When days like that haunt you, they haunt you good. Jungkook knows best. His mind is tainted with blood and threats from his most innocent and smiley hyung.

He can remember all the blood gathered in their dorm. In the entire building that they lived in.

He never expected to have the blonde Jimin to be laughing within the blood puddles, even more pooling around him from the body in his arms.

Jungkook first thought he was laughing through cries, afraid and sad for the body of his elderly hyung.

That is until he drops the body into the blood, surrounded by the dead staff members and slowly gets up.

His clothes are covered in red, the smell suffocating.

But the body of his hyung twitches.

It curls in the blood, fingers cracking as he begins to claw at the floor, turning on his stomach. His face drowned in red, the sight is a terror for the young Jungkook.

The moment that he sees Seokjin's body sit on his knees, he sees the deep red his eyes have become. How dead pale some parts of his body are that are not covered in blood.

His small his iris is and how his lips twitch, eventually letting out an inhuman noise. It's a loud raspy hiss that allows him to open his mouth widely, revealing two long sharp fangs, glinstering at the piercing sharp edges.

Jungkook watches in horror as his eldest hyung slowly darts out his tongue to lick the dripping blood off his lips.

Jungkook immediately turns around and runs away, calling Jimin's name to come with him.

But the moment he calls, the face that turns to him isn't the face of Jimin. It's the face of a murderer. The face of someone who wanted this.

With tears in his eyes, Jungkook ignores his want for his hyung and runs. He runs to the end of the hall and pulls the door open, but standing there and blocking his path is the tall muscular Namjoon, baring sharp fangs and letting out a loud hiss that echoes like a shriek.

Immediately Seokjin returns a loud hiss and he dashes for Jungkook, baring his fangs, but he's punched out of the way roughly by another pale elbow.

"H-hyung...?"

The reply is a hiss. A normal sounding hiss, but clearly not sane, proven by the small iris and the sharp fangs bared.

Not even the happy Hoseok is willing to spare him. He only punched Seokjin so that he could keep Jungkook as his own meal.

Jungkook crawls back in fear as the two vampires fight in hisses and growls, arguing and snarling.

Namjoon suddenly joins the fight too with a loud hiss, grabbing Jungkook by his arms and pulling him behind.

Jungkook screams in fear when he lands on something, screaming against when it's a part of flesh from a body not too far away.

A familiar face comes into view from the shadows, scaring Jungkook even more at the cold, dead eyes and the casual walk. His fangs aren't bared, but his iris clearly shows insane hunger towards him.

His already porcelain skin is almost white like snow, blood covering his entire body.

"H-hyung... It's me! Don't eat me!"

The vampire cocks his head. He replies in a hiss that causes the other three to pull from their argument.

But then Jungkook hears a human sound.

He quickly turns to hear it, but he's not the only one who hears it.

Every vampire in the room turns to the sound. Even the cold, silent Yoongi bares his fangs for a moment.

"Easy."

Jungkook turns to Jimin's voice, widening his eyes as the man comes walking towards him. Casually, as if he isn't in the body of a complete alien.

"H-how can you talk but they can't?!"

"Silly, little, Kookie." Jimin spits the name with such venom in his voice it sounds like lava. He kneels down and grabs his face tightly. "I've been planning this since trainee day one."

"W-what?"

"Are you stupid?"

A hiss from Seokjin tells Jungkook that they are able to understand him. He just reacted.

Jimin shakes his head and hisses something back in return, causing even Hoseok to scowl.

"W-where is Tae?!"

Jimin looks at the room of which the human noise comes. It's pained whining and groans with heavy breathing and a cry of pain every now and then.

"Do you think he's safe? In a building that was full of staff members who could have been alive, with seven members of a famous idol group. Do you truly think that he's been safe from five vampires with extraordinary hearing?"

Jungkook gulps and looks down, sniffling. "S-so he...--"

"He's probably still alive." Jimin shrugs, cutting him off. "But not for long."

The shrug on his face turns into an evil glare as he lets go of a loud hiss, laughing softly when he hears Taehyung let out a feared cry.

He hisses something towards the others, who bare their fangs and waste no time to rush towards him.

"NO! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Jungkook yells, a cry leaving his lips as he tries to run to save him, but Jimin holds him tight.

"You're simply a kid, Jungkook." Jimin whispers sweetly. "I can't give you this life yet. And they know because of me."

