Frowning as he stared at the kingdom, hugging himself. The moon has risen a while ago, leaving stars to decorate the sky.

No one is up.

Why would they be to see him?

His ears tilt back, dropping sadly. He holds out his hand, in the palm lifting just a small bit of blue magic.

He's the prince. The younger prince. The one in the shadows.

Prince Hoseok is a royal hybrid who has the magic ability to possess shadows. A useless ability, he thinks.

But his father told him it will come with time.

But when will time come for him?

Growling at the thought, he huffs sadly and turns, returning to his room. The room is decorated to his royal ability. His place in the family.

The little brother.

The shadow and the light.

He looks at himself in the mirror, scowling at his reflection. His night blue hair waving over his forehead, the moon shining on his snow-pale skin.

Even his dark eyes never reflect the amount of warmth and love that his older brother has.

His are cold and full of hatred.

And swirling within the moonlight that reflects in the mirror, appears someone else besides his reflection.

It's still him. But a darker version.

Someone who he's seen for a while.

Staring at his darker self, he drops his head a little to the side. His reflection remains upright.

His darker reflection has eyes of which the iris is blue, the outside pitch black. It's an ocean surrounded by the void. With hair as black as the night, highlights in shades of blue.

His skin is almost grey, looking dead around the eyes with a half-smirk. The corners of his lips pull up just barely, eyes gleaming with mischief.

This version of him. This part of him.

It's following him.

Every time he meets a mirror, every time he meets his brother. There is always this evil part of him that wants to get rid of his smile. To step forth from the background.

But he can't.

From his own grey wolf ears is a hint of black and white. But those of his reflection are black with grey.

Sighing, Hoseok steps away from his mirror and shakes his head.

"Not tonight..." He mumbles.

He turns further away and leaves his room, shutting the door quietly. He walks the dark hallways, lit with torches. The door to his brother's room is open...

Hoseok peeks inside, seeing his older brother soundly asleep. And in the mirror, when he looks, he sees the black-haired wolf stare back at him.

Slits in the reflection's pupils this time.

It seems that with every look, the reflection becomes more and more hostile. Angrier and more fed up.

Just like him.

The blonde wolf hybrid is asleep, soft calm breathing.

Hoseok pushes the door further open, silently coming in. He kneels down besides his brother's bed. Even asleep he gives light.

He's surrounded by warmth. His skin is smooth and flawless, with a light exterior and the sweetest of personalities.

Seokjin has always been like that. Outshining Hoseok.

With a scoff, Hoseok gets back up and walks out, leaving the door open. It's no use to close it when there is no one coming in or out.

He needs to get some air.

Rushing down the stairs and halls, rooms and doorways, he escapes the castle, finally being able to just rest for a bit.

He continues to run into the forest. A dark one at that. He wants to get rid of this horrible evil him, but he also wants to outshine his brother.

The thought aches his chest. A growl ripping from his lips as he drops to his knees, pulling at his hair angrily. His bright eyes stare up at the moon and at his reflecting shadow.

He's mad.

Mad because he is the younger one.
Mad because he is the darker one.
Mad because he has those evil thoughts.

His ears droop down, looking at his hands. He clenches them to fists, anger growing within him.

Its the self-hatred together with the hatred for his brother that makes this so difficult.

A shadow falls over him, becoming bigger as Hoseok turns his head. There stands a young man, not older than twenty. Small, pale, with a scar struck through his right eye. Turquoise eyes that swirl and glow like he ocean, and hair as black as oil.

Hoseok's hair is tied up, longer for a sign of royalty. Its pinned into a bun with a family gift. But this man's hair is short, sharp, and straight. Bangs almost cover his cold, lonely eyes, and he almost misses the lift of his lips into a soft smirk.

"Your majesty." The man says, eery calmly, nodding his head for a bow.

Hoseok looks back, than back at the man, and back again, than again at the man. He points at himself. "You're talking to me?"

"Do you see any prince near other than you?"

Hoseok looks down and shakes his head.

"May I?" The man asks, pointing at the grass next to him.

Hoseok nods silently. It was distraction for his worried and anger.

The man sinks down besides him, looking up at the bright moon behind them.

"Why aren't you facing that way?"

