Chapter XVI
Chapter XVI
"You can always find a distraction if you are looking for one."
-Tom Kite
I looked at Troy and Leyna as they hid behind the dark, brick wall. They were both panting. We had just run through an onslaught of Demons, and were currently hiding while the others awaited our distraction we had yet to discuss.
Leyna and Troy eyed each other. Finally, Leyna spoke. "We have a werewolf, a vampire, and a half-blood. What'll that get us?"
Troy's eyebrows raised on his forehead. "You're a half-blood, Timothy?"
I held back a snicker. "Yes." I said, choking on my laughter.
The two eyed me, not getting why I was laughing. I cleared my throat. "Yes, I am, and I have the perfect plan!"
"And what might this plan be?" Leyna asked.
I exhaled. "Okay, let me explain."
You two will walk out, arm in arm. You'll stop in a easy to see place, but farther away from the Demons, but make sure they have a good view. Then, you'll turn to face each other, and make a few flirtatious gestures or whatever, and either kiss or make it look like you're kissing. Then, I'll run out, and this is how the main dialogue will go:
"I knew it! You two are flirting? What about me, Leyna?"
Leyna will become flustered. "T-Timothy? I thought you were out on patrol-"
"I thought we had something!" At this point, I am starting to tear up. "I- I loved you!"
Troy places hand over his chest after puffing it out. "Obviously she found me more attractive than you, Timothy."
I growl threateningly while pulling up my long sleeves. "Are you sure you want to challenge me, you disturbing, perverted Vampire?"
Troy moves towards me, balling his fists. "You wanna repeat that, half-blood?"
There will be oos and ahs from the Demons as they watch this confrontation. and, while me and Troy 'fight', Group two comes in and starts doing their 'magicy' stuff, and their other stuff that they do, and then we sit back and watch, unless they want us to help!
"So, what do you guys think?"
Leyna sighed. "Better than mine,"
"What was yours, Leyna?" Troy asked, his breath fanning over the side of her face.
"Get off, you damn Vamp." She muttered, shoving him away. However, her face was tinged with red, and immediately the gears in my head began to whir. Leyna sighed. "My idea involved pushing Timothy and you out there to be mauled by the Demons," she said nonchalantly.
Mine and Troy's faces paled as we glanced at one another. Troy cleared his throat. "Mine involved typing Leyna up and having her act as a damsel in distress while Timothy was holding her captive while dressed as a Demon. Then, I'd come by and save her, as the Hero has to do."
Leyna narrowed her eyes. "Like I'd ever need saving."
I smirked. God, they were so cute together.
And with that, the two headed out while I waited in the shadows.
I watched as the Demons noticed them. They perked up, and a few pulled out weapons, but then they heard Leyna's laughter and Troy's smooth lines. Then, Troy leaned towards her, and Leyna's eyes widened. I sucked in a breath.
****
Troy leaned in towards Leyna. Her eyes widened, and his brain was screaming at him, questioning what he was doing. Their noses brushed against one another, and a shiver ran through her body. He looked down at her lips.
Leyna angled her neck upward, allowing their lips to brush. Troy tightened his grip on her arms, and then he closed the distance.
She shivered against his body, and then her arms made their way around his neck. They tugged on his hair, causing him to groan. He felt her smile against his lips. With that, he gently nipped on her lips, asking for entrance.
Of course, he was gentle. He did have fangs, after all. He would rather not ruin the moment with his fangs.
Leyna gasped at the sudden gesture, allowing him to deepen the kiss. He moved his hands from her arms to her hips, pulling her body closer to his.
He had read a bit. Well, no, that was a lie. His sister did, though. She especially loved romance books. She would tell him all about them, and would gush about getting her first kiss. She said that whenever the two people would kiss, it would feel like fireworks were going off all around them. The world would melt away, and the only thing you could see was the person in front of you.
Troy didn't know how right that was.
He was a playboy. He didn't fall in love with girls. He would string them along, use them, and then leave them. Most understood that, so that was good for him. And, being a royal vampire helped make more of them more accepting to the idea. He had never felt like this whenever he kissed someone.
Eventually, they pulled away. Leyna's eyes were wide as she stared at him. "Troy-"
"How could you do this to me?" Timothy screamed, storming out towards them.
