💛No one can keep me away💛
Seokjin's POV
I growled, chasing my prey through the different million lookalike trees. My paws carrying me through the dirt as I jumped on top of the deer, clawing it apart.
My ear twitched when I heard the bushes rustling. I growled, letting a louder roar announcing my presence. "It's rude to growl towards little cubs." A voice replied. I looked up, seeing an orange paw hanging from the tree branch. It wasn't a tiger paw... It didn't look like my own.
"Who are you?" I growled. "Me? Do you care? You'd probably want to kill me." The voice laughed. "I will if you don't answer me." I snarled. The voice laughed again before jumping down. It was a caracal...
I tilted my head at him. "Why were you being so mysterious? You're a wild cat, I wouldn't attack one of my own." I growled. The caracal shook his head wildly, shaking his fur in wild directions. His ear twitched slightly, making a soft purring growl.
(If you look up a caracal sound you'll know what I mean.)
He laid down, playfully swaying his tail. He sprinted towards the bush, he came back after a few seconds with a rabbit in his mouth, his eyes sparkling with hope. He laid down again, ripping it bit by bit, and taking his sweet time to eat.
I tilted my head. "What are you doing?" He looked up at me. "Eating." "I can smell that. But why with me? Don't you have a pack to feed?" I asked. He shook his head. "I travel alone."
"Why?" I asked, starting to eat my own dinner. "Hunter shot my pack." He replied. My fur stood up at that answer. "Is there a hunter close?" The caracal nodded. "Looking for wild animals to put in a zoo. Seems like they hired the wrong kind of guy." He shrugged.
My ears perked up. A shot... "We need to get out of here." "And why are you warning me for that? I thought you were heartless." The caracal growled. I growled in return, a much lower and darker growl than his. "Because I don't want you to lead that killer to me." I snarled.
"If you want to die, go ahead." I growled. The caracal got up. "I'm Hoseok." He purred. "Come on!" He smiled, sprinting away. I tilted my head for a slight moment, before sprinting after him after hearing another shot.
It hurt my ears. And my stomach. I had to leave my food! Hoseok laughed happily as he hip-hopped between the trees. "Come on!" I growled at him, wincing in pain when I stumbled over my paws. Hoseok his eyes perked up, growling and purring threateningly.
He sneaked towards the bushes, biting towards it. Not even my ears could pick up his paw steps. I guess he is a good guy to keep around. Hoseok jumped into the bushes, not even a few minutes later coming back with a deer. He smiled. "I got dinner!"
I tilted my head sniffing him slightly. He smelled good. Hoseok sneezed, a soft purr following after as he shook his head. "Sorry... I get that." He smiled. "Come on. Eat up! You'll be needing the energy to run! I know a perfect hiding spot." He said happily.
I tilted my head. "Are you sure? It's your prey." Hoseok nodded. "Eat up." He nudged the deer towards me. I took one more glance at him for approval, while he just laid down, smiling and waiting.
He was generous. His voice was very unique, he was sweet and nice. The first who wasn't afraid of me after the story. "Hoseok..." "Yeeees?" He smiled. "Why aren't you afraid of me?" I asked.
Hoseok blinked a few times. "I looked up to you. I didn't like my first mate. She was rude and spoiled. A lioness." He growled. "I was forced around their territory. Everyone looked up at me as if I was royal, while all I wanted was to play around!" He whined. "When I heard the story of you breaking your bond by killing your mate, I was going to do the same. So I did."
I almost choked on a piece of meat. "I'm sorry... Did you kill your mate?!" Hoseok nodded proudly. "I was finally free from that spoiled lioness! After two years..." He sat up and scratched his ear, which was twitching slightly because of the itching feeling.
"After that I got sent away. Then I saw you and I followed you. Not for long, before not even a day ago the hunting season started." He whined. "All the little cubs..." I sighed. "Indeed Hoseok. Indeed..."
