Chapter XXI
"The best proof of Love is Trust."
-Dr. Joyce Brothers
It was like some sort of light clicked in her head. Everything suddenly made sense. Why she never got it before confused her.
This was why people looked at her differently. This was why Mitchel always tried to steer her away from Jacob.
He was a Demon.
And him, and Angel.
Mitchel sighed. "Remember that one favor I asked to have back when Liam came over?"
Andrea had forgotten about that. "Of course."
"This is what I want to use it on. Please, don't hate me, that's all I ask."
Her shoulders slumped. His eyes lost the hope that was in them as he looked down. "I'm sorry for asking for something so absurd, but I wanted to tell you for so long, but was afraid of how you'd-"
Andrea had to stand on her tip toes slightly to be able to meet his lips. As soon as they met, he froze completely, while Andrea simply snaked her arms around his neck and moved her lips against his.
It took only a second for Mitchel to grab her hips in his hands and respond to her. She smiled as soon as he did and pushed herself against him.
When Mitchel gently swiped his tongue against hers for entrance, she gladly accepted, opening her mouth.
The only words to describe this kiss was simply-
Indescribable.
When asked later what it felt like, Andrea wouldn't be able to describe it. It was perfect. It was magical.
She felt those fireworks they spoke about in every single story she read. Except, they were even more glorious then she imagined. It was like a drug- just the taste of him made her realize how long she was missing out. Everything she had felt for anyone else just seemed like a supplement until this very moment. Liam was someone she couldn't even remember. Why had she pursued the blonde man again? Jacob- he was like a terrible aftertaste. Why had she ever liked him again? She couldn't remember exactly, but it certainly didn't compare to the feeling of being with Mitchel in this moment.
Eventually they ran out of breath. Andrea rested her head against him as she took in the air she had been deprived of. Her forehead rested nicely against his lips, permitting Mitchel to smile and kiss her forehead.
When she looked up at him, she saw his happy expression. He moved his hands from her hips up to her waist. "I've been waiting to do that since I saw you that night."
She furrowed her brow. "What do you mean?"
Mitchel sighed contently. "When you first moved there, you saw the large crowd, right? Well, we were going to a meeting for keeping our secrets hidden from you and your family. Well, on our way back I saw you asleep against the window, and I had to put you to bed, so I may have snuck into you house and out you to bed."
Andrea felt a small smile forming on her face. "At least you didn't have to change me. Though, why'd you do it?"
"When I saw you standing in the doorway, I immediately knew you were it for me, even though I tried to deny it. When I saw how uncomfortable you were against the window, I had to help you."
She smiled as she leaned up and softly pecked his lips. "I think I first fell for you on the hill, on my first day of school."
She gently pressed her hand to his cheek and moved it up to brush his hair out of the way of the scar he had. "When I touched this scar, I felt something, even though I tried so hard to deny it because I was scared you'd be another Liam. I wanted you to lo- like me, but I wanted you to admit it in time."
Mitchel smiled. "Andrea, I'll never be able to not like you."
Andrea smiled, and was about to say something when somebody cleared their throats behind them. Andrea looked behind her to see a tall man standing there. "I'm sorry to interrupt this happy reunion, but we are in Hell and we do have to grab the others."
"Who is this?" Andrea asked, eyeing him.
The man smiled. "My name is Salvin Goodright."
The boy who had some of his blood drawn stepped forward. "Draco Darkwood."
And lastly, a short girl who looked to be about sixteen. "Rayna Farrow."
Andrea smiled at them all. "It's nice to meet you. Thank you for helping in my rescue."
"Oh, we aren't done yet." Aristide said, stepping forward.
Andrea turned to him, enveloping him in a hug. Then, she kissed his cheek. "Thank you for helping save me, Aristide." She said, hugging him tighter.
The six of them hurried off to go find the others. Andrea was excited to see them. After all, who wouldn't be when they risked their lives to save you?
Not only that, but she was excited to find out what they were.

I didn't know what happened.
One minute I was in my right mind, the next I was slicing through demons, no remorse flowing through my body.
As soon as Estal was hit behind me, this primitive rage overtook me, and I began to fight Ezekiel with every single ounce of strength I had in my body.
I could slightly hear voices screaming my name, but I didn't listen.
Somewhere through the whole battle, I ended up shifting.
Apparently my weapon wasn't good enough.
Once in my wolf form, I blacked out.
When I finally came to, I was lying in a pool of black blood, naked. My hair was drenched in the stuff, and the blood seemed to be coating my skin. I sat up, my head pounding.
Looking up, I saw everyone tending to one another's wounds, ignoring me completely. I groaned again, the headache beginning to feel like a sledgehammer against my temples.
Garroth glanced up, and upon seeing me awake, hurried over with a towel. He helped me up and wrapped me in it. He gently led me over to the area everyone else was in, and everyone stared at me. Garroth sat me down, and looked me over, checking for an physical wounds.
