Hoseok's POV

1426, December 4th...
Jiheun's birthday. My lifelong friend. My human girlfriend.

"Hoseok oppa?" I turned around, snapping out of my thoughts. "Jiheun? Aren't you supposed to be celebrating something?" I asked with a chuckle. She gave me a comforting smile. "There is nothing to celebrate without you."

I placed a gentle kiss on her plump lips. "Come on. I'll be there soon." I said smiling. She took a deep breath. "Hoseok... I've been thinking. I'm 31 now. I... I want to have a child, but is it too early? Should I wait?" She asked nervously.

I looked at her with slight surprise. "I would say wait until you find the right one," I replied. "He'll be waiting, or I'll be." I smiled. "What are you saying Hoseok?" She asked, tilting her head cutely.

I chuckled. "I wanted to wait with this until everyone left, but I guess it can't wait." She smiled slightly at my secretive words. "Hoseok." She laughed. "Just throw it out!"

I chuckled and grabbed a small black box from my pocket. "I'm not good with this kind of stuff, you know that, but... Min Jiheun, will you make me the happiest vampire in the world? Will you marry me, and become my Jung Jiheun?" I asked, shyly smiling at her.

I had been practicing this for days, finally, I had the courage to ask. It has been almost ten years...

Jiheun gasped in surprise and smiled widely, her heart pounding in her chest of happiness. "What took you so long?" She asked, tears welling in her eyes. "Of course I'll marry you Hoseok!" She yelled, hugging me tightly.

My breathing hitched of happiness and I gladly hugged back. I quickly put the ring around her finger and kissed her of happiness. I heard clapping and yelling from the inside, people starting through the windows, cheering for us.

A few months passed. We were officially husband and wife. My life could not get any better. Until that one question...

"Hoseok oppa... Can you turn me? Please?" Jiheun asked nervously. I almost spat my drink. "Pardon?!" She frowned slightly. "I-I just wanted to be together forever!" She exclaimed. "Jiheun, darling. I can't do such a thing to you..." I said, my tone raising slightly.

She looked down sadly. "I'm sorry for asking." She said softly. I sighed deeply and embraced her in a hug. "In really sorry, but I cannot do that to you. I just can't." She nodded. "I understand. Don't be too down of it." She smiled weakly.

"But... Can I ask another favor of you?" She asked shyly. I nodded. "Of course sweetheart." "Are you okay with having a child?" She asked softly. I chuckled. "Why would I not be? The chance of it becoming a little vampire is so small that not even I can do it." I chuckled.

She smiled. "Thank you!" She kissed me happily. The love that sparked between us was the best that I ever felt.

But sadly. It did not last long. Jiheun... Died. At the birth of our child, who it was too dangerous for to grow up with a vampire.

I had to move on. No matter what. The death of my wife, the loss of my child. Seokjin.

1012, June 13th...
The first day that I was going to meet the members of the new band.

I sighed, my hands in my pockets as I waited for the other members to arrive. Slowly but surely, the others walked in. Most of them were shy, or nervous.

The tallest it seemed, bowed politely. "You must be Hoseok, right? I'm Namjoon, leader of the group." He smiled. I returned him a polite bow. "Jung Hoseok, it's a pleasure Namjoon." I smiled happily, introducing myself to the others and back.

The door slammed open, revealing a wide-shouldered young man, his chest covered in a white sweater of which was tightly pushed against his chest by his arms. He was nervous, but tensed up when he saw me.

I frowned and looked at him. The scent of vampires did not roam through this room before he walked in. Could it be...?

He bowed. "Sorry I'm late! My name is Kim Seokjin, it's a pleasure to meet you all!" He said quickly. We bowed again. I started at him... There would be no possibility... Right?

He had her lips, her innocent eyes, her smooth skin, and my skin tone... I inhaled through my nose sharply, just to get a quick scent. I widened my eyes, looking him dead in his eyes. "Seokjin..."

