"African animals?! Can I become a giraffe?! A kangaroo?!"

[\|<>|/]

Hoseok smiles when he sees Namjoon and Yoongi happily together, foxes or not. He has to admit that he is kinda jealous.

It's been half a year since the incident with Yoongi, and almost a month when they both decided to come out to reveal that they're officially fulltime hybrids, not having enough experience yet to understand how they can hide their ears and tail. Until they know, their videos will contain their ears and tail,

Hoseok has opened up to the strange situation, but he is jealous.

"Hobi hyung?" Jimin asks. Hoseok shakes his head, snapping out of his thoughts. He smiles at the younger and nods. "I'm fine, just sleepy." He smiles.

He turns his head back to the fan and gives the boy a heart-shaped smile. "I'm your hope, I'm your angel!" He winks. The boy smiles and slides a box towards him. It's rather small and it clips closed with a golden lock that's covered by a ribbon.

Hoseok stares at it. He recognizes it. He expected it... He reaches into his mini bag and grabs both the blue and purple box, laying them beside the green that was given to him.

The boy gulps nervously. He seemed young. Very young. Nine or ten years old. He also is a bit darker-skinned. "What are these, and will all of us get them?" Hoseok whispers. The boy bites his lip and nods quietly. "Why?" Hoseok asks.

"Because our species are going extinct..." The boy whispers. "I don't know much else. My sister asked me to give you this. You should ask her for more information." "Than where can I find her?" Hoseok asks.

"Africa."

Hoseok's eyes widen and his mouth falls agape. "Africa?! Are you hybrids too?!" He whisper yells. The boy nods. "But... I have to stand in line for Jimin and Taehyung too so... I have to hurry before it all ends." He mumbles. "I can give it to them." Hoseok says suddenly.

The boy's eyes widen. "You... are you actually going to... transform?" Hoseok shrugs. "I might just keep it as a reminder. I know what it did to Namjoon and Yoongi hyung, I wonder what I would become." Hoseok chuckles.

The boy smiles softly. "Probably a tiger or a lion... I can't remember if my sister put my brother or my DNA in the thing..." He grins shyly. Hoseok's eyes snap open in curiosity. "Tiger? Lion?" He leans forward in interest. "African animals?! Can I become a giraffe?! A kangaroo?!"

Jimin and Taehyung both turn to him in confusion. Hoseok rubs his neck shyly and smiles. "Sorry?" "For what you need to." Jimin chuckles. "Kangaroo." "Giraffe." Taehyung giggles.

Hoseok smiles. "Give me the boxes, just tell me which one belongs to who and I'll give it to them." The boy smiles widely. "Thank you! My sister will be so happy!" He squeals. "You really are our hope, Hobi!"

Hoseok smiles when the boy silently slides two boxes towards him. "Orange stands for excitement and loyalty, beige stands for trust and purity." The boy says. Hoseok smiles and waves, having a pretty good feeling about it.

The day moves on for them, and Hoseok sits there with Yoongi. He... was lost for a bit. He had the green box in his hands, Yoongi staring at it. His ears and tail had started to turn black again, to his natural hair color.

"I don't know... I've had a crush on Namjoon and my transformation was an accident and Namjoon didn't know any better when he ate whatever it was. I... I don't want you to make a mistake, Hoseok. I'm happy with what I am, but perhaps this can turn out very differently. I don't know why this boy gave them to you, talking about her sister and their DNA. I just want you to be careful with your decision."

Hoseok nods, turning the box around to look at all sides.

"The decision is yours to make, and I don't want to convince you to anything. I just want you to be safe. But the choice is yours." Yoongi says, laying his hand on Hoseok's thigh, something Hoseok had gotten used to.

He nods. "But... what if it goes right? What if we save their species? I want to do good, I really do! But what if I end up becoming a predator, or evil, or something in that direction-"

"We will remind you of who you are. Our hope, our angel, Jung Hoseok."

Hoseok smiles. "Thank you, hyung." "It's nothing." Yoongi says softly. "Now I've got to get back to Namjoon or he'll be angry with me for leaving him sleeping alone." "Go ahead. I'll be fine." Hoseok chuckles. "I'll make my decision." Yoongi smiles at him and leaves.

Hoseok smiles. He knows what he has to do. He rushes to his dorm and grabs a pen and paper, writing a quick note before laying it between the ribbons of the two remaining boxes.