I looked at him. "The kill was a complete accident. I never meant to send her in front of the hyenas. I know that he was... weak... But still." I said softly. Hoseok looked down. "Oh... It doesn't matter. You probably won't even remember me if I get shot or if I roam alone." He said sadly.
That scent... It became stronger. I sniffed him again, and this time, Hoseok did too. He rubbed his head on my fur. "So soft..." He purred. It send shivers down my spine. The good kind. He smelled good, so calming and loyal.
I hesitantly rubbed my head on his shoulder fur, feeling it softly between mine. I hesitantly moved my head under his, pushing his head up and away from me. He whined. Before I even knew it, I licked his fur. Hoseok was in absolute shock. He relaxed against my touch, continuing to stroke his head against me.
A loud gunshot snapped me out of my actions. I blinked a few times, clueless at what happened. "Hobi..." "Hyung..." He whined. "We have to go." I said softly. Hoseok stared at me as I walked further, his mouth slightly agape in disappointment and sadness.
He followed me nonetheless. "Hyung... what was that just then?" He asked. I ignored his question. "We should vet as far away as possible from the jungle. Perhaps downside the wastelands." I said softly.
Hoseok growled at me. I abruptly stopped. "Hyung. Answer me." He demanded. I sighed. "I don't know. It... just happened. You smelled so good and it lured me." I answered. Hoseok smiled. "Mate." He purred.
I shook my head. "No more mates for me Hoseok. Not after the last." His eyes widened in sadness. Tears welled up in his amber eyes as he followed me with his head hung low. He sniffled every snow and then.
It hurt me deeply. Hearing him suppress his feeling like this. Again the urge to calm him came in my mind. I shook my head. We aren't mates. Hoseok sniffled again, this time sobbing quietly. My heart hurt so much. I can't take it anymore.
I hesitantly leaned to stroke his fur again, causing Hoseok to back away. "You said no mates..." He sobbed. "I guess I was wrong. I'm sorry Hoseok." I said softly. "The pull is too strong."
I rubbed my head under his, feeling his soft fur. I purred quietly. So soft... Hoseok happily rubbed his head back on my fur, carefully licking my fur. It send soft shivers down my spine of the calm and trusted movements.
I licked his fur, feeling better than I had in years. I felt trusted, loved, admired and safe. "Mate..." I purred softly. Hoseok purred, smiling widely. "Mate." He purred back.
Another gunshot. Hoseok his ears perked up and immediately laid back down in his neck. "We have to go. Now." He demanded, pushing me away and ran. I quickly followed him. "How close are they?" I asked. "I could smell them at my claws!" Hoseok yelled.
With a while of running we came at the wastelands. It was a dry surface. No animal except for snakes or maybe a few birds would go here willingly. That's why we have the biggest shot of surviving on the other side.
Hoseok squealed when he heard another gunshot, and another, and another. He shrunk to himself, his fur standing up uncomfortably. "So... loud!" He whined. I gently stroked his fur. "Just a little bit more, can you do that for me?" I asked. Hoseok hesitantly nodded. I smiled. "Come on."
The wastelands were warm and tiring. I haven't seen any water or animal except for Hoseok, and he looks just as exhausted as me. In the blurry vision of the heat, I could see trees, slowly form a forest.
"Hoseok... Hoseok look." I whimpered. Hoseok looked up, his ear twitching slightly. "Home..." He smiled. We continued, exhausted and in pain. But... this wasn't a forest. These were trees... with some sort of hard brick on the floor. Weird buildings that were made. This looked nothing like a forest.
The further we went, the weirder it got. Weird places of sand with small unknown creatures that played in them. I'm just a young grown-up... "Jinnie..." Hoseok whimpered. "I'm scared." "Me too Hoseok... Me too."
"Mommy look! Big cats!" One of the creatures called out. Their mother, which was a taller weird creature turned to us with shock and fear. "Alright dear, everyone inside and don't panic!" She said quickly, pushing the small creatures into the weird box.
