Chapter VIII

Andrea smiled at Zoe. They were seated in Biology, and Zoe was babbling on and on about the guy she liked. She said he was the sweetest guy she had ever seen, but she didn't expose who it was.

"We hung out a few times in Spanish. He's a senior though. Besides, he has a girlfriend. Oh my god, Andrea! I don't know what I am going to do! I really like him...what if he doesn't like me back?"

"Zoe, if he doesn't like you, then you have to accept that. As much as it'll hurt, you have to move past it. Don't let it hold you back from every other boy, alright? There is one out there that will love you for who you are."

Zoe smiled. "You are lucky. You're so beautiful, Andrea. I am sure there a hundreds of boys out there who want to be with you."

Andrea shook her head. "I doubt it."

"Who knows though, right?"

Andrea nodded. "Right."

After school, Caleb and Jacob were walking home with Andrea. It had been a week since she and Jacob had first kissed, and he asked her to be his girlfriend the day after. She had accepted, and now the two were walking hand in hand to Andrea's house.

When they got to the door, Jacob gave her a goodbye kiss that lasted a few seconds longer then Caleb probably liked, because he grunted. "Get a room."

Andrea pulled away. It still felt like nothing when she kissed him. Why couldn't things have been easier? She was trying to love him, she really was, but it just didn't seem to be working.

He smiled at her when she pulled away, and then planted a kiss on her forehead. He waved goodbye and then walked off. She looked at Caleb who had already gone inside. She followed him in and turned around to shut the door. However, she was immediately squeezed into a bear hug. She squealed. She whipped around to come face to face with Giselle. "Giselle?"

"He is even hotter in real life!" She cried as she stared at her.

"Y-you saw us-"

"Yep! Totally beautiful!"

"Yeah!" Nash said as he walked over and slung an arm around Giselle. "So happy for you!"

Drake walked over. "Yeah, you deserve a guy who loves you."

Liam walked over but he said nothing. In fact, he couldn't even make eye contact with her. She said nothing, and didn't even feel anything for him.

Caleb was leaning against the door. "You the only ones that came?"

"Yeah."

"What about your girlfriend?" Andrea asked as she looked at him.

"We broke up a week ago. One of my friends caught her cheating."

"That's what happens when you have long distant relationships." Andrea's mother said as she walked out.

"Yeah." He father said as he followed her.

"Its fine," Caleb said, shrugging "I was starting to get interested in someone else anyways."

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Andrea walked over and opened it. Estal was standing there. "Andrea, you for-" He glanced up and stopped talking when he saw her friends. His jaw immediately clenched and his expression grew guarded. "Who are these people?"

"Wha- oh, these are my friends that live back in Texas. Liam, Giselle, Nash, and Drake."

Estal nodded. "Guys, this is Estal."

"Andrea has told me a lot about you." Giselle said, giving him a small wave.

"She's spoken about you all a lot as well."

Andrea elbowed him in the side, causing him to grunt in pain. "Anyways, you were saying?"

"You forgot your textbook in Math today." He said, handing it to her.

"Thanks, Estal."

"Oh, Fai wants everyone to hang out today. You fine if it's at your house?"

"Of course! It'll give everyone a chance to meet my other friends!"

Estal smiled before he excused himself to go tell Fai. When she shut the door, she turned around to see Nash very close to her. "How many people?"

"Well, there'll be my group of friends- so nine- and then my boyfriend, so ten."

"It's a good thing we were heading out to the agency today." Her mother said as she smiled at them.

Caleb nodded. "I'm going to go to Nick's house, alright?"

"Alright." Andrea's father said. Then, he turned to the teens. "Ground rules: no drugs, alcohol, or anything you are not permitted to have. No going into our room, and no sex!"

Andrea groaned. "Dad, we'd never do that."

"I know, but I have to say it or someone else might think it is okay."

"Alright, you can all go now. We have everything handled, okay?"

The three nodded as they left. Andrea turned to her friends. "Alright, don't bring up anything embarrassing from back home, alright?"

They all gave sarcastic smiles. "Alright," Nash said, though Andrea could hear the sarcasm dripping off of his words.

"I don't trust you. Liam?"

Liam looked up. "Sure. Whatever."

Andrea frowned. She felt like his actions were her fault. Was it because of Jacob? Did Liam like her? She hoped that wasn't the case. She didn't want multiple boys attracted to her.

She turned away. "Let me give you a tour, okay?"

"And then Andrea began to scream at Nash because that's all she could do!" Giselle said, holding her stomach as she tried not to laugh.

Andrea hung her head as Jacob tightened her grip on her as he fell back laughing. When she looked up, everyone was laughing at her as they sat in the living room. Jacob relaxed eventually, and he began rubbing her back. It didn't feel as good as it did when Mitchel did it, but it didn't feel terrible, except when he pressed to hard, which happened often.

"Anyways," Troy said as recovered from his fit "when did you all meet?"

"Well," Drake started "we had all been in first grade. Giselle and Andrea were already best friends, and Liam and Nash were friends. I was the one loner. Then, we all got put in the same class and at the same table. Eventually, they willed me t talk, and we've been friends ever since."

"What about you guys and Andrea?" Liam asked suddenly.

"Me and Estal greeted her on the day she moved here!" Fai said.

"I delivered papers to her, but we really truly met in Gym Class."

"Same with me and Michal."

"The rest of us met her at lunch when Mitchel sat her down at our table." Leyna said.

"What about you, Mitchel?" Liam asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, my father assigned me to pro- guide her around the school. Though, I first saw her when the town meeting was being held. She was standing in her doorway, watching us pass by."

"I met her outside the school, and as soon as I saw her I knew that I liked her." Jacob said as he planted a kiss on her temple. Andrea blushed, looking down at her lap.

Liam nodded. Giselle smiled. "You know, you are all great people. When Andrea kept reaching out to us on her first day of school about how bad it was, I kind of figured you'd all be bad people, but that's not the case!"

"She reached out to you?" Mitchel asked, concern lacing his voice.

"Quite a few times." Liam said as he leaned back.

"I was just nervous about my first day back." Andrea said, trying to dismiss it.

Thankfully, it worked. She sighed, thankful it did.

Later that night, everyone but Mitchel, Leyna, and Michal left. Of course, everyone from Texas was still there, as they were staying with them for the weekend.

They had the original sleeping arrangements, except now Giselle was also in the bed as well. Andrea simply lay really close to the edge of the bed.

She couldn't sleep that night either. When she sat up, Mitchel mumbled something. "Mitchel?" She whispered, soft enough that if he was asleep it wouldn't wake him, but loud enough for him to hear it if he were awake.

"Can't sleep again?"

Andrea nodded as she got out to sit down next to him. He gently pulled her down, so she laid next to him. She looked at his blue eyes. His hair was tangled, but she still thought it looked beautiful. She reached up and brushed it out of his eyes. He watched her, not breaking his gaze.

He gently reached up and touched her cheek with his knuckles. From where he touched her, her skin tingled. Her heart skipped a beat. That was what everyone seemed to feel with the person they liked truly. She closed her eyes, not wanted to look into his captivating blue eyes anymore.

"Get a good night's sleep, alright?" Andrea heard him say.

She couldn't answer though, because she was already asleep.

HEY THERE! Yeah, it's me, your favorite author! Nah, just playin'.

Hows everyone's day going? Mine's going great. I got seven (yes, seven!) chapters typed up. I started at two or so and it's now 10:21 at night. I'm not even tired!

So, I have pictures for Andrea's Texas friends because I doubt I'll be able to fit them into other chapters, so here you go:
