Vampires used to be a proud race. They still are. Humans overpowered them, however, with their bigger numbers and weapons once they parted from humanity.
Vampires were punished well, even now after thousands of years.
A young vampire, Yoongi, has lived for a while. But he's seemingly still a child in the eyes of vampires.
Two hundred years old.
The exact age where you get sold to become the perfect servant for humans.
Yoongi has always been fascinated by humans. How could their kinds look so similar to them? Theirs held more differences and choices than them, but he didn't mind.
In these places called VSold Cemeteries, vampires got the strength they needed to look presentable for humans.
Yoongi was excited. He drank just a bit more blood than allowed to make his ruby eyes stand out, he brushed his fangs in every position until they shone, he made sure to dress well and wash himself clean, even though they never gave off a scent.
Yoongi looked human, minus the fangs, red eyes, and slightly pointed ears.
Even though Yoongi was excited to be chosen by a human to serve, his race could be described as the most dangerous to hold.
Although classical, red eyes were a sign of insanity. Not truly insane, but they're rabid. They're sinister and obsessive.
Their senses are much sharper than normal vampires of other races, their desires must be stilled within hours of them appearing.
Vampires like Yoongi were hated for their unpredictable behavior, but loved for their loyalty.
He himself was a little evil. He doesn't care for other vampires. He cares about who he's going to call his master.
His hands are cuffed with strong metal wristbands, his eyes growing wide with excitement at all of the humans.
They're here for them. For him.
Yoongi growls at every vampire who gets sold before him. Presented and taken.
Most vampires are those with pink eyes or yellow ones. The safe ones.
But when Yoongi is called and guided to the stage, his heart can't stop pounding.
Across the sea of humans he can smell all of them. He stands straight, throwing a lock of hair from his eyes so people can clearly see him.
Some gasp at the sight of him. Others stay quiet. Others immediately raise their hand and name a price without hearing the starting bet.
The man starting it?
A young man in a suit. He doesn't look confident at all. Not about his buy. Not about himself.
The man has neatly styled chestnut hair, deep brown eyes shakily staring into those of the vampire's.
The man had shakily started with the offer of two thousand dollars. Dollars. Not won.
Most gasped at this, but one other from the crowd raised her hand and did an even higher bid.
Yoongi's smile only grew.
That is until one man, an elder man, makes a bid.
"Six hundred thousand dollars."
The man who started the bid drops his hand hesitantly. He's given up.
"Going once, going twice,"
Yoongi smiles widely at the elder man, proudly showing his fangs.
The elder smiles back at him.
Everything seemed to turn out great for the vampire. It seemed to. But it didn't.
°•●•°
The man turned out to be a part of the AVS. An Anti-Vampire-Socialization member.
Yoongi pleaded for the man to stop and let him go astray. A horrid shameful sin of any vampire. But the man refused.
Yoongi's loyalty was abused, as was he.
His back was struck with scars of iron. Those that weren't able to heal. His face scarred with a knife to his eye. Causing a permanent reminder of this man.
But Yoongi had enough.
He finally went in against his nature. He went in against his kind. His rules. His law.
He attacked his master at night, ending the man's life by a bite full of poison.
Then he ran. He ran away and hid, surviving on little animals like rats.
He became so lonely. He got used to using his supernatural hearing to listen to humans and talk to them silently as if he was involved in it.
He was lonely and sad. Astray.
People and vampires who saw him would scowl or cuss at him. Telling him what a disgrace he is to their kind.
Yoongi answers shortly. Always agreeing. As is his nature to do so.
Sitting against the wall of an ally, Yoongi shivers in the cold. The winter wind blows hard through the town.
No one is outside. Why would they be with this weather?
Yoongi cuddles a lonely rat, talking to it with clattering teeth.
But he flinches and turns with big eyes when he hears a voice. A voice he hasn't forgotten.
"Hey... Are you okay?"
Yoongi shakes his head violently. "N-no..."
The man walks up to him and kneels down besides him, giving him a sweet smile before taking off the big wooly coat he has on, gently laying it over Yoongi's shoulders.
The vampire shakes his head, reaching to give it back, when the man pulls a big warm scarf from his bag and puts it on.
"Keep it." He says. "Even astray vampires deserve love in these cold needed times."
Yoongi stares at him. "You... You bid for me. You bid money on me ten years ago."
The man tilts his head a little.
He gently reaches to tilt Yoongi's chin, but the vampire immediately snaps to bite him.
Flashes of the old man coming for him fill his eyes, tears falling down his cheeks.
The sight of vulnerability makes the man gasp.
"You're a trauma patient."
Yoongi shakes his head. "I-I'm not! I have no traumas!"
"It's okay to feel this way." He man says softly. "Traumas are normal. Even for vampires like you."
Yoongi shakes his head violently. "I can't show weakness... I musn't. I shouldn't... I can't... I--"
"Easy." The man smiles. "My name is Kim Namjoon. I own the hospital a few blocks away."
"H-hospital?"
He nods. "Let me help you. It's okay to be helped."
Yoongi shakes his head. "I can't... I've broken laws... Far too many..."
"This is not breaking a law." Namjoon eases. "I'm asking you to allow me to help. I'm asking permission. For a choice."