"The moon is just a reflection of the sun. Stars fly on their own." Hoseok replies. "Why did you come to sit with me?"

The man grins. "You seemed lonely. Some of us want some company too."

Hoseok doesn't say anything. He only sighs and looks back down at the grass.

The man sighs, rushing a hand through his hair, two ears perking up from his head. "You have to admit that your disliking towards your brother is unavoidable."

Hoseok looks at him, frowning.

"Light is everywhere. Even when the moon is up. The sun will always be there and light will always outshine the dark. Your purpose will be useless as long as he exists. Shadow is created by light. Both need each other."

Hoseok's frown grows angry, glaring at the panther hybrid, who only smirks.

"Either way, he will always be loved more than you, because the shadow is cold and lonely. Just like you."

"I am not cold and lonely." Hoseok growls at him.

"What do you think of your brother then?"

"He's sweet, warm, kind. He's the light everyone needs in their lives." Hoseok says.

The man smirks. "And you? What do you think he thinks of you?"

Hoseok opens his mouth, but his ears tilt to the side when he realizes that Seokjin has never told him what he likes about him.

Was he really the neglected brother?

No...

He doesn't want to believe the realization. Surely his brother loves him too...

"See?" The man chuckles. "And your people. What do your people think of you?"

Hoseok stays quiet again. What do his people think of him? He's never heard them cheer for him as much as they have for his brother. He's never heard them greet him when he's together with him.

When he's alone, no one really notices him...

He blinks a few tears away, shaking his head. "Who are you?"

"They call me Agust." The man says. "But my name is Yoongi."

Hoseok growls at him, his ears tilting back. "Well, Yoongi, you have no business in how I live and who I am or what I want. I do not need your therapy." He snaps, getting up and slowly walking away.

Yoongi scoffs, leaning back. "So you don't admit that you've had those bad thoughts? Those evil ones. The murder ones."

Immediately Hoseok stops in his path, looking back with wide eyes. "How...?"

Yoongi tilts his head back, looking at him from the corner of his eye. "I know someone just like you. He was royal, loyal, and left behind."

"Who was he?"

"His name is Jungkook. He lives across the ocean."

"And what does this person have to do with me?" Hoseok asks with a growl.

Smirking, the panther, points at a small dot on the ocean's horizon. "That is where he lives. He used to possess the magic of the sun. He now possesses the magic of fire. He has accepted that gnawing anger inside of him and has become who he always wanted to be."

"Well, I'm not going to!" Hoseok yells angrily. "I love my brother and I may stay in his shadow but at least I know who I am!"

Yoongi smirks as Hoseok walks away, leaving him alone. His push has been given, because in the middle of his yelling, his pupils formed to slits.

°•●•°

Stomping through the halls of the castle, Hoseok returns to his room, walking past his brother's who he doesn't pay any mind to.

He shuts the doors to his room with a loud bang, rushing to his balcojy where he looks out over the dark fence. Yoongi still sits in the field, fiddling with his necklace.

He looks up, waving his hand at the prince, who glares at him.

What if he was his brother? Hoseok sighs. What if he was in the light?

Would others love him?

From the palms of his hands, swirls his magic, sparkling silhouettes of hybrids bow at him.

Clenching his hands to fists, Hoseok pulls his magic away. Even the darkness of his own power disgusts him.

Yoongi is right. He isn't loved by his brother, nor by his people.

Hugging himself, Hoseok turns back to his room, his brows furrowing. He shuts his eyes tightly, his eyes prickling with heavy tears. His ears press tightly against his scalp, his claws digging into his arms.

He bites his lip, gritting his teeth as the drops fall down his cheeks, realization hurting him when he looks back in the mirror.

His reflection stares down at him with sad eyes, wide pupils blown over his iris.

Anger washes over the prince. Letting out a sad howl and an angry growl, grabbing the chair in the room, throwing it against the wall.

It breaks into pieces, panting as he feels his anger surge into adrenaline. The sound of his royal room being destroyed wakes more and more of the castle staff, who come to knock and check.

The door is opened, but they're faced with an angry prince, who holds the glass shard of his perfume tightly in his hands, revealing red dripping blood.