Jungkook tries to pull his face away, but Jimin holds him too tight.

"I saved your life. But just you wait, you ungrateful brat." He snarls. "One day you will be old enough. A fine vessel for these powers. Until you're twenty, your vessel is too young. Prepare. And be ready. We need a blood source after all."

The laugh that leaves his lips is loud and dark, haunting Jungkook till this day. As does the scream he heard when Taehyung got bitten.

Things haven't gotten better at all...

°•●•°

Jungkook's eyes are still full of fear when looking at his friends. Sure they've all gotten sane, but they still scare him. Especially since they feed off him.

The only responsible ones when drinking were Namjoon and Yoongi, which was quite a surprise since both of them actually really hit the insane bar within their first weak.

It involved a lot of chasing, drooling, conversations in hisses and growls, use of claws and fangs, and hunting instinct on the first thing they see.

Jungkook had to run for his life a few times, thankfully there was always someone close.

Now the two are careful with drinking from a human vessel. The body could become weak when overstimulating it with impulses.

Those two in particular have some strong ones...

Yoongi avoids to drink right from Jungkook's veins and would rather have it in the glass, but when Jimin explained to him that the fangs pick up an important bacteria from the human body they bite in, he had no choice but to do it.

Now he does once a month.

Namjoon doesn't mind to drink from the veins, the feeling isn't nice for him. Every vampire's fangs are different, but Namjoon's are thin and extremely sharp. It takes no pressure to slice them through human skin.

This frightens him, even after three years, because he knows he can hurt someone by simply showing his fangs.

He still feels sorry for the day when he first bit Jungkook. The poor eighteen-year-old screamed bloody murder.

For Seokjin the roads were turned. He loved drinking from the veins and would choose that over any other way. He says the feeling of skin and flesh wrapping and pulsing around his fangs is ecstacy, giving not only the hunger its satisfaction, but also his fangs.

Hoseok is neutral, just like Taehyung. Both of them like the veins better because of the taste and smell but not because it feels good to do. They're both extremely guilty whenever they kill a person because of their own needs.

Jimin...

Jimin led them all.

His words decided whether Jungkook was going to be donating into a glass or be tied up and used as a glass.

Whenever Jimin was in a good mood, he had luck a few times to be donating. But when Jimin was in a bad mood then you should run.

He was the most experienced, but definitely the least merciful.

His fangs are long and sharp, piercing slowly through skin when he does so, waiting to feel the satisfying pop of his fangs slicing through the epidermis.

The sweet hyung that laughing with you was gone. Jungkook knew that a long time ago. But no matter how much time passes, he can never get used to this.

His only way out would be failure. Jungkook considered it many times, but due to his scent and his trail, the garden wouldn't be an option.

The door was always locked. None of them needed to use it anyway since they could jump out of the window of the twelfth floor and go unharmed.

It's evening. Jungkook needs to get up at six and start tapping blood. Jimin claims blood is better and worked up when he just woke up.

He has six glasses to fill.

There is one strict rule. NEVER drink from Jungkook without his consent or a warning where to bite.

Jimin made these statement very clear when they first got into the mansion that he bought. It's far from society so no one will suspect or hear Jungkook escape and scream for help.

He sat each vampire down with Jungkook on the other side, still human and unharmed but for a few scratches.

He kept getting hungry glares, but Jimin had cut them all off.

He explained the rules of vampires. There was a law made for a reason and just because they are living a longer life does not mean they have the right to consume any human or break the human law.

There are many vampires in the human society, but most choose to live human.

Jimin tried, but eventually he broke, leading to the tragic bloodbath in their old dormatory.

He's fully accepted his vampirism, and to prevent the others from going insane like he did, he made sure to teach them the vampiric way.

Even Taehyung, who had been angry at Jimin for an entire year, listened closely. He was the one helping Jungkook with daily tasks and asked for blood the least, but Jungkook caught him sneaking out to satisfy his bloodthirst multiple times.

Jungkook was a human, trapped within a horde of vampires.

He was glad with the consent rule though. One of the things is that when biting into a limp or hurting body part, it'll only hurt more and affect his use with that body part.

If someone drank from his leg when it was hurt, one of the things could be that he couldn't walk anymore.

He shivers at the memory and trots downstairs in his pajamas, sighing when he already sees the extractor.

It's just a pump with three different tubes. One from the needle in his skin to extract blood, the second to collect the blood in something, the third goes into his heart and helps pump faster.