Yoongi looks up at him. "Choices are for humans... Not for vampires."
Namjoon smiles. "Very well. Than come with me. Follow me to the hospital."
Yoongi shivers at the sound of the name, but he shakily gets up and nods. He mumbles the words he hasn't spoken in a long time.
"As you wish..."
Namjoon gives him a sweet smile, grabbing his hand and guiding him out. The cold wind engulfs them, having Yoongi squeak out in pain at the hit against his scars.
Namjoon holds him tight, taking him to the hospital through Yoongi's soft sniffles from the pain.
Even inside, Yoongi keeps shivering.
But now that Namjoon gets a good look at him, he finally recognizes those eyes. That face.
"I did bid on you." He mumbles. "Min Yoongi, right? Code Red?"
Yoongi nods. "That's me..."
Namjoon smiles sadly at the sight of the large vertical scar on Yoongi's eye.
"I should have bid higher..."
Yoongi frowns, shaking his head. "No. Fate was fate."
"Look at you!" Namjoon bursts. "You're cold! Scarred! You've been hurt! You took it because your nature never let you disobey! But look at you..."
Yoongi looks down, sighing.
"You're skinny... When was the last time you ate? When was the last time you drank blood?"
Yoongi grimaces at his memory. "Ten years ago..."
"TEN YEARS?!!"
"It's not as bad as it sounds." Yoongi says quickly. "I can hold it! My fangs don't hurt that much!"
"I'm taking you to the doctor right now." Namjoon growls, grabbing his wrist, giving Yoongi no time to protest.
Pulled into a room, Yoongi's eyes grow wide at the man before him. A vampire himself. Sea blue eyes stare back at him.
Yoongi nods his head a little, bowing slightly before the mightier vampire. A vampire with blue eyes, more deep and clear, like this, are perfect vampires. They're smart, agile, fast, obedient, and yet have their own will to speak.
This vampire smiles at him.
"It's okay." He says. "You're safe here."
Hearing those words from a higher vampire than him, makes Yoongi calm down a little. He bites his lip, his heart slowly easing to rest after years of uneasy sins crawling on his back.
He sniffles, wiping away his welling tears.
Namjoon still holds him tight, adjusting his arms to cuddle the young vampire.
The vampire takes over Namjoon's hold, gently guiding Yoongi to the chair and laying him down.
"You're safe in here." The vampire repeats.
"Hoseok, he hasn't had blood in ten years... Is it permanently scarring?" Namjoon asks softly.
The blue-eyed vampire looks down at Yoongi, sighing a little. "If it had any consequences, I'm afraid so. Vampires live on blood. Not having it means to reject your nature as cause of trauma. Other than underfed, he seems to be in order. He has a simple cold, but that's all."
Namjoon sighs in relief. "Thank you..."
Hoseok smiles at him. "Take him to the next room over. They'll examine him for the blood he needs to get back in shape--"
"NO!" Yoongi screams, shaking his head violently. "NO!! I CAN'T!!"
Hoseok caresses his hair calmly. "You can't what?"
"I CAN'T!! I DON'T WANT TO!!" Yoongi screams, thick tears running down his cheeks as he grabs his shirt and pulls at it in frustration. "NO MORE BLOOD!!"
The answer shocks both men. Blood should tempt vampires, especially red-eyed ones. But Yoongi seems to hate it with all of his soul.
Going as far as to risk dying because of a trauma...
"Dear, you have to drink. You're going to die if you don't..." Hoseok says softly.
Yoongi's cries only get louder. "NO!! LET ME DIE!! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!!"
Namjoon looks down at Yoongi's body. He should have bid higher. Who cares if he went in debt. What happened to Yoongi he could have prevented...
Hoseok sighs and turns away, reaching out to grab a sharp needle.
Yoongi's eyes go wide and he shakes his head even more, slowly falling asleep when the substance in the needle is injected into him.
Immediately, Hoseok moves over to the next room, after a few minutes coming back with a large bag of blood. It's a mix of all. Yoongi's body will adapt to it himself.
He twists a tube on the end, sliding the open needle end into Yoongi's skin on his upper arm.
The blood immediately flows down, entering Yoongi's body.
Namjoon notices that the more his body takes, the more color appears on his face. He looks healthier...
"Where did you find him?" Hoseok asks softly, running his fingers through Yoongi's hair.
"In an alleyway. He was hurt..."
"I can see."
"I... I could have bought him. He was instead bought by an older man. Ten years ago the man died and his vampire was nowhere to be found. This is the vampire who was lost."
"What does that have to do with his scars?"
"I think the man abused him." Namjoon mumbles. "He reacts like he has a trauma. Even the needle and his fear for blood explains it all."
Hoseok nods slightly. "So... He escaped his home?"
"He killed his owner."
Hoseok sighs. "It's sad to see vampires as loyal as him abused and scarred."
"It's sad I didn't have the money at the time." Namjoon says softly. "I liked him a lot from the first time I heard about him. He was described as energetic and loyal, a perfect servant. The way he was shown on stage. It showed he was excited. I saw the confidence and desperation in his eyes. I had such a feeling he could help accomplish equal rights for vampires. And I let it go..."
