📚Grown towards you📚
Yoongi's POV
I hesitantly walked inside the office, already being greeted by a man in a doctor's robe. I don't get why Hoseok forced me here. I'm a grown-up.
I sighed and sat down in the scarlet red chair, leaning my head on my fist. "Min Yoongi?" The man asked. I simply nodded. "Great. I'm Kim Seokjin, but call me Jin. I heard your friend Hoseok signed you up for the trial."
"Yep." I said coldly. "Why is that?" He asked. "Because I see things who aren't there." I replied. Jin raised an eyebrow. "Who aren't there?" "Who." I confirmed.
Jin nodded, licking his plump lips slightly. "Very well. Tell me about what you see, Yoongi." I shrugged. "I see vampires, demons, werewolves. Basically all that doesn't exist. Hoseok finds it weird but he gets these weird pointy ears too, so I don't know the deal."
"Do you see anything with me?" Jin asked. I nodded. "Yeah." Jin blinked, waiting for me to continue. When I didn't he just talked. "What do you see with me?" He asked. "Fangs and red eyes. That's all." I answered.
Jin bit his lip. "How many people that you know have you seen these things with?" "Almost every single one." I replied. "Is Hoseok here?" Jin asked quickly. I nodded.
Jin stood up and walked to the waiting room, picking Hoseok out of it. With a concerned frown, Hoseok followed him inside.
"What do you mean: he knows what I am?" He yelled. "Exactly what it means Hoseok. He knows what you are." Jin replied calmly. He shut the door and sat back down, Hoseok taking place next to me.
Jin sighed deeply. "So, Yoongi, what do you see when you look at Hoseok?" Jin asked, his eyes on Hoseok at all times. I hesitantly turned my head to look at him. "Pointy ears, almost as much of a pale skin as me, piercings that I didn't even know existed, blue eyes--"
"I get it!" Hoseok yelled, biting on his nails. "Is it... ironic or convenient? Or is it an accident? Is it purposely given?" He asked panicking. Jin shrugged. "I don't know. It's rare for you to have a friend like this Hoseok. You should protect him as much as you can, definitely now that he is coming to an age of 25."
Hoseok nodded. "I know. But this stubborn boy here won't let me!" He yelled annoyed. "Because I already have one mom, I don't need a second." I scoffed. Jin chuckled. "Trust me Yoongi. Let Hoseok protect you. When you're 25 your life will spiral downwards like a staircase."
I scoffed. "Right." I stood up. "It was nice to be here with this confusing visit. Now I have to go back to work." I said lowly. "You don't have a job." Hoseok pouted. "Exactly." I smiled.
Hoseok fiddled with his fingers on the way home, constantly looking down at his feet. "Yoongi hyung... Will you let me protect you?" He asked softly. I turned to him with confusion. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"What Jin hyung said. Will you let me protect you?" Hoseok asked. I chuckled. "Sure, whatever." Hoseok smiled his heart-shaped-smile and hugged me tightly. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He squealed.
"Okay! Let go! You're killing me!" I yelped. Hoseok quickly let go. "Sorry..."
--After a drunk 25th birthday--
I walked along the street. Maybe Hoseok was right to bring me to Jin. I was seeing so many more of these weird creatures around, and they all stared at me. Creepy...
Hoseok wasn't going to let me go out alone after last night. Those ears and eyes that I sometimes saw, were out all the time. It was as if there was an illusion for humans that I could see through.
Just like today, he walked beside me, sending deadly glares to anyone who tried to get close to me that looked suspicious to him. It was embarrassing honestly.
"Come on hyung! It's dangerous there!" Hoseok yelled. "No! Hobi, I appreciate you trying to protect me, but this has gone too far!" I snapped. "I'm going out to drink tonight, and I'm going alone. I don't need a babysitter." I spat.
Hoseok crawled back slightly at my aggressive tone. "... But Jin's advice-" "Jin has said a lot of things last week. I don't know if you are even human now, so tomorrow I'll go back to him. Again. Alone." I spat. Hoseok looked down. "Yes hyung..."
I gave him a simple nod, grabbing my wallet and my jacket, and going towards the bar. Hoseok needs to learn to give me some space.
I felt a little uncomfortable without him though. The stares became worse and some people even tried to talk to me for no reason.
No. Tonight I'm drinking, and I'm going to have fun.
I widened my eyes slightly. Turns out at least 90% of the people here are not human... I ignored it and sat down, sighing of frustration. "Yoongi? It's been a while." The bartender smiled. "Hello Namjoon." I greeted tiredly. "What's wrong? You look like you've just seen a ghost." Namjoon asked.
