It's a cold winter day, snow trickling down the from the skies. It was all supposed to be fun and games.
But Hoseok and Jimin are terrified of what is in front of them.
It all its ups and downs, but his friends insisted it wasn't harmful.
But they were terribly wrong when they saw the consequences.
°•●•°
"So, what did you wanna say out of class?"
"Sleepover?"
Hoseok cocks his brow at the older. "What?"
"Sleepover." Yoongi says again. "At my place. My parents are out so this would be perfect to get together finally."
"That coming from you! Wow, hyung!"
"Don't get used to it." Yoongi huffs.
Seokjin frowns a little. "Is it okay for your parents to be out and us in?"
"Do I look like I care?"
"Never have."
Jimin frowns. "I agree with Jin hyung. It doesn't feel right without your parents' permission."
"Come on!" Jungkook grins. "Wouldn't you wanna see what his house is like for his skin to be all spooky?"
Yoongi smacks Jungkook's hand away with a scowl. "Very funny."
Jimin looks up at Hoseok and Seokjin. The oldest just sighs in defeat and agrees, causing Hoseok to jump in too in panic.
Jimin gulps a little but nods.
And that is how they all ended up in the large house of Yoongi's parents.
The exterior was dark, probably the cause of Yoongi's skin. The bricks were a mix math of usual red bricks, greys, blacks, and even purple.
The front yard was filled with pumpkins of all kinds, little seeds spouted here and there, a few jars placed on a slab of wood with some vines coming from the open mouth of it.
The entrance door was two doors wide, painted pitch black with two hold ring rusty handles for the way in.
Lanterns hung by the side, candles inside nearly burnt out, wax dripping in the basket below them.
Yoongi simply opens the door, eyes widening a little as he rolls his eyes.
"I knew my parents were sloppy people." He grins.
Jimin looks back Namjoon's shoulder, frowning a little.
"You cook in a cauldron?" Namjoon asks, tilting his head.
"Of course not." Yoongi laughs. "We use it for science. My parents live very... magical lives, I suppose."
Hoseok gulps when looking around. The lighting is dim, the only source being candles on the walls and little glowing mushrooms in pots and jars.
There is red carpet on the dark wooden floor, the wallpaper is covered in runes, hanging garlic and other stuff you'd surprisingly see in a movie about witchcraft.
Jimin look at Hoseok, who look down at him. Both of them are nervous.
Slowly, Jimin tries to slot hands with him, which Hoseok gladly takes with a light blush of his cheeks.
"Your mom stocked up crazy on garlic. She's terrified of vampires, isn't she?"
"Ever since dad died, she refuses to have any vampire in the house." Yoongi sighs. "Thankfully my stepfather respects our ways."
"Doesn't it hurt you?" Jungkook asks again. "You know... as a half breed?"
"I don't have the full gen. I just have the little things. Pigment, night owl, that stuff."
"Damn... Permanent reminders." Seokjin mumbles.
"Sadly. Yes."
Hoseok lets out a loud scream and points at something, squeezing Jimin's hand tightly.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?!"
"What?" Taehyung looks up.
He's been quiet lately. No one really knows why because he won't say. Whenever he gets called out for his silence, he turns back into the bubbly chatty kid they all know and love.
Yoongi looks over at where Hoseok points.
A bunch of floating human limbs in jars. Fingers, eyeballs, the usual.
"Oh. That's fake." Yoongi smiles. "No worries. We have a lot of that around the house. Mom thinks they keep shapeshifters away, but it's just a myth."
"You have a freaky mom!" Hoseok comments, shivering.
Yoongi shrugs and grabs a stool from the table, climbing on it and reaching for the very top of the highest cabinets. There is a bookshelf there full of old and dusty books.
Surely more than a thousand pages...
Yoongi's hand brushes the book covers, reading the engraved title with the tip of his finger until he pulls one out.
Dust flies out of the shelf with the pull, making him cough as he blows the dust on the book away as well, climbing down.
He waves the book in front of his friends with a grin, urging them to come upstairs with him.
"Your house certainly is something, hyung." Namjoon mutters. "Both fascinatingly interesting and horrifically stuffed."
Yoongi nods, opening the door to his room with a loud creak.
An eery shiver runs down Jimin's spine as he goes in, still holding Hoseok's hand.
To his surprise, Yoongi's room is clean of the creepy house stuff. It's still as dark as the rest of it, filled with deep red candles, all full and lit.
There is a dark grey carpet nearly everywhere around the room, but in the middle against the wall is a twin sized bed, sheets made and pillows full.
Instead of landing on the bed, however, Yoongi sits on his carpet with crossed legs, laying the book out in front of him.
"Tonight is the night."
"The night of what?" Seokjin asks, sitting down next to him.
Yoongi smirks. "The night of the Untamed Purge."
"Oh, hell no!" Hoseok yells. "I am not performing in a Satanic ritual!"
"It is not Satanic." Jungkook shakes his head, taking a seat. "The Untamed Purge is a religion of dead spirits who want revenge, being brought back for a single night to kill whomever they want. They are untamed. But only those powerful enough to show them dominance can survive their vicious deaths."
Jimin shivers, standing, even as Namjoon sits down.
"Is this something that really happened before?" He asks.
"Oh, yes." Seokjin nods, pulling Taehyung next to him and in front of him. "Many times."
"I don't like this." Hoseok scowls. "This doesn't feel like an honest sleepover. People do pillow fights and ghost stories... Not try and revive a purge."
"Do you truly believe it?" Jungkook asks.
"The way you all speak of it makes me think it is!" Hoseok snaps. "I'm not staying! You guys are freaking me out and I'm not in for another prank!"
As Hoseok turns away and lets go of Jimin's hand, a powerful force slams the doors closed in Hoseok's face.
The human gasps and gulps, looking back.
He sees Yoongi's arm outstretched, a scowl on his face and the book paged out in front of him.
Hoseok would've told him to stop the pranks, but nothing could explain the deep purple eyes that just screamed venom all out over him.
No one can put in contacts with 2 seconds...
"You will not leave this home tonight under any circumstances." Yoongi growls. "I do not care whether you have plans, because you have made them with me. This is something I must do to fulfill my father's wish."
"Yoongi hyung, I really don't care!" Hoseok laughs loudly. "I want to get out! There is nothing you can do to stop me! You are holding me trapped against my own will!"
"I would have let you go if you hadn't agreed to come and stay." Yoongi smirks. "But you did, and here you must stay. The purge will not enter this house."
"I DON'T CARE!!" Hoseok screams again. "I want out!"
"You may not!"
"You can't force me to stay!"
"Oh! I can! And I will!"
Yoongi's fingers curl and twitch. Jimin's eyes grow wide in fear as from Yoongi's very own shadow comes a long, slim, spikey tentacle-like creature, which shoots forward towards the younger human and wraps itself tightly around his throat.
Hoseok gasps for air, screaming out when the spikes break his skin.
Sweet blood trickles down his neck, as Taehyung snaps his head up at him.
"Stay." Jungkook growls, having Taehyung growl back at him.
"What the hell are you?!" Jimin screams, trying to pull the spiked tentacle away, or at least loosen it.
Yoongi laughs darkly, raising his other hand as well and wraps the second spiked tentacle around Jimin's waist.
"I'm a son in a long lineage of ancient sorcerers. I've been taught black magic from when I was a baby, only to release it upon the world like my entire family did."
Yoongi moves his hand over to the empty spots, the shadows forcing both humans to kneel in the circle.
"Couldn't you have invited some of your sorcerer friends then?!" Hoseok snaps.
Yoongi clicks his tongue. "Yes, I could have. But I didn't want to. My sorcerer friends are... good. I don't like that."
Namjoon hesitantly raises his hand, pointing at a growling Taehyung. "And... Tae?"
"Taehyung is mine." Seokjin says, reaching and rubbing over Taehyung's head, running his hand through his hair. "He's the son of a mix between a werewolf and a pixie. This makes him a loyal, adorable, cuddly werewolf kid with incredible magic."
"So... Other than Jimin, Hoseok, and I, you are all...?"
"Sorcerers. Yes." Jungkook smirks. "Long families."
Namjoon gulps nervously, looking at the shadows that hold Jimin and Hoseok down. The tentacle from Hoseok's neck has moved to his waist, trapping his arms.
Blood is still trickling down from the holes in his neck.
"May I ask..." Namjoon mumbles. "Why is Taehyung in the middle?"
"He hates being out of protection." Seokjin replies, holding the werewolf's hands. "He's scared, and still so young."
Taehyung looks at Namjoon with big innocent eyes, turning his head down.
"You can pet me..."
"What?"
"It's written all over you." Taehyung says softly. "Curiosity..."
"Can I... really?"
Taehyung nods again.
Seokjin smiles a little at him, nodding as Namjoon hesitantly reaches out to him.
Taehyung purrs at the warm contact, smiling at the shyness.
Yoongi huffs. "Enough petting." He snarls. "It's time for the purge."
Jungkook nods as Namjoon pulls his hand away.
"What are we here for?"
"Humans are like wiring." Seokjin explains. "Your body works different than ours. Our magic leads through humans to empower the range we have. The more humans, the bigger our range."
Namjoon nods slightly. "Does it hurt?"
"Depending on our magic, it could." Yoongi says. "My magic for example could kill a mere human if not divided. But Jungkook's could enhance it, where Jin could neutralize it."
Namjoon looks up. "What is the purpose of the purge you're making?"
Yoongi grins. "It's a family tradition. One night in the year the family leaves their oldest to make the purge ritual to bring peace to those hidden from humanity. It's an honor to do. Only one sorcerer may call upon a purge once a year."
"Than find other humans!" Hoseok screams. "I want nothing to do with this!"
Jimin stays quiet.
Yoongi rolls his eyes. "Just hold hands or something. Make sure the magic keeps flowing."
Hoseok scowls at him, holding both hands as far back as he can, until Yoongi pushes his arms into a formed hand holding position.
"Please don't fight it..." Jimin whimpers. "If we do this, we'll both survive the purge..."
"But my family! My parents! My sister!"
"Spirits recognize the scents on us." Jungkook smiles at him. "You share the same scent as your entire family does. They will not attack you, nor your family."
Hoseok sighs deeply. "Fine..."
He grabs Jimin's hand in his, accepting the hand Namjoon offers him.
He's scared.
Namjoon takes the hand of Taehyung who connects with Seokjin, where Seokjin connects with Yoongi and Yoongi to Jungkook. Jimin is the one to bind them fully, connecting with Jungkook and Hoseok.
Yoongi's eyes close, as do the other sorcerers'. Namjoon follows their lead, but Jimin hesitates, looking at Hoseok one last time until both of them close their eyes as well.
With the candles flickering high, the heat grows in the room. Yoongi begins to cast in an unknown language, his body surrounding in black and white lightning sparks.
He grits his teeth a few times, feeling the burning shock when they electrify him.
They catch in his hands, shooting on through both Jungkook and Seokjin's body. To Taehyung who lets out a dog-like yelp, and the humans.
Jimin lets out a scream of pain, having taken the white electricity much too harshly on his fragile body.
Namjoon gasps out, clenching his jaw and tightening his muscles as the black lightning courses through him.
But they come together at Hoseok.
Hoseok screams, his body jolting and writhing, tears falling from his eyes, unable to move or fall over.
His eyes open, glowing a bright white in his right eye and a pitch black in his left as he stares right at Yoongi.
His face is expressionless as in an echoing tone he speaks to the sorcerer.
"Your summoning will bring us joy once more. You shall be spared, along with those who freed us into the wilderness. Have this glory into your family until your days shall end."
Yoongi smirks.
"Thank you, and may your purge be ever so successful."
Hoseok's eyes fade back to their hazel orbs, his body collapsing in the shadows. The spikes slowly retreat, letting go of Jimin and minimizing their grip on Hoseok.
The lightning courses back through the others, surrounding Yoongi once more until the sky turns with black mist.
Thunder roars in the skies as rain starts smashing down on the windows, growling screams of the spirits filling the streets.
The lightning slowly enters Yoongi's body, dimming down.
Yoongi pants a little, letting go of their hands, as does everyone else.
"Hoseok!" Jimin kneels down besides the limp human. "Will he wake?"
"He's just asleep." Seokjin says. "The power for a human is much too strong if the spirits choose to answer the call. Hoseok was their choice."
"He's fine." Jungkook crosses his arms. "He'll wake up in the morning."
Jimin sighs in relief, collapsing onto the older human's body, his muscles giving out.
"Although..." Taehyung whispers softly, looking at a panting Namjoon, who bows over on his knees.
"Our magic is strongly matured." Seokjin continues. "It might give you some side effects."
"What...?" Namjoon's eyes widen. "Side effects?"
"Sometimes our magic can part from the stream. And break off into the body, meaning you have a bit of our magic living inside of you." Jungkook explains. "But it shouldn't be too bad."