Hoseok smiles gently at him. "It's not your fault. If it wasn't him chosen, another vampire, maybe even a Green-leveled vampire, would have been abused. He took it and survived."
Namjoon sighs. "I still feel horrible."
Looking at Yoongi's unconscious body, Namjoon feels hatred boiling within him. For himself. For the old man and the war they won hundreds of years ago.
Humans used to fight humans. Race for race. Now, vampires are their victims. And their nature forces them to accept it.
"Don't think too much about it." Hoseok says. "Take him home. Let him meet Seokjin. Perhaps their similarities will help him grow again."
Namjoon shakes his head. "You know how Seokjin is. He hates other vampires as much as he hates himself. Even with his arms cuffed from month to month he manages to bite himself! How does he get to his calves?!"
Hoseok chuckles. "We are quite flexible."
Namjoon looks back at Yoongi. "The only way Seokjin stops biting is with pure human blood, but when he's done he cries and starts apologizing furiously. How do I know they'll both stay away from each other's throats?"
Hoseok smiles at him. "He didn't attack me. He's probably too scared to do so."
Namjoon sighs shortly before nodding. "Very well. I'll take him home. Can you take him in for a day? I'll set things up at home and talk it over with Jin."
Hoseok nods. "I'll keep him. He might even be unconscious until you're back, depending on how much blood he needs."
Namjoon thanks him shortly and quietly lays his hand on Yoongi's clenched fist.
He smiles, giving it a gentle squeeze before leaving, wrapping his scarf tighter and going home.
°•●•°
The door slams closed due to the wind and immediately a purple-eyed vampire runs up to him.
His eyes are big and teary as he hugs the human tightly, Namjoon chuckling and holding him.
"Was I gone for too long?"
The vampire nods against his chest.
"I'm sorry, Jin. I had an emergency."
"Your work doesn't have emergencies." Seokjin mutters. "You liar."
"I never said it was for work."
Seokjin growls.
"I saw a vampire on my way home. He was badly hurt and underfed. Just like you, he was traumatized."
Seokjin frowns.
"I send him to Hoseok for treatment. That's why I'm a bit late."
Seokjin sighs softly and pulls away, scowling at him with bared fangs. One of them is stubby, still growing from a recent incident.
"I get what you're trying to do for us." Seokjin says. "But I don't think it's right. You can't force us to go against our nature."
"I got you to refuse it."
"That's different!"
"It's not." Namjoon smiles. "You, as well as many other vampires, are not happy with their lives. Some people take vampires just to show off or to keep them as servants. Do you remember when I found you?"
Seokjin nods. "How can I forget?"
"This vampire needs help too. He's going to stay for a few years until he's capable of being adopted by a new master who respects the work I do."
Seokjin growls. "Namjoon. With all due respect, I don't think humans think the way you do. The owner of the VSC is filthy rich! He will never see another way!"
"It doesn't have to be him--"
"WITH HIM NO HUMAN WILL SEE THE TRUTH ABOUT US!!" Seokjin hisses loudly. "That man is evil!"
"And I fully agree!" Namjoon counters. "But violence will prove us wrong!"
"Violence is what will stop him!"
"Seokjin! This is enough!"
The vampire's eyes widen at Namjoon's tone before he bares his fangs.
"If you won't do it than I will. You have the power to stop him!"
"But I won't." Namjoon snarls. "Not the way you say I must."
"I refuse to sit here..." Seokjin hisses at him. "I refuse! You must do something! Anything!"
"With two vampires on my hands I will do something." Namjoon barks. "I'll take care of the both of you. But you will stay and recover. Without your fang you can't do anything violent related."
"It's not completely gone. Just broken." Seokjin huffs, crossing his arms. "I can still fight."
Namjoon crosses his arms as well. "I am full for rights for vampires but until you learn how to behave you are not getting one step closer to that man."
Seokjin growls at him. "Fine." He snarls. "Go play fetch with that other vampire then."
"It's not like that!"
"Really?"
"Really!"
Seokjin looks away. "I'm going to bed." He mutters.
"Seokjin..."
"Goodnight."
Namjoon sighs as Seokjin slams the door shut. He runs a hand through his hair, sighing and locking the door, going to bed as well.
But still, he wonders if the two vampires will get along.
°•●•°
The next day, Seokjin growls as he walks with Namjoon to the hospital.
He got a call from Hoseok that Yoongi woke up, confused and dizzy. The vampire was extremely hot and his vision was blurry.
Hoseok thinks his lack of blood caused this doze to earn him a well deserved resting day with an extra dose of sickness he didn't want.
Seokjin wanted to see the vampire for himself. Who could possibly have had worse than him?
Upon entering, Namjoon's face grows in worry, hearing Yoongi's loud screams and cries.
Seokjin whines at the noise, but seeing his friend so worried had him thinking just a little different...
He takes a silent hold of his hand, giving Namjoon just a little comfort.
When they see Yoongi through the glass window, the sight breaks even Seokjin.
The black-haired's eyes are red with tears, cheeks wet and stained, his lips quivering as he rocks himself back and forth on the ground, screaming in his cries.
Seokjin gulps, looking up at Namjoon, who himself as well, looks broken for the man.
"Please, you have to eat--"
"NO!!"
"Yoongi..."