Hoseok carefully opens his own, his breath getting stuck in his throat when he sees how beautiful the golden bracelet is. His fingers graze the intertwined hoops. It smells like gold and Hoseok likes to believe that it is.

Without a single thought, he slides the enchanting item around his wrist, watching as magically the two hoops lock themselves into an unremovable position, tightening so that Hoseok can move it freely, but can't take it off.

Hoseok is too far in trans of the magical item to think about it. He grabs the two small boxes and walks to the two roommates' next doors. He doesn't listen to their questions when he sets the boxes on their desks. Each on a different one.

He turns to them with a smile before walking back to his own dorm. His eyes feel tired as he grabs the bracelet tightly and hums himself to sleep.

In his dream, he's in Africa. He's with two other animals. But they aren't hybrids. They're adult wild cats.

There is a cheetah, lazily laying down in the forest just beside the drying desert. Next to him on a tall rock lays a lion, his mane wildly springing in every way when he shakes his fur.

And when Hoseok looks down at himself, he sees orange fur with black stripes. Immediately he notices the fur like that of a tiger's. And he likes the feeling.

Taehyung and Jimin stare at the boxes. It's almost as if it calls their name. Taehyung slowly gets off his bed, taking the orange box in his hands. He shakes it carefully. It sounds like chains. Small chains.

He takes the note and puts it away. "Taehyung..." Jimin says softly. "We shouldn't..." Jimin trails off when Taehyung has already untied the ribbon and has taken the beautiful silver necklace between his fingers. His mouth falls agape at the dragon claw that holds an orb.

It's beautiful...

Jimin stares at it with enchanted eyes. He reaches out to touch it, but Taehyung quickly puts it on and growls at his friend. A sound humans aren't supposed to make.

Jimin huffs, taking his own box. He does read the note.

Jiminie, I don't know what this is, all I know is that when you put this on, you save someone's species. It's your choice.

Jimin puts the note aside with a soft smile, untying the ribbon. His smile grows wider at the beautiful diamond covered earring. It's absolutely gorgeous. Jimin can't resist the begging aura and takes one of his earrings out to replace it with that one.

Jimin feels the clip from the earring disappear until it makes a ring to the actual piece itself, locking it in his ear. But he doesn't care.

Taehyung can feel the clip of the necklace disappear and melt into one solid piece, long enough for Taehyung not to get it over his head and still be at an acceptable length.

Taehyung looks at Jimin, and what he sees makes him grin. Jimin's iris color begins to get lighter. The melanin in his eyes seems to pull itself away as it slowly begins to change into an amber yellow, his pupils becoming slightly smaller so that the iris was taking up most of his eyes.

Jimin feels a rush of energy wash over him when he sees Taehyung's eyes fade into a goldish yellow, his pupils becoming so small that they almost seem like dots, but still balance the eye.

Taehyung feels the need to growl. The need to... play.

Hoseok is the first thing he thinks of, and before he knows it he's standing in his room, Jimin beside him as they watch their hyung sleep peacefully.

The two share a few glances at each other, before they both crawl onto Hoseok's bed and curl up with him.

"Is it just me or does it feel more comfortable when Hoseok's with us...?" Jimin asks softly. Taehyung shakes his head. "It feels more comfortable. Trusty. Better." He replies, before inhaling Hoseok's sharp scent and falling asleep.

Namjoon can't help but growl. Something just doesn't feel right. "It smells fishy." He growls lowly. Yoongi looks up at him. "Yeah, Jin's making sushi-" "Not that kind." Namjoon growls annoyed. It makes Yoongi flinch and pull back from their comfortable position. Namjoon grabs him and pulls him back. "Smell. It smells like... Like cats."

Yoongi frowns and sniffs, his eyes widening when he picks up on a very wild scent- no, two- no. Three wild scents. "See?" Namjoon mumbles. "Hoseok..." Yoongi smiles. "It's Hoseok."

Namjoon raises an eyebrow. "Care to explain?" Yoongi smiles. "Hoseok got a box like ours too. He asked me about it just before I got back. I guess he made his choice." Namjoon pouted. "You left me alone?" He asks softly. "Of course not. Hoseok just needed some advice." Yoongi says softly. "I'll always be yours."

Hoseok lets a low growl erupt from his throat when he wakes up with a painful whine. He feels weird. He looks at the bracelet. It's still locked around his wrist.

