🎷Don't leave me🎷
Seokjin's POV
"NO! Please don't leave me alone... Don't leave me hyung! You promised! You promised to stay with me! Please, Jin hyung... Please wake up..."
Those were the last words that I remember. The last words before my life slipped away before my eyes. The last tears I saw rolling off his cheeks, as he tried to stop the heavy wound from bleeding.
As one of the different kind, there was no escaping this fate. I was destined to die as a human. That was this war, that I could not see through. A brother is only a brother, if it is a trustworthy friend.
So let me tell you how it all began. The story of how the vampire Kim Taehyung and I got to know each other. Until the bitter end..

"Seokjin hyung." I looked up from my book and smiled. "Hey, Namjoon. Is there something I can help you with?" I asked laying my book down on my bed. Namjoon shook his head. "I just want to show you something."
I smiled and swung my legs over the edge of my bed, standing up to join Namjoon. As my younger brother, he is the most precious thing to ever happen to me. I wouldn't dare to let anything happen to him.
Namjoon leaned over the edge of the fence on the balcony. "Look. He doesn't look like us." He said pointing at a darkly dressed man. The man wore a fire red colored cloak with a hood to hide his identity. That was enough for me. I nodded and smiled. "Thank you Namjoon. I'm going to talk to him, see what he wants."
Namjoon smiled at me, showing his lovely dimples. "Be careful hyung." I nodded and returned a smile. He was so precious.
I quickly ran outside, trying to come over as calm as possible. Namjoon was young, he had no idea about the conflict between us and the three kingdoms. Or mostly, the vampires and the two kingdoms.
I looked around trying to find the man in the dark cloak. I mean, black colors between our white and brown clothes shouldn't be hard to find... right? Well, it was.
I asked around, hoping for a clue. I was about to give up when finally someone saw him. I looked up with a bit of hope. "I did see a man dressed in black and red. Perhaps he is the guy you are looking for?" The citizen pointed at the dark clothed man that I was looking for. I sighed of relief and thanked him, running towards the darkly dressed man.
I tapped the man his shoulder, but he didn't turn around to me. "Excuse me, may I ask you something?" I asked moving in front of him instead. The dark clothing he wore hid his face, but I had a glimpse of his face-paint.
The blood-red lines along his cheeks, from the corner of his lips, and one line in the middle under his bottom lip to his chin, leading down onto his chest.
I knew those lines. I took a deep breath, still not getting a reaction from him. "Take off your hood." I commanded. The man chuckled lowly. He didn't pull his hood off, but moved it ever so slightly, so I could see his face.
I widened my eyes and frowned. "What are you doing here Taehyung?" I asked coldly. Vampires like him weren't welcome in our town, in our kingdom. Taehyung sighed and smirked. "Our dearly loved Kim Seokjin. How... pleasant to meet you again. It's been a few years since we last and first saw each other." "What do you want Taehyung?" I asked again. If he wanted business or something in that direction, I'd rather get straight to the point.
Taehyung clicked his tongue and grinned. "Nothing in particular. Father wanted to know when you were going to be stepping up the throne." He said lowly. I frowned. "It is not going to be in a few months. Tell your father that you and your kingdom are not welcome in ours." I said with a sigh. This was the sixth time. But sometimes his brothers or his sisters infiltrated our kingdom.
"But Seokjin, how else am I going to have to take over the three kingdoms. After all." He chuckled. "We are both upcoming kings." I frowned. "But I care for my people. If I step upon the throne, I will make sure you and your clan will never be able to infiltrate again. This war is not over."
Taehyung pouted mockingly. "How sad." He said smirking. "Tell you what. If you show me where your biggest weak point is, I'll leave you alone." I couldn't help but crack a laugh. "I'm not falling for that Taehyung." Taehyung frowned and pouted childishly. "Bummer. Could've tried at least." He said laughing. I shrugged. "Always worth a try."
Taehyung sighed deeply. "I guess I'll be going. I got what I needed so... See you later?" He asked. "What did you get?" I asked, now frowning of his suspicious acting. "Oh, just some blood from your clan. We almost ran out so, needed something." He laughed.
"If you need blood just come to me. Don't hurt my people for it. Plus, if it kills me, Namjoon will be able to step up on the throne like he always wanted to." I exclaimed, crossing my arms. Taehyung tilted his head and took off his hood fully.