"KEEP THAT AWAY FROM ME!!"
Yoongi kicks up at the doctor trying to feed him, hitting him in the stomach as he turns on his heels and flees away, hiding under the table in the far corner of the room.
Even in the darkness there, his stained cheeks glinster.
Seokjin chokes down a sob himself, growling at his shown weakness. He breaks his hand contact with Namjoon and abruptly opens the door, slamming it shut.
He growls to himself as the doctor tells him to leave.
But Seokjin instead kneels down by the table.
"Hey..."
Yoongi flinches, his entire body shaking in fear at the yellow eyes who stare back at him.
"W-who are you?!" Yoongi sobs.
"My name is Seokjin. The man who brought you here yesterday is my master. Or... used to be. He's my friend now."
Yoongi only buries himself closer into the corner.
"But it's okay..." Seokjin mutters softly. "I used to be just like you. Scared... scarred. How similar those words are, isn't it funny?" He chuckles sadly.
Yoongi sniffles, but doesn't answer.
Namjoon watches with wide eyes as Seokjin reaches out his hand.
But he pulls his hand back the second it's outstretched.
Yoongi snaps his fangs towards him, almost hitting him. His body starts shaking again and he bursts into tears.
He rocks himself back and forth again, mumbling an apology over and over.
Seokjin feels his heart break at the sight. He's seen many trauma patients, but most are willing to eat.
The doctor watches them calmly, not saying a word as Seokjin slowly crawls under the table with Yoongi.
"Did I scare you?"
Yoongi nods.
"I'm sorry..." Seokjin sighs. "I... I used to be scared of that too... But you know what helped me?"
Yoongi shakes his head, wiping his hand along his nose, sniffling.
Seokjin bites his lip, choking back a cry and a tear at his own trauma memory.
He grabs Yoongi's arm and pulls him towards him. Yoongi starts screaming, but he quickly silences.
Seokjin wraps his arms tightly around his tiny body, tears slowly falling down his cheeks.
"Namjoon... H-he hugged me..." Seokjin whimpers. "He told m-me I was going to be f-fine..."
Yoongi gulps.
"H-he told me... h-he would a-always be there f-for me... I n-no longer h-had to f-fear..."
Seokjin sniffles through his words, slow tears falling from his eyes as his grip tightens.
"J-just like you... I w-was a-abused... and a-abandoned... B-but everything is okay n-now!"
His grip tightens again.
"N-now I'm here... I'm h-here for you t-too..."
Yoongi slowly holds Seokjin's shirt, pulling at it as more tears start falling. His sniffles are heard, his cries becoming louder as Seokjin buries his head in his neck.
He can feel Seokjin crying. He can feel the soft vibrations of his crying voice against his skin.
Yoongi holds on tighter, crying his heart out again. This is what he needed. A hug from someone who understands. Someone to tell him he understands.
Namjoon slowly starts to smile when the doctor gives him a gentle nod. He comes inside, his heart warming and breaking at their simultaneous cries.
Seokjin is a tough vampire to crack, but when he breaks, he breaks good.
Even now, he still has his habits. The habits Namjoon tried so hard to break because that mean abusive woman taught him it.
But he never could...
A few minutes pass until their loud cries slowly die down into sniffles and sobs.
Seokjin crawls back out underneath, and slowly, Yoongi also peeks his head out.
He flinches at the sight of Namjoon.
But Namjoon only smiles kindly at him. "Good morning."
"How much did you hear?" Seokjin grumbles, sniffling.
"Nothing." Namjoon replies. "I got inside eight minutes ago."
Yoongi looks down, hesitantly crawling out and holding onto Seokjin's arm.
He hides behind the taller, looking down.
"I have a headache..." He whispers softly.
Namjoon chuckles. "That tends to happen when you cry a lot."
"Why are you even here...?" Yoongi growls softly. "To check on if I fed?"
"I told you I'd protect you." Namjoon says. "So I will. You've met my first succeeded vampire already."
Yoongi looks up at Seokjin who smiles at him.
"He saved me from an abusive woman."
"Nothing compared to me..." Yoongi mutters. "I don't want any help... I don't want to be saved... Just let me die like I was intended to the night he came for me."
"Your past master?"
Yoongi shakes his head, growling deeply. He refuses to answer.
Namjoon sighs. "How is he doing?" He asks the doctor.
"He can come with you. Just keep feeding him and make sure it's enough to keep him healthy."
Namjoon nods, but Yoongi widens his eyes and shakes his head violently. Seokjin slides his hand down to intertwine it with Yoongi's, the vampire letting out a deep sigh of relief.
The taller vampire looks down at him.
"Don't worry." He whispers. "Namjoon will take good care of you. As will I."
"Y-you obey his orders as I obey mine..." Yoongi gulps. "Vampires are servants to the human race..."
Seokjin growls. "I don't. I don't obey anyone's orders but my own."
"Impossible..."
"But it is." Namjoon smiles. "I've cured Seokjin, and I can cure you as well. You just have to want it."
"I don't want it..." Yoongi hisses.
Seokjin squeezes his hand. "Then at least come with us. Let us give you a new home."
Yoongi bares his fangs, hissing loudly. "You can't give me a new home! I am loyal to my master!"
Namjoon sighs. "Your master is gone..."