He sniffs when he sees the two sleeping males beside him, and hiding in their hair, are two different pairs of ears.

Taehyung's were a bit more furry, cute and round but still showing off some kind of dominance in the way that his hair seemed like it had become more fluffy to stand up.

The shape of Jimin's ears could be closely compared to Taehyung's. His were covered in a thin layer of fur, the black strokes and spots matching his fading blonde hair.

Hoseok pushed the blanket off them, smiling at the cute tails that calmly rested on the mattress. Then he looked at his own.

It was quietly swaying back and forth, the thin orange and black striped fur ended in a black tip. His fierce orange hair matched his ears, that faded into black tips as well.

Slowly, Hoseok just... slid back down onto the mattress, yawning of his lack of sleep. He lays there exactly like a tiger would. Head high, his eyes roaming over what he should protect, the tip of his tail lazily swaying back and forth. His arms are half stretched out in front, his legs crossed over each other to the side, leaning on his hip.

He looks into the mirror and smiles. His ears twitch when he hears Taehyung groan. He moves his position to lay on his back, hands almost cupping his own face and his legs pulled up.

Taehyung's tail hits Jimin's. It was a small touch, but enough for Jimin to open his eyes and growl at whoever touched him. His ears flattened against his head, loud growls spitting at Taehyung, who growled back playfully.

Hoseok smiled widely. "Moooorning!" He giggles. Taehyung blinks at him, his ears flatten and his eyes widen. "Hyung?! What happened?!" He yells. "You too!" Jimin shrieks. Taehyung sniffs quietly and looks down at himself. The blood pulls away from his face when he sees his very own lion's tail.

"Y-you too!" Taehyung yells back. Jimin widens his eyes and practically jumps on top of Hoseok, pushing him down so he can look at himself. Once he does, he almost faints.

"How are you so calm about this?!" Taehyung yells at Hoseok, who merely smiles. "I helped someone's species. It's all I wanted to do." "And we suffer from it too!" Jimin growls. "I feel like running a marathon and that's not healthy."

Taehyung nods. "I really want to go outside and play." "You're a male lion." Jimin chuckles. "I'm still young! I can be a cub!" Taehyung growls lowly. "But watch out with your next words, Chim. I won't hesitate to skin you." He growls.

Jimin scoffs. "As if! I'll be too fast for you."

"We'll see."

"I guess we will."

Hoseok chuckles. "The option was yours to take or leave. You didn't have to do it." "But this thing is just so beautiful..." Jimin mumbles. Taehyung nods in agreement. "So? Can't you take it off now and turn back to normal?"

Jimin starts feeling around the earring for an opening before sadly shaking his head. Taehyung tries to pull the necklace over his head hut doesn't come further than his chin.

"We're stuck this way." Jimin sighs. "So? It can be fun!" Hoseok giggles. "Fun?" Taehyung growls. "I'm not one for fun right now, Hoseok." He snarls, throwing his head back and shaking it around until his hair stands up in every direction. "I'll be waiting for you to fix this. Yoongi and Namjoon were bad enough."

Jimin raised an eyebrow. "I thought you were okay with them that way?" Taehyung scoffs. "Are you fucking with me? Earth belongs to humans, not hybrids. I can act, but I really don't give a shit if they die or not this way."

Hoseok growls deeply. "Take it back. You don't fucking mean that." "I fucking do." Taehyung growls. Jimin grabs Taehyung's collar, his ears pressed entirely against his scalp and his eyes are spitting fire, their amber color almost scaring the lion hybrid a little. He's never seen Jimin this angry...

But... they had a deal... right?

Bros before hoes...

Why was he defending them and not him?

"Listen up, you little piece of shit." Jimin growls. His voice is low and deep, it sends shivers down the hybrid's spine. "Those hybrids you talk about are our friends and bandages. Our family. And if you didn't take a fucking good long look in the mirror,"

Jimin grabs Taehyung's jaw tightly and forced him to look at himself. "Than you don't deserve to be part of this." Jimin growls. Taehyung's bottom lip quivers and his ears are droopily hanging, his body is slumped weakly and his voice cracks as he managed to bring broken words to the two in the room.

"I-I'm s-orry..." He whimpers. "I p-panicked... I-I swear I d-didn't mean it." He sobs. Hoseok caringly gives the younger a hug. "Don't cry TaeTae."

