Chapter 8
Hey there! My name is Timothy, and I am a Monster Hunter. Now, you may be wondering how I am talking to you. You see, I specialize in Breaking the Fourth Wall. You know, like Deadpool. Not that I have seen the movie, I am sadly a year too young and none of the older people want to take me, so yeah, my life sucks that way.
Anyways, let me explain Monster Hunters to you. We are, as of the past twenty years, the group that stops war and havoc. In the past, we were the people who slaughtered monsters and other mythical beings. So, whenever the creatures fight among themselves, we are always there to stop them and keep normal humans out of the mythical world.
So, now that you understand what we are and a bit of our past, let us get back to the meeting we are holding.
"Timothy, what do you think about the Demons?"
"Oh, well, the Demons deserve to go to hell." I said sarcastically.
"Timothy, they are already from Hell." Garroth said.
Garroth has white hair and pale skin with brown eyes. He was wearing a gray jacket over his black shirt, and as usual, he was wearing the key necklace around his neck. He is a very serious person, and basically my older brother. Garroth is the only one that knows how to evade my sarcasm, much to my disappointment.
Garroth frowned at me. "Anything else?" came a woman's voice.
I looked over to see Samantha looking at the smaller group. She was putting her messy, wet hair into a bun. I eyed the wounds she had gotten from stopping werewolves. Her husband was busy applying bandages to himself, while eyeing her wounds as well, probably worried. Their son was at home, saying he could not come because of his younger sister's state. She was so lucky to be the Special One. At least, that is what I call them.
They only come once a century, and they always have the power to defeat...uh, defeat...oh god damn it!
"Hey, Samantha."
"What is it Timothy?"
"What is the power of the Special One again?"
"They have the power to defeat the newly crowned ruler of a specific creature. The creature varies between the Powered children."
Yeah, that's right. I had completely forgotten about that. The thing is that these children are born with a ton of magic, so much that they could defeat the most powerful of a certain species. The last one born had the ability to defeat the Werewolf King. The Werewolves have been sour ever since.
Besides that though, all Monsters usually dislike us. Except for angels, mostly. Certain Angel groups don't hate us as much, but then again, the majority do. In all honesty, humans are a very looked down species. I mean, just because we may not have as much power as other creatures have, doesn't mean we aren't as good as other creatures.
But that's besides the point. The point is that there is a very powerful Hunter born, and in need of surveillance. That is when I got the best idea in the world. I snapped my fingers, drawing everyone's attention. "I have an idea!"
"Oh great." someone groaned. "We are all screwed."
I turned to them and smirked. "Like you could do better, Darrin."
Darrin sighed. "I could do better, better than a worthless orphan who talks to himself and practically lives off of sarcasm."
It is true, I am in fact an orphan. I do not know who or what my parents were. I know at least one was human, but the other...
"I want to hear this idea he has." Andrew said, defending me. "He isn't worthless at all, Darrin."
I sighed. "My idea is to have myself and another person go and keep an eye on her at the High school. Of course, it'd have to be someone else who exhibits similar powers to a specific creature."
"That may not work, Timothy." Garroth said, looking at me. "Leyna, the Beta of the local pack saw you."
"So? Alter her memory a bit, anything to keep the girl safe. Besides, I may or may not have scared the ever loving shit out of her, so it would probably be best to wipe her memory even if we weren't doing this."
Now, you may be wondering how we can do this. Garroth specializes in minds. He knows every part of them and how they function, and let me tell you that his ability that every Hunter in our group has is the ability to basically mess around with brains. He is an expert at placing in false memories and wiping away others. He knows how to root out information by going inside the mind, and if the mind is weak enough, he can make it do something, even though it is really just to walk about five feet forward. But hey, he is working on it!
Garroth sighed. "Of course, I will get right on it. Until then, decide who else shall accompany you."
Samantha sighed. "Garroth..."
Garroth turned around from the door way. "What?"
"You have abilities similar to that of a Wizard or Warlock."
Garroth's shoulders sagged. "Of course I do."
"It is decided then!" I exclaimed, clapping my hands together. "We shall start school in the morning! Of course, once you wipe her memory. get to it, Garroth!"
Garroth gave his lopsided grin and headed out. I grinned at everyone. "Let's do this!"
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Can we not do this?" I said, ducking behind a tree.
Garroth laughed. "Come on you big wuss. What is there to be scared of?"
"Supernatural Beings who can sniff us out like the plague?"
"Well, you say you are a Rogue Werewolf, and I am a Warlock. Hopefully we can worm our way into Andrea's social group before she comes back tomorrow."
I shuddered. "This, people, is why I hate being a Monster Hunter."
"Did you say something?" Garroth asked, turning towards me.
