SEQUEL TO :: Try Me - VHope

No romance

°•●•°

A big joke is what it was. He glares at the human in front of him, the one that is now his responsibility.

Jungkook and Hoseok had their happy days. Their mother was with them.

He was here with their father, trying to get this stubborn human to drink.

Hoseok was closer to being done with the pain of losing his humanity. He was at the stage of being sickly. Throwing up the food he still needed to survive.

Hoseok was in pain. A constant torture of voices and tests to control the horrid venom spreading in his body.

Jungkook's mom had many private conversations during the day with him when everyone else was asleep.

The short of it was that he knew the venom had a mind of its own. It was like a snake inspecting all of him. For some people, it would take months to fully take over, for others only days.

It terrified him at first. But he knew he was in good hands. So he was.

For Yoongi it was a different story. This man didn't take his venom well at all. He didn't get the right symptoms. He got sick and never really recovered.

The man wouldn't survive. Not if he refused to drink.

Bad habits die hard. Even those of near-immortals. Yoongi, although still young, knows a lot more about the world. The realm.

The creatures and deities of ancient times still make way for the safety of the Human Realm.

Vampires were never there to make it safer. They just came to exist. Parasites and infections that took over you until they became a part of you. You became the infection.

Vampires found ways to control the parasites and use them. But it was much too powerful. A lot died trying to control it many years ago.

It led to who they are now. Pale, almost-dead creatures who need other people's lives to live.

It's a nightmare. A curse. But sometimes it's a happy curse. The bloodlust that roams around them is stilled with every drop.

It doesn't need liters of blood to be satisfied. It's just their nature to kill, and they embraced that.

So now he's here. Yoongi. The oldest son and the boy who was the worst growing up.

He looks down at his interlocked hands, up at the moon, and back. He sits on the roof, listening to humans walking down the street, clubs far down into the city that plays their loud music, and dogs chasing cats.

He has his feet leaning against the slanted window that he climbed up on and sighs deeply.

He can hear the groaning and whining of the man who was once his victim. It annoys him. He will die anyway, it's decided from the day he got bitten.

He has no emotional attachment to him. He never really needed any aside from his family. He's had friends before. Bad friends.

Jimin was one of them. The vampire used humans to get what he wanted and to pray upon innocent humans. Children, adults. Blood was all he wanted.

Not only that, he even went for vampires too. He's chained demon horns to his wall and fangs to a necklace. He's a madman and he knew it. That his sister likes him is a problem, but not his situation.

"How long have you been there?"

Yoongi looks down at the window and rolls his eyes a little when he sees the killer.

Hoseok climbs up next to him and sighs with him. Yoongi glares at the man. His skin glows in ways that make him wonder whether it's the moon or his transformation.

"Long enough." He responds, picking at his nails. "Why are you here?"

Hoseok shrugs, looking up.

There is an awkward silence between the two. Yoongi looks at the younger man. His eyes have a slight glow to them. A redder hue.

"You're going good. Feeling any different? Since... well, you're not new to bloodlust." Yoongi mutters.

Hoseok chuckles. "Yeah. Not new to it but it sure feels different. There is no need to be careful anymore. I can take whoever I want. Their blood smells unique and there is no need for guns."

Yoongi looks at him. It's true that now they are still dealing with selling Hoseok's stash of weaponry. A few have bitten and taken them from their hands, but many remain.

Now that Hoseok is becoming a monster, there is no need for human weapons unless there is deception involved.

He still has his job. He still kills for money. But now he does it the way he needs to. Yoongi once watched him do it on his hunt.

It was interesting. To say the least.

"So. Your venomed victim. I heard he's not doing well?" Hoseok looks back at him with a slight smile. "Must be tough."

Yoongi shrugs. "I don't care much for him. It was an accident."

"How old are you now?"

"Aren't you supposed to never ask that?" Yoongi glares at him. "It's quite rude."

Hoseok shrugs. "Are you older than me?"

"Most definitely."

"Are you from the 1800s?"

"Something like that."

"Do you only give vague answers?"

"Maybe."

The men chuckle a little at their small conversation. It lightened the mood a little.

Yoongi sighs and looks down at the street. "I'm the oldest brother. I was born in the late 1800s when both of my parents still thought they were human."

"You really are old." Hoseok chuckles.

Yoongi scoffs and shakes his head. "Fuck off."

"Was it hard?" Hoseok asks. "You know... Finding out you wouldn't die."

"We aren't immortal," Yoongi says. "We just die very slowly. If this lives-" He points at his head. "-We survive. Nocturnal killers without mercy."