Jimin growls lowly. "I'm going out for a run. See you in a few hours." He mumbles, stepping out of the bed and taking his jacket and boots.

"Jimin hyung?"

Jimin looks back to meet a wide-eyed Jungkook. "Y-you t-" "Yes. Me too Kook. Ignore it." Jimin growls. "I'm going out." Jungkook stands there, flustered, confused. He returns to his dorm and decides to crawl into Seokjin's arms.

"Everything okay?" The elder asks tiredly. Jungkook shakes his head. "Jimin hyung has cheetah ears and a fucking tail, hyung." "You must be dreaming." Seokjin mumbles. "The only ones who got those boxes are Namjoon and Yoongi."

The two share a glance. "Unless..." Seokjin says softly. Jungkook nods. "Unless at the last meeting someone gave them a box or an item or some food." "But... wouldn't we have noticed? You sat next to Jimin, you would have seen the thing." Seokjin says with a sigh.

Jungkook shakes his head. "The mission of hybrids is still an ongoing mystery."

Jimin pants. His legs seem to carry his almost lighter weight when he passes humans, running faster than a normal person should be.

His ears twitch and he abruptly stops when he hears chirping near him. His instinct pushes over him when he quietly sneaks towards the sound. His eyes glinster with energy when he sees the bird.

As quickly as he can he runs and jumps up on the tree, pulling himself up by the branches and manages to catch the bird in his mouth, trapped between his teeth.

Jimin growls when he feels the bird struggle and bites down on it, hearing the delicate bones crush. He grins and smiles, hopping back to the dorms happily.

Once he gets inside, the first thing he sees is Hoseok, who lays lazily on the couch with a smile.

"Hobi hyung!" Jimin says, his voice muffled by the dead bird. "I caught a bird! I caught a bird!" He yells, spitting it out on the floor and smiling as if it was an award. Hoseok stares at it with wide eyes and smiles. "Why didn't you invite me! I wanna catch birds too!"

Jimin giggles. "You can come next time." "You rather than me." Taehyung's deep voice growls. He lazily leans back in the chair he sits in, eying Jimin up and down. "You're sweaty. Go shower."

Something about the sudden tone makes Jimin shiver. He scoffs and ignores the way Taehyung's voice commands him. "Whatever. It's not like you can smell it." "I very much can." Taehyung says lowly, crossing his legs. "Go shower. Use the leaf soap. Or at least the one that smells like it. I like that one."

Jimin rolls his eyes. "It has no name. It's the scent that's appealing." "Exactly." Taehyung purrs. "Go." Hoseok tilts his head at him.

"What happened with the tough act?" He asks when Jimin leaves. "I don't feel like doing that. He should be doing stuff for me." Taehyung growls lowly. Hoseok chuckles. "How fun to see you take your lion so seriously." "I'm not. In fact, we get along just fine. He gets me and I get him." Taehyung replies. "I guess your tiger isn't fully part of you yet."

Hoseok frowns. "I do feel a bit of a disconnection..." "Than relax." Taehyung says with a chuckle. Hoseok gulps when he stands up and walks towards him, running his fingers through Hoseok's hair.

Taehyung's thumb and pink push Hoseok's ears down slightly, making the elder hybrid whimper of he foreign feeling. Taehyung's hands flow through his hand and cups his jaw, going back up to play with his hair and ears.

Hoseok sighs of satisfaction and purrs, leaning into Taehyung's touch. Taehyung purrs lowly, gently tilting Hoseok's head back to see his tail calmly swaying back and forth. It's not at all hyper like he used to be.

Taehyung finds the look in Hoseok's eyes attractive. It's luring and inviting. He slowly tilts his head, the urge to lick him is just unbearable. Hoseok's tongue pokes out between his lips nervously when Taehyung leans in and connects their lips.

Hoseok lets out a surprised squeal, when Taehyung's tongue pushes through his lips. He feels a heat rush over his body, the disconnection fading away at the contact. Hoseok closes his eyes and pushes back, quietly thanking him by grazing his tongue against Taehyung's.

The two pull apart. Taehyung's ears are perked up, but his expression remains the same. He smiles. "Feeling better?" He asks. Hoseok nods slowly. "Thank you." "It's nothing, my tiger." Tadhyung purrs. "I can feel the connection between you and him."

Hoseok growls lowly, his ear twitching when he hears the door click open behind him. He turns his head, eying Yoongi up and down once the fox hybrid comes in.