One of the maids rushes in to aid him, but Hoseok grabs her hair before she can reach him.

"Did I give you permission to come in?" He growls angrily, his eyes red from spilling tears.

"N-no! I'm sorry! B-but you're hurt!"

"Not even a bit of respect..." Hoseok mutters, growling as he bites into the rabbit's ear harshly.

His fangs pierce through the white furred skin, blood splattering over the maid's hair as she lets out a scream.

The others gasp, ears tilting back in fear. Chuckling sadly, the prince lets go of the maid, who quickly escapes from his room, in tears from the pain.

Hoseok glares at the staff, not a single bit of humor on his face. He was dead serious. He isn't hostile or in rut. He didn't have one of his tantrums or wolfish nights.

He was serious...

"What is it that my brother has that I don't?" Hoseok mutters to them, another lonely tear falling. "Is it warmth? Is it age? What does he have that I don't?!" He yells angrily at them.

"W-well...--"

"You call him majesty, highness, beautiful, heir... But you never even try to name me as one of the princes. I'm here too... I'm also a prince. I'm also part of the royal family! I belong to be treated just as good as he is!" Hoseok screams angrily.

The staff is a bit panicky. They had been asked questions no one knew how to answer. They do, but no one dares to speak up.

"What is going on...?" A tired voice mumbles.

The staff steps aside, bowing, revealing the older prince, who gasps at the sight of his younger brother.

"Hoseok...?"

"Don't talk to me." Hoseok barks angrily.

His anger instantly returns to him. Sadness washes into his tears at his jealousy, growling at his older brother.

Seokjin looks shocked at the destruction in his room, shocked at Hoseok. He steps closer, but immediately Hoseok swings his palm, his magic snatching onto a decorative sword in the room. One given to him by his grandfather. Someone with similar struggles.

"Don't. Step. Closer." He growls, baring his fangs.

Seokjin steps closer. "You won't hurt me, please calm down..."

Hoseok's brows furrow even more to the point of showing vicious anger, his magic breaking. Fear washes over Seokjin as he watches his brother's eyes grow darker right in front of him.

How his blue iris becomes navy, how his white shimmering eyes becomes back.

"You're right." Hoseok scowls. "I'm just having another one of my tantrums. Like last time."

"Exactly." Seokjin says softly. "Calm down. Everything is okay." He smiles warmly at his brother, gently cupping his cheeks and petting his ears.

Hoseok's head drops down, almost ashamed. But when he sees the bright light that his brother is glowing, and the relieved expressions of the staff, he's has enough.

He grabs his brother's wrist so tightly that he almost feels the bone break.

Roots of pitch black begin to wave down his long hair, his skin paling to grey.

Seokjin screams in pain at the sudden grip, looking into Hoseok's eyes. He gasps when he doesn't recognize them.

What happened...?

Where did he go wrong?

"Stop playing my big brother like it's a role." Hoseok barks angrily. "Start loving me like a real brother!"

"H-Hoseok--!"

"Have you noticed how I've hated you? How I still hate you with all of my heart? I hate you. I despise you. I want you to die."

"Your highness!"

"Just go. I can handle it." Seokjin mumbles to the staff, who are about to step inside. "Take Uri to the nurse."

Hoseok glares at them but lets them go. His brother is the one he wants.

"Hoseok, let go of me." Seokjin growls. He's having enough of his irrational behaviour.

Usually, Hoseok would have and walked away. But now, his grip tightens and he growls, baring his sharp canines as he twists his wrist.

"Leave some room in your spotlight for shadow."

"THAT'S WHAT THIS IS ABOUT?!!" Seokjin yells angrily. "I thought that was a misunderstanding!"

Hoseok scoffs. "You thought wrong. I'm in your shadow whilst you should be in mine. I am more powerful than you. You are loved. No one knows who I am. No one treats me like they treat you. I want that too! I am a prince too! Even you, my own brother, treats me like a servant!"

"When have I ever--?"

"I'M SICK OF YOU!!"

Hoseok howl makes something snap in Seokjin. His worried older brother look turning into one of drilling fear. His brother is changing both mentally, physically, and in the way he talks.

His long hair, once dark with simple blue, is now a pitch black with night skies. His eyes, once magical and sweet, now a deep dark void of the ocean.