Hoseok nods proudly. "So tell me, what's the best feeling about being that nocturnal killer?"

"The best?" Yoongi chuckles. "For me, it's the pre and after-blow of the kill. The shivers that run down your spine when you feel the rush to kill, and after when it fades and you can feel the blood dripping down your lips."

"You describe it in a way that makes me look forward to this worm." He chuckles and pats his head. "I almost can't wait to feel the killer's high."

Yoongi chuckles and sighs. He looks down to the brighter part of town. He's thirsty. Talking about it...

Hoseok was distant to him, and vice versa. They didn't trust each other a few days ago. Now, Jungkook and Hoseok are closer than ever, and Yoongi is slowly learning to see Hoseok as one of them.

His heart pounds in his chest when he notices the hunger creeping up on him. He growls and rolls his head. Out to the wild. Where the prey is.

Hoseok looks at him and smirks. "Wanna go? I'm not sure how long I can go without another kill."

Yoongi nods. "Sure. I'm up for it. Show me how Hope makes their day."

°•●•°

Watching them from the shadows is a creature. Not even something that has a form.

Bodies pile in the alleys, carelessly giving in to their hunger.

The perfect vessels. The perfect killers.

Hoseok and Jungkook. Together, menacing and devilish. Apart, fearsome and horrid.

The being moves, watching them closely. They are more intrigued, more curious.

How does such a man exist? Such ruthless mercy. Such deception.

Yoongi takes a deep breath after claiming his tenth soul that night. A messy amount of blood runs down his chin and fangs after his kill.

He checks up with his brother and Hoseok, who also feel satisfied enough to return.

The being follows them. It is confused. Why the third is following is unclear. Is that man a human? Or is it a monster?

Unsure of it, it laughs to itself. Disappearing into the shadows, he calls their name.

Hoseok looks away, curious about where the voice comes from that calls his name. It's hypnotizing.

Jungkook knows where. He sees it.

Yoongi follows their gaze.

There. In the small alleyway a few meters away is a hatch. A black hatch that smokes red.

It smells like a massacre.

Hoseok carefully walks up to it and messes with the handle a bit. Pulling it open reveals nothing but smoke, but the temptation fills them.

Screams. Loud fearful screams. How Jungkook loves them, how Hoseok's missed them.

"Hey. We should go home." Yoongi says, trying to pull them with him.

But the two don't budge. Their legs make their way in and Yoongi keeps trying to get them out.

Until they disappear into the smoke. The hatch is starting to disappear. In a fit of panic, Yoongi quickly opens the hatch and jumps down before it fades away.

Through the fog and smoke is a new sensation for him. The blood of many people surrounds him like a tornado. It tempts him, enrages him, feeds him.

The familiar shiver runs down his spine again and he bares his fangs at the scent. His head pounds, many new heartbeats joining his own.

In a fit of sudden rage he screams a loud vampiric hiss, curling up into the fall until he lands.

Harshly falling from the sky onto dark grass, he takes a deep breath.

His fangs hurt his lip, but it's no joke. His eyes grow wider with the vision. Bright night and the sight of blood trails.

He just fed... What's going on with him? Where is he? Where are Jungkook and Hoseok?

Confusion and worry settle when they are nowhere to be seen. Around him is nothing but a few trees and massive rocks, with butcher hooks and a few broken-down buildings.

He looks around, eyes fixated on the hard scent that he can track. It's not Jungkook's, but it also doesn't exactly smell like Hoseok's either.

He chases it quickly. Rather someone there than no one. The scent quickly becomes much stronger and hits him where it hurts.

His jaw tenses and he stops dead in his tracks when he sees what it is.

What is a human doing in a place like this? Wherever this is.

His raven hair falls messily over his eyes and tattoos cover his body up to his neck. Dark eyes glare up at him.

"The fuck are you doing? Get down!" The man hushes at him between clenched teeth and pulls Yoongi down behind his cover.

Yoongi's body is curved around the human, the scent of fear overwhelming him.

Then another sound catches Yoongi's attention. Footsteps.

If a human is here, and he's hiding, could it be another vampire? Maybe Hoseok was hunting?

Yoongi leans to go up but he's held down.

"Are you insane?! Don't get the killer get you!" The man cusses. "He's merciless. Been chasing us for weeks."

Weeks? But then that can't be Jungkook or Hoseok.

"Who is it?" Yoongi asks quietly, licking his lips to ignore the hunt.