I hummed and nodded. "Because Hoseok send me to a psychiatrist for some things that I'm seeing. Instead of a prescription, he gave me a warning for after yesterday. Ever since then Hoseok won't give me any personal space." I complained.
Namjoon nodded understandingly. "Do you want to talk to Jimin? He's free now so, maybe smoke a little with him?" Namjoon asked. I nodded. "Give me a bottle of Soju and I'll be out of your fangs- hair. I mean hair. Jeez." I rubbed my temples at my mistake.
Namjoon gulped and nodded, flicking a bottle of Soju open and handing it to me. "Go easy on Chim, okay?" He chuckled. "I'll see you later Joon." "See you hyung." Namjoon waved me goodbye as I flicked the key in the lock from my many keys.
"Jimin?" I asked. "Hm?" A muffled groan replied. "Since when do you have the back door key?" Jimin asked gruffly. "Since a few days." I answered. "What's up?" Jimin asked, immediately handing me a cigarette from his pack.
I shrugged and lit it, sighing of annoyance when I saw those weird colored eyes. "Two words. Hoseok's Instinct." Jimin chuckled amused. "The idiot dragged you somewhere?" I nodded. "A psychiatrist. Turns out I see things that aren't supposed to be there."
Jimin raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Tell me about it." I chuckled. "I see things Jimin. I'm going insane. I see fangs like vampires, pointy ears like elves, canines like wolves and all are staring at me like I'm a meal." I whined.
Jimin tilted his head. "Really?" He paused to puff a cloud of smoke and chuckled. "You're not seeing things Yoongi. These things you're seeing, they exist." I frowned. "Right."
"I'm serious Yoongi." Jimin growled. "There are barely a few humans who can see us, and they are attractive as hell. They look like meals to us." He growled. I gulped. "I don't know what to believe."
Jimin laughed softly. "Ask Hoseok. He can't lie. Why do you think he always escapes the question?" Jimin chuckled. I shrugged. "I'm going back to Jin tomorrow. He was the one warning me so perhaps he will know what to do."
"Jin? As in psychiatrist Jin? Kim Seokjin?" Jimin asked, his voice alerted. I nodded. "Kill him." Jimin growled. "What?!" "He is bad news hyung." Jimin warned. "He is one of the most dangerous people. He has knowledge like no one else and a thirst like no one else. If he didn't attack now, then he will sooner or later."
I scoffed. "Right. It's just a handsome tall man with plump lips, fangs and red eyes. Like, as if he is a vampire." I laughed. "He is. And you better find out soon. At the building, instead of going to the elevator, go to the basement. Take the stairs from the left and go down until you can't. There will be a red room with an elevator with a metal gate. If you step in there, it'll take you to the secret that you're looking for." Jimin growled.
I gulped as he began to laugh. "But of course if you want to die, I'm sure you'll love that fate." He laughed. I shook my head. "I'll go. I want the truth." Jimin nodded. "Good. He's bad news."
After saying goodbye to Jimin, and drinking myself drunk, I managed to go back home. At least get close to it...
I felt hands on my waist just before I walked around the corner. I pushed the hands off, when I got pulled back. "Where do you think you're going?" A low voice hissed. "Home." I spat.
I yelped when I felt lips on my neck, immediately trying to push them away, when a second pair of hands tied my hands back. "Kookie, he was mine." The deep voice whined.
"Shut it Tae. He's mine." The other voice hissed. "Let go!" I yelled. I screamed in pain when sharp fangs penetrated my skin. I struggled, kicking and trying to force them away.
I managed to fall out of their grip after a few seconds, immediately running for my life when I bumped into Hoseok. He gasped at the sight of my bleeding neck and helped me up. "Hyung! What happened?!" He yelled.
At that moment, these 'Kookie' and 'Tae' came around the corner, immediately stopping at the sight of Hoseok. He gave them a deadly glare. "What did you two do?" He growled.
The two didn't reply. "H-Hoseok hyung... You're with him?" Tae asked nervously. Hoseok nodded. "I know he is... attractive... but that gives you two no right!" He yelled. Kookie looked down in shame. "Hyung... we bit him..."
Hoseok blinked a few times, his ears turning red in anger. "YOU WHAT?!" He shrieked. "We thought he smelled good so we bit him! Please don't hit us!" Tae begged. "I should, but I have to get him to the hospital, more to say to Jin because he is the only person who I know that can solve this!" Hoseok yelled.