Hoseok and I stared as other creatures also went inside of their boxes. What was going on? Where are we? Hoseok sniffed. "I smell rabbits." He smiled. I sniffed as well. Indeed... "Two or three. Enough for both of us to feed!"
We followed our noses, finding rabbits eventually. But they were stuck... I poked the cage lightly, causing the rabbits to run into the protected little box.
I yelled in pain when something hit my side. I growled, roaring loudly at the sting. Hoseok looked at me with worry when he himself got hit too. My sight blurred, and the last thing I could see, were two weird creatures in black, with a gun, and a small arrow in my side, before I passed out.
"Jinnie? Jinnie wake up!" Hoseok yelled. "Jinnie!" Hoseok's voice was not even close to me. I hesitantly opened my eyes. "Hoseok?" "Over here!" He yelled. I widened my eyes. "Why are you all the way over there?!" I yelled.
Hoseok shook his head. "I don't know! I can't reach you!" He yelled. I set my paws against the weird invisible wall, pushing at it. "Hoseok!" "Jinnie!"
"Give it up. I tried." A female tiger sighed. "They put all of us different kinds apart. We're a show for humans." She growled. "Humans?" "Those weird two pawed walkers there." She nudged at the creatures.
I frowned. "How did I get here? Where am I?" I asked. "In a zoo. This is a place for animals to be captured and taken from the wild just so human can watch us act 'cute'." She snarled at one of the humans. "So... I'm trapped?"
She nodded. "The name's Lisa." She smiled. "Seokjin." I replied. "That cute little caracal over there is Hoseok. My mate." I said lowly. Lisa nodded. "I know. He growled and roared and howled when you got taken away from him."
I hung my head low. "I miss him. I need him close to me." I whined. Lisa sighed. "Worse is to come tiger." She said coldly. "How?" I growled. "Mating season's coming up. Guess what." "What?" I snarled. "They force us to mate. The female and male tigers are forced to get cubs. It's like they don't even care." Lisa growled.
"Because they don't." I growled. My sight of Hoseok was blocked by these humans. I could feel his fear and I wanted nothing more but to save him from it. I can imagine him sobbing and curled up in fear. The thought only angered me. I had to be with him. I have to protect him!
I roared loudly, Lisa slightly backing away from my sudden outburst. I could see humans pointing at me with open mouths. What was so special about my roar? It's just one like any other.
Lisa nudged my head. "Don't do that. I know you're angry, but humans find it cool. If you ignore them they'll go away and you can see your mate." She said growling. I growled of frustration before turning away.
The pull towards Hoseok got stronger the further away I got. I was shaking on my paws. "Why can't I be close to him?" I growled. Lisa helped me balance again, taking me further away. "Just relax. After tonight, you might want to brace yourself." She said softly. "Your mate might hate it more than you. I sense dominance in you, which means that your mate is weaker. If it is a male, then I fear the worst."
I gulped. "Hoseok is a male. My mate... If mating season is coming then I will resist my urges until I get out of this prison and return to Hoseok." I growled. Lisa smiled. "How good I find your plan, the building locks down. Security roams the halls and all cemeteries are locked. The only way out is through the glass, and that has four thick layers."
I tilted my head. "Glass?" "The invisible wall." Lisa said shortly. "Anyway. I may know someone who can help. Actually, make that five." She grinned. She ran to the back of the cage, where another sort of cage was placed. Filled with panthers.
Lisa stomped his paws onto the glass. "Yoongi!" The panther in the tree turned his head annoyed to her, growling lowly. "Let me sleep." "We got a code mate, mate." She grinned. Yoongi sighed, getting up and jumping down, sitting in front of the glass and us.