"I don't know." The man grunts. "He's fast. Insane too, laughing when he hits us. It's all for an escape."

The man looks over at Yoongi, who glares back at him.

"I've been here a while. I've been trying to escape but that fucker's just too fast. Who knows what he'll do to me if I'm caught."

Yoongi frowns and listens for any other noise. Any type of breathing or panting.

"I can't hear anything but fading footsteps." Yoongi sighs. "Who are you anyway?"

"Namjoon. Stay close."

Before Yoongi can say anything else, the man runs from his hiding spot, slinging himself around the massive boulders and trees.

Yoongi hurriedly follows up with him.

A killer... Here? Is this hell? A punishment for his crimes? Does it eat vampires?

His thirst is far in the back of his head with this new information. He would prefer not to find out if the killer enjoys vampires or not.

Whoever or whatever it may be.

Namjoon turns behind another boulder to hide, pulling Yoongi down with him. He listens again, then covers Yoongi's mouth when about to ask.

Yoongi scowls at him. Then he hears it. His entire body tenses, the hairs on his body standing tall. Fear. Something he barely ever felt, now so strong.

Soft and maniacal chuckles are closer now than ever. Even the footsteps are close. There is a metal click that drags along the chuckler and a deep breath.

Namjoon pats his leg and nods, pointing at a machine further away. Yoongi looks at it and shakes his head, knowing that the killer can't be far.

The human grabs his arm and pulls him with, crouching and running through the grass.

A heartbeat Yoongi's never felt pounds loudly in his chest. He looks back, wondering who this killer is.

The persons back is turned. In his hand is large metal bat with a blade attached to its side, wearing a long cloak that you can see from miles away.

He looks back at Namjoon, who has reached the machine already and motions for him to come.

Yoongi takes a step but falls back when something appears.

A flash of a large spider-like humanoid looms over him, growling an echo that lingers in his head.

There. That sudden rush of thirst hits him like a rock.

Namjoon looks behind him and shakes his head before running away, leaving Yoongi panting and shaking on the grass.

A figure slowly comes to crouch by him. He taps the ground with his bat and sighs when Yoongi grabs his hair and rolls from the pain.

"Poor kid." The man chuckles. "What do we do with you?"

Yoongi releases a loud hiss. His head spins and twirls in turns. The face of the killer is a blurred carousel of laughter.

He fights when his body is slung over the man's shoulder and he's taken with ease.

Fear enters Yoongi's body once more when the killer slowly approaches the butcher's hook.

His stomach hurls at the smell of rusty dried blood. Human blood.

He begs the man to let him go, sniffling quietly about his brother.

"Don't worry." The man smiles at him, a creepy wide smile. "If you want to be kept, you'll live."

With that Yoongi is slung on the hook. The vampire screams his lungs out from the pain, the hook sticking out of the shoulder of his hanging body.

Yoongi hisses loudly at the killer who cheerfully walks away. That's when another human runs by.

It's Namjoon.

The man huffs and pants, circling the man around the buildings as Yoongi is left there to die.

His blood drips onto the muddy floor, his vision burning from his tears. His brother... His friend...

Will no one save him?

He struggles to take himself off, only feeling the hook sinking deeper. A flash appears again.

This time, the spider legs wrap around him. The cold legs carefully lift him up and out of the hook, the metal leaving his body with a bloody squelch.

Yoongi drops to the floor, turning around at the creature who helped him.

It's so close to his face that he can almost feel it. It reaches out its hand and Yoongi, without any need for forgiveness, takes it.

The horror...

The creature slowly morphs into a more humanoid being. The one he saw before. Its bright eyes observe him once more before Yoongi's hand is pulled to him.

The vampire now stands, weakly stumbling from the hole in his body.

The creature growls at him and disappears, leaving him alone again.

His body is tense from the pain, twitching from the blood, crying to wonder if he will ever see his brother again.

His thirst returns, now stronger than ever. Enraged thirst at how he was left to die. How that killer dared mock him.

He can feel his fangs hurting. His muscles aching.

Why is he so scared? He's a vampire, after all.

He lays his hand on his bleeding chest, slowly moving up to the chasing man. It takes a few seconds for the feeling in his legs to return.

Getting closer to the chase, he moves to a sprint. He readies his fangs and prowl, leaping from a large rock onto the human that left him.

Namjoon groans when he hits the ground, sliding a few meters further in the mud with Yoongi's arms at his throat and feet on his stomach.

His heart pounds in his chest, staring at the killer behind the vampire, who now has thrown his bat over his shoulder, confused as ever.