It hurts a lot but it's for his safety. He's rather do this than have someone drink from his veins. He's covered in unhealed bite marks and scratch marks from their sharp nails.

He's never really seen them before. It just happens when they start drinking and then he just feels that pain.

He flinches when he pushes the needle into his skin and takes a deep breath as he slowly presses in the bulb, almost screaming at how his heart tightens before the blood squeezes through.

It takes almost half an hour for a single glass to fill up. And he has to do six.

He flinches when a hand lays itself in his neck, lowering the collar of his pajamas.

"You know I don't need a glass."

"I'm... tired, hyung. I'd appreciate it if you drank from a glass today."

Seokjin lets out an annoyed growl, letting go. "Again? I've been drinking from a glass for two days!"

"I'm sure it isn't a problem."

"I know! But it feels better! I'm tempted, Jungkook." The vampire growls. "It won't be long before I'll sink my fangs into you."

"Jimin will punish you."

"He'll only starve me. I've had it before. It's nothing to me anymore."

A chuckle catches the vampire off guard, immediately looking up at the stairs.

"Really? Good to know you build your immune system up. Shall we practice the sun?"

Immediately Seokjin backs away, his face morphing in fear. "No! No!"

"Than hold yourself to my rules and your pretty skin will still be white." Jimin lets out an annoyed hiss, grabbing onto Seokjin's collar. "Behave. You are the oldest, after all, hyung."

"N-no! You are the oldest!"

"Oh?" Jimin smirks. "I'm flattered, but it's rude to tell someone they're old. I won't talk about your wrinkles either if you don't talk about mine. Deal, hyung?"

A frustrated growl erupts from Seokjin's throat. "I don't have wrinkles." He snarls. "I'm still young and I'm alive!"

Jungkook whines at his growling tone, not liking the vampires in an argument. He never liked it here.

Jimin scoffs and crosses his arms. "You died in my arms before you literally twitched back to life like a zombie. You were dead."

Seokjin frowns. "Than why didn't you leave me for dead?!"

"We're still friends, Seokjin." Jimin says. "Even family. We bicker, but no matter how cruel or insane I must have been, even with a loose bolt I can never afford to lose you."

Seokjin huffs lightly but nods. "Don't put me out in sunlight. I don't want to get a tan within three minutes."

"In three minutes you'll be fried."

Seokjin shivers. "No thank you. It'll smell."

Jimin snorts and rolls his eyes. He looks over at Jungkook. He's squinting his eyes shut, his skin pale with the timing of pumping. He's panting with bags under his eyes, an empty gaze when he opens them.

His arm is completely numb, but he keeps going until the last glass is full.

He wastes no time to pull the tubes from his skin, holding his head. He's lightheaded. Like always...

"You okay?" Jimin asks, raising his full glass to his lips.

It sounds cold, but Jungkook is sure he cares. He hopes he cares.

He replies with a simple nod, ignoring the rising nausea. The first time he did this it made him sick and he threw up for a few days.

Over time it went better but it never really disappeared. Of course it still comes at the sight of taking blood from your own body.

"I'll be heading downstairs with Taehyung tonight." Jimin says slowly. "He won't be available. I advise to practice control with Hoseok."

"B-but--"

"No buts." Jimin growls. "He needs to learn how to feed correctly. No matter how rough it is, without the right bite, he can kill you if he bites wrong."

Jungkook gulps, feeling at his throat. He nods slowly. "Okay..."

Jimin grins at him, running a hand through the human's hair. "Good boy."

Jungkook is still scared of his eyes. Of the red glimmer when he growls, thirsty until they're glowing. He's afraid of his fangs, having sunken deep into his skin a few times before.

Jimin exhales deeply when he finishes his breakfast drink, frowning at Jungkook's fearful gaze to the ground.

"I'm sorry, Kookie." He mumbles quietly, before turning around and leaving, his words too quiet for the human to hear.

A few hours pass before the nauseating fades and Jungkook watches Taehyung nervously fiddle his fingers and continuously push his already bleeding thumb into the tip of his fangs.

When Jungkook asked why, he said that Jimin will scold him if he didn't take care of his fangs, but he does, even though Jimin claims that if you can't slice open your own finger, your fangs are bad.

Jungkook shivers at the thought of Jimin scolding him.

When he thought Jimin was human it was all fun and games, but now he's terrified that he'll actually kill or hurt him.