A deep guttural growl rips itself from Hoseok's throat when he sees Seokjin's fearful stare.

He pushes Seokjin away from him. "Leave. I'm sure you can manage a kingdom all by yourself. There is no one here who cares for my presence."

"H-Hoseok..."

"You know what?" Hoseok smirks, showing rows of sharp fangs. "I might leave. This place is clearly not mine, and there is someone waiting for me outside, who has taken the time to talk to me like a normal person, calling me the title I deserve to be."

Staring, mouth agape and ears tilted back, Seokjin watches with soft tears as his brother pushes past him. Just as he's about to then the corner, Hoseok chuckles.

"I am still a prince. When you are gone, I will be taking over. That will be very soon." He growls, smirking. "Mark my words, brother." He spits with such venom that it disgusts him to even say it.

And as he walks towards the exit of the castle. With every mirror he passes, the one left is a mere worried boy, a blue soul in a faded silhouette of a heartbroken boy.

His past self...

Approaching Yoongi with more confidence than before, the panther smirks. His ears twitch when they hear Hoseok stepping closer.

"You told me about the island." Hoseok says. "Take me to it."

"Are you sure that you can handle the heat?"

"I'm a posession of shadow. Now ice." Hoseok says with a smirk. "I can handle anything that is given to me. It will only be a matter of time before Seokjin's time is over."

Yoongi chuckles and grins at that, looking into Hoseok's dark eyes.

"I'm certain of it, your highness."

°•●•°

Hours after they're crossing the ocean, Yoongi has been moving water since the start. The island has been coming closer to the point where they have finally arrived.

Hoseok feels no regret. He's only smirking, waiting to meet this Jungkook. He must have made something good of his life.

Hoseok climbs up to the wooden and stone stairs and platforms, which have been build at the edge of the island.

Once Yoongi is on as well, his eyes return to their normal turquoise, the water smashing closed behind him.

"I thought only royals had magic." Hoseok says, looking back at him as they move to the surface of the island.

"When did I tell you I wasn't royal?" Yoongi grins. "I might be."

"Are you?"

"Do you think I am?"

Hoseok raises one of his brows and he smirks. "You act too rebellious to be royal."

Yoongi returns him a smirk.

Climbing to the top, Yoongi immediately pulls Hoseok with him. Confused, the prince is pulled towards a shop. A place...

"Jimin! Are you in?"

"Right here! I'm in the back!"

Hoseok cocks his head at the voice and the man that peeks from the door.

He gasps, immediately bonking against the door and opening it by accident, quickly standing back up and bowing with a bright red face.

"Y-your majesty! What a surprise! I hadn't expected you so soon!"

Hoseok grins at his choice of words and looks at Yoongi, who shrugs.

"Do you remember those clothes I gave you?" Yoongi asks.

"Those blue ones? Of course. You told me to make them something worth royal."

Yoongi nudges his head to the prince. "They're for him. He can't approach the king with clothes like that, can he?"

Looking down at himself, Hoseok's face dusts in red. He's still in his pajamas. He never changed...

Giggling a bit, Jimin nods. "Of course. If his majesty will join me?"

The name being directed to him makes him shiver. It feels too good.

Walking with Jimin, he notices all the shine, glamour, fabric, bottles with dust, measuring equipment and much more, all laying on the ground.

"You aren't very organized." Hoseok says. "Do you have any employees?"

"Me? Oh, no! I like to work alone. And I'm sorry about the mess. Yoongi hyung gave me those clothes a week ago so I had a week to make this based on photos and guess the measurements. Looking at you now, I'm not sure if I got it right..."

"I'm sure you did a good job." Hoseok tells him.

"That coming from you is a true compliment, your majesty." Jimin smiles.

Coming to another room, Hoseok cocks his head. This room is all cleaned up. In the middle stands a mannequin, dressed in the best handmade clothes that Hoseok has ever seen.

Dark tones and gradients matching with the shiny silver details. It fits him.

Reaching out to touch the fabric of the cape that hand from the silver plates on the shoulders, he finds himself smiling.

"It's beautiful." He says softly. "Breathtaking."

"Thank you, your majesty."