Why would another survivor attack another one of them?

"You left me! You left me to be hooked!" Yoongi growls. "Why, when I trust one of you, do you ruin everything?!" He screams.

Namjoon gulps. "Can you get off? I'm having a hard time breathing."

"That's the fucking POINT!!"

The killer tilts his head and taps Yoongi on his back, bat in hand.

Yoongi snaps his head, tightening his grip on the human's neck. Every time the killer moves his eyes, his finger, even his lips, his grip tightens.

The skin squeezes around his hands, muscle twitching and bone cracking.

Namjoon begs weakly to be let go, even begging the killer for mercy. Yoongi turns back to glare at him, digging his claws into his flesh and slowly tearing it apart.

"My, my... You're no ordinary person, are you?" The killer chuckles, patting some of the exposed flesh.

Yoongi pants, glaring at the human underneath him, now with a dead heartbeat.

"So. It saved you." The killer mutters, crouching down by him. "The Beast."

Yoongi sighs and nods.

"You saw it too. Right?"

Again, Yoongi nods.

The killer sighs and lifts his bat, grabbing something from the pocket of his coat. It's a necklace.

He tears the gem from its chain and smashes it on the ground. The familiar red smoke from before surrounds them. The human deteriorates to ashes, and the two remaining disappear.

From a distance, Hoseok looks at the vampire next to him. As soon as the red smoke fades, a loud bell chimes and something falls from the sky.

A large muscular beast, and it's setting chase for them.

°•●•°

In the smoke, chills run all over Yoongi's body. His fangs hurt and he can feel his hunger growing into pain.

The hole in his chest slowly heals up when one again he falls from the sky.

Knowing better, he adjusts to land on his feet. Something is off. Different.

There are no human scents anymore. It's like it's completely dead.

Yoongi scans his surroundings, seeing the many sheds and bungalows.

Next to him lands the killer from not too long ago, who uses his bat to get up.

"Welcome."

"Welcome where?"

"Welcome to the Realm."

Yoongi looks at him, then back at the dead field. His thirst is both unbearable, and at the same time, he can't feel it.

The killer nudges his arm. "Let's go. I bet there are many wondering why I left my hunt early."

"Early? That guy said you were chasing them for a week."

"Yeah, I usually aim for three."

Yoongi quietly follows behind the killer, thinking back to that small hour in the other realm.

The human disappeared into ashes. Why didn't he? Was it because he's not human? And if so, then what kind of monster could this killer be?

Hanging from a strong tree not far into the field hangs a fleshy cocoon. It doesn't move.

The killer smiles. "So. Another one. We've been very lucky with no one for a while."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Yoongi asks.

"More people to hunt the humans for. Leaves less for us." The killer says and shrugs. "I don't mind it. I don't need it to survive."

Yoongi watches as the man walks up to the cocoon and taps it with his bat.

The bottom curls open, morphing into a disconnected face. Or something that looks like one. Parts of its flesh are deeply cut and shown they don't belong together. It wants to look human.

It has eyes like a person, white balls that glare straight at him.

The rest of the cocoon unfolds and slowly morphs into long limbs.

It's a fully fleshed out human... How strange.

"Welcome."

Yoongi flinches a little. It speaks. And it has a normal voice. But what is it? Its voice is a feminine masculine mix, but from how flat the flesh is, it must be a man... He can't tell.

"Hello..." Yoongi bows his head a little, looking at the man next to it.

"The Beast has been kind to you." The flesh creature says. "Lucky you."

"Yeah, we'll see about that." The killer chuckles. "It's your turn to hunt Jin. Go."

The monster nods and once again twists into a mess of flesh, sprinting to a small cabin not far off.

Yoongi watches it. As soon as the door closes, there is a red smoke coming from under the door. The same one they disappeared in.

The killer smiles at him. "The Beast was kind to us."

"What happened to them?"

"He wasn't powerful enough to belong here, but he was too valuable to throw away. So the Beast changed him." The killer sighs. "That's why we are lucky."

Yoongi nods. "So it was human before?"

"Yes. Jin was a young man like us once. He was stuck here for nearly a year and went through to insanity. He couldn't escape. His body was hooked so much that he never recovered from his last one."

"What happened then?"

"I believe the stories are up to the owners to tell." The killer shrugs.

"So then what's yours?"

The man smiles even wider and slings his bat over his shoulder. "I'll tell you. Walk with me."

"As if there's anything else to do..."

