Updates

Hey there y'all. It's been a while, huh?

Well, I've been real busy. I'm taking three college classes on top of my normal high school classes, so homework has confined my life. That's the main reason why I haven't updated anything in a while.

You're probably wondering why I'm putting this on Myth High though. After all, wasn't it compete?

Yes.

So why am I putting this here?

Well, I have an update on the Myth Series. This series has gotten fairly popular (at least this book) and so I really want to finish it. But, to tell you all the honest truth, I wrote this book when I was in eighth grade. I am now a Junior in high school (11th grade) and my writing has gotten way better.

I ready my old work all the time because it helps me see how I can improve or better write a story. This story sucks. So much.

It might be good to you guys, but I honesty can't stand it.

I'm not un-publishing this series if that's the vibe you're getting. I'm just going to rewrite it.

The place I want the series to go is currently impossible with the way it's currently written. The first book has barely any exposition that is needed for the rest of the series. I was being forced to write it all in into the second book, Myth War. Now I'm going to rewrite this series. It'll be put onto this book because why not?

I'll keep the original chapters up but once the book is over I'll probably take them down and put them somewhere else. The only reason they're staying up for now is so you can still read them while this book is being rewritten.

I'm gonna plug a part of the first chapter here to get you all excited. Hopefully.

I hope you guys enjoy the new book once it comes out.

The October air burrowed into her skin, sending chills throughout her entire body. How had it been so humid only twenty minutes ago?

Andrea waved goodbye to her friend before walking up the stairs and up to the door. Her hands dig into her pocket, pulling out a key ring. The shiny key was blemished only by a blob of red on the flat part of it. She wanted to know which one was her house key, after all.

It fit perfectly into the key hole. A sigh of relief left her. Andrea didn't know why she was nervous it wouldn't work. This was her house key, after all. A rush of air conditioning blew past her, causing a shiver to run through her body. Andrea walked into her house, pulling her arms tight around herself.

The entrance room was decorated as sparsely as possible. The walls were a clean white, with a large black table resting against the wall to her right. Above it was a mirror covered in fingerprints. On the table was a few picture frames of their family with a few plants adding some color to the monotone area. Underneath her feet was a rug that used to be white but had turned gray over the decade it had been around. There were some more family photos on the walls, but mostly of ancestors Andrea had never met.

She sighed, stepping into the house. She shut the door behind her and then made her way into the living room.

Sitting on the couch was a man. His brown hair was messy. He had probably ran a hand through it multiple times throughout the day. His blue eyes were clouded with exhaustion while his mouth was set in a soft frown. The tv was playing in front of him, though he was only half paying attention. Andrea sighed before walking over to him. She pressed the back of her palm to his forehead. The man jumped at her touch, but didn't pull away.

Andrea frowned. "Caleb, are you sure you were actually sick today? You don't have a fever."

Caleb shrugged. "I rested all day. That had to have helped somewhat."

"Whatever you say." Andrea muttered, turning away from her older brother. He was barely a year older than her. Sometimes she felt like she was caring for him more than he was caring for her. He was always so distant.

So that's the preview y'all. I know there's not a lot of exciting stuff in there, but honestly I haven't written a ton of it so yeah.

I'm excited for this. I'm going to make it way better without random twists that come out of left field.

(Like the truth of the Daevas? I didn't come up with that until the third part of the second book so like the reveal came out of freaking no where and had no real buildup.)

So yeah, I can't wait to write more of it for you guys. Thanks for all the support throughout the years. I love you all ☺️