"You are offering yourself as a victim just so I can feed my clan and you can do your brother and your people a favor?" He scoffed. "I guess we aren't so different after all." I smiled softly. "Perhaps. Now leave. Your father knows this castle out the back of his head. He'll tell you where to go." I said quickly.
Taehyung nodded and pulled his hood back on. "Thanks Jin- oh, Seokjin. My apologies." He chuckled. "I'll see you soon enough." "Have a nice day." I said with a sigh. I took a deep breath, watching Taehyung sprint away from our kingdom.
I walked back to my room, realizing what I just did. I frowned. "It's for our people. It's for our people..." I gestured the messengers-owl to come to me. This is how we'd communicate with other kingdoms. We all have our own kind, so we know what kingdom is calling.
Ours was a snow owl. Simple, yet elegant and polite.
The one from the vampire kingdom was a small dragon, to represent their power and ambition.
And lastly, the one from the dream kingdom was a butterfly, representing their beauty and loyalty.
I smiled. "Send this message to Kim Taehyung." The owl gave a soft nod. "I decided to change our location. In the castle may be suspicious and we can get caught easily. Let's meet near the Xiu Ren Cherry Blossom Island. Let me know if you agree." I finished the message and sent the owl on its way. I hope that his brothers and sisters are not with him... perhaps I should have thought about that before I did this...

I laughed, chasing my younger brothers and sisters. Ten in total. "Come back here Jungkook!" I yelled chasing him. Jungkook laughed and kept running away from me.
We all looked up when suddenly the snow owl of the human kingdom flew in, landing on the chair. I frowned. What would a snow owl be doing here? I widened my eyes, recognizing the voice that spoke through the owl.
"Kim Taehyung, I decided to change our location. In the castle may be suspicious and we can get caught easily. Let's meet near the Xiu Ren Cherry Blossom Island. Let me know if you agree."
I gulped nervously. Everyone had heard. I silently glanced at my siblings, who had tilted their heads and frowned at me. "Taehyung oppa. What are you hiding?" Lisa asked. I sighed and bit my lip. "Nothing. I just had an encounter with him and he wanted a talk." I replied, as monotone as possible.
Jimin frowned. "Are you sure?" "Yes. I'm sure." I spat. I groaned. "I'll be in my room. Don't bother me." I hissed and left the room. I slammed the door shut. "Why did that idiot think it was a good idea to send a bird?! He could have waited!"
I sighed and just decided to reply. "Kim Seokjin. You're an idiot, you know that. I like the fact that you take a risk. Perhaps you have something I see in you, but that is beside the point. You send your owl in the middle of everyone, they got suspicious. I managed to lure hem off by my short temper, but you have to think before doing something like that. And I have no idea where that Cherry Blossom Island is. We'll meet in your room, if I'm there you'll show me that Island. I'll see you in a few minutes."
I send the dragon on his way and let myself fall on the bed. Thinking back to when Seokjin and I met. His blood was tempting. But every royal's blood is. His stood out. Maybe it was because we are both follow-ups on the throne. I don't know. I took one deep breath and left on my way to that idiot.

I sighed. Of course he wouldn't know. It's a secret place. I shouldn't expect a vampire to know it. I sighed and squealed when Taehyung suddenly appeared in front of me. Out of shock I dropped my book.
Taehyung cocked up his eyebrow at me and picked it back up. "Why are you reading at a time like this?" He asked coldly. I took a deep breath to calm myself down a bit. "It helps me focus." I replied sitting up straight. "Where is that Island?" He asked, getting straight to the point.
"Follow me, but do not let yourself see. If it helps wear some of my clothes. We don't wear red and black." I said opening my closet. Taehyung just gave a simple nod. "Here. Let me know when you're done." I handed him the clothes. Taehyung bowed slightly and I left my room.
I made sure nothing would seem suspicious. I was taking a huge risk after all. I heard a soft knock from the inside, so I went back in. I covered my eyes when I was face to face with a shirtless Taehyung. "We have easier shirts. How the Hell do you do this every day?!" He whisper-yelled. "It's a normal shirt." I sighed. "It's a royal shirt, idiot. We don't have such things here! We were shirts like that!" He snapped, pointing at his own.
I looked at the shirt from his clan. "And we don't have shirts like that." I said tilting my head. "Just help me with this, I'll bite you if I get out of this Hell." "Please don't." I replied with a chuckle. I helped him with the shirt. I still can't believe he can't do this.
