Chapter 17

Mitchel pulled back on the bow, aiming at the target. He closed his eyes, prepping himself to shoot. He then focused his attention back at Darrin, who was yapping at all of them to wait for his signal.

Out of all the ones who were planning on using weapons, only two chose bows. Mitchel and Fai. Fai could have easily used her magic wand or whatever she used instead, but she insisted on using a bow.

Mitchel's younger brother, Nico, said he would rather use a gun. He was in a different area practicing how to shoot a gun with Estal and Andrew. Michal, Leyna, Zoe, and Troy were using hand to hand combat. They could use brass knuckles if they really wanted to, but none of them really did. Samantha was teaching them, and she said the knuckles could really help them.

Garroth was with Charlotte, who was the only one using magic. Garroth wasn't a magic user like Charlotte, but his power closely resembled it, so he was the best choice to teach her a bit more.

And lastly, Timothy was with Andrea, who was learning how to use a sword.

Aristide said he didn't know what to fight with yet, but he was observing them all, seeing which would be best suited to his needs.

Mitchel focused back onto Darrin, who was telling them still to wait.

"It is best to always make sure your shot is lined up. So check multiple times to-"

"Darrin! You really think during a battle they will have time to stand for five minutes staring at the target?" Timothy called as he was showing Andrea basic blocking techniques. Mitchel could hear Andrea's giggle as Timothy said this, and he couldn't help it when his lips curled into a smile.

Darrin grumbled something, and then told them to shoot. Mitchel let go of the arrow and strong, and watched it hit right in the bullseye. Fair grumbled about how she was a terrible shot, and Mitchel turned to see her arrow hadn't even hit the target. Darrin clapped Mitchel on the back. "Great shot! Angels always seem to be built for ranged weapons."

Mitchel nodded as he grabbed another arrow and aimed. He let go and watched the arrow he just shot split the first arrow down the middle. He grinned and then turned to look at Darrin, hoping to get a bit of praise. However, Darrin was infatuated with Fai and helping her archery out, so Mitchel told him he was going to take a break and walked over towards Andrea, who was struggling with her wooden sword.

"Are you sure your weapon is a sword?" Timothy asked, as he watched her fall on the ground again.

"It feels right in my hand, but I keep wanting to use my other hand to wield it as well."

Mitchel walked over to her and took the sword from her. He held it in his dominate hand and swung it around a bit. He handed it back to Andrea. "It isn't the sword that is wrong, it is your arms. You keep wanting to wield it with two hands? Then you have a two handed weapon."

Andrea sighed. "A two handed weapon? That could be any number of things." she said, clearly starting to get annoyed.

"Hey, why don't we take a break? All of us. We have been working for a while today, and besides, I can't keep working with Darrin practically on my back all the time."

Andrea smiled at his words. "Alright, I guess we could."

Once everyone was sitting upstairs in the living room, Samantha brought in the dinner she had been making beforehand. She set it on the table and everyone dug in, each starving.

Mitchel took a bite of the steak and then looked at Andrea, who was slowly munching on the piece of bread in her hand. Mitchel set his plate down and scooted closer to her. "Is something up?" He asked, leaning down towards her.

Andrea sighed. "I am just thinking about what weapon I could wield. I have no idea, nothing seems right."

"Maybe you are a gun wielder." Estal said as he gulped down some more salad.

"No, it feels better to use my hands in a movement, like a handheld weapon that is close range, not farther ranged."

"I'd say magic perhaps, but most of it is just incantations." Charlotte said, munching on her food.

"Maybe you are more hand to hand combat." Leyna said, as she brought her fists up, pretending to box. "It uses two hands and is close ranged."

Andrea shook her head. "I mean both of them moving in a single motion at the same time. Like a double handed battle ax or something."

"Maybe that is it!" Timothy exclaimed.

Andrea chuckled. "I doubt it, Timothy."

"Well, we all learn what our weapons are when we are ready." Samantha said, smiling at her daughter.

Andrea sighed, turning back to her food. Mitchel put his arm around her. "It'll be alright." he said, trying to cheer her up.

Andrea said nothing as she nibble on the piece of bread. She closed her eyes, until her breathing became slow and soft. Mitchel gently lifted her head up and stood up. He grabbed one of the pillows and lay her head on it. Samantha came back with a blanket and laid it over her.

Mitchel smiled at her. He bent down towards her. "I love you, Andrea." he whispered before kissing her forehead.

Hey there! So I had to change this authors note because after this chapter, I am rewriting every chapter I had originally posted. Reason being because I didn't like the direction the story went in and it didn't seem that entertaining.

So if you are one of the original viewers and you have yet to reread the chapters, I'd recommend doing that.

Any how, that's all I needed to say, other than sorry for not updating in a while. I am rewriting all the chapters and so far I am drawing a blank, but fear not, I will have another chapter up soon.

Any ways, thanks so much for reading my story! It means a lot to me.

-Paige