"How did you do this in one week?" Hoseok asks him.

"Well, first I decided my fabric choices. The material has to be comfortable and look presentable. Then I went to the photo to measure and put everything together. Then came the details of which I took the time to make myself and carefully molded them with the outfit. I finished it just before you came in..." Jimin smiles. "Would you mind to try it on? If the size isn't right or you want something changed I can do that."

Hoseok shakes his head. "It's beautiful like this. Where can I try it on?"

Jimin looks around, rubbing the back of his neck. "S-sorry... I just make clothes but I don't have a little corner..."

Hoseok simply gives him a soft smile. "Could I fit it here then? If it's no problem with you going to the other room, of course."

Jimin immediately nods. "Of course, your majesty!"

He quickly unclips one of the silver shoulder caps and unzips the side of the black-grey faded blouse, unbuttoning the night blue blazer and untying the wristbands at the bottom of the sleeves.

"The order is the shirt, wristbands, blazer, cape, and the jeans. It's best if the pants are over the blouse, and I have some black boots over here..." Jimin mumbles, rummaging through the boxes before pulling out tall black boots to his calf, tied with outside belts and shoelaces, which are permanently stuck.

Hoseok gives him another smile. "Thank you. I appreciate your hard work."

Jimin smiles widely before bowing and leaving through the door, screaming when Yoongi stares right at him.

The black-haired grins. "So?"

"He's been neglected?!" Jimin whisper-yells at him. "But he's amazing!"

"His kingdom thought differently." Yoongi mutters. "I spend two days there and it's clear enough. I sat by his tonight. He gave in."

"He spend years like that?"

"Sadly."

Jimin looks back at a closed with a sad frown. "I almost can't believe it..."

Yoongi nods. "He believed he loved his family. That if he gave them his love, they would give him theirs. Instead, his brother blamed him that night."

Jimin's dark eyes flash a dark purple, sharp fangs baring. He takes a short, deep breath. "King Jungkook will be very pleased with him."

"I know." Yoongi smiles softly. "He's happier here."

"Who is happier?" Hoseok's voice comes from a now wide open door. He's grinning, having overheard Yoongi's words.

Yoongi's lips pull up into a smile at hearing hid voice, eyeing the prince up and down.

Jimin squeaks at the surprise voice and almost jumps into Yoongi's arms. He turns with big eyes, sparkles in his iris when he sees Hoseok smiling at him with sharp fangs bared.

Quickly bowing, Jimin stutters a bit as his face flushes red. "Y-your majesty! My apologies!"

Hoseok, chuckling lightly, lays his hand on his shoulder. "You've helped me. Call me Hoseok."

With big eyes, Jimin's lips pull into a wide smile as he nods. "What do you think about your new outfit?"

"It's very comfortable." Hoseok nods. "A perfect fit. Thank you, Jimin."

"It's been an honor!"

Yoongi nudges his shoulder, having the smaller rub the back of his neck a little.

"Your majesty," Yoongi grins, "are you ready to meet the king?"

Hoseok looks at him. "Will be understand me, or is he like my brother?"

"He has been in your position." Jimin replies. "The younger brother, left to rot. This kingdom once belonged to his brother, but he took it with no mercy." A smile. "He made us whole again. He gave us our souls and freedom."

Yoongi smiles softly. "Jungkook was a young boy who possessed the power of the sun. Its heat and warmth together with a very short temper. He wasn't very loved, his power still uncertain and uncontrolled against his brother's. His brother was loved by everyone. He got attention hungry. He showed off in every possible way and left Jungkook to rot in his own darker shadow."

"Not for long though." Jimin smiles. "Because he soon accepted his fate as a king and destroyed everything that his brother loved. He killed his family for his own happiness. As far as we know as citizens, we're happy, and so is he."

Hoseok smiles. "I'm glad. Then I'm ready to meet him."

They leave the shop, but before Jimin goes back inside, Hoseok turns to ask a question.

"Say, Jimin?"

"Yes?"

"On my island... We are animals. Is there anything I should know about your king before I ask him about his race?"

Jimin smiles. "We have no race. We are a community of different people. Humans, hybrids, dragons, elves, and many others. Our king is a phoenix."