"So..." Taehyung mumbles, licking the drops from his thumb. "I heard Hobi hyung and you are... training?"

Jungkook nods. "Thirst control."

"Again?"

Another sad nod.

Taehyung frowns. "Last two times it went fine, right?"

Jungkook stays quiet except for a soft reply. "No..."

"It didn't?"

"We were locked into a room together for two hours. If I was still unharmed at the end, Hoseok was allowed to hunt. If I got hurt, he was starved for two days..."

Taehyung's eyes widen and he looks down. "So that's why Jimin drank Hoseok's glass..."

Jungkook nods. "And today it's gonna happen again... Over and over until he finally gets it."

Taehyung looks down. "I'm sorry... Even after three years you've put up with us. We're a pain... We're monsters even after those years. After that cursed day!"

A loud growl rips itself through his fangs, feeling guilty for the flinch that Jungkook shows.

He looks down at his lap with a sigh. "If I had just kept quiet and took you and ran away... We could have survived. But I ran off. I was selfish and stupid. I was such a child back then... Now I'll be a child forever. I'm staying like this for years. By the time I'm looking like an adult I'll be a hundred years old."

Jungkook stays quiet. Being a vampire used to sound good to him, but hearing Taehyung's struggle and seeing them struggle to control themselves around him is torture.

He can't take it.

He can't have a normal conversation without them being tempted for his blood, nor can he walk past them when they're angry.

He wants it to end.

He looks up when Jimin and Hoseok both trot down the stairs, Hoseok already with a guilty look on his face.

He doesn't want to do this either...

"Hoseok, the key." Jimin mumbles, handing him the small silver item. "Use it when you feel like it becomes too difficult."

"Yes, hyung."

Taehyung slowly gets up, mumbling a good luck to Jungkook before they disappear into the basement.

Hoseok already starts walking and Jungkook quickly follows, fear boiling inside of him. He still has one of Hoseok's marks from last time.

The one on his hand is the worst one thus far, still red and deep in his skin.

"Kook..." Hoseok mumbles softly once the door locks from the outside, the key in his hands now having no use anymore. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be." Jungkook whispers. "Eventually, we'll all be able to live normally."

Hoseok looks down sadly, shaking his head. "No... We never can. It's so hard Jungkook." He sniffles, running his hands over his eyes. "It's torture... What Jimin makes me do... I don't want to hurt you! I don't want to practice my thirst control with you as my bait! I just... I want to run! I want to get away from this life! I don't wanna keep doing this!!" He screams.

"H-Hyung..."

"No! I can't do this!" He screams, slamming his fists against the door. "I can't fucking do this!"

His sudden cuss has Jungkook widen his eyes in fear. Hoseok never curses, but when he does, it's bad.

He can see how tears stain Hoseok's cheeks, how he grabs his hair, mutters a series of no's and sinks to the floor in tears, shaking and trembling.

"Hyung... Are you okay--?"

"DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!!"

Jungkook flinches, backing away when he sees Hoseok's bloodshot eyes from his tears and his thirst.

"P-please..." He whimpers, diving his head in his knees. "I don't want to hurt you... Not again..."

With a soft sigh, Jungkook moves to the complete other side of the room. He looks at his hyung, watching his back heaving.

He feels bad. He wishes he would either just be killed or turned so he won't have to deal with... this.

The sadness, the torture of bloodlust around their friend, the sadness of taking ages to actually age.

There is no normal life for them anymore.

And Jungkook feels sorry for them to be the only human. He'd be useless and only getting them into more trouble.

He looks around for a moment, when he catches a window on top, just big enough for him to probably squeeze through.

"Hyung..."

"Kookie...?"

"Can you give me a hand and get me up there?" Jungkook asks, pointing at the window.

Hoseok stammers when he sees it. "W-why?"

Jungkook looks back down again. "I'm a troubling human in a house full of vampires. I bring panic and trouble everywhere I go. I'm tired and weak. It's better if I just... go."

Hoseok shakes his head. "You're no trouble! It's my fault! I'm just a stupid vampire who can't control himself after three years..."

"Hyung. I'm tired. If I keep doing this every day I might die from bloodloss."

Hoseok's eyes widen in fear but he nods and slowly gets up. "I don't want you to die. We can find another way to live... I'm sure of it."

Jungkook smiles softly and takes a leap up from Hoseok's hands, pushing open the tiny window and managing to squeeze himself through.