Troy silently cursed him. "Timothy?" Leyna asked, confusion gracing her tone and face.
"I thought you loved me!" Timothy said.
"Obviously she felt that a Vampire like me would do much better than a half-blood like you!"
Timothy winked discreetly at him. "This is working perfectly!" He said.
Immediately, the Demons stood up. Timothy's shoulders sagged. "Curse my inability to control whether I say stuff out loud or in my head!" He screamed.
Leyna sighed. "Well, we best make the best of it, huh?" She said.
Troy nodded as he barred his fangs. "Who wants a piece of me?" He screamed.
The sound of bones cracking signaled Troy that Leyna was shifting into her wondrous midnight black wolf. He took one glance at it before a Demon came at him.
As Troy began to battle three Demons, he stole a glance around and saw Leyna tearing into the flesh of another while Timothy was forced into hand-to-hand combat. "Shift, you idiot!" Troy screamed.
Timothy ignored him as he continued to pummel a Demon in the face. Suddenly, one dressed to look like a high-ranking officer walked through. His hair was a brown color, and his skin lightly tanned. His brown eyes searched the three intruders. Troy shuddered as he felt the aura of power radiate around this Demon. Immediately, all the other Demons dropped their pathetic fight and got into a line, and all bowed at once. "Xezal." They all said.
Xezal smirked. He eyed Leyna and Troy. "It seems that the Prince of the Vampires and a Beta has snuck into Hell." Troy felt chills running through his body. Surely they were going to die. "I personally want to welcome you to Hell." He said, smiling brightly.
"What?" Leyna asked.
"What about Tim?"
The Demon eyed Timothy. Then, a cruel smile appeared on his face. "Well, what do we have here? I remember you. You were the one who's leg I badly injured, oh, two years ago?"
Timothy's eyes widened. "You piece of sh-"
"Hush, scum like you don't deserve to speak." Xezal said, his expression dark.
"You know him?" Leyna said.
He didn't reply. Instead, tears started pouring out of his eyes. "Goddamn it! Why the Hell did you take her from me?" He screamed, lunging at Xezal.
"Timothy!" Troy screamed, prepared to hear the sound of Timothy getting ripped to shreds.
Instead, he was given shock. A giant sword appeared in Timothy's hands, and he swung it with ease. He managed to knick Xezal, who immediately screamed in pain. "Is that an enchanted blade?" he cried out.
Timothy landed on the ground, pulling the sword over his shoulder with ease. "Nah, you're just a weakling."
Xezal growled. "I'll have you know I am one of Lucifer's right hand men!"
"Blah blah blah, is that all you do? Seriously, me and my friends are quite annoyed."
"Timothy, don't push him-"
"Leyna, shut up. I'm trying to have a conversation."
"Hey!" Troy barked. "Leave her out of this! Just let him be!"
"This is a three way conversation, not a five way. Shush." Timothy said seriously.
"What?" Leyna said, her eyes wide.
Xezal sighed. "For a Monster Hunter, you're more annoying than usual."
Timothy shrugged. "I try."
"M-monster Hunter?" Troy and Leyna said at the same time.
"Did he not tell you?" Xezal cooed, staring at them sadly.
"Timothy, is this true?"
Timothy shrugged. "Yeah."
Troy felt his trust and faith in Timothy shatter. He wanted to kill him. Suddenly, Xezal chuckled. "This is too rich. A half-blood as a Monster Hunter. They must be desperate."
"My father was a well respected Hunter! My mother was a very kind and open minded werewolf! I never got to meet them!"
"And tell us why that is." Xezal cooed, his eyes shimmering for a second.
Timothy's fists were balled and he stood there, shaking. "B-because Leyna's pack took them away from me! They murdered my pack in cold blood!"
****
Well...
I spent a good twenty minutes perusing the interwebs for good actors/actresses for Lucifer and his right hand men.
Xezal is a random Demon name I pulled off of a generator, so I have no absolute clue on how to pronounce it.
Anyways, here is the song for this chapter: Freak by The Downtown Fiction.
Gotta love this song, seriously. Also, I feel like it is a song that represents how Timothy feels in a sense, because of his blood line.
Next chapter will go along with Group 2!