Shit. "No, sorry." I said, shaking my head 'no'
Garroth turned his attention back to the walk towards the front steps. I sighed. You see people, I sometimes speak out loud, hence why Darrin (god I hate him) said I spoke to myself. Usually I communicate with all you amazing...humans? Werewolves? Witches? Whatever you are, via my mind. It's like telepathy, but through you screen! Or page, whatever this is written on.
Any who, I decided following Garroth would be the safest option to take. After all, blood thirsty Werewolves roam the school grounds...OOOOOoooooOOOOooooOOOOoooo...
Sorry 'bout that, I just had to. Anyways, I made it into the school. It was during a class period, so there were no scary supernatural creations roaming the halls. I breathed a sigh of relief as I stopped clutching Garroth. I sped ahead of him and ran to the Principals office. When he saw us, he smiled.
"You must be Timothy Claw and Garroth Spell."
I chuckled in my head. Fake names, super obvious. Though, they never seemed to suspect that kind of stuff. (If you are a supernatural being, please do not take these next sentences seriously as they are only aimed at the beings at this school) Supernatural Beings are such idiots. Like seriously, why have the most obvious last names in the whole world? But seriously! McCloud! McCloud! And Angel, named McCloud! My god, such bad names!
I stopped when I noticed Garroth giving me an odd look, and the Principal was blinking, clearly weirded out.
I cleared my throat. "Sorry, just a headache."
The principal eyed Garroth. "He does this sometimes. I think it is something about seeing ghosts." He said, lying, obviously.'
I know all you lovelies are not ghosts! At least, I hope you aren't. You aren't, right? If you were, that'd be cool, I guess.
Anyways, the Principal told us about all the creatures here and asked us some questions about our kind. I was questioned about what Pack I was in, and I said I was a Rogue. He was of course hesitant at first, but he then relaxed. Rogues always make people worried, and I immediately realized what may happen. If there was a Werewolf in their group...I shuddered.
Soon, a boy, named Mitchel walked in. I knew all about this Mitchel kid. The Principals son and the next Head Angel up in who knows where Angels are. He examined the two of us before motioning us to join him to one of the classrooms.
When we got into the classroom, I could see Frankenstein at the head of the classroom. I grinned. My favorite Monster. Ever. best story ever to be written. Mitchel led us to the head of the classroom, where Frankenstein had us introduce ourselves. I looked at all the Supernatural beings and felt my Hunter Power, Magics, whatever itching to come out.
After introducing ourselves and being given seats, I found myself between Troy and Fai. Troy kept examining his fangs in the little mirror he had with him, while Fai kept looking at me and winking at me. Man, I never thought a Fairy would have the hots for me.
But that is besides the point. I was still fangirling over the fact that Frankenstein was my teacher! I squealed, in my head of course, and listened to the monster trivia. I knew all this stuff already. I had learned and memorized it when I was seven.
As Frank spoke about the history of ghosts, Ghostbusters popped into my mind. I chuckled at Mr. Statepuff, the big giant Marshmallow Man. Troy ended up looking at me.
"Timothy? No, I'll call you Tim. What are you laughing at?"
"A joke, something my mother told me. It is about Ghosts."
"What is the joke?"
Oh crap. I have to think of one quickly. "Why did the Ghost cross the Haunted Hallway?"
Troy raised an eyebrow. "To get to the Haunted Bedroom!" I said, sounding as enthralled as possible.
"That is the lamest joke ever been told." He said.
"Yes, well, it was the joke I loved as a kid, so don't make fun of me, alright?"
Troy scoffed, then burst into laughter. I expected him to get laughed at, but realized class had been stopped, for whatever reason.
I'll admit, the only school I'd ever been to was for training to become a Monster Hunter. I had never been to an actual Human School, nor a Monster school. I guess from what I watched i movies, it is different than what I'd expect it to be.
When the bell rang, I stood up, but Troy caught my shoulder. "My crew and I are going to be having frozen yogurt after school, wanna join? You can invite that other friend of yours, Garroth, right?"
I said yes, and then went to go tell Garroth. "That's great!" He said once we were alone.
"Yes, it is." I replied. "I think we should check in with HQ right now."
"Now?" Garroth said, raising an eyebrow.
I nodded. "Let's head out, we can come back in last hour."
Garroth and I ran over to the fence, and jumped out, and ran for the hills, quite literally. I grinned. Being a Monster Hunter was the best thing in the world.

Hey! I decided to upload a second chapter today because I typed this one up and was excited to get it out! What do you think of Timothy? I hope he was sarcastic enough as I wanted him to be and maybe even gave you a little chuckle, even if it was internal.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this MUCH longer chapter. I was super excited to type this, and even though it was as long as most chapters were, I wanted to keep writing.
So, one chapter earlier today, and a longer chapter later! Enjoy!
