Oh hell yeah!!

Talk about a power up!!

My body was engulfed in the blood red aura, which Apophis gave me when he possessed me, before the aura condensed into my sword's blade. My body felt full of energy, and I felt like I could run a marathon no sweat.

Driam got off of the ground, staring at me with confusion.

Driam: "I recognize that energy... Apophis! Why are you helping your enemies!!!"

I smiled smugly.

Connor: "No Apophis, just a boy who's about to kick some ass"

I swung my sword towards Driam. The second I did, a wave of the red energy shot out of my blade. As it flew through the air, it sharpened. Driam used the blood on the ground and thrusted his hands upwards. The blood rose from the ground and hardened into a literal blood wall. The second my attack hit the wall, it shattered like glass. It went right through and continued its path towards Driam. Driam managed to roll out of the way.

Connor: "That was freaking awesome!!"

Driam: "Y-You're using Apophis' power! He's helping you!! He betrayed me!!!!!"

He slammed his fist into the ground. Suddenly, blood started to seep through the ground, almost like it had been stored there. I felt a little nauseous, but I managed to keep myself calm.

After a few seconds, the blood gathered around Driam. There had to be at least 500 gallons of blood surrounding him. My excitement quickly turned into rage.

Connor: "H-How many people have you killed!?!"

Driam's face was completely distorted.

Driam: "There's been so many screams and cries, I've lost count!"

He started laughing maniacally. He thrusted his hand towards me, and a stream of blood shot right at me. I swung my sword downwards, cutting the stream in two. I turned around and saw it coming at me from behind. I quickly jumped out of the way, making the blood hit the ground.

I was in mid jump when I saw another stream shooting right at me. I wasn't able to dodge, and I didn't have enough time to swing my sword.

Suddenly, Kaito appeared in front of me. He swung his giant sword, cutting right through the blood stream.

Connor: "Took you guys long enough"

Kaito: "Hey man, you're the one who wanted to do this alone"

The others ran up to us, even Idril, who seemed to be doing a little better. Some of her bruises were fading away.

Connor: "You should go rest"

Idril looked into my eyes with determination.

Idril: "N-No! I want to help you fight. I won't sit here and do nothing while you're all risking your lives"

I smiled at her.

Connor: "We need all the help we can get. Welcome to team Demigod"

Emiko: "We need to come up with a better team name..."

Himari suddenly shouted.

Himari: "Heads up!"

Hundreds of small hardened blood shards shot towards us. Kaito stepped in front of us and drove his sword into the ground, creating a kind of shield. However it wouldn't be enough to block all of them.

Himari: "Guess it's time to impress my girlfriend"

Emiko blushed a bright red.

Emiko: "Y-You better not be referring to me!"

Himari winked at Emiko. Himari let the chains on her bracelets extend until they were touching the ground.

Himari: "Kaito! Aerial attack!"

Kaito pulled his sword out from the ground and held it above his head. Himari leaped onto the sword, and the second she was on it, Kaito pushed upwards with it, sending Himari into the air. She swung her arms all around, sending the chains flying all over the place. However each movement of her arms was like a whip. One after another, the gems on the end of the chains smashed the blood shards until they were all destroyed.

Emiko: "Way to go!!"

Himari landed on her feet.

I thought Driam looked scary when he was laughing like a crazy person. But his pissed off face was just terrifying.

Driam: "You... you insolent mortals!! You're no match against my blood magic!!!!"

Suddenly, Kaito raised his sword and slashed at me. I managed to dodge and jump back.

Connor: "Kaito?! What the hell, man!"

Kaito: "My body's moving on its own!"

Himari tried to kick Idril, however she managed to dodge.

Himari: "S-Sorry! I-I can't control my body!"

Angel formed her soul spear and thrusted multiple times towards Emiko, however she managed to parry them all with her bow.

Angel: "I-I'm so sorry! Stay away from me!"

Kaito, Himari, and Angel formed up around Driam, almost like they were guarding him.

The only ones who weren't affected were me, Emiko, and Idril.

Connor: "What did you do to them?!"

Driam: "I've simply taken over their bodies by controlling the blood inside them. I'll enjoy watching them rip you to pieces!!"

I quickly turned to Idril.

Connor: "What can you do?"

Idril: "I use a very powerful magic, but I need my rune stone for it. With it, I could end this quickly"

I looked at Driam, and saw a stone peaking out of his pocket.

Connor: "Of course it's on him... Okay, Emiko, back me up. Idril, you wait here, I'll get you your rune stone"

Emiko: "Are you serious?! You can't fight them all off at once"

I looked down at my sword, and I saw the red aura was started to fade away.

Connor: "Trust me, I got this. Just cover me"

Emiko drew her bow.

Emiko: "You better know what you're doing"

I started running straight to them, ready to swing my sword. Kaito tried swinging his sword, however with a few arrows from Emiko, he had to dodge them, allowing me to pass him. Next was Himari. She threw her gems, which were attached to the end of her chains, at me. The gems weighed a lot, and would've done some serious damage if they hit me. However I managed to slam the flat of my blade into them, deflecting them back at Himari. They then wrapped around her, binding her arms to her sides.

Connor: "Sorry Himari!"

Himari: "It's fine! Not the first time!"

Finally, Angel was up. She was probably the easiest out of all 3 to take down. I ran up to her and kissed her on the lips. Her face was completely red, and... so was mine. She was then in a daze, not able to think straight or control her body.

Connor: "Sorry, I'll make it up to you later"

I ran passed her, without any resistance.

I bet Emiko was judging me super hard.

I ran towards Driam, who was staring at me with murderous intent. He thrusted both arms towards me, and all the blood he'd gathered shot at me like a tidal wave. I focused the red aura back into my blade and swung it directly at him. The wave of energy created from my sword clashed with the wave of blood, and my attack cut right through it. The blood didn't even touch me. Thank god...

I dashed towards him, only a few feet away now. Driam grabbed his knife he'd used to cut his arms, and swung it at me. However I managed to dodge it. I then slammed my first right into the side of his head. When he was off balance, I grabbed the rune stone out of his pocket and jumped back. I picked up my sword and ran back to Emiko and Idril.

Emiko gave me a smug look.

Emiko: "We're so having a conversation about you and Angel later"

Connor: "Yeah, yeah"

I turned to Idril and held out her rune stone.

Connor: "Here"

Idril: "T-Thank you so much!"

Idril took ahold of it. She stepped in front of us, then held the rune stone into the air. The stone started to glow a bright white light. Suddenly, time slowed down to almost a halt, all around us. Kaito, Himari, Angel, and Driam were all frozen in time. However Emiko, Idril and I weren't affected.

Emiko: "What the...?"

Idril turned to us.

Idril: "I specialize in time magic, the most powerful form of magic in the 9 realms"

Connor: "You have got to teach me that!"

Idril giggled.

Idril: "Maybe. It's very difficult. But for now, let's focus on them"

I looked over, and saw they weren't even moving.

Idril: "Easy victory"

I walked over to Driam, prepared to end this. I raised my sword, ready to drive it into his heart. Since time was frozen, he wouldn't be able to respond to my attack by hardening his blood. This was our only chance to take him down.

I prepared to swing my sword down when I heard Idril call out.

Idril: "Connor! Don't!"

I turned to her.

Connor: "Why? This bastard deserves it. Look at what he did to you, and all the elves he's tortured and killed. He needs to go straight to hell for that"

Idril ran up to me and grabbed me from behind as I was about to drive the sword into Driam.

Idril: "P-Please! I'm begging you!! Don't kill him!!"

I looked back at her to see she was crying.

Connor: "Why do you want him to live?"

Idril: "I-If you kill him, you'll be just as bad as he is"

Connor: "I get that, but aren't you mad? He tortured you"

Idril: "That doesn't matter. We have to be better than him..."

I lowered my sword, realizing she was right.

Connor: "Thanks..."

Emiko walked over to us. She stood in front of Driam and kicked him between his legs, with a satisfied look on her face.

Emiko: "What should we do with him?"

Connor: "We could probably take him back to Mytho-Academy. They have a dungeon, according to Kaito"

Emiko: "Why does that not surprise me..."

Idril held out her rune stone, and a glowing white rope formed and wrapped around Driam, binding his arms to his sides.

Connor: "How much can that stone do?"

Idril's face grew a tiny bit pink.