Hoseok dragged me with him abruptly, his legs seemed to float on some kind of invisible speedy Sonic shoes at the speed that we came at the building where I first met Jin. I gulped.
"He's bad news."
Hoseok pushed me inside gently when I ripped myself out of his grip, sprinting to the directions that Jimin told me to. "Wha- Yoongi hyung! No!" I could hear Hoseok run after me yelling a series of no's.
I widened my eyes and gulped at the sight. There was an elevator. It was a blood-red, modern and yet old fashioned as the very detailed iron doors that you'd see at the front of someone's mansion slowly opened to reveal the vague silhouette of the doctor.
I held my breath as his eyes slowly matched with mine and Hoseok bumped into my back. A line of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth as Jin slowly put the many boos he held down, making his way to me.
I bit my lip as Hoseok mumbled some curse words under his breath. Jin stopped in front of me, his sudden tall figure hitting me like a brick. His red eyes shifted to Hoseok, and the obvious wounded bitemarks in my neck, which had leaked onto my jacket.
"Were you too late, Hoseok?" Jin asked. His tone was low and dangerous, overprotective or guilty. Hoseok looked down, ashamed of what he was about to answer when Jin began to talk again. "It doesn't matter. He has been bitten, and all we can hope for is that their venom won't spread."
I gulped, terrified of what I saw. I turned around to Hoseok, who's skin was slowly getting paler with every second. "Please, Hoseok, can you find any drop of venom in his blood?" Jin asked, tapping his finger on the sensitive skin of the bitemark.
I hissed, inhaling sharply when Jin rubbed the skin, muttering an apology. Hoseok hesitantly looked at the bitemarks, shaking his head. "Both of them." He said, disappointment filling his voice.
Jin rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Both of them..." He sighed. "Come on. Follow me, and don't even think about getting away if you want to continue your normal life." Jin spat lowly, pulling me by my wrist into the elevator.
Hoseok hopped behind quickly. "Jin hyung? What are you going to do?" He asked concerned. "I'm fixing their mistake. I'm going to try and take the venom from his blood by taking it in myself by either biting him, or using a syringe. The syringe may take longer since I won't be able to taste where the venom has been. In all conclusions, the choice is up to Yoongi." Jin explained, fixing his robe.
"Venom? So what Jimin said was true?!" I yelled. Jin snapped his head to me. "Jimin? Park Jimin?" He hissed lowly. I gulped, nodding. "That little snitch." Jin snapped. "What did he tell you?"
I looked down at my shoes as the elevator slowly started moving. "That you were bad news." I answered. Jin sighed annoyed. "Stupid little..." He sucked in a breath, tensing up to restrain his anger. "Don't believe him. Elves like him are liars. They feed off other's panic and fear."
I frowned. "But Jimin has been one of my best friends." "Than he has been lying to you. I know it may come as a shock to you, but elves like him are made to lie." Jin said softly. I sighed. "I... I'm so confused Jin. I got bitten by two vampires and now I'm infected with their venom and you're going to try and help me..."
"I'm not going to try, Yoongi. I'm going to succeed." Jin said, smiling confidently as he opened the iron door. I gulped, walking with him in the long hallway, unlocking a door and opening it.
"Sit down, please. Do you want the faster and safer way, or the slower and more effective way?" Jin asked, locking the door behind Hoseok. Hoseok held my hand tightly as I took seat in the comfortable chair.
I bit my lip. "The first option." Jin nodded. "I'm going to have to bite you. Is that okay with you?" He asked. I gulped, nodding. "Will it hurt?" "A little at first. When the pain sense kicks in, it'll cause my fangs to let out some kind of fluid that will completely numb your body. After that you won't feel anything for a bit." Jin explained.
I nodded, gasping when an ice-cold sting spread over my body. Hoseok grabbed my hand in worry. "He's ice-cold..." "Than we have to hurry." Jin said calmly, taking a seat on that dentist-kind-of chair, rolling towards me.
He gently tilted my head, carefully sinking his fangs into my skin. I screamed out in pain, my body shaking at the unknown feeling. I may have had two pairs of fangs in my neck but this was a whole other level.
Jin pulled out of my skin, carefully grabbing my wrist. "Hoseok, comfort him. I'm going to his veins." Hoseok nodded, mentally preparing himself. "Why my veins--" I screamed loudly, Jin his fangs piercing into my wrist, cutting right through my veins.
I gritted my teeth harshly, tears rolling down from my eyes as Hoseok let me squeeze his hand painfully. Jin slowly began to drink, gulping all my blood down his throat.
