Chapter IX
Chapter IX
"There's not a word yet, for old friends who've just met."
-Jim Henson
Andrea woke before anyone else, so she silently slipped back into her bed, and fell back asleep.
Eventually, Giselle woke her up for breakfast. Andrea smiled at everyone once she got down, and then sat at the table and began to eat her breakfast.
Every so often, silence welcomed them, but someone soon got rid of it. Andrea kept glancing at Liam, but he wasn't looking at her. When she looked at Mitchel, he was frowning at Liam, almost as if he knew what was going on. Mitchel looked at her, and then motioned for them to speak in the other room.
Andrea excused herself before following Mitchel into the game room. "Yes?" She asked.
"Liam has feelings for you." He said.
"How do you know?"
"His eyes. They shine with love whenever he looks at you, but then are replaced with hurt. He must have been attracted to you for a while. Were you ever in an intimate relationship with him?"
"W-what? No! Why would we be?"
"I know you liked him before as well. Now you don't, right?"
"I lost the feelings I had to him soon after I moved here."
Mitchel nodded. "I'd tell you to tell him that, but it will probably be an awkward conversation."
"Mitchel, can you tell him for me? I can't see the hurt in his eyes! Please..."
He stared at her, not saying anything. Andrea looked down. She didn't want to have to tell Liam she no longer liked him. Before she could convince herself she had the guts to do it, Mitchel spoke up. "Alright, but I'll need a favor from you."
"What is it?"
"Not yet. Some other day. Just promise me you'll fulfill it, alright?"
"I'll do my best." Andrea said, nodding.
Mitchel smiled. "Thanks, Squirt."
Andrea sighed at the long forgotten nickname. "Still don;t have one for you." She said, sighing.
"One of these days, Squirt." Mitchel said as he walked off.
Andrea stayed in her spot for a while. She sighed. Then, her stomach growled. She chuckled to herself before going back out to eat her breakfast.

The day her friends were leaving was filled with tears. Mitchel had told Liam a few minutes ago, and Liam had hugged her and told her he was sorry for never growing a set of balls to tell her.She had chuckled at the last part and told him she was sorry she was too chicken to break it to him.
She had kissed his cheek though, and he kissed her forehead. It was a bittersweet moment, but she still would miss him forever.
Now, Andrea stood in between Jacob and Mitchel. Her friends were pilling into her mom's car, prepared to go to the airport. Andrea waved goodbye before the car pulled away. Giselle stuck her head out. "You are coming for Christmas, alright?"
Andrea laughed. "Of course!"
Giselle smiled as the car started, driving off. Giselle eventually stuck her head back in and the door shut. Andrea's shoulder's slumped. Jacob pulled her to his side as he began kissing the top of her head, mumbling comfort words.
It wasn't helping, but Andrea didn't fight it. If she were to love him, she'd have to accept what he was doing and enjoy it. She quickly grabbed the sides of his face and pulled him down into a kiss. At first he was shocked; she had never initiated a kiss. However, she was determined.
He eventually responded, and when she pulled away, she saw Mitchel wasn't there anymore. Jacob kissed her forehead before saying goodbye. She watched him walk off. Sighing, she turned on her heels to go back inside, but then heard her name being called. "Andrea?"
She turned around to see a boy she had never seen before staring at her. His dark hair was unruly, and his clothes were crumpled. He had a few holes in his jeans and the worn converse he wore, but overall, he didn't look too bad. He reminded her of someone, but she couldn't quite place her finger on it. It was that same feeling you get when you see a picture of a celebrity or a celebrity on television and try to remember where you had seen them before. She pushed her thoughts aside. "Yes?"
"My name is Timothy, I go to your school. I moved here a little over a week ago."
"Oh, it's nice to meet you Timothy!"
Suddenly, another teenager walked up. His blonde hair was combed perfectly and his clothes weren't worn and ruined like Timothy's. He wore a clean red top with clean blue jeans and clean gray vans. He smiled at her. "Name's Garroth."
"Andrea."
Garroth smiled. "May I speak with your brother?"
"Caleb?"
"Yes."
"How do you know him?" Andrea asked, skeptical.
"We are in the same classes, except for our language courses."
"Oh, okay."