"Timothy, do you remember what happened?" Caleb eventually asked.
Everyone turned to me. I hesitated. "Only flashes." I lied.
I remembered everything but the part were I shifted. Leyna looked down. "What are you?"
Darrin scowled. "Let's leave Timothy alone, alright? He's been through enough." While his words were easy and cautioned, his tone was deep and angered.
Honestly, I couldn't blame him.
Suddenly, there was a shout from the right. I looked over to see Rayna running towards us with Draco, Salvin, Aristide, Mitchel, and Andrea trailing behind her. When Rayna saw me, she stopped. "Timothy...what happened?"
When the others came up, their eyes widened. Andrea ducked her head into Mitchel's side, and he simply hugged her closer, bending down to kiss her temple and whispered something in her ear.
I raised an eyebrow at the action, but no one else seemed to notice. Before I could say anything, Troy appeared in front of me. "So tell me, Timothy, what you mean?"
"Excuse me?"
"When Xezal asked why you had no parents!"
The memory flashed in my mind, and I clenched my fists. "He had some sort of power over me, I wasn't in control of my actions, and he made me say that. Forget it, Troy."
"What? What happened?" Aristide asked, eyeing us.
"Yeah, what happened?" Zoe asked, moving towards me.
"Timothy said this to Xezal when he asked why he never got to meet his parents: 'Because Leyna's pack took them away from me! They murdered my pack in cold blood!'"
"You're a werewolf?" Andrea asked, eyeing him.
Shit. I thought, though by everyone's wide eyes, I probably said it out loud. Or maybe they were just shocked as well by Andrea's question.
Andrea laughed at their expressions. "Relax, guys. I know Mitchel's an Angel and Aristide is the son of Frankenstein. It's actually pretty cool."
"I'm actually a-"
"Monster Hunter." Troy growled out, eyeing me angrily.
Mitchel and Aristide froze. "What?" Salvin asked.
"Like Sam and Dean?" Draco asked, his eyes wide.
Charlotte looked at him. "What is with you and those two?"
Draco shrugged. "It's a good show."
"I second that." Caleb said, raising his hand slightly.
Andrea noticed her brother for the first time. "Caleb?" She screamed, eyeing him.
Caleb looked at her sheepishly. "Hey, sis."
"What are you doing here?" Aristide asked.
He opened his mouth to respond when Michal spoke up. "It seems that Garroth, Timothy, Darrin, and Caleb are Monster Hunters and lied to us about that. Who knows what they want."
I clenched my fist, and then stood up, my towel slipping off. Frankly, I couldn't care less. Let it hang out like God intended it to. The girls all looked away, and even some of the boys. I stomped over to Michal and jabbed him in the chest. "Listen here, Alpha." I spat his title out, not caring about the repercussions. "We came here because a human family moved into a Monster town. Do you not see the problem there? After me and Garroth came, we met up with Caleb and Garroth spoke to him. Upon hearing the events that had happened at the time, Garroth was pissed. He may have said some words. Then, Andrea was kidnapped. Garroth called in Darrin to help- even though we didn't need his help- to find Andrea and get her back. The reason we haven't harmed you is because we have no reason to. If you were, let's say, Ezekiel, then yes, I'd murder you. If you were Xezal, I'd do unspeakable things to you. If you were Lilith, I'd be a little more lenient. However, you are Michal. You are someone who I consider a friend, and let me tell you, it takes a while for me to trust someone with the title of friendship due to hardships I've experienced in the past. So, if you think that we came here to hurt you, get it inside your thick skull that we only want to help. And besides, now that this has all blown over, we'll stay for a little bit before we leave, seeing we aren't wanted. Caleb will stay, of course, and you'll have to deal with that if you want to probably stay friends with Andrea. You get me, Michal?"
Michal narrowed his eyes at me, but nodded anyways. I sighed before my legs gave out and I fell on my butt.
(I bet you there will be that one of you guys that reads that and says something really childish. And to that, I tip my cap to you. You are one childish reader. Now, back to me narrating my life.)
Andrea turned to her brother. "You're a Monster Hunter?"
Caleb sighed. "Yes, I am."
She walked over to him and hugged him. Caleb looked shocked. "You aren't mad?"
"How can I be mad at my brother?"
Caleb smiled as he embraced his sister. I awed, earning a look from Garroth and Darrin. I shrugged innocently.
Mitchel sighed. "We should get back."
However, as soon as he said that, Xezal and Lilith appeared. I sighed and hung my head. "Really?" I screamed as I looked up at the sky.
Xezal smirked. "Better put some clothes on, Timothy. You're in the presence of a lady."
"What, the ones around me or the thing next to you? 'Cause that sure as Hell ain't a lady."
Lilith growled. "Prick." She said.
I laughed. "That's the worst comeback ever, Lilith! What kind of evil boss demon are you if you can't even come up with a good comeback? The readers are going to be mad!"
"Who?" Darrin asked, looking at me.