He mumbled a thanks and rushed his hand through his hair annoyed. "What about my eyes?" He asked lowly. I hissed slightly and sighed. I didn't really think about that... "Contacts?" He asked. "We don't have them. If we did I would have given you them." I replied. Taehyung sighed and bit his bottom lip. "What if I pretend to be blind?" He asked suddenly. "Could work... Let's try." I smiled. "It's always worth a try. I remember you say." Taehyung chuckled.
I smiled. "So you do listen." "Of course I listen. What do you see me for?" He laughed. "But I don't have much time." He said suddenly, his voice serious from the cold tone. "They'll get suspicious." I nodded understanding. "Follow me."
Taehyung grabbed my shoulder and closed his eyes. "I can't see remember?" I nodded. "Of course. Hold onto me. I'll stay with you, promise." I laughed. Taehyung hissed lowly. "I'll seriously bite you."
I was nervous. Really nervous. Taehyung grabbed onto me for what seemed like dear life. Passing a few guards, and a few of my people. Thank the Lord, Namjoon was busy with my parents. We managed to walk out of town.
Taehyung had hissed a few times. "You can open your eyes now. We're... you're safe." I corrected myself. "Finally!" Taehyung yelled and sighed deeply. "Your family smells a lot better than you think you do."
I chuckled. "Glad you didn't kill our whole town." "I'm not." Taehyung whined childishly. I cracked a smile. He was pretty cute if you looked past the whole 'I'm going to kill you' act. Taehyung looked around. "Why is it all snowy?" He asked confused.
"Snow is always falling peacefully, said my father. He claimed this Island for us. If we were mad or bothered, we went here to ease it." I explained, smiling at my memories. "It looks peaceful." Taehyung said lowly. "It is. This is the Xiu Ren Cherry Blossom Island." I said smiling.
Taehyung sighed. "I wish I could be here more. It's different from home..." I smiled. "Maybe you can." "No. I can't. We're still at war. We aren't even supposed to be here." He said coldly. "He's right." Both Taehyung and I turned around, only for both of us to gasp. "Jimin! What are you doing here?!" Taehyung asked yelling. "I followed you. And Seokjin should not be leading you. You're distracted from our mission and our goal." He spat.
Jimin smirked and ran towards Taehyung. I widened my eyes, seeing the sharp sword behind his back. "No!" I yelled, and ran in front of Taehyung. Everything seemed to go in slow motion. The sword penetrating my chest, Taehyung breaking down, and Jimin smirking.
Taehyung kneeled down and pulled the sword from my chest. I coughed feeling my blood leave my body. Taehyung tried to stop the heavy bleeding. "Tae... Don't. I died protecting someone I care about. Now, everyone can be happy." I coughed.
Taehyung broke down in tears. "I won't be happy! I will be traumatized and broken for the rest of my life! Don't you dare leave me hyung!" He yelled. Jimin smirked and disappeared, leaving me with Taehyung alone. I felt my sight slipping away.
So... this was death. I smiled, closing my eyes. "It was nice seeing your soft side Tae..." I managed to breathe out before my energy left my body, and I felt the darkness take me away.

"NO! Please don't leave me alone... Don't leave me hyung! You promised! You promised to stay with me! Please, Jin hyung... Please wake up..." I cried out. He was nice to me. He cared for me! I screamed loudly, tears rolling down my eyes. "Hyung. Don't leave me..."
I widened my eyes as his chest stopped moving, his heart stopped. He... died...
I broke down. Like, actually broke down. He was the only one nice to me in all those years I had lived. I couldn't let him die. I know he told me not to bite, but I can't let the only one who cared about me slip away.
I sunk my fangs into his neck without hesitation. He was not going to die! He wasn't, he couldn't! I panted, pulling my fangs from his skin after every last drop was gone. I looked at his wounds, which had stopped bleeding since there was no blood left to ooze out. I bit my wrist roughly and quickly connected it with his lips, forcing his mouth open.
I watched the wound heal on its own, slowly but surely. I gasped and smiled of relief, my breathing hitching of happiness when I felt Seokjin lick against my wound.
"Seokjin! Thank the Lord you're alive!" I yelled happily. Seokjin hissed softly. I could feel his fangs grow against my wrist, he bit into my wrist roughly and sat up to have more support. I couldn't get that smile off my face. He was alive.
Seokjin slowly opened his eyes, panting as he pulled his fangs from my wrist. His blood-red iris shining through the white snow around us, that had turned red from Seokjin's blood. He let himself fall backwards on the snow again. He looked at me and smiled weakly.