Yoongi growls lowly. He pulls away from Seokjin and exits the room, hissing for them to leave him alone.
Yoongi hears the door open. Seokjin yells his name. Yoongi shakes his head, hissing loudly at him.
Yoongi rushes out of the hospital, shivering at the cold. He looks back to see Seokjin running after him.
He wastes no time to take a left turn, jumping over fences and climbing over gates.
Seokjin yells his name, following him.
He takes the last turn, panting, but coming to a halt when there is a tall fence in their way.
Within the fences is a graveyard. Yoongi kneeled down at the far end, sniffling and wiping along his eyes.
Seokjin slowly climbs over the fence, meeting with Yoongi.
He looks at the gravestone.
"Your master was Song Eunji?"
"Yes..."
Seokjin kneels down beside him. "Do you visit his grave often?"
"Every night."
"Why? The man was a tyrant."
Yoongi growls at him. "He was my master. I'm loyal to him. Even after my sin..."
"I didn't know you believed in God."
"I don't. But I still sinned."
"You should not feel sorry for living your own life." Seokjin says. "You lived, Yoongi. You lived when you killed him. Accept what you did and own it with pride."
"No..." Yoongi whimpers. "No... I can't."
"Accept it, Yoongi." Seokjin mumbles. "My owner got buried too. I never visited her. She was horrible to me and I never regret the things I did to her."
"But my master never deserved to die by my hands." Yoongi gulps. "My master never deserved to die..."
"Yoongi, please, come home with me." Seokjin begs. "Who came for you...?"
Yoongi sighs deeply. "Kim Taehyung came for me."
"... The Kim Taehyung?"
Nodding, Yoongi growls. "He came to bring me back. To resell me. I refused. But he... he hurt me. But I refused. I ran away. He is a mad man..."
Seokjin smirks a little. "I've always wanted to kill him. But no matter, Namjoon won't let me. I can't fully deny my vampiric nature. His strongest orders are those I simply cannot break."
Yoongi shares a hiss with him, taking a deep breath. "I share the feelings."
Seokjin looks at him. "We won't have to tell Namjoon." He hisses. "We can go to VSold. We can kill the man who did this to us. Who forces us into this life."
"We are just two vampires." Yoongi growls. "We will never be able to pass his guards or vampire servant. He's loyal. Dangerous."
Seokjin frowns. "You're right. And with my fear of crowds and your fear or blood we won't get far."
Yoongi scowls. "When I was young I was so reckless. I easily could have killed him back then, but he wasn't live back then."
"That's it!"
Yoongi looks at him. "What is?"
Seokjin gets up. "What you said about being young! Aren't there humans with, like... vampire blood within them?"
"Yeah...?"
"If we can find them... and get them to our side... We rebel against him! We can transform the humans into what they truly are! What they are meant to have been from the start!"
Yoongi's eyes widen, slowly getting up from his spot.
"Seokjin... You're a genius!"
"Do you have any idea where to start?"
"A little research on the streets will do."
°•●•°
A few weeks pass by. Yoongi has slowly been learning how to drink blood again, and Seokjin has taken the lead in the secrer rebellion.
Namjoon is getting more and more proud every day of how well his two vampires handle each other.
But much more lies beneath their good-looks and good behavior.
Yoongi has been practicing a lot with Seokjin on his blood trauma. And it works wonders from a trauma victim himself.
But not only that. Tens to fifties of humans have noticed their cause and have joined them. Not only as half-breeds, but as full vampires and humans.
And slowly Seokjin has noticed something...
Sometimes Yoongi and Seokjin would speak in full vampiric and go over their practicing for the rebellion, Namjoon usually shows something.
Even just practicing a command, when Namjoon is in the room, there always is that one small sign.
Thus Seokjin dug a little deeper. In Namjoon's birth documents, he found exactly what he needed to know.
Namjoon was not birthed by a vampire, nor was his father a vampire.
But far in his bloodline was a trail of vampires. Until one mated with a human and their child was a human offspring.
But their blood raised forth.
Ending up in Namjoon's body.
Namjoon could be turned.
Seokjin pulls Yoongi aside, telling him exactly what he found. The younger vampire frowns a little.
Does he want this gorgeous, intelligent individual to become an obedient vampire like them?
The truth is, no, he doesn't.
"I don't think... I don't think I want that." He tells Seokjin honestly.
"I like Namjoon as a human being. Full of life..."
Seokjin understands him, knows what he means, but he knows Namjoon would be a great add.
Still, Yoongi is his brother now. He will respect so and do as Yoongi agrees with.
And since Yoongi disagreed, Namjoon is granted to live the human life.
But this leaves them with no other choice but to rebel with what they have.
°•●•°
Weeks pass by. Yoongi has finally overcome his trauma of blood. He still hesitates to drink but he drinks it.
Tonight is the night.
Tonight is the fall of VSold.
The death of Kim Taehyung is neigh.
Yoongi frowns as he pulls his shirt over his head, a hoodie getting over it. He's nervous as hell, but on the other end, he didn't think they would get this far.
Seokjin smiles at him. "You'll be fine."
"I know." Yoongi growls. "It's a reaction of the brain to be nervous before you shall succeed." He grins.