"Speak." He growled. "Seokjin's mate is in the other cage. From what I heard he's determined to get to him before or during mating season. We need your and Namjoon's help." Lisa said smiling. Yoongi's mouth twitched slightly, his nose twitching with it. His tail slowly moving back and forth. "Alright. I'm up for it. Anyone else Namjoon needs to warn?"
Lisa nodded. "Let him call Taehyung and Jimin, those two can come in handy. Let Taehyung call Jungkook." Lisa growled. Yoongi got up, stretching his limbs. "Nice. Consider it done." He grinned. Yoongi turned his head to me. "Your mate will be with you soon. Don't worry."
I nodded, thanking him. Lisa smiled, watching Yoongi flexibly jump and run towards the cage filled with wolves. I could see a dark brown with black colored wolf talk to him, smiling as he looked at me, before he ran off as well.
Lisa made a turn, jumping onto a high rock. It was fake... How disgusting. I simply laid down on the grass, huffing in annoyance as I felt Hoseok's fear grow with every second.

I whimpered, surrounded by only a few caracals. How was Jinnie doing? Was he okay? Will we ever see each other again and be able to lick each other's fur?
I let a small sob slip past my lips, hearing some humans 'aw' at me. I growled at them. They don't know what I'm going through. I sat up, scratching my ear again. It became a habit over the years. When I get nervous I get itchy. When I get too warm, I get itchy. When I feel scared, you guessed it, I get itchy.
"Hey, you okay?" I growled at the voice, biting towards him. "You are not Seokjin! Stay away from me!" I roared. The caracal tilted his head. "Sorry... I was wondering if you were alright." "I'm perfectly fine." I spat, sarcasm firing like venom. "My mate is all the way over there and I don't know how he is doing! I don't know if I'll ever be able to hold him ever again!" I yelled.
"My name is Shownu." He said smiling. "Who are you?" "None of your business." I spat, turning away from him. "Well... okay then, none-of-your-business, you might want to know that a little rabbit has a message for you. He mentioned the name Seokjin."
My ears perked up. "Seokjin?" "That's what he said." Shownu nodded. "Where is he?!" "Cage behind us." Shownu said. I sprinted towards it, seeing a rabbit sitting there, its paws running over its head and ears, his small button nose twitching.
"What did you say about Seokjin?!" I yelled, pressing my paws against the glass. The rabbit looked up. "Are you Hoseok?" He asked. I nodded vigorously. "How is my mate?!"
The rabbit smiled. "My name is Jungkook, your now personal messenger. I got from Taehyung that got from Namjoon that got from Yoongi that got from Lisa and Seokjin that they are planning to break out. You and him will be together again. Therefore, we need you to do something." He said.
I nodded again. "Anything." "If mating season comes, and we are not able to go out tonight, you must resist and kill the humans that hold you." Jungkook said. I nodded. "When will they take a hold of me?" "They forced me already once... then they realized I was too young to mate. I got picked up at 6 in the morning. They pick predators last so you may have a bit more time." Jungkook replied.
I nodded again. The thought of being with Jinnie made my heart flutter. Don't worry... I'll be there.

I growled once again. The only good grass was near the humans, and they'd constantly point at me and telling their friends or parents how cool I was. So I have stripes and I look like this... Tiger character from some show this kid talked about. Winnie the Poo or something.
Another kid talked about some film. Kung Fu Panda... I'm not Chinese. I constantly growled at them. Then this one fat spoiled kid came by. He kept banging his fat fist on the glass.
He wore this weird cap with a multicolored button-up shirt that almost broke, I swear. White shorts underneath and a giant lollipop in his hand. Lisa told me he comes by every day just to get a roar. No one ever listens to him...
Lisa says he's a... bitch.
I constantly pushed my ears down to stop the sound of this kid. "It's the son of the owner of this prison." Yugyeom growled. He was currently laying next to me, enjoying the heat lamp. "That's why he can do that. Spoiled brat." He cursed. I growled. "He's fat. One more pound and he'll explode into little bits of annoyance." I snarled. "I'd want to see that." Yugyeom chuckled.