He lands on the grass with a huff, face flat with a pained back.

"Will you come see us again?" He hears Hoseok ask sadly, again nearing tears.

Jungkook looks through the window, only to see Hoseok's lip quivering and his eyes shaking as tears again well in his eyes.

"When the time is right..." Jungkook mumbles. "I'm sorry, hyung... I just can't live like this."

Hoseok nods and wipes his falling tears. "I'm going to miss you... We've been together for seven years, maybe even more. The thought of losing you..." He sniffles again. "I... I can't..."

Jungkook's heart stings at Hoseok's broken words. "I'll come back. I'm going to miss you, but I'm not leaving forever. I just... need to regenerate."

"Good luck, Kookie..."

Jungkook nods quietly before slowly walking away, his naked feet trembling in the grass as he wipes his own tears away.

Hoseok didn't mean for it to go this way, but Jungkook simply can't go on. It's too much...

With a sharp sting in his heart and a sight blurred by tears, he runs away, onto a better life.

°•●•°

"You WHAT?!"

"I-I just--..."

"YOU KNEW MY PLAN AND YOU STILL LET HIM GO?!!"

"H-hyung...--"

"If I knew it was this bad I would have never let it come to this point." Jimin grabs his hair furiously, turning and pacing all around to the point where it becomes annoying.

Taehyung has silently been sniffling. His best friend... left. Without a goodbye, without any word. No hints, no note.

Nothing...

Now suddenly Hoseok comes with this after they caught him balling his eyes out.

Jimin can't believe it all went so wrong... This was never the plan. He feels tears well up in his own eyes, sinking down to his knees and curling up, tugging at his hair as his tears fall, gritting his teeth.

"This is all my fault..." He whimpers.

"Hyung..."

"IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!" Jimin screams in tears. "If I just turned him then and there this would have never happened. If I never lost control this wouldn't have happened! It's all my fault..."

Taehyung looks at him. "You are not the only one grieving. I wish for him to return too. I'm not going to say it was t your fault because it is. But I'm not going to deny that we all caused a bit of his... y'know..."

"Creative way of escape." Yoongi growls softly. "The punk knows what he did, but we just don't."

Namjoon sighs deeply. "He didn't think this through. Hoseok clearly went insane in that room, so it happened near the first hour. Most likely the beginning."

"How?" Seokjin asks.

"His scent lingered. We all experienced that a scent without a body is the most tempting thing to hunt. He could be miles away..."

"Did he say anything about returning?" Jimin asks quietly.

Hoseok shrugs. "He said one day. When the time was right."

Jimin squeezes his eyes shut. "I'm going out. I'm going to find him. I'm going to get rid of this plan and just... tell him."

"Come to think of it, your plan was stupid anyway." Seokjin shrugs rudely. "I mean, think about it! Torture him until he'll beg to turn? No wonder he ran! The first time he dared to ask was the first time you punished him for asking!"

Jimin doesn't have the energy to glare at him. For once, Seokjin has made an actual point. It went on for too long...

"Fuck..." Jimin whines, wiping his tears before getting up. "I'm gonna go look for him. I'm going to tell him everything."

"I'm coming with you." Taehyung says, already getting up.

"No. I need to do this myself. If I'm the only one who goes, he might like me even more--!"

"STOP WITH THE FUCKING PLAN!!!" Namjoon suddenly snaps.

Almost everyone flinches, not having heard Namjoon shout like that in a long time.

"What you're doing is going to fail! You're trying to sell yourself to him! He won't fall in love with you this way, but the persona you set up. Besides, after all you've put us through, I don't know if he wants you."

His words are painful, stabbing Jimin's heart. He knows he's right. He's been blinded by the will to seem tough. Tough enough so Jungkook would think of him as a cool person. A strong vampire.

But he killed, he lied, he told him things that weren't necessary to know.

"You're right..." Jimin mutters.

"Just let us help to search." Hoseok says softly. "I... I helped him escape, but it did knock some sense into you. And... I...--"

"You what?" Yoongi growls.

"I accidentily scraped my fangs against his ankle..."

"That isn't really a problem. As long as you didn't release any venom." Seokjin shrugs.

As the vampire stays quiet, slowly the others begin to notice that Hoseok, in fact, did release venom. But he looks down in shame. It's clear that he still doesn't know how his venom works, but he felt it this time.

"But... then..." Jimin's eyes widen. "How long ago did he get out?!"