Seokjin chuckles and nods. "Victory will be ours tonight."
Yoongi stares up at him. "What about Namjoon?"
"Namjoon stays home. I told him we're going out to enjoy a night as vampires. He has no idea what we're doing."
Yoongi nods, baring his fangs. "I refuse to be a slave."
"Same." Seokjin growls. "That man sees us as toys."
Yoongi checks his nails, slightly scraping them along his fingers, drawing beads of blood from the sharp ends.
Seokjin smirks a little at him. Both of them have grown a lot. Seokjin feels good with the bigger group of vampires and Yoongi has practiced his blood.
But tonight their traumas are edged. Pushed. Tested.
And there is no way in Hell that those two vampires are going to back down out of what is theirs to reclaim.
°•●•°
Namjoon frowns a little to himself. He loves that the two vampires are around each other, and he is involved too. But sometimes he feels a bit left out.
He is jealous.
Extremely jealous.
The things he would do to just be part of their nighty outings. But it's always a vampire thing he wouldn't understand.
He clenches his fists at the thought. He taps on the files on his desk in thought.
He drags his tongue under the top row of his teeth, stopping at where vampires have their showing fangs.
Their fangs are sharp and mighty. He doesn't have any. It disappoints him. Why was he born human?
He wants to be as strong as them. To be able to be as smart and agile and fast. But he is human. And he always has been.
With a sigh, he grabs onto the files and goes through them again. He found these in Seokjin's room while cleaning.
His birth documents.
What would Seokjin want with his ancestors?
Most of those before him are human. The last vampire in his family was in the 1600's. If only he was born then.
With a frown, Namjoon slowly gets up. If he can't join the two vampires on their nights out, he'll make a night himself.
He grabs his phone, scrolling through his contacts.
The phone rings.
"Hello? Make it quick. Master is busy."
"I'm not calling for him." Namjoon laughs softly.
"Oh! Nam! It's been a while!"
"How have you been Jimin?"
"My master has taken very good care of me after my past. All thanks to you."
"Yeah... Hey, can I come by? My boys are out and I could use a fancy drink every once in a while." Namjoon bites his lip.
"Let me check..."
There is a bit of silence and mumbling until the phone gets picked back up.
"He says to make it quick or he'll drink it all by himself."
Namjoon laughs softly. "Tell him I'll kill him if he does. I may not have fangs but I have fists!"
Jimin laughs from the other end. "I will. I'll see you soon... Tae will be glad to see you too."
"I hope so. Even though he fucked my business into the ground. I have a word to speak to him."
"Go easy on him. He's trying."
"He's my brother." Namjoon smiles. "I just want to see him."

Seokjin is troubled. Their ways have gone from killing human guards to finding a trapped vampire.
Yoongi split from him, taking the left wing, and he took the right wing.
He just can't get over it. What he read.
The reason why Namjoon always protected that bastard of a filthy rich mortal. It disappointed him.
Yoongi has had a trauma like his. But Seokjin can take another. He can kill Kim Taehyung and be proud of it and be disowned.
Yoongi couldn't take it.
That is exactly why he ordered Yoongi take the left wing. The right wing is where the office hides.
With a snarl, he tells the other vampires to spread out. And he himself, bursts through the door.
The vampire inside turns his cold eyes onto him.
He's alone.
No Taehyung to be seen.
Seokjin growls angrily. "Where is he?"
"Out." The vampire responds. "And you, are late."
"For what."
The vampire grins. "A ceremony."
Seokjin hisses through his fangs. "What kind?"
"You'll see." The vampire smirks.
He holds out his hand, which Seokjin refuses to take, and is led to a big room. A dome almost. The roof is made of tainted glass, curving over them, the walls are dressed in marble white, and there are pillars on every layer between every little expensive monument lined on a pedestal.
Seokjin has to say he's impressed.
The vampire scoffs at him. "That's how you're dressed to the ceremony? No, no."
He holds out a blouse and some fancy black pants. The blouse has a red color with a pink finish, gems shattered over it. The same goes for the cuffs at the wrist.
"Dress in this. Keep the shoes. They're fine. Behave."
"I know how to behave." Seokjin growls, snatching the clothes from the vampire, who shuts the door on him, leaving him in the dark.
What ceremony exists that he doesn't know of?
None on this day at least.
Once dressed, he enters the monumental room. The vampire eyes him over and nods approvingly.
"Good. Follow me."
Seokjin curses to him under his breath, but does as asked. He passes many old things. What troubles him, however, is the monument at the end of the hallways next to the big doors.
A large glass cage. Inside, are pure black featured wings, trapped, unmoving.
This just proves that the boss himself is a mad man.
"Enter." The vampire tells him. "Be silent. The ritual has started, so you must not disturb the sacrifice."
Seokjin only nods. The vampire gives him a warm smile and opens the door, just enough that Seokjin can get in, but not enough to make a sound.
But what he sees... traumatized him.
There, on stage... Is not only the man he wants to kill, but Namjoon as well. And not only Namjoon, but Yoongi.
Both of them are tied strongly. One with rope, the other with iron. Yoongi's skin smokes at where the iron holds him, screaming out in pain, eyes in tears.
Even Namjoon scowls at his brother.
