Chapter 7

"When do you think they will be back?" Michal asked, looking at Leyna.

"I do not know, but hopefully soon." Leyna replied, staring at the huge stack of papers Michal had to fill out.

Michal grabbed the top sheet and skimmed it. He grimaced, and then showed it to her. It was about a pack of Rogues attacking another pack all the way down in Texas. Apparently the Monster Hunters were getting ready to intervene.

Leyna wasn't the biggest fan of Monster Hunters. But then again, who was? In the olden days, they'd hunt down any monster they could find. If you were a mystical being, you'd have to watch out, or they might very well have killed you. If you were rumored to be a monster, boom! Dead. It was horrifying, but something they did do in the old days. Just like how woman who were rumored to be witches would be drowned. If the body sank, she was a normal human. If it floated, she was a witch. Honestly, humans were a fucked up race.

Leyna sighed and set the paper back on his desk. "Sign it." she demanded.

Michal groaned. "Leyna, why do humans always feel the need to intervene on our personal affairs? We werewolves had it under control."

Leyna shook her head. "It would have been stopped if we did, right?

Michal sighed. "Why do you always defend them?"

"I don't I merely say that to help you understand. I hate them as much as you do, Michal."

Michal nodded, then places the tip of his pen on the line. The pen moved in the beautiful and magnificent way it did whenever Michal wrote his signature.

Leyna looked up. She sighed before standing up. "I'm going to go sniff them out, alright? Contact me if you need anything."

Michal grunted, so Leyna left. As she made her way down the stairs and to the front door, she smelt something. Something out of the orddinary. She whipped around, reading the karate chop whoever it was. When her eyes landed on the person, she saw Carmilla standing there. Carmilla held her hands up in surrendering.

Carmilla had red hair, almost a dark pink. Her eyes were hazel, and her skin was paler. She was wearing a black tank top with blue jeans and black hightops.

"Sorry, Leyna. I came here to talk to Michal about the treaty."

"Treaty?" Leyna growled "What treaty?"

"One between Wizards and Werewolves."

Leyna sighed. She took her outstretched hand away from Carmilla's neck. Carmilla smirked. "Did the Alpha not tell his Beta?"

Leyna clenched her fists. "Oh, I guess not...maybe he doesn't trust you. Guess he'll want a new Be-"

Leyna punched Carmilla in the gut, causing her to fall over. She rubbed her fists and sighed. She turned around and stormed out of the house. She had to go find the others, that was her job at the moment.

She shifted into her wolf and sprinted towards the highschool. Before she could make it, however, a man appeared in front of her. In his hand he held a pair of nunchucks, and he was looking down at Leyna with a glint of evil in his eyes.

His hair was almost a gray color, and his eyes were a yellowish color. He had scars on his left cheek, as if someone had scratched him. He had on a baseball cap and had tan skin. He wore a brown short sleeved jacket that showed his chest and stomach. He had on dark pants and wore black combat boots.

"Werewolf." He said, his voice gruff and angry.

Leyna whimpered, then got in a fighting stance. The man chuckled, and then grinned sarcastically at her. "I hope you don't actually intend to fight me!" He said, his voice that of someone who clearly had been joking.

His voice wasn't deep or gruff, but more smooth and sarcastic. In fact, every word he seemed to speak oozed with sarcasm, even when it was obvious he was not joking.

"Can you shift into your human form? I'd rather explain things to a human and not a wolf."

Leyna whined, and the man's eyes widened. "Right, clothes."

He turned around and a brown light engulfed his hands. He whipped around and threw a man's shirt and underwear at her. She sighed and picked them up in her mouth and went to go change into them behind and tree.

When she shifted back and put the clothes on her, she walked back out to meet him. When he saw her his eyes widended. "You're a girl?"

Leyna scoffed. "'You're a girl?'" She mocked.

The boy scowled. "You are the Beta of the local pack, yes?"

Leyna frowned. "How do you know that?"

"That is something you do not need to know, Leyna." The boy said, pulling the nunchucks tightly.

"How do you know my name?"

"Refer to my previous statement."

Leyna growled. "I have to go find some friends, hope to never see you again."

The boy laughed. "I told you she'd be like this." He said to no one in particular.

"What are you - who are you talking to?"

The boy turned towards her. "Best go find your friends."

"Why? Did something happen to them?"

The boy chuckled. "No, they are fine. At least, the last time I checked they were."

Leyna felt her legs wobble. She shifted into a wolf and ran past the boy, who was trying to yell something at her.

Once Leyna picked up on their scent, she followed it, making sure to stay out of sight of the humans.

Soon, she found herself in front of a two story house. She looked around, trying to find a way inside. Before she could, she heard someone walk up to her. She whipped around to see a boy standing there.

"You are a Werewolf, right?"

Leyna growled. "I'll take that as a yes." He murmered. "Follow me, your friends are inside."

Leyna followed cautiously into the house. When she got inside the boy tossed a pile of clothes at her and told her where the bathroom was.

Once she got changed into the clothing, the boy led her upstairs and pointed to two rooms and told her to wake them and take them home.

Leyna was about to ask the boy how they had gotten here, but he vanished into room and shut the door behind him.

Sighing, Leyna went to go get her friends.

There is that chapter. I hope you enjoyed it. Next chapter will probably be in the view of either Aristides or the boy Leyna met. I haven't decided yet.

Also, if you haven't reread the precious chapter, then I recommend reading it again because I fixed it to be the actual length it was supposed to be. I also explained what happened, so go check it out if you haven't yet.

Also, thanks for all the reads! Love you all <3