"An hour..."

"FUCK!!"

Jimin jumps up and wastes no time to rush out of the door, yelling for the others to follow.

Catching up, Jimin leads the run to where Hoseok pointed.

"A vampire's bite can take up to a maximum of two hours to activate, but the minimum is five minutes. He could possibly already be dead, or worse, in the middle of waking up and hunting!"

At his words, the other vampires' eyes widen in fear. They can't waste any time.

°•●•°

Tired, weak, exhausted. Jungkook lays on the grass, panting weakly. He can't run anymore. His feet hurt.

Just a little further... He thinks. I'm almost there...

But he flinches at the sound of rustling leaves, screaming when a bird lunges from the bushes.

He sighs in relief, continuing to stumble. But his mind soon fails himself. His sight blurs, his energy fading.

But then he hears another rustle and he hears whimpering. A voice. A whisper.

His face grows pale when he recognizes it and he looks around for any quick way out.

He looks up.

Those leaves on the trees... They're so thick, his scent probably won't be able to dig through.

Without hesitation he jumps up into the tree, grabbing onto the thick branch and climbing on it, reaching up to the next one and pulling him again.

He pants, almost falling down when his sight blurs and he misses his hand. He shakes his head, grabbing on tightly.

He climbs higher and higher, his sight blurring, his head spinning, he's panting, choking on his own air.

"Hyung... Do you hear that?"

"I do. It's not difficult to..."

"He's close."

"I hope... I can't leave him like this. I want to set things right. Out of everything I regret, this one is the worst..."

"Tell him that once we find him."

Jungkook can barely hear them. Is he dying? Is this what it's like to die...?

He can't think...

His heart clenches, his heartbeat weak and cold. What happened--

Reaching for his next branch, he slips, his ankle scratching past the branch beneath him.

Blood drips down the tree, onto the grass. Jungkook whimpers, grabbing on tightly. He's weak, his muscles can't hold on.

"What...?"

"JUNGKOOK!!"

He can't hear it anymore. It's all the beat of his heart in his ears. The cold reaches him everywhere.

His hand slips, and he falls.

"JUNGKOOK!!"

The scream seems deaf. Jungkook feels the wind against his skin, but he can't think. He's going to die. He's going to fall.

He feels the impact on the ground, spine breaking pain, not the sound in his throat to scream.

And then everything fades...

°•●•°

"Kookie! Kookie, wake up! Please wake up! You can't leave the world this way!!"

"Hyung... He's gone." Taehyung whispers softly.

Jungkook's body rests on Jimin's bed, blood soaking the sheets from the branch that hit his ankle and the fall that hit his head.

His heart stopped, his blood stopped flowing, his eyes never opened.

Maybe Hoseok did see wrong...

Maybe Hoseok didn't use his venom...

Maybe Jungkook is really dead...

Jimin feels tears welling his eyes. It can't be. He mustn't be. Jungkook can't die!

Biting his lip, he moves Jungkook's neck, baring his fangs, a drop of venom dripping onto the sheets as he sinks them into Jungkook's skin.

No scream.

No beat.

No grip.

He's already dead.

There is no need to die to be turned. Truth is, Jimin has no idea if you can turn someone who is already gone.

They say never to mess with the dead.

And perhaps that was his worst mistake.

The moment his venom fills the veins, a pale hand grabs his hair and pulls it away, tightly and harshly.

Jimin gasps, wincing at the pull.

His fans ripped open the skin, but in seconds it starts healing, melting together.

A deep sigh comes from the body as his eyes flutter open. His gaze is cold and judgmental, glaring at Jimin, who gulps shortly.

"It's rude to awaken someone who is sleeping."

"J-Jungkook--"

"You weren't asleep." Namjoon cuts in. "You died."

At his words, Jungkook scoffs. "It sounds like I'm alive. You're still pretending to be smart?"

"I'm not pretending to be smart." Namjoon crosses his arms. "Feel your chest. Tell me, does your heart beat?"

Jungkook frowns at him. It doesn't make sense. A vampire's heart doesn't beat... Right?

He feels his own chest as Namjoon told him to. Nothing.

He slowly shakes his head.

Jimin slowly lays a hand on Jungkook's chest, gasping when he really doesn't feel any beat.

But then how is he alive?!

"You're dead." Namjoon continues. "A state of Limbo in your body and mind. Lay back down, and go back to sleep. We'll make sure you awaken again."

Jungkook slowly looks down. Is he really in a state of Limbo?

But here are his friends... They're smiling at him... Right? But then why does he hear sobbing?

He slowly leans back, looking down at his hands. It's a blurry sight... But it smells like blood.

He looks at Namjoon again, who sits on the bed besides him. "Go back to sleep, Kook. They all want to see you awake."

Jungkook slowly closes his eyes, his consciousness fading again.

Was Namjoon right? Is he in Limbo? Is he... dead?

He hears sobbing. A soft presence in his hand. He tries to feel it. He squeezes it. It squeezes back. Voices surround him, whispers that try to drag him down.

There is a sea of darkness. Cold hands roaming his skin. They whisper things. Happy things. Good things. Peaceful things...

It's so tempting. The hands tug him down, shadows engulf him. The warmth on his hand fades.

No...

No...

He doesn't want the warmth to fade. It's cold down here. Freezing.

No. Get those hands away! It's suffocating!

Jungkook desperately reaches back to the light, but he feels a warmth again.

A warmth against his lips. Soft sniffles and a mumbling voice of apologies and a series of words.

J-Jimin...

He reaches out again, this time finally touching the light. It blinds him, before everything finally turns clear.

He breathes in a large breath of oxygen, his heart giving a loud pound before it starts beating again.

He flutters his eyes open, a smile crawling on his lips when he finally sees his friends again.

"Thank god!"

"Kookie!"

Both Jimin and Taehyung are holding him tightly, engulfing him in a hug.

It takes a minute to process it, but he wraps his arms around them, almost tearing up.

He missed them.

"Good evening, Sleeping Beauty." Namjoon smiles at him. "Glad you felt me."

"That was you?"

"You didn't see me?"

Jungkook grins. "I'm messing with you."

Namjoon chuckles, smiling at him.

Jungkook looks at each of his hyungs, noticing a small little detail. They don't look at him with any thirst. He can't see the struggle in their eyes.

"Hyung...?" Jungkook asks softly, looking at Jimin. "Am I... dead?"

Jimin bursts into a fit of laughter, shaking his head violently. "No! God no!"

"Than why is everyone so normal around me?"

"Jungkook." Yoongi grins. "You're a vampire now. We don't need to be bloodthirsty when you don't have any human blood."

Jungkook looks up at him with big eyes. He felt weird, sure. But that he's finally a vampire... Able to be normal with his friends. It's so comfortable now.

He won't have to live in fear.

"Why... Why are you crying?" Jimin asks softly.

Jungkook looks at him, pulling in for a hug again, going as far as to pull Jimin on to bed. "I'm not afraid anymore..." He whimpers. "I'm not scared anymore..."

His words are soft, but not unheard, as Jimin wraps his arms around Jungkook again.

Even Taehyung sheds a tear with a smile.

"Kookie... Can I tell you something?" Jimin whispers softly. "I... I need to do this now..."

Jungkook nods quickly.

Jimin takes a deep breath before finally speaking those words he always wanted to.

Screw the plan.

"I love you. And I really mean the love as in love. I know we said this a lot back then, but I mean it now. I love you..."

Jungkook's hands freeze for a moment, his eyes open wide in shock. But he's not disgusted. He's not... feeling guilty.

Jimin repeats the words a few more times before he suddenly feels lips against his own.

Does Jungkook love him back?

That's the question Jungkook wanted to find out. The moment their lips touched it was warm. Comfortable and adoring comfort running through him, his heart beating wilder, pounding against his ribcage.

Even when they part, Jimin has a sparkle in his eyes.

It's beautiful...

With that information, Jungkook can finally reply. An answer to Jimin's anticipating emotion of love.

"You've held me captive, but you also held me close for protection. You've forced me to feed you, but also took care of me. My well-being was always your priority. So now yours will be mine."

Jimin's plump lips pull up into a wide smile.

"I love you, hyung. So please never leave me to die out there again... Just keep holding me until we both fall asleep. Just let me hug you until you relax and kiss you goodnight."

Seokjin and Yoongi, who have stayed silent, finally give a rising smile.

The torment is over. No more human slip-ups. No more never-ending bloodthirst.

Namjoon was lucky that it worked. He read it somewhere before but it was never proven to be affective.

From today on, he can confirm.

And from today on, Jimin and Jungkook stay strong. But not as a normal couple. But a vampire couple, whose love will keep on for centuries.