The banging on the glass continued, causing me to abruptly stand up. I slowly made my way towards him, stopping right in front of him. A low growl rumbled in my throat, my eyes piercing through his. A loud threatening roar echoed through the building, and I could feel Hoseok's trust at the sound.
The boy gasped and smiled, his fat cheeks almost hiding it all. "Dad! Dad look!" He yelled. Even his voice was fat and annoying. I laid down, seeing the boy run away.
"Jin, right?" "Seokjin." I corrected him. "You just saved the day." The voice chuckled. "Let's hope he stays away." I growled. "I'd love that." The voice chuckled. It sounded young. "I'm BamBam." He smiled. "Why BamBam?" I asked. "Can you pronounce the name Bhuwakul?" He asked. I stayed quiet. "Good point."
I groaned in annoyance as soon as I heard the boy again. "Brat." I growled. "Bitch." Lisa snarled. "He never leaves. Tigers are his favorite, he says. I say find another animal to disturb." She growled. I growled.
"Look dad! Look! He roared for me!" The boy yelled, pointing at me. I looked away. His father was just as fat, or even fatter. I growled again. Why can't he just leave me alone? His father smiled proudly. "That is why we named him after you."
I was about to rip his head off. All the other tigers that surrounded me could feel my anger and tension. "They named me? I already have a name, and they re-named me after that spoiled fat idiot human bastard?!" I shrieked. My muscles were tense as I stood up.
I made direct eye contact with the father, letting him know how bad of a mistake he had made. I slammed my body against the glass. Roaring once again. My anger had to express itself, and I need Hoseok with me.
The father widened his eyes at me. "Back off!" He yelled. Does he think he can command me? I growled loudly, throwing my body against the glass again. "HOSEOK!" I roared loudly, I have to be with him. Cracks were starting to show with every time I threw my body against the glass.
Lisa smiled, soon even helping me in the process. "Jinnie!" Hoseok roared back, his voice only encouraging me to move. The father quickly made everyone leave, calling for security. I roared loudly once again, my body breaking through the glass. I fell onto the hard ground with a thud, glass piercing through my fur.
I winced in pain, seeing Hoseok smile and roar for me. I've never felt such trust. Such encouragement and motivation. My body felt strong. I may be bloodied, my body may be in pain, but for Hoseok, I'll do anything. I'll do anything for him.
Anything.
I slammed my body against the glass of his cage. The other tigers rushed through the halls, either to their mate, or a friend. Slowly one by one, cages broke. The wolf I saw talking to Yoongi pushed me aside. "Let me handle it." He growled. "Namjoon, go easy. Last time you broke your paw." Yoongi chuckled.
Namjoon rolled his eyes, growling as he threw his body to the cage. He had more impact than I did, the glass almost breaking at once. He slammed his paws against the glass before falling through the cage.
Hoseok jumped over his body, jumping onto me. "Jinnie!" The feeling of his body against mine made me feel relaxed. I finally had him again. He was mine. And mine only. I purred lowly when I felt him on top of me, his fur brushing against mine, his head rubbing against mine.
"I missed you so much..." He whimpered. "I missed you more." I replied, licking his fur. Hoseok purred, relaxing of my touch. His paws shook slightly. I smiled. "No one can keep me a day from being with you."
Hoseok smiled. "I was hopeless without you." He said softly. "I never knew a mate's pull could be so strong." I said softly. "I didn't either." Hoseok chuckled. "Never leave me again." He whined. "Never." I shook my head.
No one stopped us. No one could stop us. With Hoseok next to me, the world was a piece of meat to me. I felt like I could take over it, ruling it all, with Hoseok by my side.
I smiled when I smelled the fresh outside air once again. Hoseok nudged my side playfully. "Come on, let's go home!" He smiled. "Let's go home." I smiled.
The End