In a few minutes, he pulled his fangs from my wrist. "I can smell more. Just a little longer Yoongi." Jin encouraged, quickly moving to the other side. He hesitantly slid my jacket off and my shirt, biting right in my chest.
Screams were flowing out of my mouth like curse words and pain. Jin panted slightly, pulling his fangs out of my skin. He looked at me. "How are you feeling Yoongi?" He asked softly.
"I'm in pain hyung! So much pain!" I cried. "That fluid didn't work!" "I'm sorry, I was in too many places in a too short time to make the fluid even pass into your body. I should have warned you." Jin said softly. He rolled his chair back to the desk.
"Let Hoseok treat you daily. Don't come outside for a few weeks and let him take some blood to get his bloodstream back working." He said, giving Hoseok a prescription. "Don't let him go outside." Jin repeated sternly. "I can't confirm anything yet, but I hope that it's done."
Hoseok nodded when Jin spoke again. "Check his body temperature every two to three hours. If it lowers, call me immediately. If it's fine and goes back to the normal human temperature, it's fine. If nothing is happening then call me at the end of the week. I will pay a visit every night to make sure that you're okay and to refill your blood." Jin said lowly.
I panted, slowly calming myself down. Hoseok nodded. "I'll treat him well!" He said confidently. I looked at my chest and my wrist, blood trailing down from the bite wounds. I took a few deep breaths as Hoseok helped me up.
"I'm sorry for all the pain. It'll go away soon. But do not go outside when you get inside the house. The venom was very quickly spreading, so a slight transformation might have taken place already. I don't want to risk him trying to bite humans without fangs." Jin chuckled.
Hoseok nodded. "Don't worry. I'll take care of him." "You better." I spat quietly. Hoseok sighed, helping me back home and laid me to rest on the bed. "H-Hobi... what are you?" I asked shakily. Hoseok abruptly froze, biting his lip. "I'm an elf. But not one like Jimin. Unlike his kind, I can't lie. We are born storytellers, creators of the mind and spirit. We create, but once someone asks us a question which we know the answer to, we can't lie."
Hoseok turned the lights off. "Get some rest hyung. I'll check on you in the morning." He said softly. I laid there. In the dark. Thirsty... cold... Jin...
An usual hiss escaped my lips, mixed with a whimper as Hoseok came running in. "I heard that!" He yelled. "What was that?!" I shrugged, rolling myself into a cocoon. "I'm cold..."
Hoseok felt my temperature, widening his eyes. He clumsily got his phone from his pocket, dialing the number as fast as he could. "Come on, come on, come on..." He growled.
"Hoseok?"
"Thank god! Jin hyung! Get over here right now! Yoongi says he's cold and I heard him hiss!" Hoseok panicked.
"On my way."
Another hiss escaped my lips as my throat slowly started to burn. "Be quick!" Hoseok yelled before the line broke. He quickly felt my forehead, widening his eyes at how cold it was. "You're becoming a freezer!" He exclaimed worriedly.
A few minutes of uncontrollable hissing and Hoseok worrying, Jin finally decided to appear. He walked towards me as if I was the last drop of water on earth, immediately checking my temperature as well.
He widened his eyes in shock. "Crap..." Another hiss slipped past my lips. "Hoseok, give him blood." Jin commanded, getting a syringe from his pocket. My sight was getting blurry as Jin took a sample of blood. Was I a patient? Am I sick?
The scent of blood filled my nose quickly. I shot my head towards the delicious smell, licking my lips. "Human blood?" Jin asked. Hoseok nodded. "Divide in two." Jin said lowly. Hoseok quickly grabbed a glass, dividing the blood into the cups.
Jin pushed the syringe empty with the human blood, while the other stayed untouched. A burning sting in my gums made me hiss again. "This is your blood Yoongi." Jin said lowly.
The glass with blood was dark. Very dark. Almost lifeless. "This is human blood." Jin said, holding up Hoseok's cup. The blood was sweeter and lighter, a more vibrant color of red. "And this is my blood." Jin finished, cutting his wrist.
The blood that oozed from his skin was a little darker red than my blood, causing Hoseok to gasp. "How is it spreading so quickly?" He asked. "There are two types of venom in his body, perhaps one was removed and the other had spread. I could only smell one kind of venom, it would only make sense..." Jin explained.
Another hiss escaped my lips as Jin handed me the human blood. I gulped it down my throat as if it was the most delicious thing on earth. Because it was. I hissed loudly, a more threatening type of hiss.