Taehyung wraps his hand around Namjoon's, calming the human slightly from the burst of magic that came from them.
"You feeling alright?"
"I'm fine..." Namjoon pants. "I'm okay..."
"If you feel any side effects." Yoongi growls. "Call me immediately."
"I will." Namjoon nods.
"For now you stay." Yoongi says. "I want you all to be safe from the purge, and Hoseok and Jimin need rest. I have some raw steak for Taehyung in the fridge and I prepared some food for us. Namjoon, would you like to rest or to eat?"
Namjoon hesitantly sits up. "Can I eat?"
Seokjin nods and gets up. "Rest on the bed a bit, I'll go grab you something to eat."
"Thank you, hyung."

The next day, Hoseok is awoken by the TV, a dim candle flame lighting his vision.
"Last night there seemed to be suicide bomb, just like the one from seven years ago. The amount of deaths has even increased since last time, and many fear for their lives."
"Good morning."
Hoseok looks down at Yoongi, who sits against his bed, watching the TV.
"Morning..." He mutters, running a hand through his messy hair. "I had a crazy dream..."
"About a purge? That happened."
Hoseok's eyes widen. "Wait what?"
"Yeah, I fulfilled my duty." Yoongi smirks. "I got a call today that my parents saw the news as well. They are proud of me."
Hoseok sits up, scowling at the older. "You used us."
"Of course I did." Yoongi turns to look at him. "But you did well. You're really strong, Hoseok, to have survived this with only passing out. The spirits could have killed you, they would kill any human if possessing them for as long as you held them. But you survived."
Hoseok looks down. "I'm not proud of it. I let myself get dragged here. I knew something was up with that cauldron and all those potions."
"In the kitchen? We still cook normally. There's oil in the potions and salt, pepper, a grinder, the cauldron in a smaller form for soups or even a flat one for greens and pancakes. Where we make our potions happens in a different room."
Hesitantly, Hoseok looks at him. Potions sound scary. Most sorcerers, wizards and witches in movies are evil. And Yoongi has specifically said he was trained in dark magic.
"Do you kill people?"
Yoongi smiles at him. "Do you think we do things ourselves when we always have some sort of familiar?"
"Familiar...?"
"A helper." Yoongi chuckles, climbing up on the bed. "I used to have a cat. But now I have a dog. My cat got curious and... she died by another sorcerer. But she's in hell now, so she'll do great."
"Where is the dog?"
"Asleep in his playroom."
"May I... see him?"
Yoongi smiles at him and nods. "Come on. Let me help."
Hoseok slides out of bed, his legs shaking a little as Yoongi comes to help him walk.
Now at day, the house is still grim, but Hoseok doesn't think it's as scary as before, now knowing what Yoongi truly is and how he lives.
In some way... It's interesting.
The room next to Yoongi's opens with a click, gently making room for the two men to slip in.
Hoseok's face breaks into a big smile at the big brown fluffy dog sleeping in the big soft black basket.
"His name is Holly." Yoongi whispers. "He's very loyal and kind."
Hoseok kneels down a little, watching as Holly's stomach slowly rises up and down.
"He's so cute..."
"My dad got him for me..." Yoongi mumbles. "For the last birthday before he passed..."
"I'm sorry."
"I'm fine." Yoongi smiles. "He's an adorable boy."
Hoseok sighs deeply, feeling at peace for the first time since arriving there.
Yoongi looks up at him. "Are you still scared of us?"
"No." Hoseok shakes his head. "I'm just... confused. We're your friends. You should have told us and we would have helped you willingly. Now I'll have... scars..."
He reaches for his throat, where white little scars are scattered around his neck.
"I'm sorry about that. Jin can fix it."
"Healing?"
"More or so." Yoongi shrugs. "He can take a scar or pain and readjust it to his will, or give it to someone else."
Hoseok looks at him with wide eyes. "And... Jungkook?"
"He can transform living and non-living things into something he has his hands on." Yoongi explains. "If he holds a potato, for example, he could turn a person into a potato."
Hoseok bursts into laughter, waking Holly, who jolts his head up in surprise, his floppy ears flopping on his head.
Holly whines a little, getting up and walking over to Yoongi, wagging his tail as he sniffs Hoseok.
"Oh! I'm sorry!" Hoseok squeaks, quickly laying a hand on Holly's fluffy head, who leans down on Yoongi's knee.