°•●•°

The two monsters pant, clutching their hearts in fear at the loud shriek coming from the being not far from them.

Jungkook's eyes are wide with fear, Hoseok's hand clawing his own.

What is that thing?

"Fuck, fuck, fuck..."

"Shut up! It could hear you!"

"That's not my problem, Kookie..."

The monster growls at their beating hearts.

Jungkook holds tighter onto Hoseok's hand, frowning when he feels his skin heating up.

"Hobi? Are you okay?"

"Do I have a fever?" Hoseok whines, feeling his head.

Jungkook reaches over to feel and shakes his head. "Vampires shouldn't get a fever... I wish mom were here to tell us."

"At moments like these, I really miss her."

Hoseok takes a deep breath, feeling his heart pounding in his chest. His body feels like it's on fire. His thirst rises to a point of almost no control.

"Hobi? Fuck... What do I do? I mean - Yoongi just disappeared!"

Hoseok shakes his head and swallows, kneeling down and hiding his head in his hands.

Jungkook kneels down with him, not sensing any human nearby but that monster.

"Fuck!" Hoseok snarls, pressing one of his hands over his mouth. "I would kill for a gun... I'd kill if I could."

The vampire hugs his friend, not knowing what else to do. He can feel Hoseok's back moving from his breathing.

He slowly moves his hand along the man's spine, glancing at the bitemark in his neck.

It's throbbing and red. Like it's infected.

Jungkook snaps a hold on him when Hoseok snaps his head up. His eyes are wide with insanity, his lips twitching to bite.

This... Jungkook has seen this before. When he was younger...

"Hobi? Hey! Hobi!"

Hoseok just keeps staring out in front of him, every exhale a growl and his muscles twitching, trying to get up.

"Hoseok! Snap out of it! There is no one here!"

The man looks to his side, eyes going up to Jungkook's face. He drifts off, staring off next to him.

Jungkook freezes when he hears a rough and deep clicking snarl. It's right behind him.

"Oh fuck my life..."

°•●•°

Yoongi taps the bowl in his hands, looking out over the vast sea of dead.

"So. My story?" The man smiles.

The vampire nods and crosses his arms. "If you will. I'd like to find my brother."

"He's home?"

"He fell here. I followed them. Him and his friend, the man he infected."

The man raises a brow. "Infected?"

Yoongi nods and opens his mouth, dragging his tongue along the sharpened edges to feel the blood.

"Woah... Another one of you. Tae thought you were extinct!"

"Tae?"

"Taehyung. We call him V. One may only guess why." He chuckles. "He's a mythic. A folklore. A vampire, if you say."

Yoongi tilts his head. "Really? So there are more of us?"

The man nods. "Oh, definetely. We had many come and go. Don't worry, the Beast will recognize souls who don't belong here but aren't humane. They will be sent back."

"His friend just recently got infected. He's still a human."

"That might become a problem." The man sighs. "The Beast is an intelligent but confusing being."

Yoongi nods. "When can I go look for them?"

"Once Jin's hunt is over. One of us will be chosen and have to break the chain that binds us here to be released. If we've had enough we can collect an emergency escape from the machines."

He frowns. "The people we chase want us gone. The more of those machines they destroy, the more of us will die. Permanently."

Yoongi tilts his head a little. "Does that now include me? Am I stuck here now?"

The man nods. "Afraid so. The name's Jimin, I'm known around here as The Trickster."

"Jimin huh... I know someone with your name. I'm Yoongi. I'd say it's a pleasure, but... considering the circumstances."

"Who says there are perfect moments for greetings?" Jimin chuckles. "As for your brother, we wait."

"I see." Yoongi sighs. "I hope Jin will be kind to him. He's scared easily."

"Jin? Jin frightens for a living. Have you seen him? Scary guy."

"What about you?" Yoongi asks. "Why are you human?"

Jimin shrugs. "I was not innocent enough to need change. As soon as I came here I began hunting. It didn't matter if there was a killer running around. I was stressed, and I kill to relieve it. The Beast simply took me there and then. I never got hooked, but I was too dangerous to keep loose, nor humane enough to leave. I was a valuable add for it, and now I serve it to get my way."

Yoongi cocks his head. "It's almost admirable. This Beast. It handpicks."

Jimin nods. "Indeed. It enhanced my abilities to be more dangerous." He gently twists the bat in his hand. "I'm faster, more accurate and I can sense sounds from far. Things I couldn't do before."

His eyes avert to the open field, sighing and dropping his bat on the grass. The red smoke appears in the sky once again.