Hoseok nods. "And you are? If I'm allowed to ask of course."

"But of course, your majesty. I'm a dragon." Jimin says smiling. "I'm still a teenager so... I hope I'll grow soon."

Thanking him, Hoseok and Yoongi push forth to the castle. The building almost feels like home. It's familiar and yet he hates it for what he has experienced back home.

With a knock on the big wooden door of which a bright flame has been engraved, it opens, revealing a maid dressed in fiery colors.

She gasps at the sight, her eyes almost shining.

"Your majesty! You came!"

"Does everyone know who I am?" Hoseok whispers to Yoongi, who shakes his head.

"Everyone but the king."

"Come in, come in!" The maid says, quickly stepping aside for them.

Once inside, everything screams phoenix. Its fiery and free, with multiple darker colors in contrast.

Going up the first set of stairs, Hoseok can hear a sharp, strong voice roam through the halls, with big strong steps.

"If you got me another woman who is just hungry for my kingdom than send her away."

The steps are going further away. Yoongi nudges Hoseok to come with. Following, Hoseok's eyes follow every detail in every painting that hangs. It looks beautiful, the signature being a bird in the shape of a J.

They come closer to a room, of which the door is open and maids are standing inside.

Many different kinds. Some are dressed in red, others in orange, some in yellow, and some in black. Some of them are a mix of their color and black.

Standing outside of the door, the maids bow to them.

Inside the room is a man with black hair, red highlights fading in the orange like fire. He wears a similar outfit to Hoseok. Royal and it shows, even with his back turned to them.

"I'm serious. I hate women like that. If this girl comes even close to the word money I will burn her to ashes and spread her over the harvest."

Smirking, Hoseok decides to speak up. "What makes you assume that I am a woman?"

The sudden voice has the king turning in a second, his cold red eyes staring at him. Just like Hoseok, he has black eyes, a gradient of fire within his red eyes.

He observes Hoseok. Head to toe, his eyes observe every detail in his outfit, his posture, his face.

"And who might you be?"

"I presume the person that no one has told you about." Hoseok shrugs. "Than I'm here to introduce myself."

Cocking his head, the king nods, allowing him to continue.

Hoseok steps inside, having Yoongi's eyes widen at the bold move. But Hoseok continues until he's in front of the king, noticing his rising smirk.

"I'm this close to executing you."

"Will you execute a neglected prince?"

Jungkook's eyes widen, his face dropping in complete shock. No way that someone knows what it's been like. No way that someone like Hoseok has been neglected and left.

"You're lying."

"Would I be here if I was?"

Silently, Jungkook shakes his head. "But..."

"I don't look like it. I know." Hoseok chuckles. "So let me introduce myself to you, my king."

His title rolling of Hoseok's tongue makes Jungkook shiver. That adding with Hoseok kneeling right in front of him.

"My name is Hoseok. I used to be the youngest prince of the Kim family, a few miles from here on another island. I've come because Yoongi told me the king knew my emotions and my situations. I couldn't help but slip into the temptation to meet you."

Jungkook looks down at him, observing him one more time before a smile pulls at his lips.

"If this is true than there is no need to bow for me." He says. "You certainly exceeded my expectations for a visitor of high class."

"Is that what they told you?"

"Vaguely, yes."

Hoseok chuckles, getting up from his knee before smiling at the king. "You will never be alone again."

"We're here for more than a chat you dummy." Yoongi snarls at him.

Hoseok turns with angry eyes, glaring ice at him. "Don't call me that." He growls, his ears pushing back, his tail flicking in annoyance.

Gulping, Yoongi bows slightly. "My apologies..." He mutters. "We're here for an arrangement. Your highness, if you would allow me?"

Jungkook nods.

Yoongi steps inside, reaching into his jacket to get out a small box. "Your highness, you were looking for a partner to rule with. Someone who could understand your past and understand you. I have searched as you requested."

"The meaning of your convincing words were to get me into marriage?" Hoseok growls. "What a pathetic reason."

Jungkook nods at Yoongi. "I am still looking, yes."

"His majesty has experienced the neglecting and hurting as you have. I will give you both to think about it. But this is the best I can do for you, your highness." Yoongi says, laying the box on the small table in the room.