Although before Hoseok's hand touches Holly, he flinches, his hand jolting out of place as he releases a loud whine.
His body feels cold, his head drained empty.
Yoongi rubs a hand over his head with a tsk.
"If it happens to you it should be Jimin or Namjoon."
"What does this all mean?!"
"It's a new power." Yoongi mutters. "It comes forth through ours, but since having two of the same in the world is impossible, it alters to if they had been a sorcerer by birth what they should have gotten."
"So... like your shadow things?"
Yoongi nods. "It's the power of a Mind Manipulator. Someone who can control anyone to their will. Animals, people... anything. They can read minds and alter their thoughts, turn them insane, or possibly make it so powerful they'll obey the sorcerer mindlessly, turning them into a will-less zombie."
Hoseok gulps. Whoever has this surely won't use it on him... Right?
"Than why did it hurt so much?"
"He took our minds in. Uncontrollable want, or fear, can cause a power to get out of control." Yoongi sighs. "One of them just took our thoughts. It's a simple trick but incredibly painful as he should now be rolling on the floor in pain of all our thoughts at once."
"Oh god!" Hoseok yells, getting up and immediately running back to the bedroom. He slams the door open, eyes widening.
He falls down to the floor and holds the smaller writhing human, who can't talk from his constant sniffles and cries and screams.
Jimin's hands are locked in his hair, pulling and rolling on the floor, gritting his teeth and screaming.
"Jiminie!"
Hoseok quickly goes to hold the younger, pulling him into a tight hug.
Watery blobs fall on his shirt, but Hoseok doesn't care. Jimin scratches his back harshly, pulling him closer and closer.
But as this happens, Hoseok realizes something.
Jimin is a Mind Manipulator for the amount that the side effects work.
His love secret might just meet his end...
No! No!
Hoseok mans up a little, holding Jimin tighter. He can keep it a secret! Just don't think about Jimin...
°•●•°
After nearly an hour of Jimin trying to calm down, he finally manages to part himself from Hoseok.
Jimin gulps a little, wiping his cheeks dry and looking down.
"Are you okay?" Hoseok asks.
Jimin looks up at him, eyes tiredly looking out at him.
"I hope he's okay... I really hope Yoongi didn't lie about this."
"What would Yoongi lie about...?"
"What?"
"You hoped Yoongi didn't lie to you..."
Hoseok's eyes widen, gulping nervously. "I didn't say that."
"But I heard you say it." Jimin protests. "I heard it!"
Hoseok grabs his hand, taking a deep breath. "Yoongi told me someone would be a Mind Manipulator. They read minds. You read my mind just now."
Jimin's eyes widen in fear.
"W-what...?"
Hoseok sighs deeply. "I'll let Yoongi explain..."
"He better!" Jimin snarls. "I do not want to be stuck reading people's pathetic minds!"
He covers his mouth.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!"
Seokjin tilts his head. "Sorcerers are against humanity by nature." He says. "You calling minds pathetic is just a way we act around humans."
"Are you saying I'm stuck like this?!!"
"For some time, yes."
Jimin frowns angrily. "I would like to strangle you, but I don't have that strength."
His eyes fall on a certain someone.
"But Kookie has."
"Wait what--?!"
Jungkook's mouth cuts itself off, his body trembling as his eyes screw shut until they open, lifelessly staring out at Seokjin.
Hoseok crawls back a bit as he watches Jungkook lunge at the oldest.
But Seokjin smirks, choking a little at the hands wrapping around his throat, eyes staring at Jimin.
The younger begins to gasp for air, falling to his knees.
Immediately Jungkook's grip falls, his body trembling a bit as he stares around, dumbfounded.
Even Taehyung has curled up against Namjoon's sleeping body in fear.
"Never do that again..." Hoseok whimpers.
Jimin's eyes tear up, sniffling as he looks down at himself. "I don't want this... I don't like this... I didn't mean it!"
Seokjin tsks softly, kneeling down to give the boy a hug.
"I know it's tough, but as long as you don't accept the power you're given, you won't become a sorcerer."
"WAIT WHAT?!!"
Hoseok's eyes are wide as he shoots forward.
"PERMANENTLY?!!"
Seokjin nods. "The tricky thing is that once powers are given, the human who receives them are sorcerers. If they accept what they have, they'll keep it, becoming a sorcerer themselves."
