Chapter 15

Estal pulled tightly on his black gloves. He sighed as he looked down from the tree at the three Monster Hunters walking around. They were in the denser part of the forest, homeland to many elven tribes. Estal sighed as he looked at some of the other trees, seeing Elven warriors watching them as well.

It was tough being the Prince of Elves. Estal had had to learn everything there was to leading a whole species. Sure, not every elf was his subject, but he still had many, and they all depended on him keeping them safe. Even if that meant killing his own friends.

Estal sighed as he grabbed the sack that was around his shoulders. He pulled out the silver pistol he always kept in there. He loaded in the ammo and then turned the safety off. he placed it in the holster and then lept across the branches.

Soon, the group stopped. Estal froze as he watched them. He moved his head forward as he attempted to listen to them. He couldn't hear in the beginning, but then he could listen clearly.

"I don't know...I think we pissed the Supernaturals off enough." Timothy said, an unusually serious tone and look adorning him.

Corey nodded before their eyes glazed over. Garroth turned to the rock they stood in front of and chanted something. The rock cracked before opening up. The trio walked inside, leaving the door open.

Estal hopped down after a few minutes and grabbed the gun out of the holster. He moved to the door, and pressed his back against the cold rock. He held the gun up near his face and then jumped to the front, holding the gun out, ready to shoot if necessary.

He didn't see anyone, so he made his way inside. A bat flew down from the trees and landed on the grown. It grew into Troy, and he sighed, smoothing his clothes out. Mitchel landed on the ground, Zoe and Aristide in his arms. Thankfully Angels had scary strength, or they all would have had to travel by tree.

Michal and Leyna arrived, with Charlotte and Fai on their backs. They shifted back into their human forms, and the group made their way down into the lair.

Suddenly, they came to an iron door. Estal carefully pulled down on the handle, and opened the door. A round table sat in the center of the room. A light shone on it, but the rest of the room was pitch black. Estal made his way in, his finger ready to shoot if necessary.

"You are hilarious, sneaking like that." Came Timothy's voice.

They whipped their heads to the table, where Timothy had appeared from the darkness. In his hand he held a Capri Sun, which only made him look less threatening. He sucked on the straw, until the annoying noise came, showing he had run out of juice. He let go of the suction, causing a popping noise to come out if his open mouth.

"Did you know we were following you?" Fai asked, moving towards him.

"Of course, that was the plan. Besides, we can feel the power radiating off of you. Did they never teach you how to hide your power?"

Estal gritted his teeth, annoyance setting in. "Why'd you come to our school?" He asked, trying to keep his calm composure.

Timothy seemed to see right through it. He gave a wicked smile before answering. "To keep an eye on Andrea. Also, you aren't fooling anyone. I'd suggest getting more lessons from Daddy."

Estal looked away, determined to be the better man. "Timothy, what do you want with us."

Timothy smirked. "It is not me that wanted you here."

Estal frowned. Before he could ask who, Andrea walked out of the shadows. She gave them a small smile. Mitchel sighed. "You knew, huh?"

Andrea nodded, her cheeks starting to get peppered with pink. "I...I uh...wanted you guys to come here."

"Why?" Leyna asked, crossing her arms angrily.

Mitchel turned towards her and gave her a death glare. Leyna's eyes widened, and Estal realized that Mitchel might have a thing for her. Mitchel looked back up at her and gave her a grin, which she gave a small smile to and continued.

"There is something..." she turned towards Timothy, who nodded. She then turned back to them, her face showing how nervous she was. "...going on with the world."

"As your group has made abundantly clear." Charlotte said, giving Timothy an evil look.

"The, uh...

"It's okay Andrea." came a soothing voice. "Just tell them."

A young man walked out of the shadows. He had short brown hair, tan skin, and purple eyes. He had on thick, black glasses and a white scarf was wrapped around his neck. Under the scarf he had a dark green jacket on with dark blue jeans and brown boots that went halfway up his calves. Timothy scoffed. "Come now, Darrin. She is doing fine, just stop pestering her. It is tough to talk to Supernatural Beings once they know you are a Monster Hunter."

Darrin glared at Timothy. "Yeah, and you'd know."

"What is that supposed to mean?'

"I think you know perfectly well, half blood."

Timothy's sword appeared in his hand. As soon as his sword appeared, a whip appeared in Darrin's hand. Before the two could stop fighting, Timothy was lifted into the air, and Darrin was wrapped up in chains. Both Garroth and Corey walked out of the shadows. Corey sighed. "Children, calm yourselves." He tugged on the chain, making it release Darrin. Garroth dropped his hand, causing Timothy to fall down with it.

Andrea sighed, then walked over to them. "Sorry, it is like this all the time around here."

"Well, at least it isn't too deadly." Mitchel said, putting his hand on her shoulder.

Andrea nodded, gently pushing his hand off. She motioned for them to follow her as she moved into one of the corners. She pulled out a flashlight and turned it on. A door was in this corner, and she opened it, gesturing for them to go inside.

When they made it inside, Estal could tell that some of them lived here. They had come into a living room with an adjacent kitchen. There was an open door, showing off a half bath, and a closed one, presumably a closet. Samantha was in the kitchen, making food, while Andrew was in the living room, watching a sports game.

"Hey, kids. How are you doing?" Samantha asked, briefly looking up from what she was doing.

"I just needed to bring them to a quieter place." Andrea said, moving towards a staricase that led deeper into the ground.