Yoongi looks over, the fleshy monster landing on its feet and quickly leaving a trail of blood to its cabin.

A few seconds later, he comes back out, a while new visual side to him. His fleshyness is merged into a human form, almost like he was never fleshy in the first place.

The closer he gets to them, the more Yoongi can see the flesh lines that connect them.

He stands at the edge of the table and states at them for a good minute. He doesn't blink, only white eyes staring back.

"Do you want to hunt?"

Yoongi shakes his head. "I'm not thirsty. Have you seen another vampire while you were chasing? Black hair, nervous as shit, most likely with a half-mix?"

Jin tilts his head, slowly thinking it over. Then he nods. "I did." He mumbles. "Red eyes, messy... Panicking. Hiding from me. I was attacked."

"You?" Jimin chuckles. "And where would you have been attacked?"

Jin slowly points at his chest. A slightly fresh scar tears down his stomach.

"Oh... Are you alright?"

Jin nods. "I left them there. He was hurt. I want to fix the hurt. I cannot save him, so he must be kept for another to end him. He was in so much pain..."

Yoongi frowns. "Do you remember anything else about the attacker?"

Again, Jin nods. "Brown hair. Dark. He was warm. He was screaming. He was called Hobi. Or that's what the other boy was crying."

"Fuck!" Yoongi jumps up from his seat and quickly wiggles himself out of the wooden mess. "How do I fucking leave this place?!"

"Whoa, whoa! What's the hurry?" Jimin chuckles. "I thought you didn't need to?"

Yoongi snarls. "That man is my brother's best friend! He's in the middle of becoming a vampire and my brother knows jackshit! I need to find them."

Jimin pouts and nods. He grabs a small crystal from his coat and hands it over. "Break it to go and break it to return. It's a one use."

Yoongi nods and thanks him, wasting no time cracking the crystal in the palm of his hand and disappears in the red smoke.

Jimin and Jin look at each other for a moment. How strange... A vampire who suddenly gets access to the world of dangerous killers who care for no one but themselves. But then he cares for family...

Most of them don't have one anymore. They do with these monsters.

"He's lucky." Jin says. "He loves. He feels."

Jimin nods. "I wish I knew what that'd feel like. But I got that taken away a long time ago."

Jin looks at him. "Is this form more acceptable for you?"

"Jin, buddy, you look acceptable in whatever you feel more comfortable in."

°•●•°

Another familiar feeling. It keeps being weird to feel. The rush of thirst and the predatory will and need to chase and kill.

It's different in the other part of the realm. The thirst doesn't exist there. It's just the surrounded anger and rage.

Now that there are humans nearby, it's overwhelming.

His muscle are tense, his fangs hurt and his body aches for blood.

But no. He can't hunt now. He needs to find Hoseok and Jungkook. Now. Before shit goes downhill.

His stomach hurls at seeing the hooks wherever he goes. He remembers the pain. That feeling of his skin tearing through at that rusty tip piercing his flesh.

He smells the humans he passes. Seen a few as well. They look terrified although not knowing who to trust.

He looks like them.

"DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!"

Yoongi snaps his head to the sound. He smells it. Humans. Not only that, but Jungkook.

Fuck. That's the complete opposite of what he needs.

Yoongi sprints towards the screaming, only focusing on how to help a madman.

"Hobi, please!"

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!"

"I'm a doctor-"

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

As soon as Yoongi has eyes on them, his blood boils. Three humans are kneeling down by the poor man who's on the ground.

Jungkook tries to keep them away, with no luck. Who would leave after hearing screams like that?

Jungkook looks distraught. Tears are running down his cheeks, hands shaking from fear and the thirst of never being able to separate his worry from insanity.

Yoongi takes no chances.

He pushes through the humans, knocking them over and crouching down by the two friends.

"I'm here. I'm here."

"Yoongi! Thank God! Hobi is-"

"I know. Get those fucking prey out of here. I don't care how, just do it."

Jungkook nods, and with shaky hands starts elbowing their heads, sniffling. He knows what must be done. His brother doesn't screw around.

As Jungkook drags the humans away, Yoongi takes Hoseok's face.

His eyes are bloodshot with tears, lips bleeding from how his fangs have been pushing through.

"Fuck... How long has it been like this?"

"Like... two hours or something- please don't touch me it hurts..."

"I have to. I need to keep you from going insane." Yoongi grumbles, pressing his thumbs against Hoseok's gums.

Hoseok whines and cries at the pain, grabbing onto his wrists and clawing. He writhes and turns, but Yoongi keeps him in his place.