Jimin feels tears falling. He doesn't want it anyway.
"What if... What if I like my power?" Hoseok asks nervously.
"You will become a sorcerer."
"THIS IS LUDACRIS!!" Jimin screams. "Why did I get such a painful one?!!"
Jungkook pants a little. "The power you have now is the power you'd have if you were born a sorcerer." He whispers. "You'd be a strong one..."
Jimin grits his teeth. "I don't want to be a strong sorcerer. I want to be a normal human!"
Seokjin sighs. "I know... I know..."
°•●•°
Taehyung cuddles against Namjoon, holding his hand.
The human has woken up by now, still tired, but thankful for the wolf's company.
But Taehyung squeaks of something cold, pulling away. His eyed grow wide when he holds up their hands. Even Namjoon frowns a little, having felt a stinging cold rush over his hand.
Taehyung looks everywhere. Their nails, fingers, even the veins in their hands.
Everything is identical.
"You... You're..."
"What happened?" Namjoon mumbles, eyes widening in shock when a scaly texture runs over his hand, morphing it back into his own.
"Shapeshifting..." Taehyung whimpers.
"Shape... shifting?" Namjoon gulps nervously.
One of the side effects, he remembers. But a full power, he didn't expect.
He tries it again, holding Taehyung's hand and watching as the scales flip over on his skin again, transforming.
"Woah..."
"Don't!" Taehyung yells. "You'll never be human again if you... If you do it often..."
"What do you mean?"
"You can become a sorcerer, hyung..."
Namjoon looks down at him, eyes wide and looking at his hand.
"I get it. I'll try to control it."
Taehyung smiles at him and purrs a little. "You'll have to look for a familiar if you don't."
"Can't I just take you?" Namjoon laughs softly. "You know me better than anyone."
"I am Jin's familiar." Taehyung says. "Familiars may not be chosen. The familiar chooses you."
"Ah..." Namjoon nods, understanding the point.
Still, he wonders what if Taehyung had chosen him. What if he had been a sorcerer from birth? Would he have chosen him?
"Oh god."
Namjoon looks up, smiling when he sees Jimin standing.
"Morning."
"That's weird. You're weird."
"What is?"
"Thinking of Taehyung as your familiar. I'd choose a predator. An cat of some sort."
"How did you...?" Namjoon smiles at him, laughing softly. "I suppose it is. But I can't help it. He's so cute."
Taehyung smiles brightly at him.
"Yeah, yeah. You and your obsessive ways."
Jimin stares at him for a moment, eyes widening.
"You have shapeshifting?!"
"How did--... You read minds, don't you?"
Jimin smiles, nodding. "I'm on training by Yoongi. He told me to go and report to him what you're thinking of."
Namjoon looks at him. "Please leave the part about Taehyung out of it. I don't want Seokjin mad at me."
"I won't."
°•●•°
Hoseok looks up at Jungkook, nervously fiddling his fingers.
"It's certainly uncommon to see a power like the one you have now."
"I... I-"
"You don't have to say anything." Jungkook smiles. "It's a difficult thing."
"I couldn't control it... I'm sorry..."
"Don't be." Jungkook rubs his wrist. "It hurt. But that's the point. Some have powers that do things mentally, others physically. Yours, in this, is physical."
Hoseok looks down, rubbing his neck.
"Electricity is a strong thing, and you should definitely never use it to harm someone... Unless you feel like it."
"What?--"
"But that's besides the point." Jungkook cuts him off. "If you not want to harm someone, just don't touch them!"
Hoseok nods a bit. His sudden power shocked him, just as Jungkook.
When he went to grab Jungkook, he felt his entire body shaking, burning inside as his hands just lit up under the touch, electricity sparked off Jungkook's skin, leaving him with a nasty scar.
Unlike Jimin though, he didn't go through tremendous pain. He'd never know what the pain of a Mind Manipulator is.
All he knows that he's filled with coursing stings, electricity popping from his body every now and then.
He really hopes that he can focus on his power rather than Jimin...
"How do you think Jimin is doing?"
"With Yoongi's help, he'll be fine." Jungkook shrugs.
Hoseok sighs deeply, blinking a bit and rubbing his eyes. He looks back at Jungkook, who is rubbing his wrist again.
As soon as he looks back, he flinches a bit.
"Oh-- What...?"
Hoseok tilts his head a little. "What?"