Idril: "You'd be surprised. It can form magical items, such as the rope I'm using to bind him. It can also manipulate time, so I can slow it down or speed it up"

Idril tapped the rune stone with her thumb, and time unfroze. Driam fell over and onto the ground. He started squirming and shouting on the ground.

Driam: "How dare you!!! Release me this instant!!!!"

I looked behind me and saw everyone was back to normal. They were no longer under Driam's control. Angel quickly ran over to me and started hitting me the chest while blushing wildly.

Angel: "Y-You're so mean...!"

Connor: "W-What did I do?"

Angel whispered in my ear.

Angel: "Y-You kissed me in front of everyone..."

Connor: "It was the quickest way to subdue you without hurting you"

Angel: "T-There were many other ways...!"

Himari: "Aw! Connor and Angel are so cute!"

Himari turned to Emiko.

Himari: "Why didn't you kiss me to subdue me?"

Emiko: "Because Connor had it handled"

Himari: "Come on! I need some kisses too!"

Himari tried to go in to kiss Emiko, however Emiko quickly put her arm out and held Himari back.

Emiko: "Not on your life"

Himari tried to get Emiko's arm away, however Emiko wouldn't budge.

Himari: "You're such a tsundere!"

Kaito suddenly intervened, looking down at Driam.

Kaito: "What should we do with him?"

Connor: "We should take him to Mytho-Academy, let them deal with him"

Kaito: "Right, I'll open a portal"

Kaito held up his hand out, and his crocodile ring started glowing a white light. A swirling portal appeared in front of him, showing the entrance of the school on the other side.

Kaito: "I'll take him. You guys just hang here, I won't be gone long"

Kaito grabbed Driam, however he screamed something before Kaito closed the portal behind him.

Driam: "Apophis will spill your blood across across all realms!!! It will be a beautiful sight!!!!"

Driam's insane laughter could be heard until the portal closed behind them. Ignoring his words, I turned to Idril.

Connor: "When Kaito comes back, you wanna go to Mytho-Academy? You'll be safe at the school"

Idril: "N-No, I want to help you. I overheard Driam talking about your mission, and I want to go with you"

Angel: "We're going to find Apophis, and... we're not sure if we'll get out of this alive. If you come with us, you'll be in a lot of danger"

Idril: "I don't care, I owe you all my life. I would've been killed like all the others if you didn't come along"

Connor: "You don't owe us a thing, we're just glad we could help"

Idril suddenly grabbed onto my arm and hugged it. She then nuzzled her head against my shoulder, blushing slightly, but with a kind smile.

Idril: "I need to find a way to repay you somehow. So I'll be your servant instead of Driam's"

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little embarrassed.

Connor: "H-Huh?! S-Servant?!"

Angel suddenly grabbed onto my other arm and started hugging it as well.

Angel: "H-Hands off! He's taken!"

Idril and Angel started pulling my arms, trying to pull me towards them. I looked over to Emiko for some help, but she was just standing there laughing.

Kaito's portal formed a few feet away, and Kaito stepped through. He stared at me, then sighed while laughing a little.

Kaito: "I... don't even want to know"

I noticed he was holding something in his hand. It was a small scroll.

Connor: "Hey Kaito, what's that?"

Kaito: "No clue, one of the school's guards handed it to me"

Emiko: "Let me see it"

Kaito handed it to Emiko. She unrolled it and looked at what was on it. The second her eyes were on it, her face went pale.

Himari: "What's on it?"

Emiko looked up at us.

Emiko: "The attack is tonight"

Connor: "WHAT?!"

Angel: "I thought we had more time!"

Idril: "Time moves slower in Alfheim compared to Midgard. Right now, It'd be early morning there"

Himari: "Then we need to go, now!"

Kaito: "Connor, you better be right about this. He better be in Long Beach Island"

Connor: "I hope"

Kaito held his hand out, creating another portal. This time, there was an image of a beach on the other side.

Connor: "I'd recognize that beach anywhere. That's it"

Emiko: "Oh yeah, the smell is as amazing as I remember"

We could smell the salt water, the warm breeze, and all the other things at the beach.

Connor: "Team Demigod, let's do this"

Emiko: "Seriously need to come up with a better name"

I took a deep breath, then we all stepped through the portal.