Even through his teary eyes Hoseok can see the blurry gaze. The fear and the sea of thirst overcoming him.

Those humans made it worse. So much more painful than it needed to be.

Yoongi takes a deep breath and places his arm between Hoseok's lips like a cloth.

Hoseok pants, shivering and trembling to hold back from going insane. But he can feel it.

The thirst. That rush Yoongi talked about a few hours ago. He feels it hitting him like a rock.

All he wants to do is to kill. To feed and to hunt and chase those too pathetic enough to think they could survive him.

Hope. The cold-blooded killer.

"Bite in. Don't hold back or it'll get worse." Yoongi nods. "Let it happen. Accept that thirst."

Hoseok whines and whimpers, taking a few seconds to softly place the tips of his fangs on Yoongi's skin.

"Bite."

The vampire flinches when his flesh rips open from the sudden gnaw. Hoseok's fangs tear through his skin like the hook did before.

Jungkook hurries back, begging to see if Hoseok's okay. Yoongi only nods.

"Hold onto me."

"Why?"

"I'm taking you somewhere those feeding baskets won't fucking bother us." Yoongi snarls.

Jungkook quickly grabs onto Yoongi's arm as the older vampire grabs the second crystal from his pocket.

He stares at it for a few seconds, feeling the blood dripping heavily down his arm.

He can feel the Beast lurking over him.

It approves. He can feel it.

It's wants and needs. He holds them at his will. Just like Jimin said before. Servants of the Beast.

Yoongi belongs there now.

He crushes the crystal in his hands, praying that it'll take them all.

°•●•°

Glaring at the big open field is a man familiar to all. His arms are crossed and his long hair drapes over his shoulder.

It smells of newborn.

"So, Tae."

"What is it you need?"

"What exactly happens to their family They actually have parents that would want them back."

"Jin, if they knew what this would come to, they never would have entered."

"Of course, but-"

"We have no one anymore. And soon, they will forget them too. Like all of us did."

The fleshy monster sighs. "I was just wondering if there was a chance."

The man shakes his head. "Not for us. Not for the servants."

From the sky, through the red smoke, the vampire has made a quick return. The man watches him land, holding onto two other men who look exhausted.

Jin tilts his head. "I know them. Why are they here?"

"Because they are needed."

Yoongi pants, taking deep breaths with shaking legs. He gently drops his brother onto the grass, keeping Hoseok in his arms.

During the ride he was screaming, but constantly gnawing on Yoongi's arm.

The blood drips down his limbs, just praying the they will survive. Or at least, that the Beast approves of them.

Yoongi falls to his knees, releasing a loud cry of pure frustration. He was not raised to deal with newborns.

Jungkook whines, rubbing his stomach.

"I was not prepared for that..."

"Trust me, I wasn't either."

Yoongi gently lays Hoseok's unconscious body onto the grass. He takes a moment to stretch before grabbing onto the man's neck, twisting his fingers to find the right spot.

In between the bones, a small muscle throbs. It's responding to the pressure before it disappears completely.

Jungkook looks at him. "He'll be okay?"

"I was not made to create baby versions of us, Kook. The guy I supposedly infected isn't gonna live."

"Did you know it was gonna turn out that way?"

"Of course not." Yoongi sighs. "Truth be told, I've always been very careful about my mistakes. Any time I got caught or if I did something wrong, I punished myself for it before mom could."

"Why?"

"I was not their perfect son. When Kaelin and Taelee were born I felt... devastated. Was I not good enough for them? Should I have been a better son? A better vampire? I just wanted to be a good kid. Later, I wanted to be the best older brother."

"Right..." Jungkook sighs. "Our sisters... Wait, how do we get out of here?"

Yoongi blinks a few times. Thinking over the question, he realizes he has no idea. That crystal brought him here and to the other part of the realm, but never back home.

They look at each other for a moment. Then Yoongi shrugs, shaking his head.

Jungkook looks down at Hoseok's soft breathing body. "Will we ever see them again?"

"I'm sure we will. It's not like we're stuck here forever." Yoongi smiles, even though he's unsure of his own words.

Jungkook grabs onto Hoseok's hand as Yoongi tried to find more of those bundled up nerves around.

It takes a while to find them all, but eventually, all is done.

As soon as the final bundle of nerves disappears, Hoseok's hand quickly squeezes Jungkook's back.

Hoseok takes a deep breath and swallows the pain in his throat away, sighing his lungs out.

"Fuck..."

"Fuck indeed." Yoongi grumbles. "You were blowing my ears out. You have a voice."

Hoseok scoffs and chuckles a little. "Yeah, I know."

Jungkook quickly embraces him into a hug, leaving Hoseok to weakly hang over his shoulder.

Another rope of curses comes out of his mouth, slowly blinking his eyes open to adjust to the new area.

Yoongi grins. "Welcome back, buddy."

Hoseok just rolls his eyes and chuckles. "Should I feel more... I don't know, thirsty? Murderous?"

"That's what this place does." Yoongi sighs. "It almost takes away all the things that make you feel inhumane. You become... normal."

"But normal for us is to kill." Jungkook says. "Right?"

Yoongi nods. "Right..."

He looks over at the table he sat at earlier. It's empty now. Hanging at the tree is a familiar cocoon.

The flesh unwraps slightly, revealing an upside down smiling creature.

Yoongi chuckles a little at it. For the first time in a while he feels like he can relax. This place. It does something to him.

In this realm, he isn't the bloodthirsty older brother vampire who can't keep his fangs to himself. Here he is just one of them.

Then he sees something else.

A man leaning over the balcony of another two story cabin. Focusing on him. Staring at them.

"So... It worked?" Hoseok chuckles.

"Open up, big guy."

°•●•°

Three of them. One. Two. Three. Vampires.

The man feels his fangs watching them, slowly eyeing them over. They're very young.

Should he go up to them? Maybe. They are his kind after all. But what if they don't know? What if their ways are not the same?

Of course they won't be. He's existed for millennia.

"You know..." The young girl next to him stutters. "They are like you..."

"I am familiar, Ekon." The man says. "Benal nadas, da'len."

The girl looks at him. "If you are not certain... Why aren't you going to find out?"

"Child, tell me this." The man sighs. "Would they accept my ways of pleasure? My ways of deceit and pain? Their knowledge of our world before is fresh. I would only help them forget."

"But... the Beast? Fen'Harel..."

"He is your God, Little One. Not mine."

"I still think you should find them. They could use your guidance. Better than from a spirit like me, or a human like Jiminie, or even a mutation. They are your children too..."

The man looks back at the three, now seeing that the older vampire is staring directly at him.

He meets his gaze and sighs. "Very well. I believe you are right. I think it is time for you to satisfy your hunger. Go. Na melana sahlin."

The girl nods and disappears into thin air, leaving the vampire be.

He stares for a few more minutes before sighing and getting up from his hunched stance.

The young vampire's eyes follow his every move, even his steps as he gets closer and closer to the newcomers.

What will he say? What is with the vampires nowadays?

Eventually, it's silent. He stands there, arms behind his back as all three stare at him.

"Andaran atish'an. Welcome."

The two youngest look at each other, then at the oldest, whose jaw drops a little at the words.

"You... I... Aneth ara."

Something inside the vampire falls with relief upon hearing the phrase. He smiles.

"I advise that you get used to this place. There is no returning. Do not fret, however." The vampire chuckles. "As you will soon forget them, they shall forget you."

Yoongi gulps a little, seeing his brother's body tense. Hoseok shakes his head a little.

"Are you sure? I mean... We- our sisters-"

"I am certain." The man nods. "Ir abelas. I am sorry."

Hoseok takes a deep breath. "What is he saying? It's bothering me to shit."

"It's ancient elven. Vampires used to speak it way back to blend in with elves."

The man nods. "I am used to it. I try to remember it."

"I used to learn it because I wanted to speak to elves." Yoongi smiles. "But that means that you... must be a Patient Zero or something!"

The man tilts his head. "Patient... Zero?"

"One of the first infected."

"Ah." The man chuckles and nods. "That indeed. This Beast got me a few centuries back and I've lived here ever since. It's not so bad."

"Who are you?" Jungkook asks.

The vampire smiles. "My name is Taehyung. I hope to make you feel more at home here."

Yoongi sighs. "It'll be tough. If there is a way back home, we are taking it."

"Of course."

Far away, the girl giggles and smiles, staring at the mirror in her hand. It's been so long since the vampire had any conversation lasting longer than a minute.

She looks back at him and sighs. "Ma ghilana mir din'an, Fen'Harel..."

=|THE END|=●

Questions of the Chapter:

How come that Hoseok and Jungkook were attracted to the hatch, but Yoongi not?

How does The Beast pick its servants?

Who is the Beast?

Who is the spirit girl?

Why was Hoseok in so much pain during his transformation?

How long will it take them to forget?