"You... Your eyes, they... You suddenly..." Jungkook stammers, but shakes his head. "Storm." He mumbles. "You're not an Elec, you're a Storm."
"What does that mean?"
"You control weather." Jungkook sighs. "It's one of the most difficult to control and adapts to your emotions. If you feel angry, the weather gets angry, etcetera..."
Hoseok's eyes widen, his lips curling into a smile. "So I can make every day sunny?"
"If you're every day happy."
"That's awesome!"
Jungkook grabs his wrist. "Do not like it." He snarls. "You will be a sorcerer. Your parents, your family, you will be a secret to them. You'll be a sensitive, powerful soul. Humans... They're... obnoxious."
Hoseok nods with a light frown, speaking out of knowing. "Humans are foolish creatures."
"Don't talk like us." Jungkook snaps.
"I can talk however I want to!" Hoseok barks back angrily.
Jungkook flinches when there is a loud crash of thunder, looking out of the curtains to show a whirl of black clouds, lightning flashing before the loud thunder crashes down.
"Calm down, Hoseok." Jungkook grabs his wrist, but Hoseok pulls away.
"Do not tell me what to do!"
"Hoseok, keep your voice down!"
"Do NOT tell me what to do!!"
Hoseok's burst causes the windows to fly open, a loud howling stormy wind coursing the room.
Jungkook growls at him, trying to grab onto something. Drastic actions causes for drastic measures.
But before he can use his powers, Hoseok rushes forward, grabbing onto his throat.
"If you dare," He smirks. "I will destroy everything you stand for."
Jungkook gulps, nodding quietly.
Hoseok lets him go, sighing a little as he turns around and leaves the room. He stares around the hallway, taking the stairs down into the kitchen.
He tilts his head a little.
"Jin hyung...?"
Seokjin turns with a smile. "Hey Hobi! How are you now?"
"I'm... uneasy." Hoseok sighs, his eyes slowly turning to him.
The sight shocks Seokjin. "But... Jungkook said you..."
"It came late." Hoseok mumbles, sighing again as he slides into a chair. "But... I just... I just lost it."
"What do you mean?"
Seokjin comes to sit with him, laying a hand on his shoulder.
"I think I hurt Kookie." Hoseok whines. "I don't know what happened! I just felt different! I made thunder and- and I threatened Kookie!"
Seokjin's eyes widen. "You shouldn't play with your powers, Hoseok. You'll be like us..."
"Again with that!" Hoseok snaps. "I have no control! It's an uncontrollable switch! I don't want to like it, I don't want to have it! I can still feel Yoongi's powers inside me and they hurt! But it's happened twice now that I am one of yours! And I can't control it!"
Seokjin nods. "It happened. The best we can do is keep you calm and help you until sunset."
Hoseok nods a little. "How's Joon doing?"
"Tempted." Seokjin chuckles. "He keeps messing with me by making me stare at my own face. And I have to say, I almost want to glue him in place like that. As you know, I am quite handsome."
Hoseok rolls his eyes and laughs softly. "If only it was as easy as they say, am I right?"
Seokjin tilts his head a little. "You're not talking about my situation, are you?" He grins. "You're out there, but not in here."
Hoseok smiles sheepishly, nodding quietly.
"So, who's the lucky guy?"
"What?"
"You're head over heels. Who's the lucky one?"
Hoseok chuckles a little and looks down at his hands. "Well... He's handsome."
"It's me!"
"No!" Hoseok laughs. "He's... He's talented and kind. He... He'll know if I love him..." Hoseok smiles slightly. "Because... well... He can see right through me."
Seokjin smiles at him. "Is he small and cute?"
Hoseok nods with a chuckle. "Jiminie is really something..."
"You should tell him."
"I know..."
Hoseok sighs deeply. He rubs his arms, slowly looking up to see soft drops of rain tricking down from the revealed window slits.
Seokjin rubs his shoulder. "Hoseok, you should tell him. Really. Especially now when he needs your help. Mind Manipulators are in pain most of the time when they start. Even a simple task as reading them is painful."
Hoseok frowns a little, but nods. Being a Storm doesn't change what he is. He is human, and refusing to be a sorcerer is as easy as it is.
He gets up from the chair and runs upstairs, knocking on Yoongi's bedroom door.
The door is opened by a smiling Jimin, who tilts his head. "Yoongi isn't here. He's taking a bathroom break."