Garroth nodded as she motioned for him to go inside. Timothy eyed her, his eyes portraying nothing to what he was thinking. Suddenly, Mitchel walked back over. "Hey, are y-" he stopped when he saw Timothy "Who- who is this?"
"Timothy." He said, holding out his hand.
"Mitchel." Mitchel said, taking it.
Timothy smirked. "Got quite the grip, eh?"
"Wha-?"
"Anyways, I wanted to meet and greet with you, Andrea." He said, stepping towards her.
"Why?"
"Well, not only do I also have to speak with your brother, I want to speak with you."
"Why?"
"Some other time, yeah?"
Timothy made his way inside, leaving Andrea and Mitchel outside, confused completely. "You know, i thought he was shy, but I guess not." Andrea said, crossing her arms.
"Yeah, I thought so too." Mitchel said.
"Had you met him before?"
"Never." Mitchel said, shaking his head.
"I'd seen him around school, but I figured he was here before, i just hadn't noticed him."
Mitchel nodded. "Let's go inside, alright?"

"What do you mean you are protecting her?" Garroth screamed from Caleb's room.
"I have it handled!" Caleb replied, sounding very upset.
"Clearly, you don't!" Garroth countered.
"Very nice tea, Mrs. Silver." Timothy said as he took a sip of the tea Andrea's mother made.
"Thank you, Mr. Claw." Her mother replied in a mock British accent.
Everyone was seated in the living room- except for Garroth, Caleb, and Andrea's father, who was out. Mitchel sat next to Andrea, his arm draped over her. Timothy sat in the leather recliner while her mother sat on the love seat.
Andrea glanced up at the ceiling. Caleb's room was right above them, and she could hear the stomps that were made during the argument. Timothy was simply sipping on his tea, ignoring the commotion upstairs. Suddenly, there were footsteps retreating from Caleb's room, and then the pounding feet of someone hurrying down the stairs. Caleb appeared, anger clearly shown on his face. When he saw Timothy, he gave him an evil look, and then continued out the front door.
Timothy sighed as Garroth walked downstairs. He crossed his arms over his chest and then made his way into the living room. He looked for a place to sit. Timothy quickly spread himself over the recliner, causing Garroth to growl at him. Timothy shrugged innocently as Garroth sat on the other side of Andrea.
"What was going on up there?" Andrea's mother asked.
"Nothing." Garroth answered as he stared off into space.
Her mother said nothing as she stared down at her lap, clearly not believing him.
Andrea looked at Mitchel and motioned for him to follow her up the stairs. Mitchel nodded as he retracted his arm from around her and started for the stairs. Andrea followed, but not before noticing Timothy eye them suspiciously.
Once they got into Andrea's room, Andrea shut the door. Mitchel looked at her. "Yes, Andrea?"
She looked up at him and her heart went crazy. She bit her bottom lip. "What do you think Garroth and my b-brother were talking a-about." She said, trying no to stammer.
"W-well, I-I- I guess they were talking about a g-girl? They did say her, so that's why I am assuming..."
"I thought the same thing."
"Andrea?"
"Yes?"
"How are things going with you and Jacob?"
Andrea wanted so desperately to sat terrible, but she knew she had to lie, to make it seem like everything was rainbows and sunshine. "Great, thanks for asking."
"Andrea?"
"Yeah?"
"If things weren't going good, you'd tell me, right?" Mitchel said, turning to look at her.
"Of course." Andrea said, not able to meet his eyes.
Mitchel didn't look like he believed her, but he nodded anyways. They laid down on Andrea's bed, just staring up at the ceiling. They were like that for ten minutes before Andrea's phone rang. She answered it, seeing Jacob's picture flashing on the screen. "Jacob?"
"Andrea...I-I need help."
"Where are you?" She asked, looking at Mitchel.
"My house."
"Where's that?"
"I'll text you the address. Please...come alone, alright?"
"Of course, just give me a second, alright?"
Andrea hung up and hurried to grab her shoes. Mitchel looked at her. "Andrea? What's wrong with Jacob?"
"He is in trouble at his house, and he asked me to come help him."
"I'll come-"
"He wants me to come alone, so let me, alright?"
Mitchel hesitated. "Please, Mitchel. For me?"
"But Andrea-"
Andrea leaned up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. His breath hitched as her lips touched his skin, and she felt the pleasurable tingles run through her. She pulled away. "For me, alright?"
"F-fine."