I shrugged, not saying anything. After all, I can't ruin our secret relationship, right you guys?
Xezal sighed. "Best make this quick."
We were all confused. However, Lilith just snickered and ran towards me. Yes, me. Why not anyone else?
Maybe it was because of what I did to Ezekiel? Who knows.
I was shoved to the ground, and I felt the cool touch of a blade press against my neck. I felt a deep growl erupt from my chest as I attempted to push her away. Lilith simply pressed herself against me.
"Oh my, what a compromising position." She hummed.
I was ashamed at myself for getting even slightly excited.
But hey, can you blame a little virgin boy like myself? She may be a demon, but she's not that bad looking.
Think of Megan, think of how she would chop your balls off for even thinking about that.
Okay, I think I'm good.
I felt the top layer of skin break as she pressed it even deeper. As soon as I winced, however, Lilith was yanked off of me. Garroth stood there, and his dagger was pressed against her side. She hissed as he drew some blood.
Darrin helped me up, and glanced down. "Really?"
I shrugged. "I'm a virgin."
"No kidding."
I looked over, only to see that Xezal had frozen everyone else. Before I could do anything, he snapped. Me and all my buddies were frozen. Lilith pulled away from Garroth, scowling. "That hurt, Garroth."
Garroth couldn't respond. Xezal chuckled as he walked over towards Mitchel. My eyes widened as I realized what he was about to do.
"You didn't give us enough blood, Andrea." He cooed, running a hand across Mitchel's shoulder. "You should've stayed with us for a bit longer." His hand was now on Mitchel's face, and he gently grabbed onto it to stop him from moving. Not that it mattered, anyways.
Andrea's eyes flashed with fear. I was terrified. I knew what he was going to do. A blade slipped out from his sleeve, and he pressed it to Mitchel's cheek. "This will hurt. A lot." He said into Mitchel's ear.
I couldn't close my eyes as he ran his dagger into Mitchel's back. Mitchel seemed to be unfrozen, but it didn't help him. He staggered forward, his eyes wide from the pain and shock. He fell down, panting and groaning in pain. Xezal chuckled as he looked at his dark blood that decorated his blade. "What a lovely color, Mitchel."
Mitchel sobbed in pain. Xezal chuckled, reaching into his coat pocket. He pulled out an empty vial and put it up to his wound. We watched as his blood began to fall into it. I focused on Andrea, who looked like she was about to start crying, but she couldn't.
Mitchel moved his head to look at Andrea. "It's okay, Squirt. I'll be fine."
Lilith rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Angel scum."
I watched helplessly as she slammed her foot against the back of his head, knocking him unconscious. Andrea looked like she was about to scream.
Xezal stood up, looking at the now full vial of blood. A wicked smile grew on his face. "Oh, look at this. Finally, we can get our savior to rise." He turned to us. "You all look so sad. Well, I'm sorry to have to leave you so soon, but me and my associate must really attend to our other coworker. See, a terrible wolf seems to have injured him." He looked towards me. "Timothy, you know all about that, no? And, I am going to say this just once: I am not sorry at all for Megan. She got in the way. If she hadn't, you'd have died that night. I guess you can thank her for that. Well, that is, if she was alright."
Anger flared through me. Xezal chuckled. He moved towards me and touched my shoulder. "You don't have long, Timothy. Your eyes just turned red."
He walked off. Once he and Lilith had vanished, my muscles returned to me, and I fell over.
I laid there, fear and anger the only things I could feel. I could hear sobbing somewhere, but I couldn't do anything about it.
Garroth and Darrin were by me, trying to get me to move, but I couldn't.
Garroth picked me up in my front while Darrin got my legs. I was able to see Caleb as he clutched onto a bloody Andrea. Troy and Michal were holding onto an unconscious Mitchel. Aristide said something, but I couldn't hear him.
Or maybe, I just didn't want to hear him.
Hear anything.
Feel anything.
Feel anymore.
I didn't want to feel anymore.
It felt the same as when I had pressed a blade to my skin and dug deep.
It felt just like then.
Only worse.
And it would only get worse from here.

Hello.
What do you think of the rewritten end chapter?
Before, it was pretty bad. I mean, it was crap.
But now, you have a hopefully more emotional scene. I mean, it looks better, no?
What do you think of the ending though?
The epilogue is 300 words. So, to make up for that, I wrote a 2,800 word end chapter. One of the longest ones of the book, actually. This one and Chapter I are the longest in the book.
What do you think of Mitchel and Andrea's kiss?
Why do you think Xezal was trying to kill Timothy?
Why do you think they needed Mitchel and Andrea's blood?
Or did I already reveal that? I can't remember.
Why do you think Caleb is a Monster Hunter, but Andrea isn't? Odd, no?
And, what do you think will happen to Timothy now that he is reminiscing about the time he attempted suicide?
What is his fate?
And, what does he mean about it getting worse?
Okay, I'm done.
Have a good life, everyone.