"O-oh... I didn't come for him!" Hoseok smiles sheepishly. "I came for you..."
Jimin tilts his head. "Why?"
Hoseok gulps.
"Come on... Just say it... It shouldn't be this hard!"
Jimin smiles a little. "Why?" He asks again.
Hoseok stares at him, mouth opening. "I... I..."
Hoseok groans, grabbing his hair.
"Why?! Why are the words so god damn difficult to say! Come on Hobi! Just say it! Those simple words!"
Jimin smiles. "Take your time." He says sweetly.
Much too sweetly...
Hoseok smiles back at him, but inside he's struggling.
"Those four words... Come on Hoseok! Just tell him! Just say: Jimin, I'm in love with you!"
Jimin's eyes widen a little, shaking his head to cut himself out from Hoseok's head.
And that tiny little quirk of his eyes makes Hoseok's eyes widen as well.
"You... You read..."
Jimin nods quietly. "I'm sorry..." He whispers.
Hoseok sighs and rubs the back of his neck, looking down. "No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken so long."
"It's fine Hobi." Jimin smiles.
Hoseok looks away slightly, thinking of words to say, to scared to ask if he feels the same.
But Jimin's smile grows wider, pulling at Hoseok's shirt to pull him down and places his lips tightly against the older's.
Hoseok squeaks a little, but quickly melts against him.
He can feel his heart pounding in his chest, grabbing Jimin's hands tightly.
Through the closed curtains, a bright beam of sun shines through.
But not only for Hoseok is it a relief. Jimin is also melting in happiness from the warmth.
And for that moment. That single moment. He's happy that he's a Mind Manipulator. He's happy that he helped Hoseok to confess. He's happy that he can... be this.
The moment they part, Hoseok quickly engulfs Jimin is a hug, smiling widely.
"I love you..."
Jimin smiles. "I know." He chuckles. "I love you too, Hobi."
"I know."
Hoseok breaks their hug, looking at Jimin.
Jimin tilts his head a little, cupping Hoseok's cheek. "Your eyes..."
"Yours too." Hoseok mumbles.
Jimin's eyes have gone from their hazel blue to a crystal blue, a little purple surrounding his pupil.
It makes him look tempting. Tempting to hold, to connect.
Whereas Hoseok's have become a stormy grey, white and black mixed within to show disrupt and chaos.
Although the sight had made both men suddenly realize why this is.
They were told not to accept their powers. Not to like them. Not to want to use them.
But Hoseok was glad that Jimin understood how he felt. How the sun would always warm them up.
And Jimin was glad he could help to see their relationship evolve.
By those simple things, they've become the thing no one wanted them to be.
Sorcerers.
It didn't hurt. It wasn't painful. It was flawless and smooth.
Hoseok just scoffs a little, knowing both of them have come clear to it. He smirks, pulling Jimin in for another deep kiss, who gladly accepts it.
"Did I miss something here?"
Jimin glares at the open door, eyes burning into Yoongi's.
Yoongi frowns at the sight before rolling his eyes with a grin.
"I'll leave you two be."
Hoseok chuckles once the door has closed on them. "You did that, didn't you?"
Jimin smiles innocently. "I've been practicing."
"I can see."
Hoseok connects their lips again, but grumbles in annoyance when he hears Seokjin shouting.
Even Jimin seems annoyed.
With a light grin, Hoseok grabs Jimin's hand and leads him out of the room. If they can't shut them up, they can at least join them.
Only to their surprise, there are two Yoongi's angrily cussing at each other. Only one of them has predatory eyes.
"I told you not to use it and look at what you did!!"
"Maybe I don't want to be human!"
"Being human is a blessing to people like us!!"
"Liar." Jimin chuckles. "You hate humans as much as I do."
The real Yoongi turns to him with a scowl. "And you two, you two should know better! Namjoon, I get! But you two?!"
"Let them be." Seokjin grins. "There is no need to hide now. They can stay with us and even perform the other rituals each year."
Yoongi huffs and looks away, crossing his arms as the fake version of him scales back to the familiar Namjoon.
For a Shapeshifter, his eyes sure make you feel hunted. Black slits for pupils, surrounded by a yellow iris and amber eyes.
Taehyung obediently hops after Seokjin, smiling brightly at the others.
With a satisfied chuckle, Jimin kisses Hoseok again shamelessly, smiling at him.
Whatever ritual there was next time, they'll participate.
