Odin: "I should've known... I must consult with the other headmasters. Thank you for seeing me"

Odin stood up, walking towards the door.

Connor: "W-Wait, he said something about my mom, he said he knew her"

Odin stopped in his tracks.

Odin: "You mustn't listen to a word that accursed serpent says. He'll say anything to manipulate you"

Connor: "But what if it isn't a lie? What if he really knew my mom"

Odin: "That I cannot say. However that question is something only you can solve"

Odin then walked out of the office, with me soon following. I made my way back to the main building. The second I walked in, a bunch of students ran up to me and started giving me compliments. Stating that they were thankful for me for putting Siyuka in her place. I managed to push past them, and made my way to the Greek wing. I went inside the pantheon, where I saw Angel, Emiko, Kaito, and Himari waiting. The second Emiko saw me, she ran over and hugged me tightly.

Emiko: "Thank god you're okay!!"

Connor: "Since when are you the type to worry?"

Emiko: "Say one more stupid thing and I'll hit you"

Emiko backed up, so I could breathe. She may look weak, but she has an iron grip. Angel then walked up to me.

Angel: "I-I'm sorry my tools didn't help you much"

Connor: "No, don't worry about it. That smoke bomb came in handy"

Kaito: "Did you choose that weapon solely because the handle was made of rubber?"

Connor: "Not entirely, but it was a big factor. If it didn't have the rubber handle, I would've lost"

Himari: "Wait, so since you won, Siyuka is now your slave!!"

Emiko: "PLEASE don't word it like that"

Connor: "I'll make her apologize to Angel, then I'll let her off the hook"

Emiko: "Good, way to be responsible. But still, it would be nice to have someone to do our work"

Angel blushed a tiny bit when I said I'd make Siyuka apologize.

Angel: "Y-You did all of that for me...?"

Connor: "Of course, I'm not just gonna let her get away with those insults. She probably did worse to you before I got here"

Angel blushed a little harder.

Angel: "T-Thank you"

Emiko looked at Angel, then me, then Angel, then me again, then Angel again. Her eyes then opened wide.

Emiko: "LE GASP!!!!!"

Well well well, looks like another successful chapter!!

I hope you all enjoyed this first part of this story. The past few chapters was only the start. Now, we get into the meat of the story! And I have BIG plans!