"Hoseok, are you okay?" Yoongi asks concernedly. Hoseok nods. "Taehyung helped me..." Yoongi smiles. "I'm glad to hear that." He says and sits. Taehyung growls selfishly at him. "Who do you think you are to sit next to him." He growls. Yoongi tilts his head. "Am I not allowed-" "No." Taehyung snaps. "Hoseok. Either you come here or I come to you."

Hoseok blinks a few times. "Why?" "Because I helped you connect. It means you're mine." Taehyung growls lowly. "In fact, you kissed back when I kissed you. Don't think so bad about it." Hoseok gulps and nods, hesitantly skipping over to Taehyung's side.

Yoongi chuckles. "You're a lion, it's only natural to take what you admire or like." Taehyung nods and growls. "That means Hoseok and Jimin belong to me." "I wouldn't expect differently." Yoongi sighs.

"Listen, Taehyung, Jimin... He was really pissed." Yoongi says softly. Taehyung raises an eyebrow. "He was fine just then." "Because he's a cheetah. They're born runners. He killed a bird with his teeth!" Yoongi exclaims, grabbing the yellow bloodied bird with Jimin's bite marks in them.

"He hides it because it's instinctive. He doesn't want to disappoint anyone. He's afraid to tell the truth."

Taehyung tilts his head. "Why?" "It's his nature." Yoongi replies. "Just like it's mine to be loyal to my partner, even in heat or through wounded times, Jimin won't be easily telling that. Just like Hoseok, it's his nature to be protective over others, to make sure that they're okay. It's in Jimin's nature to run and hunt. He doesn't care about himself. He just wants his mate to be safe, but mateless... He doesn't care at all."

Taehyung tilts his head. "So I should become his mate?" "If you love him." "I do feel attraction to him, but I also do towards Hoseok." Yoongi smiles. "Do you know how a lion has multiple felines with him?" Taehyung nods. "Am I allowed to have multiple mates?" He asks.

Hoseok growls lowly. "I wouldn't appreciate you cheating on me." "And not even if it's for Jimin?" Taehyung asks. Hoseok stays quiet. He looks down and sighs. "Perhaps... it's worth a try."

Yoongi smiles. "Now, kiss!" He squeals.  Taehyung raises his eyebrow and chuckles. "Do you want to?" He asks. Hoseok looks at him. "We already kissed." "But not... passionately. Lovingly." Taehyung says lowly.

Hoseok gulps and nods. "I want it with Jimin." Yoongi smiles. "Take the time." Hoseok nods. "I will. Now... Do you think Jimin's done with his shower?"

Taehyung sniffs, sighing deeply with a smile. "He used the shampoo I like..." "Go on." Yoongi says softly. "He needs your love."

Jimin abruptly looks up when the door opens and Hoseok's head peeks through with a smile. "Hey Jiminie..." "Do you think Taehyung's mad at me?" Jimin asks immediately.

"Why would you think that?" Taehyung asks, slipping in after him. Jimin gulps. "For... killing the bird? And yelling at you?" Taehyung chuckles and caresses Jimin's ears, stroking his hair. Jimin looks up at him, his ears perked up at the sudden contact. "T-Tae..."

"I'm not mad at you. Not at all. I think it's cute, the way you show me who I am." Taehyung says softly. "I want to mate with you. With you and Hoseok." "But... isn't that cheating?" Jimin asks softly, his ears tilting back as he pouts.

Hoseok smiles. "He loves us both, Jiminie." "I want to be with you both." Taehyung confirms. "I will accept your behavior, but when you hunt for animals, you tell me, and you take Hoseok if he wants to. I don't want my baby cheetah going around on his own." He purrs.

Jimin smiles widely, his heart raising. "Than... can I be Hoseok's mate too?" Taehyung nods. "We'll all be each other's mate." With those words, Jimin happily sets his lips to rest against Taehyung's, letting their bond intertwine through their souls. Their hearts grow, yearning for each other as the time strives forward, laying in each other's arms to enjoy who they are and what they've become, accepting their lives together as one soul.

The boy from the convention runs towards his older sister with a smile. "They took it! They took it!" He squeals. "I know." The girl growls, her very own jackal ears and tail unamusingly swaying out of boredom.

"Hoseok now knows and the box will probably fall in suspicion. We have to get rid of the box and give the cologne right to the remaining members."