He tilted his head at me. "That is my name, yes." He smiled. I felt my heart pump in my chest. He had her smile. This could not be a coincidence! He can't be my son! He died years ago!

A few hours passed. My mind was broken right now. Seokjin... Jiheun and I...
I let myself fall on my bed, letting a few annoyed groans and hisses escape my lips. "Seokjin... If only you know..." "Know what?"

I shot up, my eyes wide at the sight in front of me. "Seokjin!" "Hm? Oh... Sorry. Our manager wanted us to room together... Is it bad timing?" He asked nervously. I gave up. This young man, who must be a vampire there is no other option, is almost a male replica of my wife... He must be my son. Or am hallucinating?

He hesitantly pulled his bags with him into the room, closing the door behind him. He there his bags down on his bed and looked at me. For a moment, his eyes flashed a bright red, before returning to their normal brown color.

I hesitantly nodded. "We are." Seokjin looked down shyly, messing with the hem of his sweater. "We're both... Vampires?" He asked quietly. I nodded. "Don't be so shy Seokjin." I chuckled.

Seokjin smiled slightly. "Thank goodness I won't have to hide all alone." He chuckled. "Sit down. Let's talk." I smiled widely.

He sat down on his bed. "When is your birthday Seokjin?" I asked. "December 4th, 1427." He replied. "You?" "February 18th, 1256." I answered hesitantly. "Seokjin. Let me tell you a story..." Seokjin frowned confused. "Alright."

"In the year 1416, I got a girlfriend. Ten years later, I proposed. She accepted." I frowned, tearing up at the memories. "One year later, on December 4th, 1427, we got a little son. Jung Seokjin. Sadly. His mother died during birth, and it was too dangerous for him to grow up with me." I looked at him, taking a deep breath.

"You have her eyes. Her smile, her lips, and her face. I... I think that you may be my son. I'm not sure, but I think you might be." I said softly. Seokjin his eyes widened in shock. "But... My parents were alive! Until I suddenly stopped aging and they died..." He said the last part quietly.

"Were you turned Seokjin?" I asked slowly. He shook his head. "I never got bitten, no." "Were your parents human?" I asked again. He nodded. "They were." "Than how are you a vampire? Did you get born this way?" I asked with disbelieve.

Seokjin stammered a bit. "I think so... Maybe." How did that 1% chance of a vampire baby get into him?! It is 1% for goodness' sake! "Seokjin. What can you remember of your birth?" I asked slowly.

"I remember a dark room, a blinding light. A woman, with light brown hair that was tied up into a messy bun and eyes filled with a chocolate brown. I remember a man, in all white, a cap on his mouth. And another man, holding the woman's hand. He was smiling. Red eyes, hazel brown hair, he was pale... Fangs visible when he smiled." Seokjin explained, hesitantly looking at me while calling the features of Jiheun, the doctor, and me...

He gulped visibly. "A-are you... Are you really my father?" He asked softly. I nodded slowly. "I think I am. I think that you are my Seokjin..." I inhaled sharply to hold my tears from falling. "How long has it been?" Seokjin asked, a few silent tears rolling down from his porcelain pale cheeks.

"Too long." I answered. Seokjin sniffled lightly and jumped on top of me, embracing me in a right hug. "I missed you so much!" He yelled, my shirt beginning to stain with his tears. But I didn't care.

I let tears escape my eyes, quickly hugging him back. "I missed you too." Seokjin his muffled cries broke my heart, and yet I was so happy to see him. He was all grown up... An adult. I missed his first steps, his first words, his first drink... I wasn't there for him...

I tightened my hug, rocking our bodies back and forth silently. "I'm so sorry Seokjin." I sniffled softly. "P-promise to never leave me a-again!" He cried. "Never again. Your dad will be here for you, from now on, forever." I said quietly.

Seokjin smiled at me, tears still flowing down his cheeks. "Thank you, dad... Thank you..." He sniffled. I embraced him into a right hug once again. "No. Thank you, my son."