"Tae... why?" He asked. "I couldn't let you die by my own brother. You are the only one who cared about me." I said, looking down. "Your siblings, your parents?" He asked, carefully sitting back up again, rubbing the back of his neck.
I shook my head. "As the oldest of my siblings, I have too many expectations. My parents expect me to lead a war, they expect me to be strong and tough. I never wanted to be a leader. I want to be the younger sibling. The free one." I said sighing.
Seokjin pulled me towards him and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry. I know how it feels." He said lowly. "I know you do." I wrapped my arms around him.
We stayed like this for a while. Hugging. Seokjin broke the hug after a few minutes. "Take me home. Your home." I nodded. "Gladly."
I took Seokjin back home with me, immediately receiving stares from everyone in the room. "What?" I hissed. Seokjin smiled and shut my mouth, placing his finger on my lips. "Shh. They aren't worth your commentary."
I nodded slowly. My eyes landed on Jimin, who frowned angrily. I hissed lowly. Seokjin held my shoulders tightly, preventing me from killing him. Jimin smirked. "Well, well. He lived." He chuckled.
Seokjin shook his head. "No, I died." He said smiling. "Then..." Jimin looked at me and smirked. "You turned him." "Of course I did!" I yelled. "No one in this house treats me like a normal family member! Seokjin has met me twice. TWICE! He treated me like a friend!"
Seokjin quickly hugged me again to ease my anger. "If you'll excuse us." He said quietly, and pulled me away. "Your room?" He asked, not looking back at the gazes of my siblings. I nudged my head in the direction. Seokjin smiled and took me there.
"Don't confront any conflict. Embrace it, and live it." Seokjin said smiling. "I won't be able to look at him without feeling that urge to kill him anymore. He killed you, he should die for that.." I hissed.
Seokjin hugged my back. "When did you become so touchy?" I asked lowly. "Since I should thank you. You told me your story, you gave me a new life. Thank you." He leaned his head in the crook of my neck. "Can I?" He asked lowly, brushing his fangs against my neck.
I sighed deeply. This was normal, at least for vampires. Except that no one ever asked me. I tilted my head. "Go ahead." I felt Seokjin bite into my neck. I gasped silently. So that's what it feels like... Seokjin quickly pulled his fangs from my neck. "Are you okay?"
I nodded. "It feels... comfortable. Pleasant." Seokjin looked at the wound in my neck. "Do you want me to continue?" He asked quietly. I nodded again. Seokjin smiled and sunk his fangs into my skin again. Without meaning to, I let a low hiss escape my lips.
Seokjin carefully pulled his fangs from my skin again and looked at me. He turned me around to him and smiled. Blood dripped from the corner of his lips down to his chin, but it didn't seem to bother him. "Don't let your family destroy you. You're beautiful the way you are. And I fall for that."
I widened my eyes as Seokjin connected our lips gently. He... kissed me. I smiled slightly and returned the kiss to him.
"Kim Taehyung!" Seokjin and I both looked up. Him more with shock than me. "Father." "What is the meaning of this?!" Seokjin gulped nervously, hearing my father his angry voice roar through the room.
I bravely looked up at him. "Why should you punish me? Jimin was the one who killed my friend." "And he should have died." My father spat angrily. Seokjin frowned. "My apologies for acting this rude, but Jimin was not planning to kill me. He followed Taehyung, he planned to kill Taehyung." He said coldly.
"He wanted to kill the upcoming king. Isn't that a reason to punish him. I took the hit because Taehyung felt like a brother to me, I... looked up to him." He said bravely.
My father looked at him with disgust. "And how exactly did you look up to him?" Seokjin looked at me. "He is powerful and strong, but he shows that he cares. Maybe not in his voice or the way he stands, but his eyes show everything. When I met him, I thought he was cute. Now that we're older, I think he's handsome. I want to stay with him. Either in war, or as a brother."
My father frowned. "You want to walk over to our side?" Seokjin nodded. "I want to stay with Taehyung."
I looked up at him. Did he mean it? Seokjin smiled. "I care for him. Maybe you should too. You rely on him too much." He said lowly. My father sighed. "Very well. I guess he could use a... friend..."
My father bowed to us slightly and closed the door behind him. Seokjin turned around to me and immediately placed his lips back on mine, cupping my jaw. "Or perhaps a boyfriend..." I smiled. "I need neither. I need you, Kim Seokjin. I need you."
The End