Andrea smiled at him. "Thank you. I'll text you if I need help, alright?"
"Of course."
Andrea hurried off to her boyfriends side. Even if she may not feel something strong towards him, he still meant a lot to her.
And she never gave up on those kinds of people.
****
Jacob opened the door. When he saw her, he smiled. "Andrea, I'm so glad you could make it, come on."
"What's wrong?"
"Well, there was something- or someone- in the kitchen, and when I found them, they attacked me and I've been bleeding for a while and I don't know how to dress a wound." Jacob said as he gestured to his limp arm.
Andrea saw the waterfall of blood pouring out of it. "Why didn't you call nine one one?"
"I- I wasn't thinking, sorry."
"I'll do my best, alright?"
"I'd expect nothing less." Jacob said as he gave her a quick peck on the lips.
Andrea smiled at him as she ran to find the first add. When she found it, she hurried downstairs, only to find Jacob was gone. "J-Jacob?"
A low laughter came from all around the room. "You are too easy to fool, Andrea."
"Who- Jacob?"
"Your blood is the only thing we need to free Lucifer from his cage."
"L-Lucifer?"
Andrea was not religious, but she knew enough about the stories to know Lucifer was an angel who defied the will of God, causing him and his followers to be banished. He was sent to only God Knows where, and took on another name. Satan.
"Yes, Satan, if you prefer."
"B-but why me?"
"You have special blood, Andrea. You're pure human, yet your brother has Monster Hunter abilities. Why is that?"
"M-monster Hunter abilities?"
"Yet, you have shown no signs to them yet. Why is that? You are an odd specimen, and the Boss believes you are what we need to free Lucifer."
"Who are you?"
That's when Jacob walked out of the shadows. He looked normal, but then again, he was different. Smoke swirled around him, causing Andrea to cough. Horns jutted out of the sides of his head, twisting into spirals once they got longer. They were red, but looked burned. He had a forked tail that twitched as he walked towards her. His eyes were red, and she saw a fire within them.
She screamed, but no one heard her.

MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Okay, okay, I'm good.
What do you think? Is Andrea dead or nah? Would I be that author to kill off their main character? Maybe :3
No seriously, I am that kind of Author.
But did I act upon my natural author-y instincts? Or did I betray them and turned to the kinder side?
Figure it out in the next chapter ;)
Anyways, what do you think of Colin Morgan and Bradley James playing Timothy and Garroth? If you don't realize who they are, you seriously need to turn on Netflix and binge watch Merlin right now. I'll be waiting.
Done? Okay.
I figured Bradley would be good for Garroth, and then I looked up actors that fit the description I had in mind for Timothy, and I saw Colin, and I was like 'Oh my Gods, that'd be so great! But do I wanna actually do that?' and then I was like 'Gods I have to do that!' so here you go!
(As I'm writing this authors note, it keeps saying Wattpad is under maintenance. No idea why, but whatever, right?)
So yeah, I'll see you all later!

Hey there. This is just an update that I thought I'd do because one, I am sick and two, I don't know if I'll be well enough to update monday. But either way, I'll try to get something up.
Friday was terrible. I had an oral speech to do with a sore throat and me drowning in my own snot. Somehow I managed to get a 93%, which is good. I also had a speaking final in Spanish, which was okay. I missed only six points out of 50.
We had this band BBQ at one of the high schools in my district, which was fun, but I downed two cough drops (for a grand total of 9 that day) and almost died because I was sick and forced to run after my friends. I also almost died of embarrassment because my friend who does drum line introduced us to all her high school friends. They're all sophmores, and maybe one freshman, but still. I'm only in 8th grade, but I have eleven days till I become a freshman.
After getting into the car, I could hardly stay awake. So, an hour and thirty minutes later after watching reruns of Merlin, my mom took me to Urgent Care at the Grand time of 8:30. Turns out I had over a hundred degree fever, a cold, and a left ear infection. Not only that, but the nurse asked questions about 'that' (all you girls out there will get it) which was awkward. Of course, it started yesterday in the middle of class on the one day I didn't have supplies with me. She made the joke about Friday the 13th, and I now understand how it is a cursed day.
If you have any terrible things that happened to you yesterday, then go ahead and rant, it might help.
Anyways, my head foggy and the moment and I'll regret posting this and writing all this once I'm well again.
See you all later.