With a bow, he leaves the room and shuts the door, leaving both the royals together and alone.

°•●•°

Hours pass by of the two royals talking. They've discussed their pasts, their powers, duties, goals, and much more.

Jungkook has to admit that Hoseok has his charms. His warm smile can be misleading. Say one wrong word and he will have you drowning in your shadow.

Hoseok is beautiful from head to toe, including the ears and tail. He's kind and respectful with a hint of danger.

He knows Hoseok has went through his struggles. Through his pain and hatred.

The warmth in his body has grown for the wolf. How he purrs whenever he blushes, how he sways his tail lazily with every laugh. Still he is well-mannered and listens very closely.

He pays him the attention he wants, whilst also having fun himself
He's a close listener and someone who can comfort Jungkook easily.

Looking at the turquoise box that Yoongi left, Jungkook bites his lip. He was right when he said that Hoseok was the closest he could get.

But Hoseok is perfect.

"King Jungkook?"

"How would you feel about ruling this kingdom with me?" Jungkook asks. "To be loved. To be seen. To be heard."

Hoseok follows his gaze to the box. Would he be a king. But would he be a good one?

Doubts start playing his mind, his heart pounding. His ears tilt back, which already informs Jungkook about his uncertainties.

"You'll be fine. I'm here with you and I will never leave you alone. Your flaws make you perfect and I would want nothing more but to have you next to me on my throne, your highness."

Hoseok looks at him with a soft smile. "Thank you, but I'm still quite uncertain." He says. "What if I don't do well? What if I make any wrong decisions? I haven't been trained for kingsmanship like my brother has."

"We all make mistakes and we are here to learn from them. Knowing you make them will only make us happier." Jungkook smiles at him.

He gets up from his chair and walks over to grab the small box and opens it to reveal a golden ring with a ruby in a flaming frame. He returns to the prince and kneels down, noticing the heavy blush that spreads on Hoseok's cheeks.

"So I ask you, prince Hoseok. Will you marry me?"

With a smile, Hoseok stares at the warm fire within Jungkook's eyes. He grabs his hands and nods softly.

Standing back up, Jungkook takes the ring from the cushion and slides it on Hoseok's finger. It's a little too big, but that can always be fixed.

With a smile, Jungkook tilts Hoseok's head up, gently pressing their lips together. Hoseok feels his cheeks redden, giving in to Jungkook's warmth, for a moment feeling his body shiver in heat.

Jungkook grabs Hoseok's hands tightly at the cold rush over his back. But he's not letting go.

The gem glimmers in the moonlight around Hoseok's finger, his heart melting when he looks into Jungkook's big doe eyes filled with kindness.

"So... I guess I'm your husband now." Hoseok says softly when they part, his cheeks still red from the kiss.

It's clear he's a little embarrassed. His ears are tilted to the side, the tip of his bushy tail flicking left and right, his hands resting in his lap.

Jungkook nods with a smile. "You are. And I'm yours. Lets have the wedding as soon as possible and let the entire kingdom know who you are now."

Hoseok looks at him with a wide smile, the heart-shape almost melting Jungkook.

And outside, Yoongi happily nods to the other staff, who all silently sigh out in relief and victory.

They had finally made whole.

It took only a week for preparations before Hoseok and Jungkook had their marriage. To say everyone was happy was an understatement.

Yoongi stayed with Jimin for a while to help around the shop and to watch the dragon grow, whilst also helping himself to some money.

And Seokjin? He's still in his kingdom, but things have not been the same since Hoseok left.

He hasn't been as happy anymore. His bright exterior has dimmed down to sadness for what he has done. Realization hit him, and it hit him hard.

And now whenever he looks into the mirror at his own reflection, he sees that better version of him. Who he is supposed to be.

There has been a man walking around recently. He doesn't know him, but his eyes gleam with interest at his despair.

But that would be a story for another time...

[=|THE END|=]

Questions of the Chapter:

Why did Hoseok start seeing his reflection like that?

What had Hoseok lose control of himself that night?

What kind of power possessed Jungkook's brother?

Who was Jungkook's brother?

Who are the people in Jungkook's kingdom and why are they there?