"Is he...?" Hoseok asked. Jin nodded. "It's too much venom to remove and getting it out now would risk his death. We have no choice but to let him transform." Jin said sadly.
"Transform?" I asked quietly. Jin nodded. "I'm very sorry Yoongi, but you're becoming a vampire." He said softly. I blinked at them for a few times, and shrugged. Hoseok widened his eyes. "Your life is changing and all you give me is a 'hm' and a shrug?! I have been protecting you from getting turned all these years and this is how you thank me?!"
I tilted my head at him. "I didn't know you were in the first place. If you had told me, I would have been more careful and this would not have happened." I said slowly. "Oh! So now it's all my fault! So because I wanted to stop you from freaking out over all these people it's my fault?!" Hoseok yelled.
"Than why did you take me to Jin? I thought I was going insane." I asked. "Because you said that you began to see things with me..." Hoseok sighed. "I wanted to make sure that it was just limited, but seeing as what Jin told me at the first visit, it was bound to be bad."
Jin nodded. "Open your mouth please." He said softly. I did as I was told, causing Hoseok to yelp slightly. Jin gently traced his finger along the outline of my fangs, wiping the blood on his finger away. "Your fangs are looking healthy and normal. No weird sharpness differences at least." Jin said lowly.
My eyes shot towards Hoseok. He smelled... good. I hissed lowly, managing to fall out of my cocoon. "Why does he look like e wants to rip my head off?" Hoseok asked gulping. "Because you have human blood.inside your body. It's extremely attractive to him." Jin explained.
Hoseok widened his eyes. "No... hyung. No... bad hyung." "I'm not a dog." I spat. Jin sighed, pulling a cleaner syringe from his pocket. He carefully took some blood from Hoseok's neck, filling the empty cup with it. He held it out to me.
"Drink it." Jin said softly. I wasted no time to gulp it down my throat as if it was a liquor shot. "Listen Yoongi. From today on, you and I are going to feed together. Every day, morning, afternoon, and evening. At night we'll go over what has changed. Okay?" Jin asked. I nodded. "Okay."
-A few weeks later-
I panted, my mouth covered in blood. I turned my head to Jin, who took a few deep breaths. "You've really become a better vampire Yoongi." Jin started. "I see changes. Good ones."
We slowly started to head back, like every night. "I've seen changed in you as well Jin hyung." I said softly. Jin hummed. "Like what?" He asked. "You're sweeter. More gentle than you already were. As if I'm a diamond of gold which holds the most dangerous weapon and must be treated with love and tender care." I replied.
Jin sighed. "It's true. I'm... afraid." He said lowly. "Of what?" I asked. Jin bit his lip. "I've grown towards you in these past weeks. More than I would like to say I do. I have grown feelings towards you that I simply can't describe but wanting to be close to you. I want to hold you, caress your beautiful skin and tell you how much I love you." Jin said softly.
"I'm in love with you Yoongi. Ever since last week, I can't get you out of my head." He said quietly, looking down at his feet. I looked at him with shock. "So... I'm not the only one who has grown to love..."
Jin looked up at me abruptly. "What?" "I love you Jin hyung." I smiled. Jin returned me a loving smile, carefully taking my hand in his. "May I?" He asked softly. I nodded, feeling the butterflies in my stomach go wilder and wilder.
Jin smiled and gently pressed his lips on mine. The feeling was indescribable. His soft lips on mine made my mind go insane. I kissed back, after a few seconds letting go with the sweetest chu.
"Thank you Yoongi." "No, thank you Jin hyung." I smiled. Jin chuckled. "Drop the formality dear. We're dating now, aren't we?" I nodded vigorously. "Good. Now go on home, or do you want me to bring you?" "Bring me home please." I pouted. Jin chuckled, taking my hand in his, starting to walk.
I waved Jin goodbye, closing the door behind me. "Hobi! I'm home!" Hoseok came sprinting down the stairs. "How was it? Tell me everything!" Hoseok yelled. "Okay, okay." I waited a bit in silence. "Jin and I just became a couple!" I squealed.
Hoseok gasped. "No way!" "Yes, way!" "I don't believe it!" Hoseok yelled. "He held my hand, and told me that he wants to hold me and caress my beautiful skin and tell me how much he loves me!" I yelled back happily. Hoseok squealed in excitement.
"When is the first date?" He asked. I shrugged. "We'll see. All I know is that I've got a boyfriend now!" I squealed, letting myself fall on the couch. I sighed deeply, holding my heart which was beating 500 miles an hour. "My boyfriend..."
The End