"All this, just for your selfish accomplishments? Even if you manage to get those wings to accept you, you will never be a half-breed! If you are, than I am too!"
"A pair of wings is not shared between two people, Nammie." Taehyung grins. "I thought you knew that."
Namjoon looks at Yoongi, who's shaking in his chains. He feels guilty. He should have never brought this trouble into his life. But how did Yoongi even get here?
Seokjin's eyes are wide as he's pulled to a seat somewhere in the back, his anger rising as his fear.
Both prisoners start shaking and gasping at the buckets of cold water thrown over them. The smell is different however.
Seokjin recognizes it. It's the thing his abusive owner used to torture him with.
"Holy water has no affect on vampires." Taehyung tells them. "But purified water does."
Yoongi screams out in pain, his body boiling in heat, smoke rising from his wet body.
Namjoon yells at his brother to stop, but every other second his heart throbs. It's so painful, that he can barely form words.
Seokjin scowls at him. He's ready to just kill the entire room, but that would be foolish with humans and vampires all around, all standing by Taehyung's side.
He can almost feel their pain.
Namjoon glares at his brother through barely open eyes, pulling at the rope, his body writhing for freedom.
"You're making a mistake! What you're doing will fail!"
"If you believe so," Taehyung growls. "Than why did you come by?"
Namjoon huffs as his face is grabbed by his younger brother.
"You will benefit from this as well, brother." Taehyung says softly. "In our lovely conversation earlier... Didn't you mention you wanted to be an immortal? A vampire?"
Namjoon scoffs. "What does my yearn concern you? It's a wish. Nothing more, nothing less."
Taehyung rolls his eyes and snaps his fingers.
The bright lights dim into nothing, making it dark and cold, but Yoongi's glowing eyes filled with tears and his broken sobs.
Seokjin can't see. Strange, for a nightcreature.
He focusses on his listening. He hears whispers, but is too far to hear everything in detail.
But the push he needs to get up is the simple sound.
The sound of Namjoon's screams and the scent of burning skin.
Seokjin gets up with a loud hiss, lunging for whatever is in front of him. He can feel the bare skin, a deep gasp.
"Sneaky bastard... You brought company."
"S-Seokjin... Get away! Get away from him! Get away! They'll release his wings!"
"I will not let go of this monster! No matter what!"
Taehyung yells out at him, growling at his followers to grab the vampire.
But Seokjin refuses to give up, biting Taehyung, scratching him, everything to hurt him.
Until the door bursts open. But not by a person.
Namjoon's eyes widen, screaming for Seokjin to get out of the way, but the vampire starts screaming in pain.
The wings, caged he once saw, had escaped their cage, bursting through to their rightful owner.
But who was the rightful owner?
Each vampire stops in their tracks.
Seokjin's skin burns, the blouse he wears ripping in the process of him slipping off Taehyung's naked back.
Seokjin releases a loud guttural growl, his skin melting against the two wings that had harshly connected to his back.
"NO!"
Taehyung's angrily grabs Seokjin's hair, pulling him up.
"You ruined it!" He screams angrily. "Those were mine! My wings!!"
Seokjin pants a little, glaring up at him. He growls, spreading his new wings, pulling his shirt off, burning on his skin.
"Anything to make you suffer." He pants. "I don't care if these were meant to be yours... You don't deserve the power they give."
Taehyung scowls at him and orders everyone out. He's shaking with anger, staring at his wings with jealousy.
Those were his wings. He was supposed to have them!
But because of his timing, the vampire had them. His brother was bound to a vampire. He had something. But Taehyung...
What he could've gotten was stolen from him.
The lights flicker back on, and Seokjin's eyes widen.
Both of his friends are completely bare except for a slight coverage. On their lower stomach, in the middle of their v-line, is a burn.
They've been branded...
Seokjin looks back at Taehyung, furious and burning with rage.
"You're such a pathetic excuse for a brother! For a businessman! You sold us! You have no shame! You're so selfish!"
Seokjin steps up on the stage, immediately untying his friends.
Both of them fall down onto the floor, hugging their lower stomaches to ease the burn.
Yoongi curls up into a ball, feeling his fangs, sighing when he realizes he still has them.
"J-Jin..." Yoongi whimpers. "Taehyung... He... He messed with our bodies..."
Namjoon nods. "He tried to switch our genes."
"Is that even possible?" Seokjin gulps.
Taehyung growls and rolls his eyes. "It's not all the way. I tried to swap their vampire genes and human genes."
Namjoon looks up at him. "He succeeded..." He mumbles.
Taehyung frowns. "But... his eyes are still red."
Namjoon looks back at Yoongi, who indeed still has bright red eyes and showing fangs. He frowns, thinking through.
He looks back up at his brother, releasing an animalistic growl, baring sharp fangs of his own.
Taehyung scowls at his brother, while both vampires gasp in shock.
"Expected when a ritual is interrupted." Taehyung scoffs. "The vampire gen was sucked out and inserted into Namjoon's body. Not only that, both of them live and I get nothing. They'll have an unbreakable bond, and I'll die alone."
Seokjin growls at him. "You deserve to. You are a disgrace!"
"Hold on, hold on..." Yoongi pants. "What unbreakable bond?"