Andrew nodded. "No funny business, okay?'

Andrea's face flushed red before she hurried down the stairs. Zoe laughed. "Like we'd do anything like that, Mr Marks."

"Call me Andrew, Zoe."

"You remembered my name."

"I know all of your names. Andrea has told me a lot about you." He said, winking at them. "Some a bit more than others, but that is not important."

As they worked their way downstairs, Estal couldn't help but wonder what Andrew meant by that last remark. Who would Andrea talk about? Surely not him. He hadn't really spoken to her a lot, but still.

Soon, they met Andrea who was standing shyly in front of a door. "It is messy, but that it because I am just moving in. Ignore the other rooms, they belong to the other boys upstairs."

"Are you the only girl here?" Fai asked, examining the basement.

"Yes, the youngest girl. My mother and I are the only girls here, but it is fine. Timothy and Garroth have basically become brothers to me, and Darrin is trying to become something more, but..." Estal noted how she said the last part a bit more quietly. He saw that Mitchel had heard it, and momentary panic lit up his face.

Andrea opened the door, showing off a windowless room. The walls were completely white, and the only things in the room besides boxes was a bed and dresser. The bed didn't even have real sheets on it, it just had a single blanket on it. "I moved in just yesterday night, so I haven't had time to clean up."

"What about your other house?"

"We were just renting it until I got my powers." Sadness was evident in her voice, but she didn't look sad. Except for her eyes, which gleamed with the sadness that penetrated her voice.

Andrea sat on the bed. Mitchel and Aristide sat on each side of her. Andrea said they could sit on the boxes, so that is what they all did. Estal sat down, then looked up at Andrea. He noticed Mitchel put his hand on hers, and either she didn't notice or didn't care, because she didn't move her hand. She exhaled, then began explaining everything to them.

"You all know about the Demons, right?"

"Know about them? Of course we do." Troy said, scrunching his nose up in disgust.

"Well, they are planning to invade the Human world."

The room fell silent. Estal could hardly breathe. Invade the human world? As in, kill and control humans? He knew Demons were merciless and strong, but even they didn't have enough number to pull it off.

"They could never succeed." Michal said, as if mirroring his thoughts.

"They have other beings on their side too, at least a hundred from every species."

"Even Angels?" Mitchel said, clearly surprised.

Andrea said nothing, and then bit her bottom lip. "Angels are the most abundant of the species helping them."

Mitchel fell silent. He said nothing as he stared at her. Estal looked at her. Tears brimmed her eyes. Why was she crying.

"We have to go stop them." She said, struggling not to show the mental state she was in.

"No." Mitchel said, squeezing her hand. "We can gather up everyone that is not helping them, and stop them."

Andrea's calmness broke as tears started streaming down her face. 'That is not your destiny, Mitchel."

"How do you know that?"

"I know that because it is my destiny to stop them."

"No, it is not." Aristide said. "This is a job that we, the Supernatural beings have created for ourselves, and we must stop it."

"You don't understand." Andrea sobbed. "I am the only one who can defeat them."

Mitchel shook his head before mouthing 'No'. As soon as she said that, Estal understood everything. Andrea was one of the big shot Monster Hunters, with the power to defeat royal Supernaturals. The Demons could only be stopped when the leader was killed. Andrea was the only one who could manage it.

"Andrea, do you know what happens to-" Charlotte started before being cut off by Andrea.

Andrea wailed. "I know what will happen to me, I am no idiot."

Mitchel wrapped his arms around her, and she turned to sob into his chest. the door creaked open as Timothy poked his head inside. When he saw Andrea crying, he bit his lip.

"What'll happen?" Leyna asked, ignoring Timothy.

"She will die when she kills the Demon King. He is one of the most powerful beings, and she will use up her life force to end him." Garroth said as he threw open the door.

"You really are a blunt person, huh?" Mitchel said, his voice sour and cold.

Garroth shrugged. "She has known that since the day I met her. It isn't anything new to her."

Mitchel put his arms tighter around her and started sniffling as he bent down to the crook of her neck. Soon, he was sobbing along with Andrea. Estal felt a tear roll down his cheek. The Monster Hunters would sacrifice their lives just so others can keep on living, much like an Elven Prince would do. He sighed as he wiped his face with his sleeve. Troy stood up.

"I can not except the fact that you will die."

Andrea lifted her head to look at him. Her eyes were red and swollen, and dried salty water was on her face. tears kept coming as she looked at him. "It is  not negotiable." She said before bending back down into Mitchel's chest.

"We shall go with you, and help defeat him." Estal said, standing up with Troy.

The others murmured in agreement before standing up as well. Andrea watched them all stand up. Aristide stood up, and then looked at Mitchel. Mitchel stood up as well, bringing Andrea to stand up as well. "We will always be at your side, Andrea." He said, kissing her forehead.

Andrea gave them all a small smile before Timothy busted into the room. "Let's start your training then! You'll all stay here, in our base, until it is time to attack, alright?"

Estal nodded. he knew they had all made the right choice.

****

What did you think of the chapter? I think it is one of the more emotional chapters, simply because of learning what will happen to Andrea.

Also, if you can, give me idea's on weapons for the different characters. It sometimes gets hard to think of all of them. Naturally a few of them will use their magic that they have, but stll, try to give me some suggestions.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed the book! It'd be nice if you could
