Chapter 1

Andrea looked up at the looming building. It looked too fancy for a girl such as herself, but she still had to go in.

Students walked past her and into the building. She could feel her hairs standing on end. Was she nervous? Scared? She couldn't tell.

She was about to enter when she swore she heard a low growl. She whipped her head to see who said it, but nothing was there except what looked like a very sophisticated, pale boy and a scruffy looking guy in a sports uniform.

The scruffy boy was arguing with the pale boy when she first go here, but now they were both staring at her.

Andrea felt her face flush red as she hurried inside. As she made her way through the front doors and to the Principals office, she could hear whispers.

Normally, one would not be too worried. Yet, Andrea still felt fear coursing through her veins, making her shudder. When she finally made it to the Principals office, she knocked gently on the door.

"Come in." Came a voice from the other side.

Andrea walked carefully inside and was greeted with a smiling face. The man in front of her was at least in his late thirties, but he didn't look as if he were about to break a hip. His hair was peppered with black, but it was a light brown. His skin was tan and looked as soft as a cloud. His eyes were green and looked her over, as if judging her life choices.

She sat down in the chair in front of his desk, and he leaned toward, holding out his hand. "I'm Principal McCloud, but you probably already knew that." Andrea nodded, and he continued. "You are Andrea Marks, correct?"

"Yes, I am sir." Andrea said. She then bit her tongue, remembering her southern scent was will there. She figured most students here would think it was weird, so she had been practicing for days on speaking without it.

McCloud smiled. "I like your accent. Were are you from again, dear?"

"Texas." She said weakly.

The man nodded. "Anyways, I will give you your schedule, and, here is a whistle."

Andrea raised an eyebrow. "A whistle?"

McCloud nodded. "In case you get in to trouble."

"Trouble? Sorry, but I'd don't think I will sir."

McCloud nodded. "All the same, you should keep it. Kids here aren't how they probably were in Texas, I'll give you that much."

Andrea nodded as she grabbed the whistle and hung it over her neck. She tucked it under her shirt. McCloud nodded, then handed her a slip of paper. Andrea read over it, and then looked up at him. "Where is the gym, sir?"

McCloud let out a good, hearty laugh. He sighed, "I am sorry, my dear. I forgot this is your first day on the campus. My son has practically the same schedule as you, he'll show you around. Wait here while I call him in here."

After waiting about five minutes, the door opened. Standing there was a boy about Andrea's age with salty gray hair, tan skin, and cloudy gray eyes. He didn't look a ton like his father, so he must've taken on from his mother.

"You wanted to see me father?" The boy asked, his voice thick and sweet.

"Yes, please show Ms. Marks around the school, alright?"

The boy nodded, then motioned for Andrea to come to him. "What's your name?" He asked as he led her out the door.

"Andrea, you?"

"Mitchel, only one l."

"Why's that?"

"My father forgot an l and I like to stand out from others."

Andrea nodded. Soon, she and Michel were in front of double doors. "This is the gym. You'll have time to shower, so don't worry if you smell sweaty. That is, if girls even sweat." He said sarcastically.

Andrea giggled as they walked in. She then felt eyes burning holes into her, so she stopped midway of laughter.

"Looks like Mitchel has a new Lady friend!" Someone said, causing the rest of the class to snicker.

Andrea felt her face flush red. She closed her eyes, trying to keep the tears from falling out. She felt someone place a hand on her. "Hey, don't cry." Mitchel said.

Andrea snapped her head up to look at him. How'd he know I was crying? She wondered as he turned his attention back to the class. Andrea zoned out again, ignoring the yelling and screaming between Mitchel and some guy in the class.

As she looked around, the teacher walked over to her. "Here is your gym uniform, go get changed."

Andrea looked meekly at the uniform in hand. Sighing, she turned to look around for a changing room, and eventually found it. She walked in and pulled her shirt and shorts off.

As she pulled the gym clothes on, she grimaced at how sort the shorts were. Did they want to make the boys stare? Probably. Andrea was even more disgusted at the top. Not only did the neck line show a bit of her cleavage, but it wasn't long enough, showing some of her stomach off as well.

Andrea wasn't a bad looking girl, but she didn't think she was pretty. Her darker hair was long, and she had paler skin. Her eyes were a brownish color. She was curvy, and, according to her older brother, she had big breasts and a big butt.

Andrea walked back out and took a place with the mob of students. They were doing pushups, so that's what Andrea did. As she did the pushups, she swore people were still staring. She gulped nervously, hoping no one was staring up her shorts. She hadn't worn the most adult underwear today.

When gym finally ended, Andrea wasn't even tired, unlike most of the girls. She had spent a lot of her time in Texas doing sports and running, so she had hardly broken a sweat. She still took a shower though, because she didn't want to seem too tomboyish.

When she was in her clothes she wore to school today, she checked her schedule again. She sighed when she saw it was Mathematics. She wasn't too bad at math, but that didn't mean she enjoyed it.

Mitchel led her there but he didn't say anything. In fact, the whole time his face was flushed red.

As Andrea thought about it, she realized Mitchel had been behind her as they did pushups. As soon as she realized that, he face flushed red. They probably looked like a pair of tomatoes as they made their way to math.

Andrea sat down once they got there, watching students flood in with disappointed looks on their faces. At least she knew she wasn't the only one who didn't want to be here.

When the teacher walked in, Andrea examined her. She had long red hair that was tied in a bun, and she was wearing a purple blouse with black trousers and black heels. They weren't too tall, but Andrea knew if she put those on, then she would probably break an ankle.

The teacher scanned the students, and then her eyes fell on Andrea. She smiled, and then spoke. "We have a new student today, so I am going to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. McCloud, and I am the mathematics teacher."

Mitchel grumbled. Andrea figured it was his mother, but she looked nothing like him either. Sighing, she looked down.

"What is your name, Sweetie?" Mrs. McCloud asked, smiling sweetly.

Andrea mumbled her name. The teacher cocked her head to the side. "Hmm? What'd you say?"

"Andrea Marks." She said a bit louder.

The teacher nodded, then started talking to the class. Andrea wasn't paying attention, but she was listening to the conversations bubbling around her.

"Who do you think the girl is?"

"You mean WHAT do you think she is?"

"Yeah,she isn't like us."

"They said that at the assembly, you dolt."

"Idiot."

"Asshole."

Andrea fixed her attention back to her mind. What did the mean, 'not like them'? They were human, right?

That's it for the first chapter, tell me what you guys think and if I should do POV swaps. I haven't done any yet and I'm not planning to, but if you guys want it I'll gladly provide it.

Also, give me character ideas and names, I'm terrible at names, hence why the Angel's last name is McCloud. I am so bad at them.

Thanks for reading! Like, comment, criticise, share, whatever you feel like doing!

(Also sorry about publishing it and then immediately depublishing it, I forgot to edit! Tell me if there are any mistakes though!)