"The marks branded into you are mating bonds. This only allowed you to give your vampire gen. You're mates now whether you like it or not." Taehyung huffs, crossing his arms.
Namjoon looks down at his mark, then at Yoongi's.
Seokjin grabs Taehyung's shoulder. "You." He sneers. "You're going to leave this company and the vampires to freely roam the world, and you're going to teach me how to use these wings."
Taehyung scoffs. "As if. Those were mine."
"And whose back are they on?"
He huffs. "Fine. But I won't give up the company."
Seokjin hisses loudly at him, wings spreading as he tugs at Taehyung's hair.
The younger winces in pain.
"You will give it up or hand it to me."
"Alright! Alright! Let go of me!"
With pride, Seokjin simple tugs the human with him, telling the other two he'll send a vampire to check up on them.

The months that passed had been awkward for the vampires. Namjoon and Yoongi the most.
Although Namjoon really had to get used to now belonging to the vampire race, he was more starstruck by the fact that the branding scar on his abandon was a mate mark.
The realization of that at that moment had immediately made him realize what it meant. What it felt.
But they couldn't go on his way. When Seokjin is running and freeing vampire lives and a business and taming a stuffed up arrogant human, they couldn't ask him for help.
Thus Namjoon decided to settle it down. He called for Yoongi and asked to talk to him so many times, but the vampire refused to even look him in the eye.
Was it so different now that he no longer had chocolate colored orbs? Were his ruby eyes really so weird?
Well, no more can Yoongi escape this.
They have the mark, what's done is done. Not only has Yoongi grown another trauma for small spaces and iron, but also Namjoon has gotten one.
Thus today, Namjoon is taking measures into his own hands.
He knocks on the door to Yoongi's room, sighing to himself when he doesn't hear a response.
With slight hesitation, he lets himself in, closing the door behind himself.
Inside sits Yoongi on his bed, his nose dug into a thick book. He doesn't even look up to greet him.
Namjoon lets go of another deep sigh and sits down on his bed, looking over the text.
"Avoiding me won't fix what we've been through." Namjoon says softly.
Yoongi huffs a little, turning his head away.
"These scars we have won't go away. They are part of us now."
"I never asked to be part of this." Yoongi mutters softly. "I never asked to be mated."
"You could have been mated to my brother! Would you've liked that better?!" Namjoon hisses angrily.
Scowling at him, Yoongi releases a growl. "Get out..."
"No! I won't!"
"Get out."
"Yoongi, listen to me!"
"Get out!"
Namjoon frowns at Yoongi's outburst. He grabs his book, ripping it out of his hands, slamming it closed and throwing it to the far end of the bed.
"Wha-- Hey!"
"Listen to me and listen good." Namjoon growls, grabbing onto Yoongi's collar.
Yoongi hisses at him, but Namjoon hisses back. It reminds the vampire for a moment that Namjoon is no longer human.
"I've been tortured by this mark." Namjoon growls. "The fact that you won't let me see you, you won't talk to me, you avoid me and my concerns for you. I want to see you. I want to know how you're feeling. I want to touch you and hug you. But you deny me... Why?"
Yoongi sighs deeply and slumps over. "I'm scared." He whispers. "I've heard stories of mates. But I've never looked for my own. It's not just you being tortured."
Namjoon's grip loosens.
"I want to be with you. But I don't know if it's the mark or me. It's been forced upon us. How am I supposed to know whether or not I truly feel something for you and you for me?"
Yoongi has a point. Even Namjoon doesn't know whether he truly feels something for Yoongi. He just wants him to be safe, to be loved.
"I guess... There is no way to really figure out unless we try." Namjoon mumbles. "If you at least come out of your room... We can make a start--"
Namjoon's eyes widen, his heart jumping in his chest. His body feels warm and loved, his brain having a complete meltdown.
Yoongi kissed him.
It only lasted seconds, but those seconds were it to decide for him.
Yoongi quickly pulls away, wiping his lips with a soft huff, puffing out his cheeks which are glowing red.
Namjoon looks over at him, eyes still wide. He gently grabs Yoongi's hand, pulling him back.
The older wants to pull away. Or at least, he tries. But he doesn't want the warm feeling to end.
With a soft whine from him, Namjoon releases a chuckle before gently placing their lips together.
Whereas their first kiss was rushed and messy, this one was gentle and sweet.
Namjoon's plump lips felt soft against Yoongi's own, the smaller vampire no longer caring if it was the mark or him.
Yoongi grabs Namjoon's cheeks, deepening the kiss as his arms slide around his neck.
Their cold bodies warmed up, their hearts beating as one, their torturing wants finally dimming down into big butterflies.
As they part, Namjoon can't find anything more beautiful than the vampire in his arms.
Yoongi's pale face is flushed red, his eyes sparkling, his lips parting to reveal a shy smile that shows his gums like a child.
"You're gorgeous." Namjoon whispers sweetly.
Yoongi whines a little. "Stoooop!"
"I'm only telling you the truth. If you don't like it, suck it up."
Yoongi rolls his eyes and chuckles a little, placing a short peck on Namjoon's lips, staring at the pillowy pink.
He looks into his eyes, before looking back down.
"I might become addicted..."
"I have absolutely no complaining if you do."
